WOW! I haven't been in this thread for ages. Continuing on the story

When Yuka listened to radio, she started reading her book that her friend gave to her as a birthday present. Without noticing, her radio went awfully loud. Seconds later, she put down her book on her lap, took the headphones off and started looking for her controller to lower the volume. Feeling worried, she asked the air hostess who nearly walked past her.

'Can you please tell me where is the controller? Because I want to lower the volume'.
The air hostess replied in a calm voice, 'the controller is on the left arm rest'.

Feeling surprised, Yuka just know the controller is close to her. 'Thank you very much'
'You're welcome ma'am'. The air hostess smiled and she carried on walking.

'WOW! For the first time, I never felt stupid to ask something which is close to me!' Yuka chuckled quietly.
'I need to make sure not to ask something stupid next time'. She smiled as she lowered the volume, put her headphones on and continued reading.

Ok I manage to think of something so far. This might be my first time writing a story using a heroine instead of a hero. If there are any grammar errors, I apologize in advance.

The world is ending. Ok, those words might be a bit too extreme, but they are the truth. I guess I should tell you the whole story of how it happens from the beginning. To start things off, my name is Dawn Holmes; yes, I have the same last name as Sherlock. That is beside the point. My occupation is archaeology; I studied and discover ancient relics and artifacts. I am in my mid-twenties; ivory skin, bright azure eyes, heart-shaped face, hair wavy brown. I am considered average in height and feature-wise; beautiful but on the cute side.

Anyway, like I said, I am an archaeologist, my work had taken me all the way to the land of sand, Egypt. I love Egypt and all but not so much on the intense weather. But, good thing I was prepared, wearing shorts instead of pants, t-shirt instead of sweater, along with adventurer hat and hiking boots.

Ok, back to the story. As I arrive in the blazing city of Cairo, I stare across the Nile, at where the Valley of the Kings lies. My goal on this trip is to uncover the lost temple of Anubis. Why is it a lost temple? Well, if you know your history, then you should know that King Tut’s father took away the entire God’s temples except for Aten, for all the Egyptian to worship. It is also the fact that the temple of Thebes has crumbled into dust. Many archaeologists were able to uncover the other god’s temples, all except Anubis’.

In my theory of the location of Anubis’ temple, I believe that it lies along with the Valley of the Kings, on the other side of the Nile. When I told my colleagues about this theory, they laugh and say that no such temple would lie close to the Valley of the Kings. Well, I don’t blame them for thinking that. Since in common sense, all the temples that were found are found relatively close to cities or close to Thebes. But, I still believe in my theory for several reasons.

In Ancient Egypt, the Egyptian believe that the dead sleeps on the west side of the Nile while the living lives on the east side, thus is the reason why the Pharaoh’s are lay to rest on the west, within the Valley of the Kings and the pyramids. Anubis is called the God of the Dead and Judgment. Since, Anubis represent death, his temple should most likely be on the west of the Nile.

Now I embark my journey to the west of the Nile River. My heart, as the boat sails closer to the west, tells me I am on the right track. I glance back and watch the excavation crew walks about, before I stare out at the Nile while my hand clutched on to the Ankh around my neck.

By the afternoon, we arrived at the west, finally. I walked out of the boat to where the drivers had waited for our arrival. The driver gave me a nod before he opens the driver’s seat of the vehicle. I slid into the passenger seat, while the excavation crew got on to the other vehicles.

We drove, while I gave the directions of where I want to go, which my sense seem to have guide me all the way out into the desert, somewhat far from the Valley of the Kings and the pyramids, but still close to the Nile. I told the driver to stop the vehicle when my senses and my heart told me I have arrived. I glance down at my GPS and realize our location is just across from Thebes. I got out of the vehicle and glanced around. The driver got out and questioned me, “Miss, is this really the location?”

I glanced at the driver and noticed fear crossed his eyes and face.

“Yes, is there something wrong with this area?” I asked in question.

“This place is cursed,” The driver stated. “Howl like creatures can be heard in this location, no animals come close to here.”

I glance at the excavation crew and noticed that they seem frighten as well. But with the info that the driver told me, I knew that we are in right location.

“Whether it is cursed or not, this is the place where we must dig,” I stated.

I glance at the crew and yelled out to them, “Ok, guys time to set up and get started. Whether, this place is cursed or not; who cares!”

The excavation crew glanced at one another nervously before getting to work, they began to set up the equipment which took about an hour or so. I stay within the shelter while calculating where exact location in this area is Anubis’ Temple.

The crew had begun digging in silence, tension in the air by the silly story of the area being cursed. But no curse is going to hold me back from my goal of finding the Lost Temple of Anubis. As the crew dig, we all felt a tremor on the ground much like a small earthquake. I held on to the table for support as the ground trembles, after a few minutes it stops.

“What was that?” I asked to myself as I slowly walk out of the shelter while the crew put the equipment back in place. I walk out and around not really looking at where I was looking till I found myself screaming. I scream, as I seem to have fallen into a hole within the sands. I landed with a thud, pain jolted up my body from the impact.

I open my eyes and looks around, all I saw was darkness except for the light that shines above me. I can hear the commotion of the crew from above scrambling around looking for me.

I slowly got up and yelled out, “Hey!! I’m down here!! Anyone?”

But still no response, I sigh as I took out a flashlight, which I have with me for emergency. I turn it on and move around trying to find out where I am. From what I saw, it would seem that I landed in the hallway of some kind of tomb or temple; judging by the hieroglyphics on the walls. I slowly yet carefully explore my surroundings, analyzing the writings on the walls. I saw many pictures of Anubis being depicted on the wall, which finally made me processed that I might have fallen into the Lost Temple of Anubis, which is no longer be called Lost anymore.

But this is still amazing to my eyes, I continue reading. I noticed something funny though, from all the hieroglyphics and drawings, there were some depiction of monsters that were usually heard in Egyptian myths and legends.

I wonder what does those monsters got to do with the God of the Dead though.
As I walk, I finally arrived at what seem to be the audience room like many of the temples. It is quite huge which I have to admit, far larger than any other temples that I have been to.

