@Nightmare: Quote from Lord of the Rings...
Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.

And with a little bit of editing...

Nightmare: I wish that pain had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Someone: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Nightmare, besides the will of evil. Your parents were meant to give birth to you. In which case, you were also meant to have what's been given to you. And that is an encouraging thought.

You've dealt with this world of pain, suffering, and anger.. and quite well, I might add. Many, if not most, would have killed themselves long ago... and you're still here, now with a job and trying to give people who have rarely, if ever, told you they love you. I'd say that shows a mountain of character and willpower, and now someone you care for deeply might not be with you anymore... and you're still going.

Quote from Hoobastank untitled song: I know that I've gotta make move, I didn't come this far to not go through, I know exactly what I have to do...

You've come this far in life, you can certainly make it over these next few hurdles. You just need to know what you what in life, and go for it.

BTW, although your grandma might be the only one that loves you the way you say, don't think no one cares for you. If it weren't for you, there'd have been no depression thread (and no depression thread spin-offs I've seen on other forums), thus people couldn't have talked and sorted out their feelings. You've been giving and giving throughout your entire life... it's only a matter of time before you start getting things back... or maybe I should say, only a matter of time before you get the happiness back that you've given.

Hmm... the hot summer gets to me. It's like 110 F where I am...

I've got a brief look at all the recent posts and understand a bit about what's going on. Wow, you guys have changed a lot since the first time I met you guys. A lot has happened. I'm just taking a break from an English paper.

Chinese is finally going to be offered at the college I'm at. Hopefully Lynn might be able to take the course there. I'm most likely at university by that time. We've gotten to know each other more and I'm going to see her more later this year for classes.

And I see some members I've never seen here yet! The pleasure's all mine to meet all of you.

Things have been going back and forth between good and nasty for me. But I'm hanging on fine. Summer classes mean English and Philosophy for me. Philosophy's a blast and English is good. The second part of Japanese isn't going to be offered until next year so I've got to keep up everything myself. German literature here and there.

Best wishes to everyone.

Nightmare, I feel terribly sorry for you! I truly hope that things get far better, because honestly, of all others, you deserve much happiness. Michigan's a tough place to live in. Don't worry Nighty, as long as you have a roof over your head and food in your stomach, you're doing better than at least half of the world's population. Don't fret, it'll be fine.

I had no idea Shishio was from Michigan too! That makes three! Nice to have you in the fold.

I wish the best for you all, specially Nightmare!

I didn't know any of you lived in Michigan. It is a really crappy state. I can't wait to get out of here. I was born and raised in the town that I'm still living in. All these years I have had to stand by and watch them take my beautiful town and destroy all the trees and most of the people just aren't friendly anymore. When I move this fall, I'm never coming back excpt to visit family on holidays. There's nothing here worth really staying for and a lot of the business's is really going down hill. This state sucks! But hey! If you want to hear my happy news check out the happiness thread. I promise I won't complain about Michigan there. Thank you to all those who said nice and supportive words to me. It helped me more then I think you know. I too wish for everyone to find some happiness. Even if it's only a little bit. Remember everyone, whatever you may believe, I believe that we are never given more in life then we can handle. Just sometimes, we need some extra help from a friend or even a stranger. Somtimes, happiness comes to you in complete disguise.

Y'know... A while ago, I was thinking...

Jomunga = Likes Japan
Haniko = Likes Japan
Me = Likes Japan
Yuki = Likes Japan
Pixi = Doesn't like Michigan
ROQ = Doesn't like Michigan
Nightmare = Doesn't like Michigan

Maaany other Gendou members = wouldn't mind living in Japan...

The plan: Take over Japan and use it as Gendou HQ
The army: Any/all Gendounians
Bonuses: Nightmare can have extra support being around people that like him, people that have girlfriends/boyfriends can be with each other, people that dislike where they are can get away

Well... we don't need to take over Japan and use it as Gendou HQ, but this might not be a bad idea, eventually...

