@attoycity - The next what?

@Everyone in Miranda's group - If your character isn't aboard the airship, then don't worry. For the sake of keeping the story moving, it will be assumed that everyone has made it on board. You don't need to create a post detailing how you managed to get in despite the ship having taken off. I know people such as Haseo won't be around for a while, so this is the easiest way to do it.

@All - One last thing, I promise to get some action going soon. There hasn't really been any fighting or action scenes yet, but I plan to solve that soon enough, so please bear with me.

[Docks - Imeldan City]

Ezio looked up hopefully to the captain and kept the stone held out in front of him. As he was waiting for a reply however, he noticed a woman standing on one of the docks nearby. She had her arms crossed and was eying Ezio intently. Four other women were standing around her, dressed in similar fashion, except that they wore masks. None of the them made a move, and seemed to be waiting for something. Ezio started to shake a little and backed away, almost off the edge of the docks.

"Th-they found me. . . the lady can see me."

[Avirian Airship - Cargo Hold]

Miranda was happy to see that the others had decided to follow along. She would have liked to have been the first and only person from the land to see Avira, but she knew that it would be very dangerous to go on her own and that fellow guild members would most likely not believe her without someone to back her up.

"I don't know if it was the right choice in terms of risk, but I think it was definitely the right choice in terms of reward. No use thinking about it know, since it looks like they are about to take off."

As the cargo door began to close and the ship shook slightly, Miranda leaned back against the crate and stretched out.

"Just think, in a little while we could be the first people from the land to see the mystical country of Avira. This is the moment that everyone in the guild dreams of."

Miranda had an expression of pure joy on her face as she fidgeted behind the crate.

"Assuming we aren't immediately discovered by the guards once we land, this will go down as greatest day in my life."

@Jonathon: Probably attoycity is waiting for the next post or something.

[Liel Vanguard]
[Avirian Airship - Cargo Hold]

As Liel waits for Miranda's response, Xenkar arrived at their position.

"I'm not that boring..." Xenkar replied to Liel's earlier comment about him.

Liel closed her eyes and sighed. Then Miranda spoke.

"I don't know if it was the right choice in terms of risk, but I think it was definitely the right choice in terms of reward. No use thinking about it now, since it looks like they are about to take off."

"Ah well. I guess you're right..." Says Liel with a hint of anxiety.

The cargo door began to close, as the airship readies itself for a take off. Miranda leaned at the crate where the group are hiding and relaxed herself.

"Just think, in a little while we could be the first people from the land to see the mystical country of Avira. This is the moment that everyone in the guild dreams of."

Then Liel begins her own session of contemplation. If this little operation succeeds, her group will be hailed as legends, as they managed to achieve the impossible. Despite Miranda's assurance, Liel still kept thinking about the consequences if they fail.

"I... hope that I don't have to lose my life in a foreign land... nor in an Avirian prison.." Liel monologues.

Miranda expressed her joy though.

"Assuming we aren't immediately discovered by the guards once we land, this will go down as greatest day in my life."

Liel smiled at Miranda while checking on the one-handed longsword that she equipped, as the airship makes its way to Avira.

"Let's just hope that we don't have to fight our way in..."

Sorry for lateness, was busy with the Persona RP. RPs are hard to handle Dx

[Marketplace - Imelda][Elnica Oaxith]

After a bit of talking, the group decided to go straight to the docks, as per Wren's suggestion. After they walked around the docks a bit, the finally found Alaric's boat, although it didn't take long.

"Excuse me!" Wren called up to Alaric from the dock beside his ship, "You're Alaric, I presume? We're in need of your services!"

"Wait for a moment!" Alaric said. He then grabbed the edge of the crow's nest and jumped over it grabbing on to the riggings as he fell and then grabbing a rope which turned his momentum back up at which point he released his grip on the rope landing neatly to the deck. After this he walked to the railing and sat upon it as he examined the people who had arrived.

Elnica already knew Alaric, and knew he wouldn't have a problem.

"Alaric Boreas, captain of The Undine, pleasure to meet you." Alaric introduced himself, giving a slight bow.

"And who exactly would "you" be? I know Elnica and Kaia, but I would like the rest of you lot to identify yourselves before I make any decisions about giving you a ride." Alaric continued, asking about the rest of the group.

Ezio was the first to act, and Elnica was glad for that.

"My name is Ezio. I have to go to an island in Lew-see-in, I have to get away from the lady."

He reached into the small pouch he carried and once again pulled out the bright green stone.

"If I can get there okay, then I can pay everybody for helping. I can't do it by myself, cause I'm not strong enough..."

Arden then introduces himself to Alaric as well.

"The name is Arden Wingshadow, travelling mercenary, used to be a guild member back at Usha. I was hired by this boy here to escort him--- yeah you know the rest."

