what's Skyline? O.o

well, I was asking casue a friend of a friend who is from new york
and came here for vacations was always saying that here everything
is really cheap but cars :S

He said something that with the money you buy a "normal cheap car"
here, you can buy a good BMW in the US >.<
what do you think about this? :S

Here's one (that's not tricked out that much):

What kind of cars do you have in Colombia? Must be pretty sweet,
but isn't gas an issue even if it costs less then gas here?

Also, which model/year of BMWs are we talking here?
The '08 is set to around 60-70K. Possibly more.

That car looks nice DA.
Ummm... expensive much on that? lol

Gendou City? is that the RP thing that everybody does?

Cars in the US very depending on it. Used are usually always cheaper, unless its customized.
But most cars in the US if new buy will range mostly in 20 to 60k even if its like a few years old.
The newer the car the bigger the insurance for it. :(

The Skyline... that would be a GTR if I am not mistaken.

Nissan Skylines aren't a car you can just get now.
Since they're imported cars it's harder to find them,
and also since they're very rare to get (a good model), it'll be expensive.

Depending on your year/model, a GTR costs 85K easily.
And if you talk about the ones that are tricked out, can nearly reach over 90-95K, possibly more.
This is just my estimated guest, but you don't see a Skyline everyday now do ya? :P

Also the steering wheel is on the right side like in other countries, so you need a special license or something, I think.
These cars are friggin' fast though, cause they're known as racing cars, and they're from Japan (Nissan).

UGH! Checked cars.com a few minutes ago,
an Acura I saved up got priced at 17K, WTF!
No worries, there's still a nice Ford Focus and a Mazda under 7K, so I'm still okay, lol.

Also, Gendou City is the Role Playing section of this forum.
Go there to learn about it and read more info.

well, I guess he was talking about normal BMW's o.o?
I think he mention something like "Nice used BMW"
well, to give a better idea if the prices.

A car taht in the US will cost U around 4 000 dollar
here in Colombia, doing the conversion, would cost something around
10 000 Dollars or more.

I think DA knows more about cars than me XD
I really know nothing about cars >_<

yesh that gendou city, been hot for RP these days ^^

cars in Indonesia.... the new ones could range about 200-400 million IDR, that's about 20-40 grands. For the most expensive 2-doors, it can reach 1 billion IDR -_-'
Used ones are way lot cheaper, ranging from 60-90 million IDR (2000s) and 10-50 million IDR (80-90s) depending on the car ^^;

in my lifetime until now, I've never seen a skyline except the 80s model, there's a lot of them in Indonesia ^^a

for many years later, I'm gonna stick with my jazz ^^

I know crap about cars, haha.
A car i want that's still a bit expensive even with it's age,
is a 98 Surpra. The look of it alone is just sexy,
and I love cars with cool looking head/tail lights. :P

Explain your Jazz to me. It sounds interesting since you love it so much.

Oh, I'm not sure, I doubt it but my Uncle's first car looked something like a Supra.
I was in it a lot when I was a lot younger,
and this was before he was married, so there's some more single talk for ya, haha.

Aggh my connection sucks so much right now!!!

I don't much about cars myself. I have a few friends and they are crazy about cars so I pick up a lot of knowledge when I talk to them.
There cars are all bagged, rimmed ,lowered, and interior customized. lol
Oh, and they wax it about every week.
If you ask me thats a lot of time consumption.
I have been told that Turbo would really well with my Taurus. O_o

My car is mainly just for to and from work.
Or hangin out with friends. Can't really do anything else. I'm single. :p

just your plain automatic 2004 jazz, my dad bought it about 3 years ago when I first entered highcshool, but we've been through a lot together ^^

at first I'm not used to automatic and was quite troubled with its low bottom, but after a short while I love it more than our old Panther (Indonesian own creation of Isuzu). 6 months ago it's officially the only car in my family because they sold the old Panther, so my dad uses it more than me -_-'

I'm thinking about modding it since most of my friends also did, but it costs a hell lot of money -_-'

Haha, what else would you need a car for: friends, work, transportation mainly.
I would hate to have someone else drive a car of mines, even if they bought it, haha.