Within the room, statues stand within each corner; all of them are the depiction of Anubis. The statues itself is quite impressive but not as impressive as the one situated within the far center of the room, which look more like a throne or a chair; like with George Washington statue. The statue is in color unlike the other ones, its eyes were used with gemstones; amber crystal from what I could tell from afar. It is large and gives off a pressure like I staring at the God, Anubis himself. I shake my head before I glance around.

As I glanced around some more, I noticed a gigantic door behind the God-like statue. I carefully climb across the statue to stand before the door. The door itself is covered in chains; above the door is some hieroglyphics writing. I squinted my eyes and try to read it.

The story is not finished yet, but I'll stop here for now. I will continue the story later.

Oh god. It's been ages since I last posted around here. O_O

Glad to see this is still alive.
I see a few familiar "faces" still posting here. (though I doubt nobody really remembered me that much (just ninja like that)) Lol.

Well I really don't know what happened to any of my old stories, but there's been a lot of on and off activity for me when it comes to writing (blame life + skyrim, the ultimate distraction).
I've started a new project just around the end of last year and am.. uhh... slowly working on it. xD

I'll probably try getting some of it up soon.. probably. Just wanna see what you guys think about it, since I feel like my on/off-ness is kinda killing my creativity/story-making ability.

Again, good to see stuff still happening around here. =3

@ Komaro- I remember you, so don't think that you've been forgotten around here so easily. XD

I'm the same way with writing, a few things have come up and I've been distracted from it. But, like you, I've recently started a new project as well, only I began mine at the end of January (So yours is probably in better shape than mine is, all I have is a very basic plot and character names XD). I'm hoping that I'll actually be able to finish this one, unlike the dozens of others that I've started then stopped due to a loss of interest in the story.

Anyway, I would love to see some of your project! I would also like it if you came to visit us here more often. Maybe that way you could be remembered by more of the members here? Since you think you're not too memorable. XD

@ Zero- Well, aside from the grammatical errors which you've warned us about, your story needs a bit of work structural-wise, since you mention little things and go off explaining those, then suddenly jump right back into the story itself. Also, you give a major hint as to what kind of story it will be just with the name of the protagonist. XD

@Toyumi: Haha, well I tend to play the disappear/reappear game in lots of places because I change my "routine" a lot.

I've already started writing some of it out. It's starting to hurt my brain because I already have the major events thought up, but I just have to find a good way to lead everything to them. I'm still a lot slower than I used to be though.
I don't even have lots of characters thought up. I just have a lot of "someones" doing "this and that" somehow. I'm pretty much going to properly think about them when I actually need them. xD
I actually hope that I'll finish this one too. I usually end up ditching lots of my stories from lack of interest too. It's usually the ones that I over complicate or put too little work on.

Ohai guys...

Oh Komaro stop hiding in the closet :) Of course I remember you (well i'm required to...just kidding)

Here is a story I just started working on.

I live a very average life. Go to school, cook food, hang out with my friends, watch YouTube, and explore games on Facebook. Living the average life is the best life.

Ha.

I wish.

If there was such thing as an average life then it would be a pretty boring life if nothing changed.

I could never say that I lived an average life because there is always something happening. I lived through a millennium; I met a whole bunch of new friends and the one thing I will never regret. The person I found in my life that started this all...

I look around to see a blue lake surrounded by grass filled with flowers. The sun is shining down upon the lake giving it that reflective glow that surrounds me in a warm aura but at the same time blinding me. As I try to block the light with my hands something of a shadow comes from the sun engulfing the whole scene in darkness. I stand up in shock and start to look around for who could be the cause of this.

A book suddenly hits my head.

I open my eyes sheepishly to see that I am still in the classroom with every student in the class staring at me. But there was something missing. Where is the professor? I suddenly pull my head up in a sudden panic to see where the professor is.

Another book hits my head.

I look behind me to see that the professor is standing there with a bunch of books in her hands. I suddenly put my hands above my head to block the incoming attack of more books. But I did not have enough time as the books in her hand land on my head all at the same time.

“Come see me after class” said the professor as she walked back to the front,

“Okay” I said.

Class continued on as normal and I stared off into the gloomy skies of today. Outside it seemed like a pretty sad day. The skies were grey, with rain coming down from the clouds and it was around 5pm on a Monday in the middle of winter.

But there is always one part of the day I always enjoy.

The Bell.

The clock struck 6pm and the bell went off signalling the end of all classes for the school. I immediately put my stuff in my bag and attempted to run for the door. But, all good things must come to an end. The professor was standing beside the door waiting for me. I did not have any other choice but to respect her request to see her after class. I sat back down and waited for every student to leave. I stood up and walked towards the waiting professor blocking the door.

“So...sleeping in my classroom earned you your just desserts” Asked the female professor,

“I sleep in your class every day, why is this causing a problem for you now Professor Miranda” I replied in a confident tone,

“You must have done something worth getting the attention of someone”,

“What do you mean”,

“What I am saying is that I am to escort you to the office where someone would like to speak to you about your recent ‘studies’”,

“What if I refuse” I quickly asked and moving into a defensive stance,

“That is up to you, but I am here to make sure you Arrive. In. One. Piece.”.

The Professor started to approach me enclosing the gap between us. I had one chance to make this count. I immediately jumped the desk next to me and ran for the door. I had no other choice but to run, this had to be a bad sign and that things could have not gotten any worse. I suddenly heard the PA system turn on with the principal’s voice.

“I would like to request all staff within the school to apprehend the last remaining student in the building”,

As things could have not gotten any worse, two professors came running down the hallway towards me. I ran the other way in the only hopes of escaping. It started to cross in my mind, who the hell wants me this badly to send every professor after me.

As soon as the chase started, it was over almost immediately. I reached a 4 way intersection and there are at least 2 professors covering each hallway. I had no other choice but to surrender. Professor Miranda appeared from behind the crowd of professors that formed and went up beside me and started walking me towards the main office.

‘It would take a full 5 minutes to reach the main office if we continue to walk this fast and at the current suggest route’ I thought to myself,

‘How did I figure this out? I am an engineer...No I’m not’

Professor Miranda is known to be the coach for the track and field team. She personally runs with the team and is incredibility fit so my chances of escaping are very slim. But I tried it anyways.

I immediately ran the other way to hopefully throw Professor Miranda off guard.I honestly thought that this would work.

