I realized the "Who's Online" thing was easier to implement than i had previouly thought! Not only is there a new forum page, online.php, but you can also see if someone is onlin in their profile. The who's online page orders by level.

I thought Bloodymoon had the most, considering only if you take away Gendou City posts. XD Here's a new one. 1. Have you ever thought of an idea so that people here on Gendou.com can see if someone is online or not? Or would this fall under the AJAX has arrived Thread?

1. i would estimate all of the code and setup to be around 2,000 hours. if i were to do it again, from scratch as you say, with the knowledge i learned doing it the first time, it would take me maybe 300 hours. experimenting and learning is both time consuming and invaluable. 2. currently, i have the most. you can click on a person's avatar to view their profile. from there, click the intuitively labeled link to view all their posts. 3. yes, this website is kind of my "pride and joy".

1. See Forum -> Site Statistics 2. Sunday 3. given and stored login/pass are compared using MySQL query issued from within PHP, login session stored as a PHP object, password md5 hashed. the "remember me" checkbox on the login screen triggers a cookie with login/pass to be saved in browser for auto-login. 4. cause Firefox rocks 5. learn PHP/MySQL and be mindful of security! --- In regards to leveling, the FAQ contains the entire algorithm, plus an explanation. There is nothing more to say. Does it say anywhere that # of downloads effects your level? No? THAT IT DOES NOT!!!

1. Can you explain the rules of Leveling. I know it's in the FAQ, but can you define it it more, yet much simpler terms. Like what are Merit points, does the # of dLs you have affect you lv, that type of stuff.

No that's perfectly fine. In fact, if you were using Firefox you could be using multiple tabs instead of windows! @Devils-angel: Who knows, maybe I will move on someday. Lady_Rin did, though she still posts a bit from time to time. Having been a regular user here for almost a year now, this is the longest I've ever stayed active at any one site (excepting my Gmail account and the Google overlord itself). Maybe I will stay forever. My status as a moderator is a separate issue. If I am no longer useful on this forum as a mod, by becoming inactive or some other way, then I won't be. Simple as that. Becoming a regular user again doesn't mean that I would quit using the forum either. I don't know if that even answered your question, but I don't plan on ever leaving, and as to being a mod, well, that's up to the big man himself. To your question about posts in the RP forum, accidentally posting a few over 100 in a day isn't something to get yourself banned over. Just try to keep it reasonable. The rule is mostly there to keep the RP threads from being used as an instant messaging thread. Post once, then don't feel the need to immediately reply after the next post by someone else. Wait and see what develops across several other people's posts first. |

a little question here... If i open another window to gendou.com (to post in threads etc) while uploading a song, will that cause the uploading to be stopped? Because uploading takes a lot of time, i don't want it to stop halfway because of such things... |

Oh, so I can post more then 100 times per day, but I can only post 100 times in Gendou City (RP) threads. 1. What if I don't know that I posted more then 100 times in the Gendou City threads and I post like 110 before midnight today? (just for example).

this rule is only for sanity's sake. i am glad people enjoy the RPG forums, but more than 100 posts in a day is excessive.
