I've worked on several other websites, but this is my "major" project, as it were. I went to CSU Chico and graduated in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Hello... After seeing several download sites all over the net, this question came across my mind. Gendou, what do you think about the rule that requires users to reach a certain numbers of forum posts before they're allowed to download any songs? Ever thought of implementing it? |

I've thought about it. This is one way to forcibly stimulate the community. I don't care to rely on force, it is more powerful to create a free and easy to use website.

May I ask something about contributions? For "type" contribution, if ANN doesn't have info about the song, but a different source does, is it alright to post a link from that source?   |

That should be okay since I don't use ANN to begin with. You could use Google or animelyrics.com, which is what I use.

It's most likely because I'm currently using a computer with a out-of-date IE, but I found this to be neat: Click to enlarge:  Its not a problem, but it became the background and looked fairly neat. So a question, I know there's a "StyleSheet" feature in our profiles to edit the colors of Gendou, but have you/will you make other "themes" for Gendou?

Interesting bug you found! I am uninterested in making other color themes myself, but if other users wish to share stylesheet data, a thread for such could be created.

You probably answered this somewhere else, but why is the red highlighted Anime series so much slower to dl then the others? Is there any chance it might speed up in the future?

@scandilizer- The anime episodes section is run by Sheep and Tiojar so it's better to address these questions to them. The red highlighted anime episodes are much older so I guess there just isn't as much bandwidth devoted to them. Whether it will speed up or not depends on Sheep and Tiojar.    |

I can't answer all of these, 'cept "hotlinking" could be one for #1. Gendou + donations from donating members help run the site and you can find the mods, here (+ Emi and Link).