Nope.

Her hand grabbed my arm and pulled me back to her side and kept her grip on me.

The rest of the walk was uneventful. We continued to walk in silence till we reached the main office. The principal was waiting outside but motioned me to go inside his office. I walked into the office but no one followed me in. I thought that was weird but it appears that someone is already waiting inside the office at the principals chair.

The principal’s office is actually a small office like the one you find in office buildings. There is a bookshelf on one of the walls, a window with a fantastic view and a desk made out of wood with carvings on each side. Behind the desk was a person who I have never seen before dressed up in what appears to be a formal dress uniform. She had silver hair going down towards her waist and there was like a shadow blocking me from seeing her face.

I approached the desk and stopped. There was a chair on the other side of where she was sitting. I wanted to take a seat but I decided against it. I did not want to get comfortable in the fact that this is a really serious moment.

“So you must be the person I’m looking for” said the female person in a serious tone,

“Depends, I like the pink hair those, it looks pretty good on you, now if I only can see your face” I asked with a hint of _____,

Silence filled the room. I could see her cheeks blushing but at the same time I still could not see her face.

“Thank you, but anyways back to business. I know your probably wondering why your here—“

“Is it because of my sleeping habits in the class? If it is I can explain—“

“...No it’s not that.”

“Oh...well anyways...my bad please continue”

“Moving on, I have been watching you for the last month now---“

“There isn’t much to watch, you are watching me sleep”,

“So what you do after class is just sleep eh”

I started to get scared a bit; she follows me home from school, she watches me sleep, and she knows what I do that no one else does. Who is this person?

“Look, I’ll get to the bottom of this; I need you to do something only you can do. I want you to go to this school and meet up with this person in front of the school. She’ll tell you more when you arrive”,

“What if I refuse?”,

“Well, it won’t look pretty for you with the school planning to do something against you for sleeping in class...maybe expulsion perhaps”

I had to think about my choices. Either risk getting expelled or do what she tells me to do. I really had no other choice. My parents would kill me if they found out I got expelled.

“Fine, I’ll do what you say.” I said with regret,

“Good---“,

I had to cut her off and state one thing,

“But under one Condition”,

I had to hold my breath just for a bit to gain confidence to say it,

“Who are you” I asked.

The shadow blocking her face disappeared. She had pretty blue eyes and that the pink hair just fluttered around with no wind present.

“I’m Admiral _______ of the 7th World United Nation Army.”

‘Wait the 7th World U.N. Army? What would they want with me’ I thought to myself,

Admiral _______ stood up and appeared to be about 6’3”. I felt really short when she stood up. I am only around 5’5”.

“Well now, your ride is waiting outside. Don’t worry about telling your parents about all of this. I already have the liberty of telling them of what you’re planning to do.”

I stood there in silence, all of my exit strategies went out the window. The next thing that happened was that Admiral _______ was leading the way towards the door. I heard a bit of movement on the other side of the door which could mean that the professors were listening in to the conversation. I guess the whole school will find out what I do after school.

-2 months ago after School-

I guess it all started 2 months ago, when I was walking home from school. Our school rules state that you cannot join any organization outside of the school for ‘safety’ reasons. For this reason alone, can get you banned from the school and possibly the school board for that city.

With that being said I was walking home from school, when all of a sudden a person climbing a ladder fell near an intersection then causing a huge accident. 5 cars were smashed into each other a few pedestrians were struck by the ladder and the fact that gas was leaking out of the cars would make everything more dangerous. I started to run towards the cars while everybody else ran the other direction. When I reached the accident, I stood in shock for a bit. The blood coming out of one of the Honda Civics was splattered all against the windshield and was leaking through the window to the floor. Another car had their airbags deployed which most likely saved them. I came out of my shock and immediately went towards the car with the deployed airbags. I looked inside and saw that there was a kid bleeding at the side of the head and the female driver barely conscious. She started to motion towards her child and I immediately went for the child. I opened up the back door and took the seatbelt off. I lifted the child who looked about to be 10 years old. I carried him towards the sidewalk and placed him down. 2 medics from a volunteer organization arrived at the scene and took care of the child giving me time to head back and save the mom. She was one of the few people left as other bystanders were helping to get the other people out of their cars. I started to run towards the car to suddenly hear the sounds of sirens in the distance. I continued to do what I was doing since emergency personal would have a hard time getting here since there would be a backlog of cars. I went to the driver side door and attempted to open the door.

But it was jammed.

I had only one option left.

I started to do hand signals to tell her to turn the other way. She did. I stepped back a few feet and prepared to break open the window with my boots. I was wearing my steel-toe boots at the time. I ran towards the car raising my foot up at the last second hitting the window. The window cracked but it wasn’t enough to break it. I made one more attempt at it, this time it broke open. I cleared the fibreglass out of the way and poked my head through the window. I saw that she had her seatbelt on so I reached in and unbuckled it. I then attempted to get her out of the window. It was harder than it seemed. About a minute later, I got her fully out of the car and on my back. Now the harder part was carrying her a safe distance. Every step I took was a struggle, but I was running on adrenaline. When you think you have what it takes to make it to the finish line, you really do not. I let her go near the sidewalk and started to check for injuries. Yet something caught my attention.

“WATCH OUT IT’S GOING TO EXPLODE” yelled a bystander,

Everybody started to run away in a panic. I had no energy left to carry the woman over to cover so I did the next best thing.

I covered her with my body to protect her from shrapnel.

In a normal situation, I would have run, I would have attempted to push everybody out of the way. But this time was different; I could not leave her to die.

I haven't ever really posted up in here since joining, so I figured this would be
a good place to post about my light novel/novel I'm doing. It's not just one, as
a series is planned, and it's a story I've played out for years. I plan to have
the first volume done and released on April 1st, oho!

