[Nearing Mansion] Vincent chuckled slightly before speaking. "Protecting you, yes, but I'm pretty sure Vivian's protection is very much in control." He looked ahead to Fenris and Vivian who were heading off together. He spoke in a slightly lower tone to Aeon and Anke. "I'm not sure about you, but I certainly sense that something major went on between those two. They seem to have become rather inseparable since we were last together as a group." While Vincent spoke, he focused his mind on the surroundings. He couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. Was that trio of attackers trailing after them, or did they have some new threat to worry about? He wasn't sure if the others noticed anything, it was possible it was just his imagination or the adrenaline making him jumpy, either way it was better that he didn't say anything to keep everyone from looking around and over reacting.

"I'm glad that we're getting close, I think your wounds are making you tense...er"

[Forest] [In Tall Tree] “Looks like they have sensed our presence.” said Kota. “No,” replied Talisman. “It’s the forest. There’s always somethin’ going on that makes people worry. Only one seems to be so tense right now, he may be alert of us right now but that’s very slim, the boy leaning on the girl.” He pointed. Talisman squatted down on the tree branch still using the very faint spell he had casted earlier to keep watch on the group. Talisman kept track of everything they said to see if he may be able to use anything. “They’re headed for stormcaller.” Kota added. “We should move a…” “No.” interrupted Talisman. “We have our orders. Let them go where they please. As you said they’re headed for stormcaller.” -"Oh certainly,” He heard Anke. "They're so cute though! I happy Vivian found someone and they complete each other perfectly, when they are both weak they are able to hold each other up! They're each other's match!"- Talisman made a smirk. –Perfect- He thought. “Looks like there’s something going on within the group” said Talisman going to stand. “We could use this to…” An ounce of pain had just surged through Talisman’s arms as he let out a sign of pain and fell bent over his knees. Kota looked at Talismans arms and saw Spiral markings faintly reviling through his gloves and bandages. “Talisman!” said Kota. “What’s…?” “It’s nothing to worry about right now.” said Talisman hiding his pain. “Heh. I lost focus and the spell backfired.” Kota could tell Talisman was lying; he had to let whatever just happened, go. “Anyways” said Talisman forcing himself to stand. “We now have a window.” Talisman reached into his satchel and pulled out paper charms, handing them to Kota. “Head to Faustus house, that’s most likely where the real Faustus girl is, and trap her there” ordered Talisman. “These charms are undetectable an’ very powerful and require no magic; she won’t be able to find it the slightest chance easy to escape. Use no magic. Don’t show yourself to anyone.” “Yes” answered Kota. “And what of you, Talis?” “Me?” replied Talisman. “I’ll keep an eye on them in my animal form. Should anything go wrong I will use the talismans we set up to…” Talisman paused as he felt someone nearing his position. –Looks like we have unwanted pests. - He though. Two guards from stromcaller had spotted Talisman. Talisman pulled his hood over his head and hid the military crest on his cape. “Hey you!” one of them yelled. “State your business here!” -Dear me- thought Talisman. –How rude.- Talisman and Kota jumped down from the tree to the snow covered ground. Talisman carried his sword in its case behind his shoulder. “Stormcaller Guards” Kota whispered to his partner. “Sir he’s armed with a sword.” said the younger guard. “Lay down your weapons!” they ordered. ”Or you will die here!” “My sword doesn’t leave my side.” answered Talisman. The older guard had drawn his sword and ran to cut Talisman. Talisman acted as about to draw his sword when the guards came cutting through his upper arm to waist. The guard thought he had hit when his target slowly disappeared before him, leaving him speechless. “Stand read… (Gack)” Talisman had moved behind the guard as he turned around, grabbing his neck with his right hand and taking his sword away, lifting him off his feet by the neck, as Kota had pinned down the other guard, growling over him. “H-how!? There was no trace of magic! How is that possible!?” “My technique doesn’t require any magic at all.” Answered Talisman tightening his hand. The guard struggled to free himself from Talismans grip. Talisman tightened his hand to his fullest, breaking the guard’s neck and spilling his blood as he pinned his body to a tree with the guard’s sword. Talisman then turned to the younger guard and placed his hand on his forehead. “P-please don’t kill me” the guard pleaded. “Don’t worry.” assured Talisman. “I’m going to erase any an’ all of me and my partner. It will be painful.” Kota moved off the guard and sat to the side. The guard heard Talisman mutter something, then suddenly felt extreme pain rush through his body. The guard let out a loud cry of pain that could be heard throughout the forest scaring away nearby birds. The guard’s eyes turn empty and went out cold. “Ok, Talis,” said Kota. “Let get moving someone’s bound to come by to see what happened.” “Right,” answered Talisman standing up. “Operation Start!” Kota and Talisman split off into the forest leaving no trace they were there.

