I'm curious... can you show me what these names look like:
  • DANGEL
  • Kusanagi Denjiru/Denjiru
  • Devils-Angel
  • DA

I don't know if they'll work out since they're mindless names, but whatever. ^_^
Also, what program do you use to get the symbols from Kanji, Katakana, and Hiragana?

@Isis
ファング (fangu)
ワニタ (wanita)
ラーキ (ra-ki)
アイシス (aishisu)

@devils-angel
デインジェル (deinjeru)
くさなぎデインジェル (kanji on kusanagi can vary, and I'm too lazy to look various ones up at the moment) Also, by denjiru I assume you mean a romanized form of Dangel, which would be deinjeru. (long a sound and je rather than ji as in angels "ge" sound.
デヴィルス•エインジェル (devirusu-einjeru)
デイ•エイ (di-ei, as in "D-A")

Kana etc. that I use are built into my computer (OS 10.4)

@Nerdtress
ウィトニ (witoni)

I know Juanita is a spanish name, and I'm aware of the pronunciation.

フアニタ seems a bit odd to me. But perhaps that's right.

(just to let you know, the blending of hua when made into one mora turns into wa).

I've always heard the name like it would be 3 mora, rather than 4.

@JT

ジェニクア•トラナ•マスリー•プラット•ゴーダン
(jenikua torana maruri- puratto go-dan)
though depends on pronuncaitions, that would be my best guess

@silkdreamer

Japanese's らりるれろ (ra ri ru re ro) do not make the same sound as either an english l or r. They are typically romanized into r, since the sound is somewaht similar, but it isn't the same. I could tell you the physical difference in the pronunciation (if I remembered the termonology) but that probably wouldn't help much.

Listen to some Japanese and note how they say those characters, there's a slight difference from english pronunciations.

バーニス (ba-nisu)

@Issac:
It's Mosley, not Morley.

So: ジェンニクア・トラナ・モウスリー・プラット・ゴードン (jennikua torano mousurii puratto goodon). Or the other way to pronounce it is ゴードゥ (goodun).

But for Bernice, sometimes I think in some words like Bernard, Albert, the "e"s don't change to "ア" sound and the "r"s don't change to "ー".

So: ベルニス(berunisu) or ブルニス(burunisu).

Oh yes, for Juanita, maybe in the katakana table from Wikipedia, ti is: ティ, and tu is: トゥ, maybe hu is: ヒゥ.

ヒゥアニタ: Juanita /huanita/

I have never seen that combination before, I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. They already have フ anyways.
Remember, the english have sounds for Ti, and tu. The Japanese only have ち and つ. Hence why they make ti and tu sounds with ティ, and トゥ.

I said Mosley. マスリ is one way it could be pronunounced, as is モスリ and モウスリ. Without hearing it I assumed マスリ.

As for bernice. Honestly, It really depends on preference. Either can be used. Remember that in the end, Katakana traslations are only approximations of sounds. When it comes down to certain things, you can use different combinations of kana to make approximations.

im pretty sure that when you translate an english name to Japanese you write it in Katakana...not Hirgana so for all of you people who are getting their names translated...never write it in Hiragana...it'll make you look stupid xD just saying...