Arden stopped for a while and then continues.

"Anyway, I'm still in doubt that the island that he meant is Usha."

Elnica had her doubts as well, maybe she didn't know Aigle like she though she did.

"Malvinder Leonheart," Malvin said as he bowed, "Young Ezio hired me as well."

Just after he had said that, a seagull landed on his head, and Malvin seemed startled by it.

"Hmm, this is a rather...'happy' companion you have," Malvin said, "I hope that it does not consider my head a nesting site. My hair would be ruined..."

Wren was laughing because Malvin had mistook the seagull for Alaric's parrot, and Alaric covered his face with his hand and shook his head at Malvin's behavior. Elnica just smiled, though she wanted to laugh, it would've been rude.

"Malvinder," Alaric said, "I've seen a lot on my travels, but you are the first one to mistake a seagull for a parrot. Also the rumors tell you've taken the rebuilding of Lucine as your mission, so how come are you here..."

Wren had stopped laughing, and gave her full attention to Alaric as he continued.

"So why would Luna let her guard dog off it's leash then?" Alaric said, "You weren't man enough to guard her?"

"Everybody hates Malvin..." Thought Elnica to herself as she just kept silent, knowing she didn't need to introduce herself.

"Ah, we already met earlier in town," Alaric said at Wren, "I'm sure of it..."

Just after Alaric said that, his parrot came and perched itself on Wren's shoulder.

"Pretty lady." Ramirez said, and Wren smiled at the bird's comment.

"And that would confirm it," Alaric said, "So would you mind telling your name as well?"

"Of course," Wren said, "I'm Wren Goldcrest, a member of Aigle's Gale Guild, and I am here to help Ezio out as well."

Wren paused for a moment to look back towards Ezio, then turned her attention back towards Alaric.

"Like this boy said before, he needs to get to an island," Wren said, "We don't have a boat, obviously, or else we wouldn't be asking you to help us out."

Wren smiled sweetly before continuing.

"So, what do you say?" Wren asked, "Will you help us out?"

"I'm sure Alaric will be more than happy. I've been wanting to get on Undine for a while now, and I'm sure you've been having less than exciting voyages nowadays, right, Alaric?" Elnica said to Alaric.

[Alaric - The Undine]

After Elnica had finished Alaric stood a while longer with serious expression on his face. He then cracked
a smile.

Alaric: Well I guess, I'll take you lot, though do remember on this ship, what I say goes...

He then gestured behind them.

Alaric: And as the rest of my crew has arrived we can take off in half an hour.

There was a collective groan from the crew that had just arrived.

Alaric: You knew we were going to leave today, so get to work you drunken lot.

He then turned to look at his passengers.

Alaric: Don't worry, drunk or sober, they're some of the best sailors you'll meet. So those who wish to
come aboard do so now and we can arrange the sleeping places properly.

[Malvinder Leonheart][Imelda - Docks]

Malvin remained stoic on the outside but on the inside he was a bit hurt by their words.

'Truely no one trusts me at all. I will have to earn it it seams.'

During his silent contemplation, the others managed to negotiate with Alaric to let them on board.

Alaric: "Don't worry, drunk or sober, they're some of the best sailors you'll meet. So those who wish to come aboard do so now and we can arrange the sleeping places properly."

Strangely none of them noticed Ezio suddenly shaking like a leaf. Malvin looked at him and followed his gaze to see a woman in battle armour with several companions who wore masks. The woman in particular was looking at Ezio like a piece of meat.

Ezio: "Th-they found me. . . the lady can see me."

Malvin frowned and moved slightly to shield Ezio as he spoke in a low voice but enough for his companions to hear him.

Malvin: "We have company, and they don't seem inclined to leave us be. *points with chin* Captain, I do not wish to give you orders as this is your ship and crew...but it seems that we may need to depart a bit faster then expected..."

He did not draw his sword but tensed up and was ready to move in an instant.

@All - Apologies to everyone about this post, but I need to work fast in order to combine the two groups that have formed. It's the only real way to salvage the remaining players.

[The Undine - Deck]

The group was lucky enough to leave the docks of the Imeldan city and traverse most of the ocean with no problems; however, the woman that Ezio had spotted on the docks continued to follow them at a safe distance. She seemed to close the gap between the ships more and more as the journey went on, and over time her ship was joined by two others.

The group eventually arrived in Usha, but was greeted by a large assortment of pirate ships encircling the island. As the Undine approached an opening in the formation which led to a dock, the other ships slowly moved in around them and sealed the escape route. Ezio was feeling very nervous, despite the fact that he had finally reached the location he had been seeking. He peeked out over the railing of the ship and noticed that the woman was already waiting for them on the shoreline.