It's just going to be something I release online, as a way to both get my work
out there and improve my writing skills by really forcing me to commit.

http://anachronus.webs.com/index.htm

That's the link to the site, which is just a teaser page with a logo, countdown,
and some music [you may recognize the song, haha] but I'll keep you guys posted
about when I add stuff and the site goes public, and of course when I release the
first volume. ~

@ Komaro- And I have the exact same reason as to why I usually ditch my ideas, they either become way too complex for anyone else to understand them, or I just don't have enough to go off of to make the idea work. XD

As for the characters of my story, I have them though out because they're aren't too many that I actually give names to and are the main characters (Five, maybe six or seven tops). And I'm quite a bit slower with my writing process too, don't worry. Especially with schoolwork and other stuff that has to come first (Or last, depending on if I procrastinate or not). >.>

@ Doomlight- I really like the story, it's a nice change of pace and it's unique. Although, I thought that some parts of it were hard to follow at times (Such as when the teachers were trying to apprehend the protagonist and the ending). Nevertheless, it's still a good story.

@ Shuy- Nice! I'll definitely check out your story when the time comes.

Okay. I finally got around to my stuff again. Took a little time to check for errors. Haven't decided on a title yet. I'll just throw this here for you guys to check out. Please bear with the length of this chappy.
By the way, I usually represent thoughts by italicizing the line. It's just a little habit. xD
_____

Chapter 1: Transferred

Left and right, what seemed like a sea of eyes focused in on the boy. The hall was filled with whispers and stares. For ever pair of eyes he saw looking at him, he assumed there were 10 more of the same. He was the new kid at school making his debut into the 10th grade hallway.

Kai Seichiro walked through the halls searching for the metal plates next to each door, which were labeled with room numbers. The rooms in this area of the school were given a number and letter according to grade. These rooms were used primarily as homerooms. All the grade 9 students had homerooms on the first floor. The other grades filled the second, third, and fourth floor in consecutive order. There were enough rooms to contain all the students of every grade. Each grade group had most of their classes on their homeroom floor to keep from having to deal with too much hallway traffic.

Kai is an average boy at a glance. His ebony black hair and sky blue eyes wouldn’t stand out much in a regular crowd. He’s a 16 year old high school student living in the city of Juthidd, one of the many large cities located in the country of Hydela. Early in the springtime, he and his parents moved to a new home on the north side of Juthidd. Unfortunately, his parents were forced to leave Juthidd to travel around Hydela due to urgent business, leaving him on his own. He was transferred to a school on the north side of the city, known as Eustia High. Eustia was a large school on the north side of the city. It was populated by over 900 students between grades 9 and 12, as well as many faculty members. The school was known to have the largest student population of all the schools in Juthidd. He was lucky enough to be accepted after suddenly moving.

He continued drifting down the second floor hallway looking for his room. It was hard with the number of students crowding up the hallway.

Kai: “10-G… 10-H!”

He nervously walked into the room. He was a new student, so it felt awkward as he casually entered the classroom. The desks in the room were arranged into neat rows. Most of the students in the class watched as he walked through the classroom. A taller, spunky looking boy confronted him.

Boy: “Who are you? Are you lost?”

Kai: “This is room 10-H, right?”

Boy: “Yeah. You new?”

Kai: “Yeah. I’m Kai Seichiro.”

The boy didn’t introduce himself. Instead he gestured towards the desks.

Boy: “Well, you can just sit anywhere for now and wait for the teacher. We have a seating plan, but nobody really cares. You could probably sit in the teacher’s desk and it wouldn’t matter.”

Kai: “Alright, thanks.”

Boy: “No prob, buddy.”

Kai walked to the back of the room and sat in the furthest possible unoccupied desk, which was second from the window in the far back row. He put his bag down next to his chair. He was sitting next to another boy. The boy sat silently in his corner desk. He was looking out the window, so Kai couldn’t really get a look at him. Kai looked around the classroom. Some of his classmates kept glancing at him. He noticed someone walk through the entrance near the front. A girl had entered the room. Her pure black hair was tied together on both sides and extended just past her shoulders. She dressed quite casual in a way that usually wouldn’t stand out, but she somehow did. She was followed by another girl with dark blue hair tied into a single ponytail. The other girl’s clothes were like a mix between flashy and casual. Kai couldn’t help but stare at them. Just then, the girl at the front noticed him. Kai looked away as she suddenly started to approach him.

Girl: “Hmm… Black hair… Blue eyes… I don’t really recognize you. Are you new here?”

The girl’s voice was quite feminine. She had a kind tone to her voice that made Kai want to face her. She was standing in front of the desk patiently waiting for his reply. The blue-haired girl was standing by her. She glared at him. Their eyes were complete opposites of each other’s. The first girl possessed a pair of fierce, fiery red eyes that looked gently at him, while the second girl’s stare burned through him from the depths of her calm blue eyes. The two together made it hard to feel either comfortable or uncomfortable.

Kai: “Y-Yeah. I’m Kai Seichiro.”

Girl: “Kai Seichiro…”

She let his name sink into her mind for a second.

Girl: “Welcome to 10-H, Kai. I’m Clara Hiiragi. I wasn’t expecting a transfer this late in the year, but it’s nice to meet you.”

She extended a hand towards him. The girl behind her abruptly stepped forward.

Blue-haired Girl: “Clara. We still have to meet up with the club.”

Clara: “Come on, Umi. We can’t just isolate a new classmate like that.”

Judging by their conversation, it was obvious the other girl’s name was Umi.

Umi: “But this meeting’s been planned since last week.”

Clara: “It’ll be okay. It’s not like I’m the club president or anything. They can have it without me.”

Kai: “No. You don’t have to…”

Clara: “You don’t get a say in this.”

Kai felt a strange vibe coming from her just now and backed away from the argument.

Umi: “But…”

It seemed like it was impossible for Clara to back down from her decision. Umi quickly surrendered.

Umi: “Fine…”

Clara sat down on the chair of the desk directly in front of him. Umi took a seat one desk to the right of her. She sat cross-armed and glared at Kai out of the corner of her eye.

Clara: “Don’t worry about her. She’s always like that.”

Kai: “I’ll try not to…”

It wasn’t only Umi that set up an awkward atmosphere, but everyone in the class as well. There were a lot of students observing them from afar. A few other girls approached the two in front of him and began chatting. Kai found it difficult to join their conversation and sat quietly in his seat messaging some friends from his old school. Moments later, the teacher entered the room and everybody sat down. Clara and Umi turned their attention forward along with the rest of the class. The teacher started the class off by introducing Kai to the rest of the class. He showed Kai to his locker, which was at the end of the hall in a corner near the stairs. The location of his locker was terrible, but it didn’t bother him. He never really used lockers, not even in his previous school. The teacher also gave him his student ID card before they returned to 10-H. For the remainder of class time, he discussed upcoming events, such as concerts, trips, and other small matters. Once he was finished, he left the class alone to do their own thing. It was at that moment when Clara spun back towards Kai. She had a friendly smile on her face as she began tossing question after question at him.