[Nearing Mansion] He could tell they were being followed by someone now, with a disturbance in the forest in the distance confirming his suspicion. Now wasn't the time to concern himself with it however, if whomever it was had not yet attacked then they had no plan to for the moment. Right now, there was a somewhat more pressing matter to attend to. He turned his attention to Anke. "That's rather surprising, considering that you were the first one to cast a shadow of suspicion over me a few days ago." He took his weight off of her for a moment and continued on under his own power. "But please, as I told you before, try not to place too much faith in me. There's a. . difficult situation I may have to handle in the future and I do not wish to bring you in to it." He looked to her and smiled. "Plus, my survival ability has certainly been proven to be questionable after that little scuffle."

ANKE l Nearing Mansion "I wanted to die," he said suddenly, his voice hard as stone. "It was just after I discovered my power, only a few years ago. My family is famous here, I'm sure you know that. Tachibana... that name means that any defect — physical or mental — needs to be hidden from the world. To have a defected child is to attach a stigma to the name for eternity. My parents... they didn't know what to do with me, so I enrolled myself here." Vincent said, Anke felt him take his weight off her shoulder as he continued to walk down the path on his own volition. "But please, as I told you before, try not to place too much faith in me. There's a. . difficult situation I may have to handle in the future and I do not wish to bring you in to it," Vincent smiled at Anke, "Plus, my survival ability has certainly been proven to be questionable after that little scuffle." "So are you saying I should be suspicious of you?" Anke asked with a little humor in her voice, "you should know by now that the ruff judging, cautious person you first met, was just a mask, right? I may be calculating and thoughtful, at best, but I've told you before I am awfully quick to trust." She continued walking, just listening to the trees of the forest ruffle in the breeze. As she listened she got wind (no pun intended) of a presence among the old pines. "Could you perhaps be apprehensive about the two strange appearances in the woods?" She asked Vincent in a low whisper, "I get a terrible feeling that what ever it may be, knows who I am, despite my guise..."

Aeon Aeon had grown up in forests, as most of his time spent in isolation was also spent in a forest. So he knew when the animals of the forest became uneasy that there was something amiss. He turned his attention away from the mansion and glanced around the group and saw that Vincent and Anke also looked uneasy. He walked up beside them to overhear a part of their conversation. "But please, as I told you before, try not to place too much faith in me. There's a. . difficult situation I may have to handle in the future and I do not wish to bring you in to it," Vincent smiled at Anke, "Plus, my survival ability has certainly been proven to be questionable after that little scuffle." "So are you saying I should be suspicious of you?" Anke asked with a little humor in her voice, "you should know by now that the ruff judging, cautious person you first met, was just a mask, right? I may be calculating and thoughtful, at best, but I've told you before I am awfully quick to trust." Anke paused for a short time, then whispered something to Vincent. "You still worried about what our friend said Vincent? Well as long as you don't stab me in the back i'll go with you to help solve the problem. Besides, if you're gone who else am I supposed to poke fun at" Aeon said as he got closer to them. "I assume that you two also know of the disturbance here, we have some unwanted company" He said, and he formed a barrier around the group.