"She's over there. She's going to get me."

He turned back towards the group and looked at each one of them, hoping that they would continue to protect him during this final push.

"Please help. I will find a way to pay you. Just make her go away."

Ezio was visibly terrified of the woman on the shore and kept checking over his shoulder as he waited for a response from the others.

[The Usha Anarchy - Docks]

The woman stared at the ship as the figures on board congregated on deck. One of her assistants approached quickly from the nearby village and reported immediately.

"M'am. According to the air dock workers and our traders in the area, the next trade ship from Avira will not be landing for quite some time. One of them left moments ago, so there should be plenty of time before the next shipment. The bad news however, is that none of the pirates currently on the island are willing to assist us any more than they already have. Apparently, because the boy is Avirian, a lot of the pirates are concerned that the Avirian traders will look negatively on them if they are discovered to be involved."

The woman smiled, relieved at finding out that time was on her side this time around.

"That's mostly good news. The pirates do not concern me. I didn't expect them to even help me with trapping that ship, let alone with the capture itself. Our plan will stay the same. We will take his hired goons on ourselves while our hired goons snatch him. Once they have him it will be easy for us to get out of this hellhole. The pirates might not be helping, but the other lowlifes around here will be happy to jump in if there are easy pickings. With any luck, they'll have the ship looted before we even leave."

The woman looked around at her group as she adjusted her arm guards.

"Did Sera struggle?"

The assistant who had delivered the report nodded her head slightly before standing and checking her arm guards as well.

"Yes, but it didn't take long for Captain David's men to chain her up. He told me to tell you that she would do fine, but that you should remember that his control over the men here is not guaranteed. He says that you will not be getting her back if some bandit or wanna-be pirate Captain decides to mess things up."

The woman sighed and motioned for her other warriors to get in formation.

'Little Ezio is going to severely regret running away like this once I get my hands on him. I've wasted so much money and thrown one of my warriors to the pigs to get him back. This is quickly eating away at my patience.'

[The Usha Anarchy - Near Avirian Trading Port]

Miranda and the others following her had finally given up on seeing Avira so soon after spending days aboard the Avirian airship. They had discovered excess Avirian clothing during their stay in the cargo hold and had used it to travel to and from the air ship during stops at various trading ports during the trip. The personnel on board the ship were growing more and more suspicious as several of them reported seeing unfamiliar personnel at every stop, causing security to increase rapidly. The group unanimously decided to abandon the attempt at sneaking into Avira. Unfortunately, none of them realized that they had decided to end their trip in Usha.

Miranda watched as the ship they had been aboard moments ago disappeared into the horizon. She pouted as she folded up the Avirian clothing she was using to disguise herself.

"Well, so much for that plan. Sorry for dragging you guys along on that useless little escapade. Can't believe that didn't work. It seemed so obvious."

She sighed lightly and scratched the back of her head.

"I wonder where we are? Does this place look familiar to any of you guys?"

[The Usha Anarchy - Near Avirian Trading Port]

Days after days inside the Avirian airship, Miranda and the others has given their hope on seeing Avira. Inside the cargo hold, they found bundles of Avirian clothes, which they used it to disguise themselves during stops at various trading posts. The personnel on board the airship becomes more and more suspicious and thus tightened their security. In the end, the group decided to abandon their infiltration, but never realized that they ended up in Usha.

As the Avirian airship disappears into the horizon, Liel adjusts her armored clothing and keeps her longsword holstered to her left while carrying the metal shield to her back. Miranda pouts as she folds the Avirian clothes.

"Well, so much for that plan. Sorry for dragging you guys along on that useless little escapade. Can't believe that didn't work. It seemed so obvious."

"It's okay. Well, at least we didn't get ourselves caught by the security..." Liel comforted Miranda.

Miranda sighed lightly and scratched the back of her head.

"I wonder where we are? Does this place look familiar to any of you guys?

Liel checked around, and started asking passersby about their current location. Then she informed Miranda and the others.

"Great, we're in the lawless island of the Usha Anarchy." Liel shakes her head. "Maybe we should head to the docks, then?"

[Usha Anarchy - The Undine]

After Alaric agreed to their voyage, Wren and the rest of her group went on the ship, and shortly after the crew had arrived, they set sail for the Usha Anarchy. They had no problems on their voyage, that is, until they had arrived in the Usha Anarchy. A large group of pirate boats were encircling the island, and after the Undine found an opening to get to a dock, the pirate ships closed that opening, blocking any exit from the island.

As much as Wren tried not to be intimidated by her fear of the Usha Anarchy during their voyage, she couldn't help but be scared by the sight of the pirate ships blocking the exit from the island. Okay, so I understand that this lady is after Ezio, Wren thought, And assuming that this blockade was made by her, why go to such an extreme as to blocking off the island?

