lessee i think that general awesome win music goes to xxxHOLIC... i mean everything from the ops, eds and OSTs were just amazing.

The one that wins for best ops and eds ever is Bleach... they have yet to bring out a bad sounding one as many anime do at one point or another.

The one that wins for best OST and BGM ever is probably Tsubasa. Yuki Kajiura really made some awesome and memorable songs that fit the series perfectly.
Although i also think D.Gray-man, Kimi ni Todoke and Kobato also had decent background music... tsubasa still is my favorite though because even the image songs were awesome XP *secretly listens to Smile by Nami like 500 times*

soo summary
1) xxxHOLIC (everything)
2) Bleach (Ops and eds)
3) Tsubasa (OST and BGM)

with all the animes i've seen thats a somewhat hard choice, but right now they are:

1...Gunslinger Girl {both OP and ED}
2...Last Exile {OP}
3...Soul Eater {all OP and ED}

but like everything else it will change when i watch new anime's.
