I've got comments from Ayanesa-san for drawings dating back from the 2nd thread (O.O , THAT'S FAR) . She can't type it as she has no time to do it and she's using the company CPU to review the pics ..... silently >o< .(Her CPU 'crashed' in a accident<-you guess it) Instead , she post me through fax (15 pages!!!!) . I can't review all , so for those who need those comments ,post me ^^ .(Even I myself won't be able to post as often as before ~.~) . There are recent ones too (Yesterdays and two days ago too) , so I'll review thosewith my comments too. And for those who need my 'serious' comments for help (Helped Mp4c in his drawings , but ..... where's he anyway?) , post me ^^. @Without You Mine : O.O , nice sketches there ^^ , but the second one seems blur , partially . It's ok , I understand ^^. "Compassion for the weak" ? ^^ Ayanesa : Nicely done sketchings . Even without the background to help show the depth and distance , the shadow you've applied helps . But to be cautious , try to plan the strokes for the shadings done by you to make sure that your work don't look messy . For the others , it's ok . Pic 1 : 70% Pic 2 : 66% @Starpetals Mine : O_O <-means that's REALLY an eye-opener . IT"S HUGE!!!!! . Try finding a way in reducing the size , kya ? Wow , your style is close to mine *APPLAUSE* , it's really wonderous , all three of them , especially the first one , it looks real ^^. Thumbs up ^^. But the third one , the paper's folded O.O . Ayanesa : I am pleased with your works here . It's visually real to anime fans and viewers eyes . But try not to fold your drawing and avoid smudging too much . and for add-on tips , playing with tones is crucial for monotone colour , especially for black-white tone . So , try to be brave in playing with the darkest possible tone as it helps in determining volume , distance and depth . As for the colour version , it's fine but at times , at certain area , try smoothing the colour and try blending it with the tone next to it to show realism in your work. Pic 1 : 80% Pic 2 : 70% Pic 3 : 72% @Mr.Mushroom Mine : Nice , like it . Keep up your work ^^. Ayanesa : It's at the basics . But if you put some interest in drawing , chances of improving is much better . Keep up your good work . Pic 1 : 51% Pic 2 : 50% @Midori Mine : Ooo , every morning ? I'll usually drink whenever I start drawing , day to night ^^ , but not a cup but TWO and at times THREE !! O.O * Shocking* just to keep me awake . But these days , it seems that the coffee is losing it's effect ..... any solutions ? :P Very creative characters there . And don't worry about the difference , it's very common error for those who're drawing group art (That's my speciallity :P) . If you need any help , I'll help as I've helped Mp4c in drawing . Names ? Ask me to generate names for you ^^ or anyone in this thread to help ^^. To prove I've did group art like you do:  There's another one under construction . So , Just wait ^^. Ayanesa : It's at it's basics , but the creativity is already there . By designing your own personal character , you stand a chance of becoming a manga artist , like Imppy-san and Mp4c-san . Heh...glad this thread hasn't changed since the last time i visited it...about two weeks ago ^__^. !!!!!!!! O_O!!!! OMG!!!! Angelus!!!! where have you been....*reads his posts* robbery!!!! Gee....hope everything is okay!? And i thought my last few months were bad.....anyways i'm really glad you are back friend & able to grace us with your art! *bows* Too many posts to comment on....so i'm very sorry about that. @Angelus Wow, I think you're more into coffee than I am! Well, I think coffee's losing its touch on you because you're too hooked on it! One cup a day'll do. :3 Thanks for the kudos on the drawing. Actually, my characters have names, but I refuse to mention them here because I borrowed the names from other animes. Gomen, it embarrasses me. >.<' Great sketch by the way! I've always wanted to learn how to draw armoured-mecha-medieval anime. You know, the elaborate get-ups and whatnot. Never did learn (probably because I don't watch Gundam or Voltes V). Anyway, claps for your drawing! @Without You Arigatou! I appreciate the advice. :3 I'm quite the amateur at drawing; I only stumbled upon this ability in 3rd grade, didn't have professional background on sketching whatsoever (that explains my inability to color or use photoshop >.<') so basically, I've been on my own (except for the sausage technique I got from Art Attack). I also haven't practiced on my drawings lately, I just doodle. So I really appreciate the help I'm getting. Guess I'd have to start calling you sempai! Tee hee. :3 Thanks again! :)  |

@ Shinji-san !!!!!! O_O!!! WOW!!! you are back too! I hope you did well in your exams....i'll cross my fingers for ya! *guys pic* - i really like the shiny shading you did for their clothes. Most of the guys are well done. I would say the guy on the far right his face might need some touching up. Also when drawing headbands to make it look more realistic i suggest not just darking it out...draw the band between the lines for the hair...this makes some of the hair stand out instead of being covered by the headband. *girls pic* - Much better execution this time around. Again great work on the shading & folds for the clothes...those look easier said than done. It would look nice if you shaded the hair as well but thats a personal preference. @ Mitsukiru-san I agree with Red-san....some little work on the proportions of the body & arms will improve the drawing. She does have a nice sad expression....her right eye is shaded a little too heavily. The way you did her left eye is what you are looking for. Don't worry too much about backgrounds...keep it simple at first...like just have leaves, cherryblossoms, grass...or a combination of simple effects. The more complicated things will come in time with practice...like the trees. You don't want the background stuff to overwhelm your main drawing....that should stand out more than what you have in the back. Overall it looks very sweet & innocent....keep doing what you do...okay? ^__^! @ Red-san Cool original characters....great looking details in their clothes & accessories...the weapons look awesome! Each character has its diversity & own special vibe to them....how long have you been working on your novel/manga? |

@ALL: too many wonderful works to comment!!!! Great job everyone. (I sound so lame. sorry) Terror of Dead request something for the manga we are working on. Here it is and here is my comment: First the hands sucked. I have no excuse except I am too lazy to make it right. ^__^' This piece is done with charcoal. The fine details are done with 0.5mm mechanical pencil. It took about an hour and a half to complete. Page size is 9"x12".   |

O.O Looks like I'm rather too late to comment. Sorry, my soul's not around... being studying for almost 24 hours gives me the pain in the chest. Okay... I managed to brief through the posts that I've missed... let's see... @.@ tooo many of them... @Immpy: Nice sketch on your FLCL... yeah, the guitar has some problem. @Without you: Seen your sketches and it's nice. Especially the latest one. Keep up the good work. @Starpetals: Your three sketches are great not to mention the coloured Inuyasha. I never seen you before so welcome to the thread. @ROQ: You're really good at drawing some Marvel comic characters... nice one by the way. @Mr Mushroom: Your drawing of One Piece is nice... well, to my point of view, the manga artist for One Piece made something easy to draw for himself not to get lost while drawing . I'm sure that your draw that easily. ^^ In the other hand... I may be wrong. @Poko poko: Your colouring is okay but your eyes does tell me something is wrong with the overall structure. Anyway, there's room for improvement so keep up the good work. @Ich: Nice... so you do have the Adobe Photoshop... too bad for me as that thing might improve my drawing a little more better (colouring I mean). Must get it somehow... @Others: So sorry that I didn't mention your names but your drawings are great though there are still a little problem with some of your drawings... anyway, there's a room for improvement for everyone of you and as time progresses, I'm sure your skills will mellow like wine. Hey, you may not agree with me since the beauty of the drawings lies in the eyes on the beholder.^^ I'll be busy again but I'll keep visiting here often... Chao.  |
