Pame, (lo dirijo directamente a ti xq no sé quien más de los jurados hable español, y estoy cansadita como para traducir lo que quiero decir!!!) Creo que deberÃa haber un horario para las votaciones, es decir, por ejemplo, si hoy jueves sale la lista de canciones de un grupo, mañana viernes (o si les conviene, pasado, sabado) saldrÃa el elegido por el jurado y tendrÃamos 1 dÃa que serÃa el domingo para votar, el lunes se sabe el ganador y de nuevo el circulo. Casi lo mismo que se ha estado haciendo solo creo que es necesario saber cuando exactamente el jurado mostrará su resultado si 1 o 2 dÃas después que salió la lista del grupo, para evitar que la gente llegue tarde para emitir su voto. No sé si me dejé entender. Espero que sÃ!

Emphy: Me gustaria poder decirles a todos exactamente cuando los jueces van a poner sus calificaciones pero lamentablemente no todos me mandan sus calificaciones al mismo tiempo por lo que no puedo tener un dia exacto. Por otro lado, no los puedo presionar a hacerlo rapido porque ellos estan haciendolo de favor. Pero intentare hacer algo con el tiempo de las votaciones asi se tiene un dia entero para votar. Translation: I wish I could tell you the exact timing the judges will post their reviews but I don't get them at the same time so I can't really work an exact date for them. I can't push them or pressure them either because they are doing this as a favor. However, I can work the times for the votes and give you all 1 single day for voting after the judging results have come out. There are good singers in this group too.. but my fav one is Miky and Naia ^^ nice song Miky and Naia , i liked your performance. ps: ill vote now cause i may not vote on weekend so my vote is for Miky if she enters the votations but if judges choose her as a semifinalist, then my vote is for Naia.. good luck both of you!

Gah!! Group 5 already?! Damn I couldn't vote for Capri! I totally desagree with the comments of the judges about my capri! first of all, who says women have falseto? She didn't abuse it, women don't have falseto o.o! And her technique is wonderful! And the song was demanding enough ._. (she did the scream of the begining o.O!) her range is wonderful too! Ah... well, she did it to the semifinals, but still... u.uU GO GO CAPRI!!! *fangirl* And now, good luck for group 5 :3! <3 kisses

| According to wikipedia there is controversy about the "women falsetto" and since Karla studied Music pedagogy that's what they taught her, so she DOES have education about it, she's not just talking without knowing. |

I was pointing to Wiki because it seemed like the easiest form of understanding, since this IS a multi-cultural forum and EVERYONE knows Wiki. Everyone has a falsetto. It is merely disputed that women can't possibly have a falsetto because their voice register is higher than the average man, to whom the term of "falsetto" would be more in use. A falsetto is simply "false voice" something that allows a singer to sing out of their normal vocal range. In operas, the use of falsetto is most evident in the male singers, but it is not unheard of for a woman to use falsetto. Capri, I minored in vocal performance and composition, so I DO know what I'm talking about. The falsetto is alive and well even in women. I have used it on occasion. It just pisses the heck out of me when people insist that women can't possibly have a falsetto and that is merely an extention of the head voice. Horse waste, I say. Further more, I'm not saying you shouldn't disagree with the judges comments, because everyone has their personal taste, but to say that without any logical arguments is just tantamount to fanaticism. You thought her technique was wonderful? How? Her range is wonderful? Hm, I didn't see too much of that in this song. I'm sorry, Capri, but I did agree with the judges, and frankly, I found the song quite dull. Maybe it's your recording equipment and the mic dulls your voice. Be that as it may, this was not the right song to showcase your vocal talents. Next round, I look forward to your performance, and hope that you will choose the right song. EDIT: That being said, I don't agree with Judge Benny in that Capri abused her falsetto. I don't think she used her falsetto more than a couple of times. |

About falsetto. Yes, women do have a falsetto register. However, many vocalists - mostly classical - don't recognize the female falsetto because it rarely goes higher than a woman's "chest voice". More often than not, a classical vocalist will consider a woman's falsetto to be bad form and, more often than not, a woman's falsetto tends not to sound very good, anyway... Then again, most male falsettos don't sound very nice, either. The big difference between me using falsetto and say, Pame using her's is likely going to be greater than an octave's increase in range. I hope this clears up the falsetto argument... |
