I just made my first K post.. XDDD /soooo happy.. XD DA: lol yeah... and now.. they are also sucking my weekends too.. x.x DN: it's better than mines.. XD hmm.. a long way to reach even half of DA's posts... XD

[@Keri] Eww that sucks. Though I'm bummed out I only have, what, one half day before Thanksgiving next week? Wtf is this BS about. :/(!) Heh~ [@H] Haha, well, nobody's really keeping stats here. :P [@Zpart] Yeah d00d, that era was Gendou.com's finest, at least the finest with me involved that is. No idea about pre-Golden Age era period, haha. But imagine if that age was still partially up, and I never had my hiatus from the forums for the few months I left. Now that'd be unheard of, though I doubt I'd be currently #1 in post count on the forums. [@Inx] If the Golden Age was still active, I'd have to miss school just to keep up with the posts and whatnot. In all the threads I post in daily, and whatnot, that'd be a huge irritation to try to follow and maintain free time with school, friends, etc., too. Being on the site alone during that time period was multi tasking, ALONE in itself!! XD Although I miss those times a lot, I love the current forums. It's perfect really, but not perfect like, HamasakiAyumibeauty perfect. ^_~`

ahahaha that time, the forums were so addicting that you wouldn't want to miss a single minute in the site!hahaha be inactive for a day or two, and get ready to see your last post buried in 4-5 pages hahahaha those were truly the best days of the forums ^_^ @DA indeed...back then i was active yet i was not on the site on a daily basis...(2-4 times a week tops) but given the same level of interaction today, the 10k club would have a LOT of members already ^_^ @H your not slow, the forums just died out T.T @inx indeed...and that's half the fun,reading all those posts and trying to catch up is a blast on its own ^_^ and that's the beauty of the forums,even if you missed out on the day's topics and discussion, you can always read the previous posts to catch up on things |

Hahahaha, I still remember setting the blacklisted record of posts in a day. :D And yeah, missing posts now is actually harder than back then, in a way. Cause back then there was a lot of instant postage, like IMing, which is not approved of now, or ever really, but back then the content was actually like, on topic. Sometimes now... it's just like, "yo n00b, read the rules..."

when was the golden age? im not sure if i can explain it best but... heck i only became truly active was at the peak of the golden age (when WOT was introduced) hmmm well i think it was the time before chat... the forums were packed and everyone was just posting non-stop, miss a day or two and be prepared to get burried in PAGES OF POSTS..and i mean PAGES there were clans (hiranabegumi *is that right? i forgot the spelling! I'm going senile!*,the juppon katana and the akatsuki DX plus more i guess), casino like betting games with hilarious outcomes/bets, events and awards (member of the week,gendou awards night etc)...plus the gendou city was packed with RP'ers! almost every week a new rp pops in! every thread was active...granted some threads started to become IM-like but at least everyone was posting on topic... its was truly the hey-day of the forums... now most of those activities can be found in chat ^_^ not that im blaming chat for the slow death of the forums (though it is a factor, since its easier to interact with people in chat rather than lurk for a while in the forums and suddenly post on a thread with people talking/debating on something) i blame the times (not the magazine >.<) its just that during the golden age..most of the members were still in early to mid teen years 13-17 years of age..and still has an ample amount of time to read/lurk through posts and spend a lot of time in the forums...but as the years passed by, these teens now have a LOT OF THINGS TO DO in real life (school work,relationships,work etc) causing the decreasing pace of activity in the forums...plus with the convenience of chat, its easier to talk to people instantly rather than wasting time reading through posts... phew i think i got a bit off-topic there..but what the heck! but hopefully that answers your questions kira >.< @DA you reached the 100 post user limit a day?! back then we had to have 2 pinoy threads because in just a single night, the first thread would reach the 100 post thread limit in 24 hours!>.< hahahaha |

oh dear god... those were golden age... I guess when I arrive to Gendou the golden age was in its final months I remeber to have a lot of posts just in gendou city, in the Critics bar wich was like the chat back then, were everything was permited XD And I posted in the waste of time like crazy, in everygame.... but back then I was not to involve in the other section or the RP's of gendou city (exept for the bar) so I had a lot of posts but no more... Now I have to compensate the limit of WoT with other section and Rps, but even now the RP's are very very slow... And I think the chat is the cause, cause the new memebers don't go to the forums but they go to the chat, so we don't have many new blood to reactivate the forums. I miss Jhonaton and his games and contests, it was cool... u.u for now I have 7175, and I've been almost 2 years and a half in gendou... so I guess I'm doing like 3000 posts a year or so... but I had a time were my posts go almost to 0... and a lot of my friends leave (Right here, Rei, Rabbit, Dark) . . . oh well, I'll keep trying   |

@Zpart: XD omg, clans! I totally forgot all about that until now! I have to agree with you about the era ending because of time in general. Sad that it ended... Back then it seemed as if the participants of the forum were older in general. Maybe cause I was younger then? It's all perspective. XD Also that they weren't really afraid to voice their opinions or come up with something innovative. Now it just seems like all people want is a high post count so they don't really put any substance into their posts. >_> If I can recall, it ended rather conveniently right when summer ended like, 2 years ago. (for me at least.) Well, it's probably best not to talk about it. Kind of taboo. 650! >____< Why so slow? Gotta watch more anime so I can discuss it more. ~_^ |

Ah yes, I guess only true active~iers? cold possible explain it with more depth, but that's pretty good. And yeah, shortly after the WOT was created, but months, months later was the chat. Well, I'm not quite sure exactly when the chat came prior to the WOT section being created, because remember I left for a while. Hiatus, but eventually made me return and I've been here ever since my return. :D You're pretty right on most of the stuff, but I wouldn't say RPs were made every week. I think currently, they are made ever week and die within that week, sorry, but that's just what I see. Back then RPs were more like regular active anime threads now or WOT threads. They were obviously checked upon everyday, shoot, every second of the day. Members involved in whatever RP were really involved. Many things happened for each RP. The first Gendou Awards Nights shows most of the most legendary RPs ever created in Gendou City. I don't want to diss any RP now but none were really like the ones back then, one reason is because of the 1000 posts per thread rule applied, as well as other things involved as well. About clans, oh boy yeah there were a few clans I remember back then, not a lot though. Nothing like clan vs. clan sabotage type stuff, but clans faught within themselves. FA's frypan thread (un-official RP) was where I met FA, haha, and that started other stuff. ^_~` That's really not relevant at all, but anyways, moving along here, you get the idea. I think it's best on what Gendou did to change some things around. Personally, I don't think he and the mods together could control such chaos alone. Single threads were sometimes dominate a single page alone, because of the high pace posting, literally. But I think it was best because things started to get in the negative side of it, too. Clans eventually broke a part, the larger RPs eventually died out since members who originally began them left, members started to argue a lot, new mods and just stuff I don't want to get all into. And about the limit, yeah, I only passed it once. Actually, that blacklisted record I set a long time ago will most likely never be broken. You'd probably flip out if I told you, though I don't remember the exactly number of it, though during this era, if we had some avg. scale to keep track of our post rate, I'd say I'd average 60-65+ posts a day. Now that's like, maybe a few weeks? Month? Haha, but it was fun. [@Jow] Ha, with all I've been through lately, there's hardly time to be awake. >_<;;

i said almost every week...maybe it was more bi-weekly or something hahahaha but yeah lots of rps that start and die off in a week >.< we had about 5-7 pinoy threads unti only 2 survived..then with the 1000 post thread limit we had to choose one... i was a member of the frypan clan HIRANABEGUMI!hahahaha but still, to reached a 100 posts per day is like..WOW... |
