I loved the second generation of Pokémon to death and I felt sad when my internal battery ran out. The first generation was also really addicting to me, and the Stadium games just added so much to that. I played gen 5 games and do go back to them every now and then. I still buy the new Pokémon games but it would feel good to be so sucked into those games like I was when I was younger again. :x By far, I played Super Mario World the most from new files. It's not even my favorite game, but the levels never got boring. There were very few levels I disliked (i.e. Butter Bridge 1 and Soda Lake, and Valley Fortress and Wendy's Castle's layer 2 falling spikes used to scare the bejesus out of me as a kid.) Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is probably my second most-played start-to-finish. I never ever ever get tired of going through this game, though sometimes I do it while listening to other music. Both of these games were big parts of my childhood and nowadays, incredibly nostalgic to me. I also find that I can return to the Touhou games whenever they pop into my head and not get tired of them (especially Imperishable Night and Subterranean Animism -- both the music and the gameplay keep me coming back.) Final Fantasy Tactics, Der Langrisser, Shin Megami Tensei games, some of the Zelda series, and Final Fantasy VII are games I find myself occasionally thinking about and playing again without getting sick of. |
