Umm...I know it's been mentioned that manually removing the vocals is allowed, but do we lose points for doing so? |

Archie Blaye: If I can only hear your voice, and not the original singer, then I don't see the problem. I really doubt points will be taken away if I can only hear your voice loud and clear. Just make sure the background music sounds decent and not all muffled. |

Season 6 Round 1 will begin accepting contestants on December 20th, 2010. Judging and open voting doesn't happen until later. I edited the title of this thread to be more clear.

@ Bluey: actually... a lot of fans of singers famous from elsewhere (youtube, etc) used to flood the polls for their favorite singer. Frankly, I was disappointed that sometimes there were better singers that almost got completely ignored because of the 'famous' singers. So if you don't have a lot of fans following you somewhere, then you can only hope to get into the next round by blowing the judges out of the water with a super-awesome entry.  |

Okay, thanks. I got one which has a few of almost unheard static sounds, which should be even less audible when I input the voice. Got my backup plan now xD. |

@Hitomi That's what I'm scared of in this competition. It becomes more a competition of who has more supporters rather than who has a better voice. I really hope it doesn't come down to that. |

Yuri-chan: Your question about the percentage, it depends on the judges score & the users votes. They will rank you though. like Gendou mentioned in FAQ/Help section, it calculates like this: "rank = (total-judge-score / 20) + (total-votes / maximum-votes)" & according to the Terms of use, it's a talent contest not a popularity contest so I don't think you can promote yourself to others in Gendou Idol. ^^;; Ibmo: There is no theme so you can sing any song you like whether it's anime, Jpop or English, whichever suits your voice~~!! ^^

Hello! I would really wanna join, but I know nothing close to good recording programs or mics. Can anyone here give any good suggestions on downloading any programs that capture voice and a playing karaoke MP3 well and nice together, and recommend a good microphone? Just simply singing to my laptop and playing MP3 from it isn't going to cut it, I guess. I don't mind paying for good audio programs, of course. Sankyuu! |

DX now im nervous..the song im singing isnt really well known and i cant remove the noise in my recording.. hopefully it's not really obvious(but it still is) @hitomi wow that would really be unfair for those who uploaded through 4shared or other sites then D: and i realized most users would only listen to song files with either the most votes or the highest points since there's like a hundred of recordings. im sure no users would go through everything except for the judges.(or maybe a few users did) |
