@ Skyl-san Nice to see you back!! Had fun chatting all this time :P? Hope to hear your input on the new season when it kicks off in a couple of days. To answer your question. Yes technically the series begins on October 2nd but i put the 3rd cause that is probably when the torrents will be available (fansub or RAW) so we can actually see it first hand. If i was living in Japan i had the luxury of seeing it the first day than i would've put October 2nd...but alas i do not XXD!!!! @ Xiao-san I agree with DAngel-san. You don't have to make it all fancy...as long as there are fans of hers than the thread will be popular regardless. And considering Lia has contributed such memorable & great songs there is bond to be TONS of fans here on gendou. *note* I saw your 'sample page' & i think it is very nice. Again it doesn't have to be fancy. Just add what you feel & want for it, doesn't really matter for me personally.  |

@ Xiao-san The new season has already aired in japan. The first broadcast was by TBS at around 2:00 PM (japanese time) in the afternoon today. Other broadcasts begin 0n the 9th, 18, 22 & 23 respectively by other stations in japan. ********************* Downloaded the RAW version already & you guys are in for a treat...those who have seen the first season will expect the same quality & awesomeness that KyoAni delivers. I won't go into too much so you'll just have to see it for yourselves :DDD The Opening is very VERY BEAUTIFUL is all i can say made me choke up abit :). The ending 'Torch' though not as cute as 'Dango' but still the song is very soothing...expect nothing sort of brilliance from Lia! Enjoy! OPENING 'Toki wo Kizamu Uta' by Lia *notice anyone missing :(*...however you see a brief glimpse of her near the end. *hint* hug awwww.... ENDING 'TORCH' by Lia |

That intro is pretty bangin'. :D I love that style from Kyoto Animation; so smooth and nearly realistic. The ending is not like Dango Daikazoku, yes, but I still like it. It's pretty catchy. It'll take longer for me to get used to them, but we'll see.

@ Xiao-san If you are guessing the same person that i was talking about than yeah...but i think you are leaning more towards someone smaller. I was more thinking about someone who was missing when they did the character names...she was left out this time around. But yeah the person you are guessing does appear twice in the opening & once in the ending. Pretty obvious in the ending but the opening you had to really pay attention to see her. click here for spoiler  @ h4x0r-san I understand your excitement...i almost couldn't sleep yesterday i was so anticipating this series. It's been 6 months but it felt like 6 years! Oh when you watch this episode you'll understand the relationship between this and Little Busters! or at least where LB got it's inspiration. @ DAngel-san Personally i've already gotten use to it since i've seen the 1st episode like 5 times already since i downloaded. Like i said the opening really almost choked me up cause of all the images & foreshadowing it showed. All of it made me remember how much i enjoyed playing the vn long ago & all the memories of that story came flooding back. There were some beautiful images made more spectacular by Lia's heavenly voice. *NOTE* The new opening & ending CD will be available together on NOVEMBER 14, 2008!!! GO OUT & GET IT!!!! *****************EDIT****** First subtitled available by AQS/Sprocket in 4:3 aspect ratio though. |

Ahh man. I just watched the opening you posted there Izumo. I'm waiting to watch the first episode with some well know subbers. Are SS-Eclipse actually doing the series? They did a wonderful job with it for the first season. Ahhhh. I can't wait.

first episode is awesome, i thought the after story gonna be very serious plot and its good to see they still put some comedy in the anime. the seventh orb appear (tho i don't really know what does it represent) the opening is just pure beauty, some of it reminds me of byousoku 5 cm, especialy the sakura. btw on the ending, who's the guy in front of akio?

Just watched the anime raw and all I have to say is, CLANNAD ~After Story~ is freaking awesome. Same quality as you'd expect from your favorite production company ;D  |

@ Raiz-san If that guy (in front of Akio) is present in the credits that means they will have something on Yukine's scenario. He will play a significant role in her story. I won't spoil it so you'll just have to see for yourself. It'll get more dramatic when they finish the school arc of the story. Not to say that occasionally there will be some comedic moments. @ Xiao-san Yeah the Sunohara arc is great! However there is some serious moments in his arc. When you are trying to decide what you want to do for your future it's not all fun & games. That is what Sunohara  has to decide as well as Tomoya too.******************** I just saw the Eclipse fansub & i have to say i was a little disappointed. Sure the subs look great but i noticed some errors in the translation. For example: When they notice Yusuke, Sunohara suggests they do the 'Yoshino' call. The Eclipse sub called it an 'Anchor' which is supposed to be 'Encore'. The Sprocket sub translated it correctly. |

@izumo: The only thing I remembered about playing sunohara's arc is laughing, laughing, and more laughing. >.>" I prefer Sprocket because they use less profanities than Eclipse. And they helped in Clannad Visual Novel translations. And what izumo has said. XD |

Actually, Sprocket is subbing it with AQS and TWH. Sorry for leaving out the last one. :P Anyways, just saw the first episode finally, and I enjoyed it. I wouldn't really label it as an "After Story" episode, because after watching it, I just felt it was just following Clannad (first season). The mood was very nice, calm, and relaxing, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I missed Nagisa's family so, sooooo much! So in love with her mom, haha. =^______^= It's good to see all the characters again as if they were all main characters, cause as we all know, it's going to focus on two people sooner or later, but until then, it's nice. Nothing's really different but the OP/ED themes, which were also nice. Not sure which I like better, but for now I like the first season's OP/ED themes better. :3 And speaking of that "Yoshino" call, that reminds me of something else, but I can't think of it. >_<;

@ DAngel-san Yeah i agree whole heartedly! It is soooo nice to see everyone again & this particular episode kinda showed more of their personalities. Sunohara is still hilarious, Tomoyo is just COOL!, Kotomi moe adorable, Akio & Sanae are great (anyone notice that all Sanae says in the episode is "Fighto!" XD), Kyou is just as cool as Tomoyo!, Yusuke is priceless, Mei is cute, Misae is bangin! & Ryou is also cute. Of course there is Nagisa & Tomoya looking more & more like lovers (stealing a line from Kyou). ***************************************** With the end credits the appearances of characters not introduced state that they will dive into the scenarios of the other 'minor' characters. Starting with Sunohara & Mei, Yukine is a given with the 'guy' in front of Akio in the end credits, and possibly one for Misae as well (the cat Shima will be important in her arc) before finishing with Nagisa & Tomoya. Here is the list of characters that appear in the end credits *No Spoilers* 1: ??? (not yet introduced but pretty obvious) 2: Koumura - school teacher 3: Sanae - Nagisa's Mom 4: Akio - Nagisa's Dad 5: ???