Waxing does take hard work though. It also helps if you have a nice smooth paint job to start with.

Isuzu's are pretty sweet, I think (if I'm picturing the right logo).
Mod that joint and pick up girls, haha.

When I was in New Jersey around July 4th (Independence Day Weekend with the family + grandparents),
there was the one day where we went to the beach to get some clams.
I was in the passenger seat with... my uncle? I'm not sure who he was,
well, I knew who he was just not sure what to call him,
but we began some small talk and he just like looked at my appearance,
and said stuff I should do to pick up girls, lol.
He started with "how old are you now", to "get some color in your hair, work out a bit, build your chest up", etc. haha.

Also, there was a huge traffic overload around this time (New Jersey? Fourth of July? Darn right).
We drove on the yellow dashes and jipped all these calls so it was cool. ( ̄ー ̄)

My god... I just woke up and there is almost 1 page to read.... this club sure is happening!! (even when I'm asleep~)

I see, but we are in the single club we don't need vans =D <-- I love this one DN!! hahaha!!

Wuu... so vans are important in US... now I learn something new... I think most of us here would not wanna drive a van... those with bigger family usually go for SUV (I think thats what they are called... me dunno much about cars... =X) which is a 7 seater big car~ I've sit in a couple and they are really nice and spacious... but i hate to sit at the back back (normal 4 seaters only got 1 back row seat, SUV has 2)... cause is bloody hard to get in and out.

Personally, I wouldn't go for a 2nd hand car... though it maybe cheap but the amount of problems it give you, the time, money and frustrations spent on the problems probably outweight it...
Though indeed a brand new car may not be problem free but... you've got warranty! XD

"hey mom, can I borrow the van?", "why dear?", "I gotta pick up the guys at the bar, you know... they're drunk again." <-- she's probably not lend it to you for the fear that the wreck the car, be it by puking in it or otherwise~

I think Singapore probably have the most expensive cars ever... due to the tax and COE prices that you have to bid for when you buy a car...And this is to add onto the BMW or any other cars you buy...

GMeis, you should come join us in Gendou City~~~ heee

Your "uncle" or whoever he is (>_<) seems kinda cool~ giving u tips to go after gals =Þ

Yikes... I've goto rush out again... I'll post again in another 10 hrs or so...

Yay, some long posts! XD
My connection was so choppy today. :(

@DA: Your uncle does sound cool. My uncles are all boring. I never really see them and they are all just about there restaurants.
Very boring. The only tip the give me is how to chop meat correctly or remember to take out the trash.
But what does he mean by "build up your chests"? o.O

@H: If you are gonna mod up your vehicle, I hope you got a lot of money unless you're gonna use cheap products.
I have a friend that modded his truck. He spent like 10,000$ on specs. to his S10. He is working on getting suicide doors for it now.
It looks great and all and he goes cruising a lot, but thats a lot of money. :p

@Engel: I doubt I am ready for RP. I might try it out later.
I just started going into the chat not too long, and before that I was scared out my wits about going in there.
I don't like getting ignored too much. lol
I have a pretty big imagination, but I am terrible at writing or typing it down. :(

I am lucky my mom doesn't own a van. lol
I have way too many drunk friends, but luckily they all do it at home.
I hate it when they call me when they are drunk and tell me to come over and drink though, but it is funny how they talk. :)

Haha, one time I was in a friend's car, and it was brand new,
and my other friend had a nose bleed and a drop came out and she told her to grab it and he did! O.O`
I mean that blood will stain, though I think it will come out pretty nicely.

And yeah, though everyone says that to me for some reason, hahaha. :P
I'm pretty good though, just need a car now. ^_~`

Also, don't quote me with the van thing, that's only my opinion,
I don't know everything about American society, haha.

