Anybody other than me and I guess ICH, watching the current D.C. series? Things are like, all about Otome mostly? I don't get it's so short. And the beginning, Anzu had a small part with Yoshiyuki? What the heck!? Also, we saw JYUNICHI! Haha, I wanted to see Nemu! :3

Shiki should go with her, Instead of Hisui or any girl in the series! Though, I Kinda dislike Kohaku's Ending (Only one).. Sure, No Pointless death.. But the ending is kinda.. Well.. Lacking of Emotions If I May say (Unlike Hisui's True ending Which to my Oppinion, so far the Most emotion touching Ending I've ever seen in VN XD But I Don't have that many Knowledge on VN, so Yeah XD maybe it's just me)  |

@Renma: Ah, yeah, yeah... and as for Kohaku, i suppose she should go out with you, right? :) Curry-senpai.. lol :) Btw, as for emotional endings - so far i think that Akane's best ending in One was the best. Maybe some ending in Kanon, but it wasn't translated yet, so i can't know for sure :) I still haven't finished even one route of Tsukihime. In fact, i started, but still haven't finished: Tsukihime(no endings obtained) Utawarerumono(Finished about one third) FSN(Haven't even finished the first scenario) One(Only Nanase and Akane's routes) Wind Breath of Heart(Almost at the very beginning) I think the only game i finished with all endings is Castle Fantasia... well, and X-change series, but that's sorta too extreme :D @DA: As i mentioned, i'm still to watch D.C. I think i'll start downloading all those new series soon, like D.C, ef, Honey and Clover, Rozario, Noble Masters, True Tears, etc. |

@DA: Well, as i mentioned - i specialize in relatively old anime :) So maybe in several years :D Something like Video Girl Ai, Mamotte Shugogetten, Digi Charat Winter Garden, Marmalade Boy, or like recently Aoki Densetsu Shoot and Hungry Heart Wild Striker :) Although there is a drawing style i can't tolerate. As an example - Tenshi no Konamaiki... the plot looked more or less interesting and some guy had a familiar voice, but the main character, who's supposed to be beautiful was too scary to watch it :D Well, there's also an original Cutey Honey - it's even more terrible. Honey Flash i managed to tolerate... at least two episodes so far :) @Akiha: By Mobile - you mean for mobile phones? Well, it's probably japanese and my phone won't have enough guts in it to play it :) @SkyL: Yeah, i'm surprised myself... well, there are tons of romances with more and more coming every day, so why not? And if you came back - do you mean you'll join the conversation too? :) |

guess i'll drop in as well hahaha anyway anyone saw BOKURA GA ITA? @moggle is shugogetten gonna get any better? i mean im still pretty early in the story (shao's christmas experiences) and so far the episodes are either uninspired or cliche'd...im asking is would skipping it mean missing out on a great series? |