"She's over there," Ezio said, interrupting Wren's thoughts, "She's going to get me."

Wren looked around, and noticed that the woman who was on the docks in Imelda before they left was now on the shoreline of the island. Ezio turned back towards the rest of the group, seemingly terrified from the sight of the woman.

"Please help," Ezio said, "I will find a way to pay you. Just make her go away."

Wren looked around at the others, then decided to swallow her fears of the Usha Anarchy in order to properly help Ezio out. For some reason, she kind of had a soft spot for the kid, being wrapped up in a matter that was too much for him to handle on his own. She bent down so she was down on Ezio's level before speaking to him.

"We're here to protect you until the very end, Ezio," Wren said "We'll do everything we can to help you and make that woman go away."

After confirming to Ezio that she would help him out as much as she was able to, Wren stood up and turned to Alaric.

"I'm guessing your crew can fight a little bit, right?" Wren asked, "Then keep Ezio with you, safe on your boat. I'm going down to face this woman, to try and end this, whatever this is. If it seems like I'm getting in over my head, then send someone down to help out. But for now, I'd like to try and handle this by myself."

Without even waiting for a response, Wren gently pushed Ezio towards Alaric. She then hopped off the Undine, landing as gracefully as she could on the dock. She walked calmly and steadily as she headed towards the woman on the shoreline, who now had a group of warriors in formation around her.

Maybe it was a bad idea to go down here on my own, Wren thought, Although, I guess it's too late now... I can only hope that if I get into some serious trouble, that one of the others or one of Alaric's crew will be able to help me out in time...

"So, you're the one who's been following us all this time," Wren said, "What exactly do you want?"

Wren stood a safe distance away from the woman and the warriors as she spoke to her. She stared the woman down as she waited for a response from her, keeping her dagger tucked away, yet having it in a position so she could take it out at a moment's notice.

Lee l Usha Anarchy

The world had fallen apart around her only eleven years ago. She had cast aside her true identity and her royal last name to became a man.

"Luckily I am now a well endowed female, or else my disguise would have failed years ago. To my defense however when in a dress and while wearing makeup and perhaps a wig I made a pretty gir, but that is neither here nor there. " she murmured to the mirror in the small bedroom she had occupied for the last few years. She had moved out of the orphanage that had taken her in at the beginning of her parents fall from the throne and rented a room from the only person who knew who she really was.

"Mr. Choi! I'm leaving now...." she said her large pack on her back, "I'm not sure when I'll come home I heard about this group of people who have been traveling around the countries. I figured it was about time I see the world anyway and I'm dying for an adventure!"

Mr. Choi just nooded to her, "I was expecting this to happen Laurel... don't you think you should go back to being a girl though, this could put you in sticky situations..."

"True, but I'm so used to it now that I dont' really feel like casting it off, besides if I go as a girl the other members might get freaky ideas... what if someone remembers my mother, I look too much like her..."

Mr. Choi frowned. He hugged her and then pushed her out the door.

"Just go already I'm not an emotional man so don't expect tears or anything." He said then turned around. Lee just smirked and headed out the door.

- - - - -

Lee was strolling though the streets contemplating where she was going to find this group of people, she knew that she would recognize them to see them, but she had only heard about them in here-say. The "he Aigle’s Gale Guild" they were called. She was crossing paths when she happened to over hear a curious situation.

"We're here to protect you until the very end, Ezio, we'll do everything we can to help you and make that woman go away."

Lee looked down the street and realized she had landed near an interesting situation. She decisively took a turn to her right and positioned sat a cafe behind the child near the docks were the scene was taking place. She could watch from there and get involved if she needed to. She didn't mean to brag but her knife skills were sharp especially from a distance.

Xenkar | The Usha Anarchy

The group had travelled onboard the ship for days but ended up giving up on hope of arriving to Avira. Fortunately they had found Avirian clothes which they had used to disguise themselves during stops. In the end, they decided to abandon their infiltration and stopped at the Usha Anarchy.

”Well, so much for that plan. Sorry for dragging you guys along that useless little escapade. Can’t believe that didn’t work. It seemed so obvious.”

Liel: It’s okay. Well, at least we didn’t get ourselves caught by the security…

Miranda sighed lightly and scratched the back of her head.

“I wonder where we are? Does this place look familiar to any of you guys?”

Liel asked people who passed by and informed to us that we were in the lawless island of the Usha Anarchy. “Maybe we should head to the docks, then?”

Xenkar: Well haha you really want to get out of this place as soon as possible eh?

[Malvinder Leonheart][The Undine - Deck]

Malvin was extremely jittery. The pirate and mercenary ships that had blockaded them finally let off a bit and forced them into a dock in the Usha Anarchy of all places.

