Cuz their clothes really piss me off. @Kel: Same here, i saw those not a long time ago. My favorites are the ones about Shiki trying to kill Hisui's hamburger and Curry Test with Ciel(Time for the true master!). Oh, Nero running the pet shop was nice too :) And finally, there's no way i'd be against Len in a maid outfit... moreover, if she's mopping Akiha's dirty face :D By the way, i kinda noticed that Type-moon just loves double versions of one character. So i've been trying to remember as much as possible. Brainwash Detective? btw, Yes It's official that Altrouge has three forms.. her child form, Young adult form and Adult form (I Think it's like around 6 years old, 16 years old then 25 something years old or something like that I Forgot) Correct me if Im wrong though XP Gotta love Young Gil XDD He's a cute one... and oh, Dont forget TRUE ASSASIN!! As for Gil, well, i'm also expecting it... to say the truth - i'm more interested in that part about Kaleido Ruby(forgot how it's called) more than in Heaven's Feel(which's already out if i'm correct). By the way, do i understand correctly, that it'd have similar system to kagetsu tohya(Repeat Again)? :) |

@Eria: As for now, after finishing Tsukihime i recommend Kagetsu Tohya. I liked it more than the first part, because of the interesting system(repeat again)... and Len. Watching Kara no Kyoukai now... just finished second movie. Damn, if i get careless - i often forget who's Shiki of those two... cuz that Kokuto guy's a Tohno Shiki's clone! Looks the same, has similar personality, even the same seiyu as Shiki from ovas. The only difference is the lack of mystic eyes and "boku" instead of "ore". Oh, i laughed like crazy, when i was watching second movie... or actually at a part, when they got themselves plush toys of Len and White Len :D And i guess that's another character added to that split-personalities list of mine from above: Male and Female Ryougi Shiki :) |

@ Kelrei-san Sorry to burst your bubble but 428 isn't made by Typemoon. It's just one of Nasu-san's & Takeuchi-san's side projects away from Typemoon. Although both of them are a part of it, it isn't related to any titles from Typemoon. The game was just released like yesterday. The game was made by Chunsoft & published by Sega. Nasu-san & Takeuchi san only are credited with the character designs & story. It's interesting that a game just released is already having an anime version. I did read that Famitsu gave it a perfect score due to the superior storyline, what do you expect from Nasu-san! From what i can read from the story it takes place in modern Shibuya where strange things are happening around the city, you (the player) are the only one who can solve it. Along with 5 other characters you have to gather clues but they only have 10 hours to solve the mystery or all will be lost. My guess it is some sort of outbreak by a virus that is causing everything & you have to find out how. Judging by the Shibuya 60 days, it looks like it is just a making of disc that was packaged with the game release.  |

Well, true, the picture does remind me of Kara no Kyoukai movies by its drawing style. Anyway, i was surprised this club was still active :D Anyway, i just found something amusing and decided to post it :) I'd say it is FSN related in a way :D |

I'm currently stuck with the RP cast so it's... Question time! Q: Are there any characters in typemoon works that have a badass meta-knight personality? Gilgamesh is one but he's kinda arrogant. I'm looking for a character that is more "Char Aznable" or "Shuu Shirakawa"-ish, those kinda villainous badass that is very powerful but is not evil in a way

Dunno, can't think of one. After all, you just named two characters from the mecha/war anime, so no way there'd be such characters in Type-moon, who specialize in something like street murders and secret combat. Well... maybe Fate/Zero had some, i never played it. I doubt about Berserker/Zero, although he IS a badass knight :D Maybe someone like Rider had one. And come to think of it, how come you don't consider Archer as one? If i'm correct, you're talking about someone, who randomly sides with random sides and follows his own "justice". |