[Forest] [Talisman Moving East] Talisman had given Kota his objective, now it was time for him to do his part. While Kota went to the Faustus house, Talisman headed east towards the group jumping from tree to tree. Kota had activated a tag that allows the user too telepathically communicate with whoever has the other tag. Talisman and Kota had been using this method in their operations for years. -“Talisman”- said Kota. –“Talisman ya hear me?”- -“Yeah, I hear ya, Kota”- replied Talisman. -“The house is away two hours away”- Kota said. –“I should arrive there in about half an hour. How are thing on your end?”- -“I’m still moving right now, so it’s fine. Take yer time, Kota”- answered Talisman. –“We got a few more hours left before we have to report back. Watch yer back out there, Kota.”- -“You too”- replied Kota. –“Kota signing out.”- As Kota ended their talk, Talisman kept moving east, jumping from tree to tree. As moved, Talisman would occasionally under or over shot his jumps making him grab any nearby branch with his hand. -Crap, another overshot, - Talisman thought to himself. –Thankfully I’m tall enough to reach for any overhanging branches. Guess being 6ft tall does have its advantages.- As Talisman quickly moved through the trees, a thought kept running through his mind. Finally he stopped and started to take off his long cape as he placed his sword and satchel right next to him. When Talisman unbuckled the collar and took off his trench cape from around his shoulders, he tore off the patch showing that he’s military and placed it inside his right boot. -I already look suspicious as is in my black uniform,- he thought. –And with this military patch on, it just makes things more difficult for me. Should I come across anyone, it’d be best avoid them knowing I’m military.- Talisman put his cape back on and clipped the collar back together; he put his satchel around his shoulder and carried his sword in his hand. He then jumped to the next tree, quickly advancing towards the group. About ten minutes went by of him jumping through trees, until he saw site of the group. -There they are.- he thought. -131ft away, I guess.- Talisman stood in a tree 150ft up high, then received an urgent transmission from Kota. -“Talisman! Talisman!”- said Kota urgently. –“Get the hell outta there, now! One of the tags we set up is about to go off! I repeat… get the hell outta there, immediately, you’re too close!”- “Damnit!” said Talisman just noticing the tag next to him had glowed red about to explode. Talisman quickly jumped to the tree ahead of him, but he had undershot his jump. Talisman feet did not grip the tree branch and had fallen back. As Talisman saw the tag he crossed up his arms in front of his head. “Sh…” before Talisman could finish, the tag had exploded in front of him 15ft away roaring through the forest, knocking his bag and his sword away from him, and a picture of a girl he had always carried with him. Talisman fell from the tree from the explosion, losing his equipment. He fell 150ft to the ground hitting and breaking multiple tree branches on his way down. Talisman hit the snowy ground landing on the back of his shoulders first to his back. The shockwave left him disorientated. He saw his bag and his sword land a few feet away from him. The picture of the girl he had always carried fell inches away from his arms reach. Talisman struggled to reach for the picture, but couldn’t come close. “N-no. N-not yet.” struggled Talisman. As Talisman forced himself, seconds later he fell unconscious, with his fingertips on the edge of the picture.

[Stomrcaller Mansion - Front Gate] The group had arrived at the Mansion where Ranek was waiting for them. Fenris: Aeon, you can lower the barrier, there's little to threaten us now that were here. Ranek: Welcome to the Mansion, shall we start preparing the feast? Fenris: No, we need to rest before anything else, also I would like to see what you're gonna feed me, there's never telling what tricks you might play on me. Ranek started laughing. Ranek: Very well, just find me when you're ready, now should I have someone escort you to your rooms? Fenris: Yes, that would be great, but I would like to stay at the Southern Rooms. Ranek: I'll have it arranged. Karah, would you take them to their rooms then? Karah: If I must. Ranek: Yes, you do. Karah: Follow me then. As Karah started leading them ahead, Fenris turned to his friends. Fenris: So how does it look? Is it as grand as I remember? A little reference pic of the Mansion.

