It's been this quiet for a long time now.

I'll be picking up DMC in the near future (I'm still not totally convinced on this whole reboot thing, but what I have seen recently is easing my mind a bit compared to what was originally shown off). I'm also feeling a bit better that Capcom abandoned the stupid idea of trying to work this game into DMC continuity. Anyway, I'll be getting it one way or another since I'm essentially obligated as a DMC fan.

Other than that, I don't think there is a whole lot I have to pick up day 1 at the moment. I'm in the mood for RPG's, but there aren't a whole lot of those on the table right now (except for Tales of Xillia, but I don't know when that is supposed to hit shelves). There is one from NiS coming to the PS Store in February, although it looks to be one of those older titles from Japan for the PSP. It's also from 'idea factory' I think, and those guys haven't exactly had a great track record when it comes to me.

There's also the Hitman Trilogy, but I'm unsure as to whether or not to get that right away or just wait for later (like I said, I'm in an RPG mood at the moment).

In terms of what games I'm playing at the moment, I've moved on to Just Cause 2 which I bought ages ago and only played when I felt like messing around. I'm actually moving through the story this time. I also downloaded a PS Classic to play on my Vita called Vanguard Bandits. It kind of feels like a cross between Escaflowne and Fire Emblem to me.

Wow, a real forum post from me. You don't see one of those too often.

@Jon: I'm currently debating whether or not I should go ahead and pre-order DmC myself. It's not that I'm not sure about the gameplay (I played the demo and really enjoyed it) but I'm quite backed up on games currently. I got the Mass Effect Trilogy for Christmas and I've been pumping a lot of hours into that. Maybe you've seen me playing it on PSN? I'm about halfway through with the first one right now, and I'm about 30 hours in, so it will be a while until I complete the full trilogy. Plus there's The Last of Us and Tomb Raider to look forward to in the coming months. I don't want to get an immense backlog going just to add those two games to it. I'm also skeptic if I'll even have the funds to pick either of them up if I get DmC.

I'm looking forward to Tales of Xillia, I'm a pretty die-hard Tales of fan, but we probably won't see Xillia until around April at the earliest. Namco has a terrible public relations department in NA. They don't like to communicate.

Besides Mass Effect though, I'm not really playing much. I still play Team Fortress 2 casually on the PC, and I was playing Black Ops 2 with Maiku and a couple friends pretty regularly until Christmas hit and we all got new games haha.

Hey guys! I've been playing through a lot of games recently. My brother just got
the Mass Effect trilogy for Christmas, so I got a chance to finish the first one
(he just completed the entire trilogy). I acquired and beat Asura's Wrath, and am
working through Super Mario Bros U on Wii U and Paper Mario 3DS. I'm also putting
in some time on Playstation All Stars and Black Ops 2 occasionally. Soon I plan
to move onto Bullet Storm and Mass Effect 2 while waiting for Ni No Kuni, Tales
of Xillia, Fire Emblem Awakening, Etrian Oddysey 4, Animal Crossing 3DS, and a
variety of Wii U titles.

And probably some others but I forget.

Oh and my brothers and I recently got around to putting in more Borderlands 2 time
(we've all been busy :() so now we're around level 44.

@Haseo - Yeah, I've seen you playing through it.

I'm the same way with funds. Since I got my new car in August most of my pay ends up going towards that. I bought quite a bit of stuff over Christmas, but now that we're into January work has slowed down, so I don't have as much money to work with.

I didn't get a chance to play the demo for DMC, but my friend said he liked it. The only real animosity I hold towards DMC is the fact that Capcom went and rebooted the series. They screwed up DMC4 and then threw up theirs hands to say "Might as well reboot it". Even though I was let down by DMC4 (at least, half of it) I was really hoping that they would keep the simple gameplay switch with Dante (being able to instantly switch fighting styles with the D-Pad) from DMC4 and use it for the next game.

That's not too bad regarding ToX though, assuming it actually does come out in April. I know what you mean about Namco/Bandai never communicating. Really makes me appreciate companies like Atlus and NiS that actually TALK about the games they want you to buy.