Oh yeah, i completely forgot about Lancer :) Assassin acts like a knight too, but he's not exactly a badass. Actually same goes to Lancer, he's only on the enemy side - that's all. I've been thinking if there's any in Kara no Kyoukai, but i only watched the movies, so i can't know for sure yet, as only three are out... As for Tsukihime... hmm... Nanaya... well, doubt it, he's more just a simple badass than a badass knight... Maybe Kishima Kouma, but there's to low amount of him in the games... Ciel... well, that curry is out of question. Maybe Sion can be considered similar to Shu... or probably more to Masaki, but you can't compare Tatari to Shu :D As i said, first of all, the style is way to different, so there's no way someone like that would appear :D Such a character exists only in open wars, but there is no place for them in hidden battles :) |

talking about someone, who randomly sides with random sides and follows his own "justice". that's right mog, with an addition of a cold/nihilistic personality, charismatic if possible (teh leader kind), and an overwhelming combat capability... a typical "Char Aznable" archetype Yea, the specialty is kinda different but I can tweak them later, it's my RP after all xD so it's Archer huh..? *takes note, googles, tweaks database* nuuuu sanzo, me ish not looking for chivalrous characters, have plenty of them already, the gar level is already very high xD

@ H-san The suggestions made about Iskander & to a lesser degree Berserker (both versions) are good examples of bad-@$$ characters that are super powerful but not truly evil. Another could be Assassin (fake version)...though just like Iskander he is also chivalrous. So i would choose both versions of Berserker. Most characters in Fate (with a few exceptions) aren't truly evil...it's a competition to who will claim the Grail. To do so may sometimes mean "by anymeans possible". For example in Fate/Zero Kiritsugu is the main character in the story so therefore is supposed to be the good guy. However some of the things he does in the story can be described as brutal & not something a good guy would do. *428 Anyways expanding on the 428 animation. A short trailer was released that was included in that Shibuya 60 days DVD. The anime series is like i said a collaboration between Chun Soft (makers of the game) & Typemoon (Nasu-san & Takeuchi-san) & therefore not an actual Typemoon product. Think of it like Fate/Zero which is a collaboration with Nitro+. Details of the anime remains sketchy at most but i assume it will follow the game closely cause it is the story that is the strength of the game. Here is the short trailer. Animation quality looks to be on par with Kara no Kyoukai (more on that later) so i wonder if UFO table will handle the animation or will it be Studio Deen. *Kara no Kyoukai With the release of the 4th movie in a few days i might as well post the newest trailer that was released a few weeks ago. Everyone has probably seen the 5th trailer already that will show Araya. The 6th movie will mainly focus on Azaka (Akiha's twin :D) & her feelings for Mikiya. Of course some supernatural events will occur involving the long haired vixen shown in the trailer. After this will FINALLY be Lio's time to shine!!! Remember the events of the 2nd movie? All of that will become clear in the 7th movie which i think is the best of them all since it is truly amazing!! This will probably be the most action packed of the films as we will see Shiki & Lio's showdown. As most of you should know Shiki has a rule she follows that is very similar to Batman (DVD is awesome btw) so the outcome of the 7th movie is very interesting. Kara no Kyoukai ~Oblivion Recorder~ trailer *Tsukihime 2 Some of you may have already seen & read this but for those who have not. The Moonlit World has posted the english translation of the Tsukihime 2 Prelude that was released in the summer of 2006 at Comic Market. Well, it may be different, i don't remember it too good. :) As for Tsukihime 2... By prelude, you mean something like only a small part of it/prologue or demo version? |

@ Moggle-san If you are talking about the Kara trailer...no this trailer is from the 6th movie, which hasn't been released on DVD yet. I think it may still be in theatres but i may be wrong on that. The 4th movie which i think you are remembering is the one that will be out in a couple of days that shows Shiki after she wakes up from her coma (where she loses one of her personalities) & her trying to cope with that loss. One of the more story driven chapters of the novel so not alot of action in this one. It's pretty good (from reading the novel) & it sets up the series from here on in. In the Kara timeline this is supposed to happen 2nd. If that makes any sense. As for Tsukihime 2 Prelude. A prelude is a part of a story that sets up everything that happens later. It sets the tone & the mood of what you are about to read. So yeah you can consider it a prologue or introduction to it. Unsure if the folks over at Typemoon will expand on this (since this is like 2 years old now)...knowing the way Nasu-san works it may or may not come to fruition. Also on the site is a fanfic that the webmaster has wrote, it's not that bad as well. Some of the things he/she wrote in the fanfic fit the story of Tsukihime pretty well. Though not as crazy or 'out there' that Nasu-san writes his stories it's a pretty good attempt. |

