New song I've heard and loved: the theme from Myself; Yourself, I just cannot help but listen to it. Kimi to Yozora to Sakamichi to (Kanako Itou). So addictive.

I am discovering Akibapop and its variants like Nintendocore, which is music made with 8 bit chips that sound like old video game systems like Nintendo Famicom, Commodore 64 or Sega Genesis.

Cute, what is cute? Its Haruko Momoi doing her renditions of classic anime themes like Lum's Love Song, Tonari no Totoro theme, and Hanako Runrun with 8 bit chiptunes.

The latest song I've just listen to is Gackt's Returner ~Yami no Shuuen~ Abingdon Boys School cover of BUCK-TICK's Dress.

By the way just for the record BUCK-TICK's version original or Bloody Trinity Mix of Dress is still immortal.

Versailles' new album Noble! It was released on itunes today! So far I've only listened to the previews on their website, but it sounds amazing! The CD comes out on the 16th.

Matenrou Opera's album (or would it be mini-album?) Gilia. They are an amazing band!

D's first major lable single Birth. It's awesome!
They have a new single, Yami no Kuni no Arisu/Hamon coming out on September 3rd. Can't wait!

It's not exactly new (it was released in December) but I just found out about them. The mini-album Grimorium Verum by Sito Magus. They sound pretty good from the previews on myspace (myspace.com/sitomagus). Dial-up connections suck. I can't download the whole thing, since it's about 60 mb, and I get speeds of 10 kbps at the fastest...
Also, Kaya just re-released an album, Glitter, as a best of indies album. I also have yet to hear it, but it seems most of the songs are the same as the original Glitter, except without Kaleidoscope -glitter mix- (or Kaleidoscope), and it has Carmilla. It also has Kasha - shining flowers - (which is probably similar to Kasha on Hyakki Yagyou) and Epicurean (as far as I know, Kaya has no previous song named this, the closest I can think of is Addictive Epicurean by Schwarz Stein, so maybe it's a new song...) Also, on the limited addition, there's funerary dream, which was with Hora, and was originally on the album Another Cell. And He's actually dressed as a guy on the cover of the limited addition... And from what I can understand of his site (sadly, my Japanese is very lacking, and most of what I can understan was katakana...) the songs are all new remixes/rearrangements.