[Vivian][Stormcaller Mansion] As the group arrived at the mansion and Fenris talked to Ranek, Vivian looked at the mansion. She thought the Gothic architecture was very pretty, and somehow it reminded Vivian of her own home in the West. Although, mine's more like a castle than a mansion, Vivian thought. "So how does it look?" Fenris asked, "Is it as grand as I remember?" Vivian managed to break her gaze from the mansion and follow the person leading them to their rooms, and turned to Fenris. "It's so beautiful," Vivian said, "And somehow it reminds me of my own home. The architecture makes it look like a Gothic style building, and you can see all the details put into the mansion." She smiled, and then thought of how much work was probably put into the building of this mansion. It was certainly worth the work put in, Vivian thought, It's so beautiful... She continued thinking about the mansion as she walked, waiting to hear what the others thought of the mansion.

Ever since we left the Academy we've had people tailing us." Vincent made his way inside the house and noticed Fenris directing someone to show them to rooms. "Pardon me, but I've never been one to appreciate architectural designs. The most I can say is it certainly is large and imposing."

ANKE l Stormcaller Mansion Anke almost gaped at the sheer size of the stormcaller mansion. It was about the size of her own home, but the detail in it was far, far more impressive. It was probably twice the age of her own home and still in mint condition, so to speak. "Wow, Fenris it's so cool!" Anke exclaimed. She momentarily forgot about the people who seemed to be following them. Their presences were further away and she pushed them out of her mind for a second. Running up to Vivian. "This is really cool, huh?" she asked her friend. Absently she could hear Vincent and Aeon talking about their new company.

Aeon laughed in agreement at his comment, glanced around to see where the other enterances were and followed him inside the mansion. "Pardon me, but I've never been one to appreciate architectural designs. The most I can say is it certainly is large and imposing." "Certainly fits what you would expect of Fenris" Aeon added, glancing at their largest comrade, who was towering over the rest of them. As they followed their guild Aeon glanced out the windows "There's an army of people after us. You really think well be safe here?" he asked Vincent quietly.

[Stormcaller Mansion - Southern Rooms] They had been walking for some time through the hallways of the mansion. Aeon: "There's an army of people after us. You really think well be safe here?" Fenris turned his head towards Aeon. Fenris: Don't go underestimating the Stormcallers, we are quite safe here unless the Knightmares or whoever is after us want to incite the whole North to war. Karah: Were here. Karah opened the door in the middle of a rather long hallway. The room beyond the door was decorated in a true northern style there was pelts of bears and wolves om the floor and hanging from the walls, there was large fire pit in the middle of the room, where a fire had been lit recently. There also was various benches, couches and chairs in the room. Also there was six more doors on leading to small individual rooms, two doors on each wall. And then there was a stairway leading to a balcony on the second floor. Fenris: Thanks Karah, could you have someone bring us something to eat? There has been some time since our last meal and I'm feeling a bit hungry. His stomach rumbled loudly. Fenris: Correction, very hungry. Karah: All right, I'll have someone bring food, enjoy yourselves. Karah left them as Fenris wnd the others went into the room. Fenris: So it seems we have managed to get ourselves some peace, at last. He had walked into a couch as he had entered the room and had slumped into it finally allowing himself to relax. Fenris: I reckon we should push all the thoughts about the recent events away and just relax for a while. We should also give Vincent time to recover from the wounds he received and there is also the matter of my eyesight, Blackmane said that the blindess would last from one week up to a month. So until that happens I think we should just stay here and recover from the events of the past few days. Too much has happened to simply move on...

[Vivian][Stormcaller Mansion] "This is really cool, huh?" Anke asked Vivian as she came up beside her. Apparently, Anke was just as fascinated by the house as Vivian was. Vivian chose not to respond right away so she hear Vincent and Aeon's discussion behind them. Aeon was wondering how safe they would really be here in the Stormcaller Mansion. At this time, they had reached the section where they were staying. As they walked in, Vivian took a look around the room, seeing how the room was decorated with animal skins. I'm not suprised by that, Vivian thought. Vivian was walking next to Fenris when was able to walk into a couch as he entered the room and managed to sit himself down into it. Guess he's finding out how to guide himself to things, Vivian thought, Since he's settled himself down, I'll take this time to talk with Anke while we are waiting for our food. We haven't had the chance to have a good chat in awhile, and this seems like the perfect time. "I want to chat with Anke for a bit," Vivian said to Fenris, "We haven't had the chance to talk about things in awhile. Not since we left the academy. So I'll be with her for a bit. Just so you know where I am if you need any help getting around. Although, I think that you're getting used to being blind, seeing how you got yourself into this couch." Vivian giggled a bit at what she had said, and then went over to Anke. "Sorry I didn't answer you earlier in the hallway," Vivian said, "I was too busy listening to what Aeon and Vincent were saying. And I agree with you and Fenris, we will be safe here and this place is really awesome. So, do you want to chat for a bit? In one of the rooms?" Vivian smiled to Anke, hoping that she would get that this would be a chance where they could finally talk alone.