Well... probably it's no news already, but Kara no Kyoukai 4 is out. Already saw it, now begins the long waiting of Kara no Kyoukai 5 :) Oh, and i had one question bothering me, as i watch it and as i play FSN. If in order to obtain Mystic Eyes of Death Perception one needs to go through a near-death experience and as a result understand death. How come Emiya Shirou never obtained those eyes? For example Saber's route: Barely saved by Excalibur's sheath by Kiritsugu(and seeing loads of death around), regenerating from Berserker's blow... umm i think twice. Well, there were more, but i can't remember them all. Or is the help from magic unallowed(cuz he uses sheath)... but in that case how about Akiha saving Shiki? Or is he supposed to be some kind of special being from some important family(Nanaya, Ryuogi)... but i doubt this one too. Or there's some kind of rule as one skill per person(Cuz he has UBW he can't have Eyes). Oh, and another opinion of mine: Satsuki could win Grail war all by herself with ease(As she has a magic-eliminating skill. Use it and Servant loses energy, required for its existence. The only trouble would be with Kuzuki Souichiro, but her vampire powers are probably enough to beat a human). Well... Arcueid+Shiki pair could probably win as well with ease... except for maybe some troubles with Gil, but i think he's no match for Shinso :D |

@ Moggle-san For what i know & read in those many supplement & artbooks of Typemoon series. Although there may be some error in translation but this is what i can come up with. Mystic Eyes can be used by anyone although it is very VERY rare that one can be able to obtain it. There may be some special thing one must do or have to be able to use it but it is explained vaguely in these supplements i have. Both Shiki's come from a long line of 'gifted families' one has 2 personalities while the other is part of a line of 'hunters'. These traits may be a possibility in obtaining the eyes. Or the near-death experience that leaves the mind 'unsure' of what is what. Remember both Shiki's recieved some sort of brain/head trauma from their accident. Although Emiya has experienced near death events it is cause of his command code & Saber's ability that it isn't really 'death'. He's able to regenerate after these events. Also he never had any head trauma or brain damage after these events. As you know these Eyes are very taxing on a persons mind. The brain isn't supposed to be able to see death. Without proper training & skill one will eventually succumb to these traumatic events. Kara Shiki recieved training from Touko to be able to control the power, Tsuki Shiki must use the glasses provided by Aoko to withstand the power. There is a rumor that these glasses were originally's Kara Shiki's when being trained & that Aoko stole them from Touko. Your theory is conceivable since Emiya has some training in magus by his 'father' that he is unable to obtain another power. Or it may be the fact that Emiya is not very skilled. Unlike the Shiki's Emiya is basically a normal guy, not part of a long lineage. In a sense Emiya's tracing ability is sort of like the Shiki's eyes though not as powerful. Emiya can see things but instead of being able to destroy the item he can re-create it. So in a way it is the opposite of the Shiki's powers. Again i be missing some things about how to obatin the Eyes & there may be an even more descriptive book out there that explains the reason & how to of the eyes. So one can come up with their own theory on how to obtain this power. ************************** Anyways like Moggle-san i too have seen Kara 4. I already posted my thoughts on the thread about it. What i can repeat on this thread is just like the book it is that slowly paced. However alot of information about Shiki, the Eyes, how Shiki is able to control the power & the scenes after the credits show how the events of the previous films & future films began. Touko is soo cool in the film cause her role is expanded from previous ones & she shows abit of her power. The 5th film isn't as long as you would expect...it'll be out near the end of January. Alot shorter than the 4-5 months between 3 & 4. |
