@Samurai - I'm guessing that Nick is going to be airing that then? I'll have to find the episodes online if that's the case, since I don't get Nickelodeon. @Ballz - Sometimes you just need a single post to kick start things again. I'm glad this is picking up again, since I was super late to this club. |

| The premiere date for MegaForce has been announced. It starts on feb 2. Can't wait. I hope Nick finally starts running promos for it. |

| Pretty good for a PR premier. Totally wiped the floor with PR Samurai and the acting has gotten better. Nice to see the unmorphed fights return. As for it being a copy of Day of the Dumpster, I'm willing to let that slide since it seems like it will be in the same sort of spirit of gokaiger, where every episode is a throwback to a particular team. Anyways, really looking forward to the next episode. |

I finally got the chance to see it after randomly catching it on YTV this morning. I also saw what I think was the second episode. I agree that the first episode was pretty much just an updated version of the very first episode of MMPR, but that's not such a bad thing. I'm still not sure how I really feel about it though. I felt that the second episode ("I blasted him with Science" I think it's called?) was pretty iffy though. I felt that some of them delivered some pretty wooden lines. As for the fight scenes, they were good, but they also seemed a little bit more 'flaily' than usual. I know that fight scenes in Power Rangers are always like that, but this one seemed even more so. Other times however everything seemed really smooth. I think I need to go back and compare fight scenes. |

@yat - Didn't someone try one of those a while ago? I could have sworn that somebody tried to make a Power Rangers RP, or maybe that was this fan club that I was mistaking for an RP at the time. Anyway, a question for whomever might know. I saw a video on Youtube about Pirate versions of the Power Rangers that are able to morph into Rangers from past series. It said it was a hype video, but it's also pretty old. Can anyone tell me if they still plan to make that series (or if it is showing in Japan currently)? I would totally be on board with watching the Japanese version of a season like that even though I usually wait for the NA versions. Judging by the fact that the video is a bit older and that they don't show the Pirate morphing into the Megaforce forms, part of me is fearing that this was a concept idea that eventually turned into Megaforce (which would seriously disappoint me). |

| @Jonathon: The season that did that was a sentai series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and there are rumors that they may incorporate it into season 2 of MegaForce. Gokaiger was two seasons ago in japan. The reason that vid didn't include the MegaForce/Goseiger suits was most likely because at the time the fandom was predicting that they'd use Gokaiger for MegaForce instead of Goseiger. |

@Samurai - So it was already done quite some time ago? If that's the case then I'll go out and track down that series to watch in Japanese. Like I said, I find the Pirate/Multi-morph thing way more interesting than Megaforce. Thanks for the proper name. I never followed the Japanese sentai series, only the North American versions, so I have no idea as to what they have done. The only reason I saw this was because I was looking up the Megaforce Opening on Youtube and saw a screencap for what looked like Pirates. |

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is a worth to watch, but if you are already a fan of past Sentai series, there'd be those moments where you will just go "omgosh my childhood" and stuffs. Not to mention bringing back all the awesome cameos from past series or past sentai references during the series for the observant. And at the same time, Gokaiger would wanna make you give those series a try too :D |

@Yat - Well like I said I've never watched the Sentai series, only the Power Rangers series, but after watching the ending credits scene for Gokaiger I already have a big nostalgia factor going on. As for giving past series a try, that's a good possibility. I probably would have watched some of them earlier, but as I said when I joined the fan club, I didn't even know that the Power Rangers/Sentai thing was still going on until I randomly saw an episode of Samurai. The last time I had seen it before then was when I was like 12 or 13 and Wild Force was on the air. |