Clara: “So Kai… What school did you transfer from?”

Kai: “Uhh… Aether High. It’s just a school on the west side of town.”

Clara: “Oh really? What’s it like?”

Kai: “It was… alright.”

Clara: “Alright?”

Kai: “Yeah. There wasn’t anything really amazing about it.”

Clara: “Is that why you transferred?”

Kai: “No. There were just some things going on with my parents.”

Clara: “Your parents, huh?”

Kai: “Yeah. They move me to a new place then they disappear all of a sudden. I’m used to it though.”

Clara: “So how old are you?”

Kai: “I’m 16.”

Clara: “Aww… When’s your birthday?”

Kai: “January 4th.”

Clara: “That’s not fair. It’s too early. I’m still 15. Mine’s on December 30th. I never find anyone in the same year that’s younger than me.”

Kai: “With only one day I don’t think it’d be easy.”

Clara: “Yeah, it isn’t…”

She paused for a moment and sighed, but quickly resumed her questioning.

Clara: “So do you have any brothers or sisters?”

Kai: “Nope. It’s just me.”

Clara: “Oh.”

Kai: “Umm… What about you?”

Clara: “Nope. None. The only family I have is Umi.”

Umi was glaring at him again.

Kai: “Are you two… sisters?”

Clara started laughing.

Clara: “I get asked that a lot when I tell people that, but no.”

Kai: “You’re not?”

Clara: “No. We’re just close friends.”

He couldn’t really believe that. The two were just too different.

Umi: “I’m her guardian.”

Kai: “Guardian?”

Clara: “Guardian or not, you’re still my friend.”

Umi closed her eyes and turned away from the two.

Umi: “Yeah, yeah.”

It was a little weird trying to place her into the role of a guardian. Regardless of how capable she probably was, she’s still a high school student.

Clara: “So Kai… Do you believe in mythology?”

Kai: “Mythology…? Well… What do you mean by that?”

Clara: “You know… Those stories…. Myths and legends told all over the world. You know… people and creatures and all that stuff.”

Kai: “Oh. Not really… They’re really interesting in their own way, I guess…”

Clara: “Aren’t they?”

The sound of the school bell ended their conversation.

Clara: “Aww…”

Clara was disappointed that they couldn’t continue their discussion.

Clara: “What classes do you have today, Kai?”

Kai: “Uhh…”

He checked the schedule he had in his pocket. Eustia’s was similar to his old schools. They both followed the semester system. Right now, he only had four classes, which were all the same as the classes he had before he transferred.

Kai: “Math, science, P.E., and then history.”

Clara: “Seriously? I guess we won’t see each other til tomorrow then.”

He wondered if she was really hoping they’d be in classes together.

Clara: “Well… See ya later, Kai.”

Kai: “Bye.”

The girls got out of their seats and left the room. Kai could still feel some stares from other students even after they were gone. His next class was in 10-H, so he didn’t have to move at all. A flood of students soon poured into the room as the bell rang again. A different teacher entered and looked around. He noticed Kai sitting in the back.

Math Teacher: “Oh. It looks like we have a new student with us today.”

All of his classmates looked around until they found the single unfamiliar face hiding in the back.

Math Teacher: “You must be…”

The teacher looked into a binder he had with him.

Math Teacher: “Aha! I did get a note about you. Kai Seichiro. Well, Kai. Everything I’ll be teaching will be the same as your old school, so you don’t have to worry about having missed out on anything. The same goes for most of your other classes.”

Kai: “Okay.”

The teacher continued on with the lecture. Kai wasn’t lost at all. It was almost like they just continued from where he left off in his old school, but with a different teacher. The day proceeded without any major issues. His science class was in a different area of the school in room 213. The room was built just like a mini science lab for students. He took a seat and the class began like the previous.

When the lunch break came by, he wasn’t sure if the school sold any food. Instead of looking around, he went to a nearby convenience store he had passed on his way to school. He bought a sub sandwich. It wasn’t that bad considering it was from a convenience store. He hadn’t seen Clara or Umi since this morning. He finished his sandwich on a bench outside the store. When he realized lunch break was over, he went back to the school.

His next class was P.E. He had already brought a pair of shorts, an extra T-shirt to change into, and deodorant. His class was taking place behind the school. He checked his map and looked for the changing rooms. They were conveniently located in the back near the field. He went there and changed quickly. Both changing rooms were filled with the voices of the other students. When he finished changing he went outside and stretched for a moment. He then started to look for his P.E. teacher. It was easy because he was wearing a brightly colored jersey with his name on the back. When he joined the rest of the class, he noticed something in the corner of his eye. Umi was in the same class as him. All her attention was on the instructor and she didn’t even seem to notice him, or she may have just been pretending not to notice. Clara didn’t seem to be around. The teacher brought everyone’s attention to himself. He saw Kai and gave him a serious look. It felt like he was saying something like, “It doesn’t matter if you’re new. Nobody gets special treatment, got it?”

P.E. Teacher: “Ah. You’re probably Kai Seichiro.”

For a brief second, the class’s attention was on him, but it soon went back to the teacher.

P.E. Teacher: “Okay, let’s start with four laps around the track.”

Nobody had a problem with it and the entire class immediately started running. Kai ran in the middle of the group, trying not to fall behind. Meanwhile, Umi was running a short distance ahead of the entire group. As more time passed, she gradually went further ahead. By the beginning of the fourth lap, Umi was already nearly three quarters finished. Kai could hear the panting of some of the students around him, but none of them gave up. When they were halfway finished, Kai realized that another student, aside from Umi, had already finished. He didn’t notice anyone else run ahead from the group, so it was possible that the student might have been far ahead of Umi. The rest of the class finished the last lap. Their teacher was waiting for them at the end of the track.