@ Moggle-san Sorry for the delay...but here is a quick sypnosis of those games that have translations available. There were quite abit of oldie titles that i haven't played or been so long don't have them anymore or remember them. Anyways i hope this will give you an idea of what to try. To really know about these game i suggest you visit the homepage of the makers, even though they are in japanese the visuals will give you an idea of what to expect from the games. *********************************************** A Happy Valentine - haven't played yet True Remembrance - haven't played yet Uta - Original version had no voice but there are patches now that include it. If you've seen the anime than the story of the game is similar. A pretty long game but if you can stand all the reading than a decent game to indulge yourself in. Ballad of an Evening Butterfly - haven't played yet One ~TRS~ - Unofficially a Key game but more of a Tactics game. An early work by Jun Maeda...lots of doujin games made from this series. Like all Key games heavy on storyline with memorable characters. Again lots of patches for the game. 40 Days & 40 Nights of Rain - haven't played yet The Noose - Haven't played yet Wind ~aboh~ - Well other than Key & Typemoon i think Minori does great work on their games. More well known nowadays for the ef series but Wind is a great game on itself. The anime does some justice to the game but playing the game is where its at. I highly recommend it! Tsukihime - It's Tsukihime!, It's Typemoon!...nuff said!!!! Shooting Star Hill, A Dream of Summer...etc. - Haven't played any of these yet Flood of Tears - Wow an oldie..... Red Shift - plain song - more oldies...haven't played them io - looks familiar but don't remember if i tried it before... Soremata & Narcissu - more that looks familiar but haven't played yet Castle Fantasia - Studio E.go! another one of my fave companies though lately there games have been letdowns. How i longed for another CF...there new one looks like it could be one. Anyways a nice RPG game similar to Disgaea or more like FFT. Worth trying cause of the beautiful art by Kazue Yamamoto-san!! Planetarian - Every one should recognize the main character from one of Key's smaller titles. A linear game more like a kinetic novel. Mostly reading with few interactions. Story is pretty gloomy kinda like BattleAngel Alita without the gore. Since its from Key highly recommended. Radical Dreamers - A sidestory or i think a prelude to Chrono Cross....read about this but haven't played it. This story is the premise to what will become Chrono Cross. ************************************************ Pia Carrot e Yokouso - Not sure which version of the game this is cause there are like a plethora of them. If you like girls in maid outfits this is definitely for you. A love story with multiple endings so quite abit of replay value. Shuffle! - C'mon it's Shuffle!...everyone should know about this! Fate/stay night - Likewise..... Kanon & CLANNAD & AIR - have you been living under a rock not to know these?! Men at Work! 2 - Another title from Studio E.go!, there are 4 of these games with the same name. The 2nd one is a decent game. Sort of RPGish with elements of a raising sim. Cross Channel - a school love game. Like most Flyingshine games it does get a bit violent at times. This is one of Flyingshines tamer titles. Saya no Uta - Speaking of graphic content. This vn has it! The main character is Saya a sort of loli 'whatchamacallit'...she can morth her appendages into sharp objects ala T-1000. Not for the weak of heart cause some of the CG are pretty 'ewwww' looking. ef ~tft~ - probably the most popular & recognizable of minori's games nowadays. Deep, engaging, emotional, if you've seen the anime than you know what to expect. In the process of the 2nd game which is just as good. School Days - You either love it or you hate it. There is usually no inbetween with this series famous for its 'graphic' endings of suicide & murder. Possibly containing the most despised 'main' character in the history of visual novels. Canvas 2 - another school love series in the same boat as other games like Da Capo, To Heart to name a few. Interesting characters, a good yet pretty linear story line. Fans of 'school love' harem will enjoy this. Higurashi - same as the popular anime series....didn't know there was a visual novel did you? Fortune Arterial - Released just a few months ago. From the makers of "Yoake Mae yori Ruri Iro na" & "Operation Sanctuary". This game follows the same setup as most vn. Reading text & often having to make a choice. Main plot is 'you' tansfers to a new school located on an island (alot of vn use this as a setting :P) but finds out one of yor classmates is a vampire!!! Oooooh....mostly comedy related & does contain some laughs. An anime version is highly possible. Tick! Tack! - for fans of Shuffle! & Nerine in particular. A side story that tells the origins of everyones' fave busty demon gal. Fans of other characters like Sia & Asa will be disappointed. Fans of Kaede has Really! Really? to indulge themselves with. Quartett - Very stylish character designs with a european flavor to them. It is more a work of art than an actual game. You'll enjoy the drawings but the story & game are equally enjoyable. However for those with an artistic taste...those seeking SEX will be left in the cold. THere are H-scenes but that is NOT the main aspect. Prism Ark - The game is far superior to the anime. The anime left out alot of material. The game is fun & has some cool effects. Story line is similar to the anime but you'll see more of the 'angels' in the game than in the anime. Kiminozo - The updated version contains better visuals & some animation. Overall the game is similar to the original. Anime is worth watching & the debate on who's to blame is ongoing. I have a soft spot for Mitsuki cause i understand her situation. I don't blame Haruka cause she's a victim of circumstance. I'm VERY shocked that Takayuki for the most part gets off scott-free even though his indecision is the main cause. *note* I have my feelings about Mitsuki & alot of you know how i feel about her being the cause of EVERYTHING. I guess you have to see the big picture to fully understand her. The game & the new OVA (vol.2) really shows her side of the story & if you still despise her than well......i don't get 'you' at all. Sensei Dai - Most games by Score are all comedy style & this is no exception. A lot of lolis are present in the game & it is a older brother love thing. Natsunone - The name sounds familiar...i need to see samples of the game to remember. ************************************ I'll give my take on the stuff you guys/gals are talking about after i read through the past posts. I'll try to be more active on this thread but lately i can only be online once a week on my days off which is today Friday. If i have the time i can log in at times at work. At home is nearly impossible since my IP provider has cut off my service cause of being over the limit. I seed alot of anime when i find the torrent & i often have my PC on for days on end which is why sometimes my internet is lost. A pain in the ass but i can't just switch services....or i can just be a leecher which i don't like being. Live by the sword, Die by the sword i guess.  |