YOU GENIUS SACHIEL-SAN! I would love to go to Japan!!! It's heaven on earth for us. Michigan's boring and without any real sense of intrigue. Japan is a wonderful country full of surprises. Besides, I wasn't even born in the U.S., so I have no problem moving to Japan!

It might be tough to take over Japan, considering all the giant robots...but hey! It'll be cool to see what happens!

If anything, Gendou deserves it's own country. That would amazing!

I'd visit Japan for my family there. But maybe some Japanese think the same way about other countries maybe? How they're used to their own and would like to try another country? What I mean is that I don't think any place could be boring at all. Maybe some people just prefer a quiet place and some not. The younger generation mostly prefer the latter.

That's an awsome idea Sachiel! I would love to go to Japan. Ray and I were planning on learning the language together and then taking a trip there. Gendou Hq......it could work

Isn't that kinda the idea the settlers had when they raped and pillaged the great nation of the Native Americans? In taking it over wouldn't we be destroying what makes it so special? The centuries old culture and the people who live there. I'd rather just admire Japan as it is. The whole land of the rising sun business instead Gendounia Prime. =P

Hahahah if you want to live in japan comfortably maybe you should take over it...XD I heard living there is though for foreigners, especially in tokyo... Besides the expensive living costs, it'll also be difficult to find a job...

Hmm, but what wolf said is true either, by taking it over means you'll change anything you like in the first place about japan... We like japan because japan is the way it is now. But hey, making the country of our own isn't so bad either, lets prepare a battleship...XD

I agree with Wolf, let us just wait until California separates and drifts off from the mainland and turn that into Neo-Japan aka Gendounia.

*Jots down a memo on back of hand: Michigan sucks.

I will remember that.

I did remember Nightmare saying he liked Michigan at one point, or maybe its just the country side he liked.

I must say, California is a nice state. But houses are expensive. grrrr. At least I have an expensive house I can sell, but I still want to live in California.

Then sell it and move to the Carolinas. You can still get a good chunk of land for dirt cheap down there.

This summer is probably the few time I can post this often. But I'll make the best outta it.

What about... when in a bout 15 years when Antartica grows plants? Would anyone be interested in claiming that area for gendou? Lotsa ice. Penguins. March of the Penguins...

Dirt cheap land for a reason, its out in nowhere.

What would people rather have? Really big nice house that is kinda far from the city.

Or

Live in a suburb that has a good location with a normal house.

Hmm...? Dost thou dislike Hoobastank...? *passes on quoting a few songs right now XD*
Jomunga: Add in another puzzling link here, continue repeating until the recipient ends at a romantic objection, a love-y song, etc.
And I could've sworn I heard you say you didn't like Michigan (something about nothing but sluts and whores if my memory serves right...? Or was that just about your school...? >.>)... Ah well, you know what you like, regardless of what you may or may not have said.

Have fun camping Nighty?

And ye are right on the beauty of Michigan, at least that picture you have... Those trees are such a deep, lush green... Everything around here is either dead or browsing the coffin aisle in the supermarket -.-;

And something I wanted to say for a little while, but I had nothing else to reply to... *things aren't too bad now, but remember to keep posts informative~*

Mmm, isn't it better if less people post here? That means less people are depressed... Right? ^^;

Ou, Nightmare has the upperhand! Tell us who won that bought.

Today my girlfriend used her webcam! Perhaps this should go in the happiness thread, because that was nuts! Hooray!

I would go for England and Japan too. Japan is a given, but look what England has.

Talk about a nice graveyard.

Ha, I love wi-fi.

I won't be able to follow threads well at all. So I'm just stopping by.

Nice idea sachiel, I wouldn't mind invading japan although we might as well take over the world. nice idea though.

Nightmare, like the blur, looks like how they fight in my friend martial art, sans the body armor (fencing helmet pretty much the only thing he wears).

I'd read more but this connection stinks, plus it's 2 am.