About being single, if you're single is it better to have a two door car rather than a sedan (or whatever) with four?
Two door cars make you look pretty cool, if it's a nice car.

[edit] [@Gmeis] You know work out, bench so your chest pops out a little, y'know?
I'm fairly skinny, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm not "wimpy". :O

D: sorry guys.. kind'a idle... so anything new??

@DA: 2 doors car look very cool. ;3 for singles though.. if you are having a family.. then.. *roll on the floor*

@Gmies: D: i always disappear when Rp-ing though ~_~

About the van issue. What DA says is mostly true.
A lot of families in the US own a van or a SUV. Especially large families.

@DA: My car, I wanted to have 4 doors. Though yes the 2 door cars do look more nicer. Chinese friends and family are like really close, so I ended up driving a few friends a lot. So I had to have a 4 door car. I still don't get the concept on the chinese thing cause I call my friends dad 'sew sew'.
That might have been spelled wrong, since I can't write chinese in english too well, but it means uncle.
And from what I know, fairly skinny is a good thing. :p

@Eria: lol. Ummm what do u mean by you disappear when Rp-ing? Like you get left behind? :)

Re: The Single's Club~ (singing our Theme song??)
Link | by devils-angel on 2008-08-05 23:42:22
lol, if you roll on the floor that might be dangerous, not to mention a bit uncomfortable, haha.
Two door cars are nice, though I think when you get older you're gonna need a four door,
though unless you get both it's not so bad, right? :P

I'm not working out though. Last year, second quarter, all quarter I signed up for weight lifting,
I was sore for nearly the entire quarter, then I got used to it, then the quarter ended, so yeah, haha.

Other than how strong or built I am, people seem fine for how I am now, especially some girls I know. ^_~`
And other than strength, my athleticism is pretty good since I jump high for a short guy, everyone says this about me. :P

It's almost like the Underdog in the cast, since your typical society judges height strongly.
But once we start doing whatever, I pwn everyone, especially at this game we pay called "Speedball", it's my favorite.

XD lol, so much car talk and stuff.

>.> Gonna steer this a liiitle bit back somewhere near the subject of singleness since this is kind of bothering me.

Ok, so I was reading this article about how guys hate certain fashion trends on girls cause y'know, it's kind of good sometimes to see what the opposite gender thinks. For the most part, yes, I agree with them and I'm a girl.

But THEN I started reading some comments made by guys and that just totally pissed me off how they were saying, "omfg, I hate it when girls do these things. And just to add, they should do this, this, this, and this. And never do blah blah blah again. titz, lulz." =____= or something like that, typical internet guy-jerk talk.
I mean, we all have preferences, but SERIOUSLY?! How often do you see guys dressing up for girls every single day. I go through a lot of work to look somewhat "presentable" and then these guys are just going to tell me (or women in general) that we have to add to that list just to please them?

And don't even get me STARTED on hair. Some guys left comments like, "a must for hotness must be long hair" or bull crap like that. You know why I chopped off my long locks back when high school started? Cause it takes too d*mn long to wash it, shampoo/condition it, comb/brush it, blow dry/style it and put on hair applicants. If other girls want to do it, fine, that's alright with me. Most guys never have never gone through that but come on, it's COMMON SENSE to know how much work it takes. But since those people left comments like that, I'm am going to make SURE that I keep my hair short so I don't attract jerks like that.

I've been raised in a very liberal and feminist area so I don't take very kindly to these kinds of controlling chauvinistic remarks.
I know I shouldn't let it get to me but...GRAH! B*stards!
=_________= Talk like that and you're never gonna get laid...

>.> K, I'm done ranting so let me get to my point. (I needed that rant...)
Do you (guys in particular) exclude someone as a potential partner or judge them harshly in general because of their physical appearance? Be honest, I really want to know what you think. :3