'This is beyond ridiculous! Whomever this woman is she has a massive amount of funding to be able to bring in so many mercs and pirates for aid.'

"She's over there," Ezio said, interrupting Wren's thoughts, "She's going to get me."

Malvin looked down on the docks to see the woman and her masked companions waiting for them. His eyes twitched a bit.

'She managed to get ahead of us and plan this?'

"Please help," Ezio said, "I will find a way to pay you. Just make her go away."

"We're here to protect you until the very end, Ezio," Wren said "We'll do everything we can to help you and make that woman go away."

Wren then pushed Ezio towards Captain Alaric and spoke,

"I'm guessing your crew can fight a little bit, right?" Wren asked, "Then keep Ezio with you, safe on your boat. I'm going down to face this woman, to try and end this, whatever this is. If it seems like I'm getting in over my head, then send someone down to help out. But for now, I'd like to try and handle this by myself."

She then jumped onto the docks and was promptly surrounded. She tried to put on a brave face but he could see that she was a bit nervous.

"So, you're the one who's been following us all this time," Wren said, "What exactly do you want?"

Malvin shook his head and then placed a hand on the edge of the ship. He then used it as a base and leaped off. As he moved through the air, he used his massive sword and drove it into the ground behind Wren. With one hand on it and in mid air, he maneuvered himself for a landing so that he and Wren were now back to back. He then spun around her so that he also faced the woman and her minions. His sword was returned back to his back but with one hand on it ready to draw when needed. He gave Wren a wane smile and spoke with mirth in his voice,

Malvin: "So what was the plan that compelled you to jump into a group of possible enemies all by yourself? *sigh* Troublesome."

[Note: Remember, Malvin's weapon is a fusion sword. in its normal mode it looks like a huge cleaver aka Cloud's weapon. It can be split into smaller swords when he needs it to.]

He then looked at the woman glaring daggers at them and spoke,

Malvin: "So, negotiations are out then?"

Arden smiled as the group reached Usha.

"Ah... the smell of home... How I missed this place alot."

But his enjoy didn't last quite long as he saw Ezio looking terrified towards the woman at the dock. Wren jumped off the Undine and approached the woman, Malvinder follows her suit. Arden sighed as he jumped off the Undine.

"A fight right when I just got off? Oh my, this trip will be awesome."

Arden then crosses his arm and looked at the standoff between Wren and the unknown woman in a safe distance. The weapon hilts could be easily reached by him when the standoff turns to a combat.

Lee l Usha

A few more people, who seemed familiar with the boy came down from the ship and took their place behind the woman. The tension was escalating. Lee looked around as yet another person jumped from the deck of a ship.

Why does he look so familiar...? she thought trying hard to remember if there was a good reason to recognize the guy. It could have just been a coincidence. I don't think so... he seems too familiar... like I met him before, probably before the overthrow...

She stared at him for a while from her position at the cafe.

OH! yeah! He was that royal kid who ran away the same year my country revolted. I met him before he ran and then again after because he fled here. I hope he doesn't remember me or recognize me... hopefully when he met me as Princess I was too young to be impressionable on a pre-teen boy, and now that I'm grown and look like a man I'll be totally unrecognizable... I mean its not like we were friends or anything so there shouldn't really be that much of a memory at all in his head... Oh! I'm worrying over nothing that is for sure...

She stood up and crossed to him, "Errr ... are you with the child? " she asked, "you wouldn't happen to be from that traveling organization would you?" she stood casually at his side so as to not ruin the intimidating effect of the gathering.

@Anke : I didn't quite understand your post, so do tell me if I misunderstood something so I can edit. I tried making your character look as much as a guy to Elnica. >_>

[Elnica Oaxith][The Undine - Deck]

Elnica was restless for the whole trip. She heard from Ezio that the woman that was after him, they were lucky there weren't any attacks during the voyage, though they were followed from a safe distance. Personally Elnica just wanted to jump over to their ship and deal with them personally, though she knew she didn't have the ability or power to do it. She kept her 'spirit' for later, knowing there will be a better time for it. They eventually arrived in Usha, and as Elnica expected, they had a welcome party, sponsored by Usha Pirates.

"She's over there. She's going to get me." Ezio said in fear as he turned around and looked at the group.

"Please help. I will find a way to pay you. Just make her go away."

Ezio was visibly terrified of the woman on the shore and kept checking over his shoulder as he waited for a response from the others.

"We're here to protect you until the very end, Ezio," Wren said, "We'll do everything we can to help you and make that woman go away."

Without even waiting for a response, Wren gently pushed Ezio towards Alaric. She then hopped off the Undine, landing as gracefully as she could on the dock. She walked calmly and steadily as she headed towards the woman on the shoreline, who now had a group of warriors in formation around her.