@Maiku - Me and my friend have barely touched Borderlands 2 since the Scarlett DLC (well, barely touched in terms of co-op. He's a trophy you-know-what so he's played through the main campaign like 3 times). For some reason the DLC packs releasing for B2 just aren't drawing our attention. I know I was 'meh' about the Scarlett DLC.

@jon: I totally agree with you on that!! the DLC their making aren't bringing out attention and I've only gotten 3 of my characters lvl 50 maxed!! Zero, Maya, and Gaige right now i'm working on Axton and then Salvador but honestly I beat it and played it but I've gotten so bored of it cause the DLc just wasn't very fun or interesting hopefully the hammerlock big game hunt will be good since Lvl cap will be in the DLC and i'm actually glad that it isn't gonna be a month to be completed this time like the other DLC, it seemed so rushed and not much effort into them but hopefully this latest one will be better than the last two

@maiku: i'm also in the middle of those games as well, I finished persona 4 golden on my vita and now i'm getting onto dragons dogma since I haven't played it in awhile lol

Re: Gendou Gamers Club 2

@Jon
My posse and I haven't even thought about getting the DLC since we haven't even
faced some of those high level bosses. We probably will eventually.

@DO I should get back to playing Dragon's Dogma too. Haven't played it since
October, and it was finally really opening up to me. I almost bought P4Golden to
play on my cousin's Vita, but he got some vita games for Christmas and changed
his mind about lending it to me :P

Oh and I got Bioshock 2 and Dead Island as gifts on steam. Unfotunately, my plans
to play Dead Island with friends went haywire when my game crashed three times in
a row just trying to open a door in the prologue. Had to restart my computer
each time, and now my laptop's keyboard doesn't even work. Coincidence? Maybe,
but I am definitely bummed. Seems like an awesome game :(

@maiku: the DLC is only good for the High level bosses!! it's really the only thing the DLC's are good for!! once you play the DLC you'll see the difference from when your enjoying the main story to the side story lol

so yesterday Namco and Bandai announced that Ni Nu Kuni: Wizard Edition is back
but only on the 17th which for a Last-time time deal for a limit time only luckly
I pre-order my before the event ended so happy to get it.

anyways brought Persona 4 Arena a few days ago and I love it so much
don't know why few people hated it but i guess there were too many
street fighter, KOF: King of Fighter, etc hardcore fans that gave it a bad view.

recently been playing Dead Island and waiting on Battlefield 3 next expansion
End Game (both ps3 version) and from what i seen looks like the air ship will be
doing or random Vehicle Drops from the sky and them motor cycles too.

Well, I've played and beaten DmC: Devil May Cry since my last post. I was pleasantly surprised by the combat in the game, but for god's sake does the new Dante suck. He's unbearably boring and uninteresting. Pretty much the best moment he gets in the entire game he ruins by scrawling something stupid on the clipboard (people who have played it will probably remember the scene I'm referring to). There are plenty of opportunities for him to be cocky and corny, but he just completely passes on most of them and delivers his other lines with no personality.

Anyway, I jumped to Son of Sparda after beating Normal (even though I have to go back and play Hard mode at some point anyway for a specific trophy), but I don't know when I will get around to actually getting a Platinum.

Next up is Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in a few weeks. I'm looking forward more to that one now since I played the demo from the ZoE: Collection.

I'm also going to hopefully borrow Ni No Kuni from my work friend since I didn't have the funds to buy it myself (due to DmC). Been hearing a lot of good stuff about it, so I'm looking forward to playing it despite not being a big Studio Ghibli fan (don't get me wrong, their art is great, but I've never been interested in their films).

Other than that, I've been making great progress in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood over the past few weeks. I'm on Chapter 6 and have about 17 hours in so far. I think I have pretty much every party member recruited, so the game will probably be wrapping up pretty soon I think.

@JC - People hated P4A? I've seen nothing but good things being said about it. Granted, I'm not in the Fighting Game scene at all, but I was under the impression that it was at least in the range of the Blaz games.