@SkyL: Welcome back :) @Izumo: Yay, Izumo's back :D I feel that this club will be more interesting now :D Anyway, as for titles: Castle Fantasia 2 Uta(voice-patched) FSN(voice-patched) Tsukihime(i think it was voice-patched) Kagetsu Tohya One(Playing right now. Done with Akane and Rumi's routes) Wind(Started playing) Crescendo Planetarian(Have it but haven't even managed to run it properly :D) Those are games that i have. As for other games you named: True Remembrance - i know about this one Radical Dreamers - i know about this one... but i think it sucked :) Shuffle! - i think the translation isn't complete yet :( Kanon, Air, Clannad - Same as Shuffle! Men at Work 2 - awaiting translation to be done. Canvas 2 - i'm REALLY waiting for that one. The anime was really good... and i'm sorta a fan of Fujinami Tomoko :) Higurashi - awaiting... Tick Tack - awaiting as well... although i'm not sure if there's a translation project or not :) Kiminozo - really want it to be done. Aiming at Ayu and Haruka's arcs :) Well, those unnamed, but awaited: Princess Maker 4 (I think that's the translation i'm awaiting the most :D) Kujira (It's done, but it's not free :() Those that i want to play, but that doesn't even have a translation project: Mikokan MAW 1-4 Castle Fantasia 1-3 Fifth Series(especially Fifth Twin) Tottemo Pheromone (The only thing i know - this is supposed to be cute) Little my Maid(I think this one's cute too) Oh, and of course i want to play Sister Princess :) |

Yeah, translation is english patch :) Pretty obvious, isn't it? :D Well, i doubt my country's songs would get anywhere in the anime :D By the way, how come so many people played clannad, if the translation patch isn't done yet?! :) |

i just watched wind - a breath of heart only 3 episodes but the story reminds me of some classic rpg in ps1. i guess it would make a better anime if minori make 12 epsds

3 episodes? o.O You're making some kind of mistake i think. I have an uncomplete version of it and it has six episodes. I think there were 12 of them in fact. Maybe you're talking about some ova or something? |

However, the episode's 10 minutes long, so it counts as 6 episodes :D Well, if i remember correctly, the game should be pretty short too, so it's obvious they can't make long series, right? :) So far the storyline i played covers up to the middle of the second episode. I think i like the anime and game, although except for Hina there's no good characters in there :) |