Malvin was next to move, leaping off the ship, providing unnecessary entertainment, flaunting his sword around.

"So what was the plan that compelled you to jump into a group of possible enemies all by yourself? *sigh* Troublesome."

"So, negotiations are out then?"

Arden then jumped off leaving Elnica alone. Arden then crosses his arm and looked at the standoff between Wren and the unknown woman in a safe distance. The weapon hilts could be easily reached by him when the standoff turns to a combat.

Elnica looked over the group from the deck, putting her arms on the sides, contemplating whether to join the fun or not. "I haven't been exercising lately.."

As Elnica is thinking as the tension rises, an androgynous person stood up from the cafe nearby, walking to Arden and said, "Errr ... are you with the child? " she asked, "you wouldn't happen to be from that traveling organization would you?" she stood casually at his side so as to not ruin the intimidating effect of the gathering.

"Way to kill the tension, pretty boy." Elnica jumped off the deck, after deciding she wants to join after all. "If you can fight, hang around, we might need some help."

Elnica stood beside Wren, and deciding that no use will come from talking anyway, pulled out both of her weapons from under her coat.

"Better be safe than sorry. It would be better if they were to back off, but I guess that wont be happening."

She took a deep breath, and eased her magic energy into her weapon, making it emit a green glow.

"Feeling like giving up trying to go for the boy for whatever perverted desires you may have, old hag?"

^ you didn't misunderstand, she looks like a guy and pretends to be one. I think you might have just copy and pasted too far. It's okay though.

Lee l Usha Anarchy

Lee mentally smaked herself for walking over at that moment in time when a girl jumped off the ship.

"Way to kill the tension, pretty boy. If you can fight, hang around, we might need some help."

"Uh, yeah I can fight..." Lee replied looking the girl straight in the face. Pretty Boy? HA! The irony of that statement!!!

Lee reached into her pockets, standing as if she were just relaxing but in reality she was gripping two knives with deadly poison on the blades. She had treated herself to the point of immunity, but to the common person it would be lethal to the scratch.

She looked back at the man who was the subject of her interest.

[Arden Wingshadow | Usha Anarchy - Docks]

As Arden looked at the condition of the standoff. A guy came up to him.

"Errr ... are you with the child? " he asked, "you wouldn't happen to be from that traveling organization would you?" he stood casually at Arden's side so as to not ruin the intimidating effect of the gathering.

Arden then looked at the guy.

"Me? I'm just a---"

Arden stopped.

"This guy somehow has this familiar feeling to me... Have I met him somewhere?... Nah, must've be my imaginations."

As Arden about to continue, he was cutted off by Elnica.

"Way to kill the tension, pretty boy." Elnica jumped off the deck, after deciding she wants to join after all. "If you can fight, hang around, we might need some help."

"Uh, yeah I can fight..." said the guy replying to Elnica. The guy reached his pockets then looked back at Arden.

"Have I met you before? I'm sure you look a little bit like a girl that I've met before I throw away my royalty." Says Arden curiously.

"But to answer your question, yeah I'm with the boy, but I'm not on that organization." Arden continues. He then continues to look at the standoff.

[Usha Anarchy - The Undine]

Alaric looked from the prow of The Undine as Wren and some of the others went ahead to the docks to meet with
this mysterious "lady". He had been joined by Cortez and Ramirez was in his usual place, on his shoulder.

Alaric: Well it seems the guilders are pretty excitable lot, most of them anyway.

Cortez: Yeah, they don't have any idea how this place works do they?

Alaric: Some do...

Cortez: You want to get stuck in there too.

Alaric: I'm that obvious?

Cortez: Just to me kid, just to me...

Alaric: Well, I guess I'll be going then...

He took his sword from Cortez who had brought it with him and walked to the plank leading to the docks. When
he was halfway down he turned to face Cortez.

Alaric: You know, I really dislike the notion of having to worry about all these wannabe pirates around us.

Cortez: I agree, they can't even regocnise the ship and it's only been three years since we last visited.

Alaric: You figure they'd still remember "That"?

Cortez: "That"?

Alaric: Don't play fool with me now Cortez, it hasn't worked before...

Cortez: Well you caught me there...

Alaric: When I give the order...

Cortez: We'll scare the lot of them.

Alaric nodded and got down to the docks and started walking towards the group that had already gone before
and was facing of with the other group. When he was halfway to the group he heard a shout coming from The
Undine.

Cortez: Boys! Our captain wants to impress the girls, so let's give him a hand!

There was a loud cheer from the crew that made certain that they approved their captain's actions.

Alaric was blushing however and turned to the ship to see Cortez shouting into his general direction.
Well there goes the hope that not everybody heard that...