P.E. Teacher: “Nice effort guys. Take a little break for now.”

Everyone rested in the grass as another class started running their laps. Kai looked around for the only person he knew. She was the only one out of the entire class that seemed completely unaffected by the laps. There was no sign of the other student who finished ahead of the class. Kai could tell from that distance that it was a girl with a brown ponytail, but there were quite a few matching that description in the class. The teacher came back soon with a single soccer ball.

P.E. Teacher: “We’re going to be playing some soccer today. Does everyone know how this game works?”

Nobody answered, so he continued.

P.E. Teacher: “Today we have Mr. Seichiro with us too, so that means teams will definitely be even. Ellie, Umi, since you both finished your laps first, you’re the team captains. Take your pick.”

Umi as well as another girl stepped away from the rest of the class. The other girl was definitely the one Kai saw from across the field. She had long, dark brown hair that was tied into a ponytail. She was a little shorter than most of the girls. The two captains stood a moderate distance away from each other. The other girl had a satisfied grin on her face.

Kai: “Umi looks kinda pissed, but she was like that this morning too… unless she’s just always pissed… She must be one angry girl.”

One by one the two started picking members starting with Umi. After only about 10 seconds, most of the students were already picked. Kai was sort of hoping he would get picked by Umi instead of being left the last person. Both teams already had 8 people each. Umi seemed to be avoiding him. The girl by the name of Ellie suddenly pointed at him.

Ellie: “That Churro guy!”

She called him out with an extremely energetic voice.

Kai: “Churro?”

Ellie: “Get over here!”

He quickly ran to her group. The last 4 students were picked in mere seconds. It was almost like the two had their teams picked ahead of time.

Ellie: “Let’s do this.”

Everybody ran onto the field.

Ellie: “You two, forward. Jumpy, goal. You guys, back. Shorty, Churro, Beefy, mid with me.”

Without using names, she assigned positions to every member of the team. She knew exactly who she wanted in each position. Umi’s team wasn’t falling behind either. Kai didn’t even hear a single word from them and they had already sorted out their positions as well. The two captains walked into the center of the field. They flipped a coin then returned to their teams.

Ellie: “We got it.”

The teacher threw the ball to Ellie. The game started and the two teams battled it out for the rest of the class. Kai tried his best to keep up with his team. After approximately an hour, the game ended. Neither team could score a goal on the other. It was like both teams were absolutely perfect. Dozens of shots from both teams were stopped by both goalies. Everyone played well, including Kai. Not a single person could’ve been identified as the weakest link on either side. Everyone was exhausted. It was unbelievable how the game turned out. Kai was expecting at least one person to get a goal, but it never happened. The two captains stayed on the field and stared at each other from a distance. Neither of them was even the least bit tired after that intense game. There was an obvious tension between them.

Kai: “They’re like demons…”

After about a minute of staring, the two left the field in unison. The class ended without Umi even acknowledging Kai at all. It felt like she didn’t really like him. Back in the changing room some of the other guys commented on Kai’s performance. He was the new kid to them, so they were unsure about how he would do, but he didn’t fall behind at all.

After P.E. was history, his last class for the day. The room was near his homeroom in room 10-G, which was across the hall from 10-H. There was nobody he recognized in the class. He took a seat and the class proceeded the same way as the others. He was introduced, and then the rest of the class left him alone afterwards. The final bell rang and the day ended. Kai felt extremely tired. It might have been because of the intense workout before history. He decided to go home and get some rest, since he had nothing else to do. He packed up all his books and slung his bag over his shoulder. He passed through the grade 10 and grade 9 hallways before leaving the school. There was a cool breeze, which felt amazing. There were already a large mass of students outside. It was his first time seeing this many students outside a school in his entire life. Back at his previous school, there were less than half as many students as there were here. Kai left the school area and began walking home. His house wasn’t far from the school. It was only a 15 minute walking distance away. As he got further away from the school, the streets became a lot less crowded. Rather than a large number of students walking and talking on their way home, there were only about one or two people outside where he was. After a while, there was a sudden loud crash in the distance. A trail of black smoke rose up past a few buildings. It gradually darkened until it was black.

Kai: “What’s that?”

He ran over to check it out. When he got there, he was shocked. There was a crushed up minivan sticking out the side of a small one-story house. He scanned the street.

Kai: “Doesn't anybody notice this?!”

There was a heavy black smoke rising from the wreck. It was probably not too safe for him to just approach it carelessly. Instead he took out his cell phone and tried to quickly make an emergency call, but the second he laid eyes on his phone, something whizzed past his neck and pierced through the screen. He looked at the gaping hole in the middle of his phone.

Kai: “What just… happened? Was that a bullet?”

???: “Oh… Where did you come from?”

He heard a bone chilling, adolescent female voice coming from behind him. He turned around, but there was nobody there.

???: “Boo!”

The voice was coming from directly next to his ear. He turned and nearly jumped when he saw a young girl right in front of him. She was wearing a uniform. She was probably in middle school because the only high school in Juthidd that had a uniform was his previous school. Her gaze quickly shifted away from him. In an instant, she flew up into the air just as a blazing hot stream of fire shot past Kai. He froze in place as an intense blast of hot air hit his face.

Kai: “What the hell was that?!”

He felt like he was in danger. He tried to run away, but the girl from before floated down in front of him. Her long, pale blond hair followed her down in a featherlike manner.

Blonde Girl: “I can’t let you leave.”

Kai felt a strong wind collect near him. Hundreds of feathers appeared out of nowhere and gathered around the girl’s arm. The feathers swirled around until nearly forming the shape of a lance. It was almost like a magic trick. This situation looked bad. Kai didn’t know what was going on. The girl stared at him with a pair of insidious, blue eyes. He wanted to run the other way, but his legs wouldn’t move.

???: “Kai!”

A girl’s voice called him from above. He looked up into the sky and saw the silhouette of what looked sort of like a giant crimson bird. He suddenly felt a piercing pain in his gut as he was stabbed by the girl in front of him. It was unlike any pain he had ever felt in his life. It was a lot more terrifying than it was painful. It was almost like the pain was too great that his body gradually went numb from it. In the back of his mind, he knew this was the feeling of death.

Kai: “This can’t be happening… right…?”