ANKE l Stormcaller Mansion Anke walked with the rest of the group into the section of the mansion in which they would be staying. Vivian didn't answer her right away. Anke knew better than to be annoyed by this because Vivian always had reason behind her actions, so she just followed her. When they got to their rooms Vivian turned to Fenris and asked if she could have some alone time with Anke and then turned toward her best friend. "Sorry I didn't answer you earlier in the hallway," Vivian said, "I was too busy listening to what Aeon and Vincent were saying. And I agree with you and Fenris, we will be safe here and this place is really awesome. So, do you want to chat for a bit? In one of the rooms?" Vivian smiled at Anke, and Anke returned the gesture. "Sure thing, I think this is our room anyway." She said pointing at a large door with two beds. Anke led her friend in the room and sat down on the bed. She let out a little sigh of happiness and stretched. "You and Fenris make a lovely couple," Anke began she knew that her words would probably embarrass Vivian but it was a lighter note to start the conversation.

[Stormcaller Mansion] "Not to be a pessimist, but just because attacking could start a war doesn't mean we are safe. You forget who we're dealing with after all." Vincent stretched and looked around. "Food would be great right about now. The last thing I had was a bit of bread." He noticed that Anke and Vivian had left the group and headed in to their room. "Well, since those two are off having girl time together I think I'll go get a little training in before chowing down. Let me know when it's ready, I'll be right outside." He headed for the door, but stopped and looked back briefly. "Oh, and if they ask, tell them I'm resting."

[Kota] Kota had warned Talisman about one of their tags was about to detonate. He had heard Talisman curse, followed by the explosion of the tag. Kota stopped and turned around and saw the detonation of the tag from the distance. The explosion enveloped the top of the trees in fire and smoke, followed by the shockwave a second later. Kota had tried to make sure if Talisman had made it out okay through their telepathic tag system. -“Talis, Talis are you there?”- asked Kota. –“Talis are you there? Please respond. I repeat… please respond.”- Kota received no response, nothing but static. -There’s no way that tag went off accidently.- thought Kota. –But even tho if Talisman got caught in the blast, he would hold out for awhile. Hopefully long enough to get my part done.-Kota turned towards the direction Faustus house and made his way. Five minutes went by and he had arrived at the house. “Whoa, big.” said Kota starring at the house. “Better get to work quick then head over to Talisman to make sure he’s alright.” Kota got to work setting up the barrier tags Talisman had given to him. He made his way around the perimeter of the house setting up tags and cleverly hiding them in difficult spots to notice. His work cost him around fifteen minutes to complete. “(Phew) Done.” said Kota. “This should hold her in for some time… It would probably be best not to activate them yet. I’d best wait and get Talis to safety if he’s injured, if anything goes wrong I activate the tags from a distance. In the meantime I’ll Mukyo’ to get to Talis quickly.” Kota turned to Talismans direction sprinted towards his destination. Kota used Mukyo’ to make his thirty minute trip turn to ten. Soon after, Kota arrived on a trail near Talisman’s location. He saw footprints in the snow headed north towards Stormcaller. He looked into the forest and saw a body faced down into the snow. Kota sprinted to the body and was shocked to see Talisman unconscious, surrounded by carnage of tree smoldering branches and Talisman’s sword and bag. “Damnit. The tag must have been tampered with. It had to be.” stressed Kota. Kota flipped Talisman to his side to see the damage he had taken. As Kota turned him to his side with his muzzle, moving Talisman’s hand away from his picture, Kota had noticed the snow underneath Talisman was red. Talisman had taken heavy damage, bleeding from the top of his forehead, right arm, waist, and his left leg. Kota used his own abilities to grow his tail longer to pick up Talisman and his equipment. “I need to get him to a safe place before he bleeds out.” As Kota gently lifted Talisman, another one of their tags had detonated a few trees down a lot stronger than the first tag that had went off, giving Kota enough time to only retrieve Talisman’s sword and leave the rest behind. The explosion from the tag caused the tree in was attached to causing the tree to start tipping over and start a small fire. Kota quickly ran for dear life towards the Stormcaller house. “Crap,” said Kota. “That was too close for comfort.” Kota made his way to the front of the Stormcaller house without being seen by anyone. As Kota turned the corner he had surprisingly crossed paths with Vincent, who had just walked outside. -C-crap!-, thought Kota. – Of all the… No, wait Talisman is badly injured. If I leave him here they might treat his wounds. But I can’t stay here to be sure of that, not with this military collar I have on. Hopefully they don’t take off his cape or his headband, they might freak-out at the sight of his ears an’ tail. Right now I’ll have to let fate decide and hope they take care of his injuries. He’s still has his card on him to talk to me. I have to leave him here.- Kota set Talisman and his sword down in front of Vincent and quickly took off faster than he arrived, making sure not to say anything to freak him out and to make Vincent think Kota was nothing but a strange dog.