Alaric made a rude gesture at Cortez and then turned his back to him. He started walking to the group
certain that his face was red as an apple. When he arrived he took a place behind the group. Far enough
that he wouldn't be the first to be hit, but close enough to help should anyone need it.

[Usha Anarchy - Docks]

Shortly after Wren had jumped off of the boat, Malvin went completely against what she had asked the others to do, jumping down off the Udine with his sword drawn no less, then turning around to face the woman and stand next to Wren.

"So what was the plan that compelled you to jump into a group of possible enemies all by yourself?" Malvin said, in what Wren would interpret in a haughty tone of voice, "Troublesome."

At first, Wren was utterly shocked by what he had said, thinking that she was a complete fool for simply jumping off the boat to face the woman. After Malvin had spoken again, this time to the woman, Wren's shock was replaced with anger, and she couldn't help but lash out at him for what he had just said.

"Excuse me!?" Wren exclaimed, "Who was the one who gave us trouble back in Imelda, who was so eager to 'have his swords taste blood'? It certainly wasn't me, that's for sure. Of course I have a plan, I wouldn't have jumped down here without something in mind. Or at least, I had a plan, until you decided to rashly jump down here. Do you think that I can't defend myself or something?"

Saying I'm troublesome? Wren thought as she sighed furiously and stepped away from Malvin to prevent herself from lashing out at him again, Excuse me!? And thinking that I don't have a plan? Of course I had one, until he had to come down here so hastily and ruin it. I thought that I might be able to find out why exactly this woman is after Ezio, to find out what this lady's deal and Ezio's situation really is... Until he showed up. And having the nerve to speak so lowly of me, while acting like we're friends or something. Yeah right. What a jerk.

As Wren had lashed out at Malvin and tried to calm herself down about the whole incident, Arden had jumped off the Undine as well, and a stranger, one who didn't seem to be with the woman, came over to them, and started talking to Arden. After that, Elnica jumped off the boat, and spoke to the boy.

Oh great, we're going to have a full blown conversation in the middle of a stand off, Wren thought sarcastically, but after the boy the boy had said that he could fight, she managed to quiet her sarcastic thoughts. Still, I wish they could take this more seriously, Wren thought, They're having a conversation at a time where we can be attacked at a moment's notice.

"Feeling like giving up trying to go for the boy for whatever perverted desires you may have, old hag?" Elnica asked.

And there goes the chance of having that woman tell us why she wants Ezio so badly, Wren thought.

As they were waiting for the woman to respond, Wren could hear a shout coming from someone on the Undine.

"Boys!" A man yelled, "Our captain wants to impress the girls, so let's give him a hand!"

Wren took a quick look in the direction of the ship as the men were yelling, as saw Alaric coming towards them, blushing madly. Wren turned back towards the woman with a smile. She found it cute that he was so embarrassed, and now that her plans were ruined by Malvin, she didn't mind some more help. She was a bit worried with Ezio still on board the ship and with none of them there to protect him, but she was too far in front of the group to go back to the ship at the moment without the woman noticing her going back to it. If she did run back, the woman might realize that something might be amiss aboard the Undine, and that could lead to the possibility of the pirate ships attacking the Undine. Wren could only hope that Ezio would be safe staying with the crew of the Undine.

@All - After this post, or possibly my next one, I may take a while before continuing. I'm having a difficult time coming up with a way to end this, and where to go from here. I'll have to spend a bit of time jotting down some ideas that aren't too cliche. >.>

Also, the characters page has been updated to include Anke's character, who I assume is Freelance for the time being, as well as mini profiles for the enemy characters. I didn't bother giving them all full profiles, since they are mostly one-shot characters that won't be seen again.

Theme song has been added to the front page as well. The official theme of 'Under the Pale Blue Sky' is I Look Up at the Sky Because You Are There.

@Miya and Frozen - Just in case I didn't make it clear, you guys are set to fight on the Undine with Miranda. Of course, if you would rather have your characters fight on the land against the masked women (or not fight at all) then that is entirely up to you. Remember, the deck can't be touched by the characters or they will be unable to move, that counts for the enemies as well. You'll have to hop around on the railing, boxes, cannons, anything but the deck itself. You could also take out Joel, if possible.

@Fenris - Your ship crew will not be able to move for the moment, just a reminder. Don't worry though, it won't be for long. You'll still get the chance to do whatever it is you were planning on doing.

[Usha Anarchy - Docks]

The woman sighed as the people accompanying Ezio began to jump off of the ship and challenge her, before beginning to argue amongst themselves. One of the locals also seemed to throw themselves into the fray. One of the women standing by her suddenly spoke up as the captain of the ship disembarked.

"Jillian. What are your orders?"