The lance that she used pierced straight through Kai’s body. It was completely covered in his blood. She threw his limp body aside like a used toy. Someone dropped down in front of the blonde girl.

Blonde Girl: “Oh. Look what I found…”

His vision was getting blurry. It was hard to make out anything. The last thing he saw was a heavy red aura before he blacked out.

When Kai woke up, he was in a dark room. He was a little confused at first, but his memory quickly started coming back to him.

Kai: “Where am I…?”

It was too dark to see anything too clearly. I could feel a strong pain near his abdominal area. He felt around it with his hands, but his body was perfectly fine.

Kai: “Didn’t I get stabbed?”

He couldn't help but feel that he was actually stabbed, but there wasn't a scratch on his body. He looked around. There were large curtains covering a window, making the room nearly pitch black. He pushed part of the curtains aside. It looked like it was just late in the evening. There was still a dim glow of sunlight. He used the light from outside to get a look around the room. He found a lamp next to the bed and turned it on. The light momentarily blinded him. When his vision cleared he took a good look around the room. He was able to tell that this was obviously not his room or any room he had been in his entire life, but that was all. He saw a light being turned on from under a door across the room from him. A shadow appeared in front of it. The door quietly opened and a pair of crimson red eyes peeked inside.

Kai: “Clara?”

The door opened all the way and confirmed it for him. At first, she looked sad, then surprised, then relieved, and then sad again.

Kai: “What are you doing here?”

Clara: “This is where I live.”

Kai paused for a moment as he saw something moving behind Clara. The dark blue hair was an instant giveaway.

Umi: “You!”

In a split second, Umi ran past Clara and pinned Kai onto the bed. Her hands were loosely gripped around his neck.

Clara: “Umi!”

Umi: “Why are you here?!”

Kai didn’t have an answer to her question.

Kai: “I’d like to know.”

Clara: “Umi. It’s okay.”

She unwillingly released him.

Clara: “I was the one that brought him here.”

Umi: “Why? What did he do??”

Clara: “…He died because of me. I saw him… but I wasn’t fast enough.”

Kai was a little surprised. He was still quite clueless as to what she meant.

Clara: “I think I should tell him.”

Umi didn’t seem to agree with her about something, but she followed along obediently.

Umi: “If you have to… then go ahead… but please Clara. You can’t keep doing this.”

Kai: “Is anyone going to explain this to me yet? Didn’t I die? Why am I here?”

Clara: “Kai…”

Her eyes glowed bright red. The room temperature began to rise as she was engulfed in a deep red aura. Something about this triggered something in Kai’s memories.

Clara: “Do you believe in mythology?”

Now I shall go back to "sleep" since I feel so dead right now. xD

SILVER WISHES

Prologue

Tired. Still running. Iren never felt so excited in his life. The feeling of tension, adrenaline and, Fear..

He put his hand on his quiver, getting ready for a shot. He snuck 2 arrows on his bow and blindly fired behind. Sliding his bow down his waist, he continued running.

It was either a loud howl or his deep breaths. The sound of it gave a chill down his spine. Iren knew that the Hounds would want nothing but his blood.

He repeated the same actions as many times as he could count. In the dark, he couldn't see the Hounds.

Dashing past the trees, Iren found a clearing. His escape route. He couldn't care less. All he wanted was to escape. Taking a deep breath, he jumped past the gates and into Minarje's Temple.