@D.O - It's hard for me to tell how I really feel about the Borderlands 2 DLC so far. Captain Scarlett was pretty forgettable in my opinion and Sir Hammerlock's seems to be gearing up for a letdown as well (me and my friend have played the first few missions of it so far). I did like Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, but that one seemed to end kind of abruptly for some reason.

So far out of the DLC for Borderlands and Borderlands 2, I would have to rate them like this:
1. Secret Armory of General Knoxx
2. Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
3. Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage
4. Claptrap's Revolution
5. Captain Scarlett's Pirate Booty (or whatever it's called)
6. Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt (So far)
7. Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot

I'm going to be playing ACIII, Bulletstorm, and Mass Effect 2 while I wait for
Fire Emblem Awakening, then that until Etrian Odyssey IV, then that until Luigi's
Mansion, MHtriU, and Lego City Undercover. Eventually, I'll get to borrow my
brother's Ni No Kuni, so I'm looking forward to that too :)

Hello! It's been a while since I've last posted. I got my PS3 back, and it's a slim, but lo and behold, announcement for the PS4 comes up about a day before, isn't that ironic?

Anyways, I got Ni no Kuni the other night and I'm enjoying it so far. The battle system is easy, having got used to it pretty quickly thanks to the demo. Other than that, I really don't have any games I'm interested in at the moment.

@Yuna - Good to know you got another PS3.

I still need to try Ni No Kuni. Not sure when I'll actually have the spare cash to get it though.

I picked up and beat Metal Gear Rising myself. I also got a free copy of the first Crysis, so I played through that as well. I almost have Suikoden: Tierkreis beat as well.

Oh yeah, who else got the free $10 voucher from PSN? I'm still a little unsure of what I should spend it on, but I'm thinking of getting La Pucelle Tactics.

@Jon: I didn't get a voucher, don't know why. I did some research and some people got them and some didn't. It doesn't seem like there was any criteria that you had to meet in order to receive it either. I've heard the message has something to do with being a "loyal" customer, but that's super vague.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I get one or not. I feel like Sony wouldn't just pull random names. It's not a PS+ thing either considering other users didn't get one and I've previously had +

Hey guys! I've been pretty busy with Fire Emblem, the first FZero (30 cents on
Wii U) and more Call of Duty. Also started Bulletstorm.

@Jon Can't go wrong with La Pucelle Tactics! Did you play it on Ps2?
@Yuna I'm waiting for my brother to be done with Ni No Kuni so that I can get my
hands on his copy!

Etrian Odyssey IV is super close. Looking forward to it!

@Haseo - Yeah, I've heard that as well. I know that me and my friend both got the voucher, but my manager at work said that he didn't (at least, he hadn't as of the last time I spoke with him).

I think it said something about being for Americans as well, yet me and a few other people I know got one and we're in Canada. I can't see it being random, but I definitely would like to know what criteria they are using.

@Maiku - Unfortunately no. I wasn't into the Disgaea (and by extension, the games that resembled it) series at that point in time and by the time I did get into it I was too late to find a reasonably priced copy of La Pucelle Tactics. I've heard good things though, so I'm definitely eager to play it.

@Jon: I'm just hearing about this voucher, my brother is using my net to download the DLC for Assassin's Creed III, so I'll wait until he heads home to see if I got it.

@Maiku: I've barely scratched the surface of the game, but I can tell that it's going to be fun. I also bought the first Sly game and GrimGrimore, so I'll be busy tonight.

Awakening is freaking fantastic! There are split upgrade trees like in SS, and
you can change class like in SD as well. As for new classes, there are a few,
like the Trickster and the Griffon Rider. I've got a hundred something hours on
it right now but I'm taking a break to play Etrian Odyssey IV :P Then it's back
to making a cheap Streetpass team.

It's been a while since the last post. I've started Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and it's a pretty fun game with a solid story line. Though, I am disappointed at the lack of battle spells I have at the moment, but the number of field spells is increasing, one of which is a blessing thanks to the distance between the towns. I also started playing the Sly Cooper series which is pretty fun and I wish I started playing earlier.