Aeon "Feeling safe because a war might be started?" Aeon thought "what if starting a war was their goal?". He considered pointing this out to Fenris when Vincent beat him to it "Not to be a pessimist, but just because attacking could start a war doesn't mean we are safe. You forget who we're dealing with after all." he said. Aeon silently agreed, and started to consider what he should do next. He decided that it would be best to find those magic items Fenris was talking about. Sure just taking them would be a bit underhanded, but they needed all the help they could get. Turning his attention back to the people in the room, he saw Vincent leaving, and decided to follow suit. "I'm going to go take a look around" he said to Fenris. As he left he placed a seal on the door though, partially for defensive reasons and partially because it would guide him back here in case he got lost.

[Stormcaller Mansion - Southern Rooms - Lounge] As Vivian and Anke had went into one of the rooms and Aeon and Vincent had left the room Fenris was sitting alone in the Lounge listening to the muffled voices of Vivian and Anke and the crackling of the firepit. He was thinking what had happened in these past days, it all started only three days ago, with the goblin attack that someone had instigated, during the attack he found out that he was a Stormcaller. Soon after they made their escape from the Academy to the abandoned castle and escaped from the Knightmares through some kind of teleporting had made their way to the small town whose populace had vanished due to a Knightmare. During their stay they had been attacked by the Cold Ones and by two different groups of mercenaries, they had managed to survive all battles, allthough the last one had left Vincent rather badly injured and him and Vivian with almost all their energy spent. Vivian... just the thought of her made him smile, even with all the bad stuff happening, it hadn't all been bad. With those thoughts he fell into a peaceful slumber on the couch.

[Vivian][Stormcaller Mansion] "You and Fenris make a lovely couple," Anke said once they were in the room. Vivian blushed, turning her face a rosy pink color. She closed the door behind her before she responded to Anke. "Um, thanks Anke," Vivian said, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone knows at this point. But there's a bit more to it than what meets the eye." She sighed, trying to stop blushing before she continued. "I was with Aeon and Aoko when I first found Fenris after we headed into the village," Vivian said, "And that was only shortly after he had become blind. So I had to help him around. I helped heal the wounds that he had at the time, and I helped him walk around as well. Still do. I guess we developed a deeper bond with that. Then we met some of the Stormcallers at the house where we were attacked... But after the meeting and before the attack... We had..." Vivian was now blushing red. "Kissed." Vivian managed to squeak out. She took a moment to calm herself down before continuing again. "I know I'm skipping details with this," Vivian said, "But that's basically what happened between us. And then the battle happened, and then you came back in sometime around there."