The woman motioned with her hand, signaling two of the women nearby to move somewhere.

"We'll humor them for the time being. Sapphire Star will hopefully take care of the rest. Yuri and Tiffany are off to ensure they succeed in their part of the plan, since I do not have much faith left in them. Whatever happens, we must make sure that the boy does not reach the trading post during the next trade ship visit. If the Avirians find out about what I've done, they'll track us down and bomb the entire hideout. To put it simply, do not fail me."

Jillian tied her whip around her waist and it quickly sprang to life. The tip moved over her shoulder and waved forward, causing the masked women to dash forward, breaking into groups of two and preparing to strike with their bladed arm guards and greaves. One duo broke off from the others and kept an eye on the local boy standing off to the side in case he tried to interfere. Meanwhile, Jillian turned her attention to Elnica, who her subordinates had avoided. She walked toward her casually as the long whip continued to move in a sporadic fashion behind her back. Her eyes were narrowed and she was biting her lip lightly as she approached.

"I'll deal with you on my own, since you decided to ask for it."

[Usha Anarchy - Near Avirian Trading Port]

Miranda looked shocked as Liel and Xenkar pointed out that they had jumped ship in Usha. She held her hand up to her face and moaned loudly.

"Not here. Anywhere but here. Why didn't we ditch the ship at the last stop?"

Xenkar suggested that the group head towards the docks, to which Miranda agreed instantly. She wanted nothing more than to get off of the island as quickly as possible, and the only way to do that now was by sea. There was still a very slim chance that they would be able to secure a boat, seeing as how they were not locals and the island was a haven for pirates and criminals. They followed a small side trail through the forested area towards the dock and main town. As they approached, they noticed a large commotion and could spot a fleet of ships blocking the entrance to the docks. Miranda moved behind a building near the shoreline and peeked around the corner to see what was happening.

"Great. As if things weren't bad enough already, we are apparently in the middle of a gang war or something."

A masked group of women were fighting an assortment of different fighters near the docks where a lone ship was moored. Miranda looked back at the others to get their opinion on what should be done.

"Well. This might be our only chance. What do you say we try and sneak on to that ship while they sort things out. Maybe we'll get lucky and it will leave for the mainland after all is said and done."

[Usha Anarchy - The Undine]

Ezio watched nervously as his protectors were suddenly enveloped in a full force attack by the woman he had escaped from. He was unsure of what to do. There were no airships from his homeland in sight and his saviors were now facing terrible odds. If he escaped then he could wind up being captured by one of the woman's warriors, but if he could make it to the trading port and get home, then he would be abandoning the people who helped rescue him. As he grappled with his options, he noticed that he was unable to move from where he was standing.

'Why can't I move? Am. . .am I too scared?'

He looked around and noticed that the rest of the crew was also immobile, but not by choice.

"Good job Joel. Keep 'em pinned down."

The four men that had been chasing Ezio in the city had used grappling hooks to scale the opposite side of the Undine as everyone was squaring off. The men were standing on the railing of the ship as the man named Joel projected an odd energy across the entire deck which held everyone standing on it in place.

"Alright, they shouldn't pose a thread to you now. Get over there and grab the kid Craig."

Craig nodded and leaped from the railing of the ship towards the central mast and proceeded to jump off of it to land on the opposite side, next to Ezio. He grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him up.

"Come on pipsqueak. We're just doing our job, so don't go making this more complicated for us."

Miranda suddenly landed on the railing next to Craig and attempted to sweep his leg, but he quickly jumped back up on to the lowermost rigging.

"I'm not sure what you're all doing here with the cult harem and the pirate parade, but I'm not about to stand by and watch a kid get abducted by a bunch of shady old dudes."

She jumped up to the rigging and did her best to keep her balance on the narrow shaft. Her scythe disappeared and she made a small swing with her hand. Craig knew something was wrong, but before he could figure it out he had received a light cut across his back from Miranda's scythe. She quickly snatched Ezio and held him to her chest as she jumped up to a slightly higher rigging.

"I know this probably isn't very comfortable for you, but try not to fidget too much. My choice in weapons doesn't really lend itself to balancing acts."

Craig was now swinging off of the rigging and mast as he swiftly caught up to Miranda and drew his sword. Miranda's scythe returned to her hand, but she was having trouble using it effectively while trying to hold on to Ezio. Joel watched as this event unfolded and moved to put an end to it, but noticed that two other strangers had made their way on to the ships railing.

"David, Ray, take care of those two. Craig should be able to handle that witch on his own. I need to make sure the deck monkeys don't get up to anything shifty."

David and Ray both moved carefully along the railing, making sure to avoid touching the deck of the ship. David drew his two large claymores and Ray prepared his spear as they got ready to deal with the new intruders.