He knew that the Hounds will not chase him in there. Putting a hand on his silver necklace. He prayed for the safety of himself.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER ONE
The warm welcome from the temple entrance was not helping with her mood. Mia really hated the fact that a novice cleric had to learn about wars that happened 500 years ago, she rather go off to healing duties instead.
"Lady Milliore!"
Mia was startled by the sudden shout. She turned quickly to face her caller. It was another priest. This time he was a young blond, around the age of 20.
"Lady, you're class is starting soon. Please head to the history section now", he said in in a rushing tone and ran of as if he had lots of work to do.
I'd better not be late or mom will kill me. She thought to herself before running off to the history section in the temple. History classes should be over in last terms training, what could be held in today's class? The history section of the temple is like a library of ancient books written by priests whose names are not even remembered. Small open lecture grounds are spread across the large garden in the middle of the section. It's the only part of the history section which she likes.
The redolence of the plants calm her senses and made her feel at ease. Well, until she reached the lecture ground.
"MIA MILLIORE!!!! You're late, AGAIN."
Another reason why Mia didn't want to go to class. "I'm sorry Priestess Milliore, I wont be late again." She said it lowering her head so that she doesn't see her mothers angry face.
"Today's class is about the number of underground groups working under the kingdom of Faralea." said the priestess. Mia raised up her hand, "Why are we learning about politics in history lesson?" she asked in a polite tone.
"The answer will come to you at the end of the class." Mia shrugged. Like her mother, she hated waiting far more than anyone. The class quieted down as the priestess spoke.
"Lets start with a question. How many underground organizations does the kingdom of Faralea have?" "Five" Ortin, the class genius answered. "Can you name then to me?" the priestess asked again. "The Priests, us, the doctors and healers of the kingdom. The Riders, the roaming knights of Faralea. The Guards, sworn protectors of the throne. The 6 spears, generals of the kingdoms armies. And the Sages, the knowledge and wisdom of the kingdom."
"Well done Ortin, like always." Ortin gave a humble smile. "But there is one group that you missed. I didn't expect anyone to know about this group in the first place." Everyone looked at the priestess in a blur expression.
"The final group, is the Hounds"
@ Snow- Welcome to the club! I'll read/comment on your story at a later date. XD
@ All- I'll post one of my newer ideas up here... Eventually. >.>
Oh bless my feathers (wait what?)... How long has it been since I last posted in here? I completely forgot I was actually part of this group (I'm so sorry! You should brick me.) So anyway... this is a really short story that involves streaking. (No I'm serious.)By the way, this happened a really long time ago so the exact details are kinda inaccurate. Sorry! (@zero - Hi zero - didn't know you were into writing. But it's all good! Don't have time to read your story though, sorry. By the way, you're slightly involved in this chapter, very very small part, I hope you don't mind.)
The Chronicles of the Gendou REBORN! Clan - Chapter 3 - Come And Join Us!
So hello. Please read. And comment.
Genres: Stupidness, randomness and nakedness
Characters: Worm, Nurse, Tsuna(me), Jeo and Zero (I'm sorry zero)
One fine and sunny day, Tsuna was sitting quietly in Gendou Chat when the topic of naked streaking was brought up.
"WE SHOULD TOTALLY GO STREAKING!" Worm exclaimed, pumping his fist up in the air and looking dramatically at Nurse and Tsuna.
"What?" Tsuna smiled, because she was distracted by a youtube video she was watching.
"I said, we should go streaking." Worm repeated, raping Nurse with his eyes. "And also I wanna see Nurse nekid."
Tsuna blinked, pausing the video. "But why?"
"Because." Worm replied. "Just because."
Nurse glared at Worm, angrily saying "I'm not going to streak with you, Worm." so saying, she pulled back her fist and connected it with Worm's face.
"Your punching arm must be really developed by now, Nurse." Tsuna commented, as she had seen Nurse punch Worm at least 1248753806789378207523947 times.
"I know, Tsuna. It's scary. The muscles are so huge O_O" Nurse looked sadly at her muscle-bulging arm.
"ANYWAY, WE SHOULD GO STREAKING AND NURSE, YOU WILL GO STREAKING WITH ME BECAUSE YOU BELONG TO ME." Worm casually took out a cigarette and used the /smoke emote.
"ALRIGHT THEN, LET'S GO STREAKING!" Tsuna said enthusiastically, beginning to take off her clothes.
"YES, JOIN US, TSUNA!" Jeo shouted, having magically appeared out of nowhere.
"I'm just going to just sit back and watch O-o..." Nurse muttered, finding a lonely tree-stump and sitting down on it.
As they started taking off their clothes with enthusiasm, Zero suddenly logged in.
"COME AND JOIN US, ZERO!" Tsuna shouted, starting to take off her shirt.
Zero stared at them, accessed the situation and then said "No thanks." and went AFK.
There was an awkward silence which was finally broke by Nurse. "So, are you guys still going streaking?"
That was really short, I know. I'm sorry T_T. But I just don't have much material at the moment but I really wanted to post something. And yeah, that wasn't as funny as the previous chapters. ): Gomenosai. Feel free to brick me. Also, is it possible to have one on-going story, and then write a new one (just a short one-shot), but after that you continue the old story?
@snow: I'd like to see more of that eventually. =3
@Toyumi: Thanks. I'm trying to find time to post it up, but because of work I barely get time to do much my own things right now. =/
@Tsuna: Yeah. There's really nothing wrong with that IMO. xD
@ Komaro - It's the same with me, I hardly get any time to work on my own things because of school. >.>
Although, hopefully that will change once I get my big exams over with in early May.
@ Snow- Just read your story, it seems interesting and I'd also like to see some more of it.
@ Emiya- Welcome, I hope to see some of your stories soon!
Well, it's been awhile since I've posted some writing here. >.>
Well, here's something I was working on a few days ago because I was in a crummy mood. It's not much, and I'm not sure if I'll continue it or not, but it's something. Feel free to comment on it, etc.
Also, this isn't the other project that I said I was working on awhile back. That one is still a work in progress, although unlike this one I'm going to finish it before I post it here.
Those Who Yearned to Fly
The lights. They blinded her. They pierced her soul as she defied gravity, flying freely with no intention of stopping. That is, unless gravity had a say in the matter, of which it did. That singular moment of being freed from anything and everything constraining her faded in an instant. She did not fly now, she fell. She fell down, down, down, the light in the sky being the only witness to this unfolding tragedy.
Seconds passed, with the weight of the world bearing down on her, until there was nothing. No more, no less; that girl was now free once more. Or had she fallen into yet another trap set up by cruel Madame Reality?
This is what ended it all, and that is only the beginning.
***
"Ah, Erin?" The girl asked nonchalantly, looking down upon another man in the cold, bland, gray room with no modern day comforts save for two rough office chairs and a meager desk. The man, in response, rose from his seat, towering over the girl as he slammed his fists onto the desk.
"Dammit!" the man said, "Miss Fisher, don’t you understand what’s going on here? A perfectly fine girl killed herself for no reason! We’re looking for more than just simple responses like those you’re giving us!"
The girl snickered at the man’s futile attempt to provoke some sort of reaction from her.
"A 'perfectly fine girl?'" Miss Fisher said, mimicking the man, "Erin was anything but fine, in my opinion. Heck, in anyone’s opinion, if you knew her."
"But, didn’t you know her…?" The man asked.
"Detective, I don’t know how you got it into your head that I was friends with that weirdo. I wouldn’t go near her for the life of me. She’s a freak."
"But, her parents said that they heard of her talk highly of you oft-"
"My my, I’m surprised to hear this,” Miss Fisher interrupted, “However, that might just be because I’m the talk of the school. You know, Homecoming Queen, cheerleader, your typical girl-next-door. I mean, look at me."
The detective did have to admit that it was true. With blonde hair, blue eyes, and quite the lovely figure, she did look the part. Although, her personality didn’t fit the ‘girl-next-door’ image, not at all.
"I see what you’re getting at," the detective said, "Well, I suppose that I’ve taken up enough of your time, Miss Fisher. Before I go, would you have any ideas on a possible lead for this case? Anything at all is appreciated."
"I don’t associate with her kind," Miss Fisher said as she stood up, "The only thing I’ve ever heard her being praised for was her art."
"Thank you for your time," the detective said, and with that he excused Miss Fisher.
I've been swamped between working and then spending freetime on my writing, but I
plan to go through all the writings here hopefully before the weekend. A lot have
been posted, FFFFF.
BUT, I wanted to let everyone know that my light novel series has started and
volume one released just a few days ago!
ANACHRONUS — "A Tale of Time"
Once there, you can check out the main blog post with the link to the first volume,
or you may goto the page labeled "Read It!" and get the link there! The Read It
page will be where all volume links are posted, and the hosting site for the volumes
is just webs.com for now. Depending on how the first few volumes go, I may get
my own site and host everything there. We'll have to see..
I hope you guys enjoy the first volume! Keep in mind as well that the series is
going to get better with each volume, and even as I type this Volume Two is already