@ Moggle-san , Aolas-san, Renma-san, Raiz-san & All i missed :P Anime talk Some comments on the anime series you are following at the moment, these are just my opinions & not to be taken into context. Everyone is different when enjoying a series. Mamotte Shugogetten - The first season i think is the better of the 2, the last season doesn't really give a conclusive ending. The character are cute & at times there are some funny moments. Overall: Season 1- 7/10 Season 2- 6.5/10 Final Approach - A very cute series, the main heroine Shizuka is delightful...that cannot be said for the hero Ryo. Not as bad as Makoto from SchoolDays but at times the attitude he has towards Shizuka is downright mean. He does show some improvement near the end which saves him from being a poor character. Shizuka is the main reason i enjoyed this series, her bubbly character is absolutely infectious. Her MIB guys are cool to! Overall: 7.5/10 Rizelmine - Have yet to see the series entirely but what little i did see was pretty cute. Unsure of the overall story so i can't really give my opinions on that. Overall: Pending? Tsukiyomi - If you love loli neko vampire gals than this is for you! Hazuki is just an adorable character! Just like Shizuka from Final Approach she is the main reason i watched the series. The storyline is decent but could've been better. There are some wonderful moments in the series which i will leave for you to find out. Overall: 7.5/10 I tend to leave series that have more than 24/26 episodes for each season. Anime's like One Piece, Bleach, Inu Yasha etc that seem to drag on forever i just don't have the time to watch over 100 episodes. I have to pick a series (or 2) to follow closely so i have to sacrifice others...some are agonizing cause i know they are good (like D.gray Man for example....*sigh*). As for yuri anime, i don't mind it at all. Besides one of my fave anime ever is Kannazuki no Miko. I love the character designs & the story of reincarnation & unrequited love. For me it doesn't matter if it is love between same sexes, as long as it is love it shouldn't matter what sex you are. Yes i'm a hopeless romantic....^___^! For Kiminozo, like i said i have my own thoughts about "hater's for Mitsuki", everyone has there own opinions. Although i tend to find the excuse to hate her on the weak side. Mostly cause how can Takayuki choose a 'slut' like Mitsuki & not a pure gal like Haruka. That excuse to me is just 'running away' from the fact. Of course Haruka is cute & stuff...but she's a victim of circumstance. Mitsuki took it upon herself to care for Takayuki when he couldn't take care of himself. She had feelings for him but sacrificed them so that her best friend Haruka can be with him. She knew Haruka liked Takayuki. If you saw the 2nd DVD of the new series than i hope all will understand what Mitsuki went through...she sacrificed alot, her love, her career (as a swimmer), her friendships. It was a beautiful moment when Mitsuki & Haruka made up after she confessed. There is more i can say about Mitsuki but at times it goes to deaf ears. Well if you play the game than you can choose the girls that you mentioned (for the animes that have games)....as for the animes themselves i have no complaints with where each series are headed in terms of girl of choice. Game talk I tend to stay away from english translations....i just find it unneccessary. I like the original versions of games, for me adding english translations i'm not used to. Besides playing the game in japanese is a decent way to learn the language. So i don't mind any voice patches at all. There are torrents available for a whole lot of games....i assume that is where everyone has gotten games like Clannad, Tsukihime, etc. I torrent very little games cause i like having the original box & often times there are special goodies included with these games that torrents don't have. The game of "Wind ~aboh~" is an average size game. Like many there are multiple endings to uncover which boost the replay value of them. Most game take me about a month to complete (playing it on & off...at least a few hours a day). So it may be short but it really didn't feel like it. |

He never asked for her after all :D Same with Rizelmine - main guy never asked for a wife :) As for Tsukiyomi, well, i'd say it's quite good, although sometimes, vampires' attitude's really annoying. Well, as for Kiminozo... i don't hate Mitsuki because of her actions or anything... it's just that she's annoying. As for her sacrificing everything. That's just her stupidity i'd say. I think love's not about sacrificing something. If you sacrifice everything - it just reminds me of some old plot, when someone's almost praying on the one he loves. Like Kaede in Shuffle! for example. They just get some kind of craziness to "obtain" the loved one. Anyway, as for Mitsuki - despite hating her, i do have some thanks for her, since otherwise, we wouldn't see a beautiful plot, right? :) Oh, and as for games - it may be easy in your country, but as for me - i don't have the possibility to obtain original boxes. They just doesn't exist here :D About multiple endings - i have to agree, but it's not always that all the characters are worth of aiming for. I'd say i hate glasses-type, so for example Wakaba from Wind won't be aimed for already :D Finally, about translation. I agree that playing untranslated version is better, but that's in case you understand at least a bit of language. In my case - i learned quite a lot of the words, but i don't know how to read it :) However, i'm planning of taking japanise lessons this autumn. |
