A question of 'survival' ^^ : How do I Identify that the PC I'm using has a download accelerator ? Since I'm forced to do all the typing in a Internet Cafe for the time being, and they do not allow you to dig through it . I'm in dire NEED to download songs but I fear being pawned for downloading songs with a download accelerator TT________TT !? |

Can you still read deleted messages? Which might be freely interpreted as "Can you still read that question i posted earlier to which i have found an answer by using the question itself?"... 1. i dont know. there are many different pieces of software out there. your safest bet is to use firefox and disable all 3rd party software (plugins/extensions). 2. yes i can read them. the forum search is very taxing on the server, and so it has been crippled to only search from the beginning of the title. a more efficient search feature is on my to-do list, but may prove impossible.

I've been away for a few weeks & i noticed some new rules regarding the profles. So i have a few questions about it before i change what i have... 1: It says no MP3s are allowed to play in the background....like a few others on the site does IMEEM count as well? Does Imeem still use your bandwidth even though it is hosted at another site? The same question applies to the Photobucket/Youtube videos as well. 2: As you may know the profile i made is pretty elaborate...what can i keep on it and what needs to be removed? Can i still use my own file sharing site to upload & share the music from the "games" i've played? Thanks Gendou-san...i just wanna know if i have to change anything (other than the auto play)..so i'll wait for your answers before i do. *bows*  |

1: The IMEEM has to go since it loads and plays automatically (it does not waste Gendou's bandwidth). The Photobucket/Youtube stuff is no problem since they don't load automatically, only when you click on them. 2: Just the IMEEM has to go, the rest seems to be all ok. Although you do use a lot of javascript for all that scrolling text and that will go slow on older computers.

i used imeem and it doesn't start automatically...cause it has the option at the main site to either play it automatically or play when the play button is click... |

@ kattdesu I was able to edit my post after a thread was locked since I made a mistake on someone's name. I do think that the thread maker also have the power to delete his own thread. So it's possible~~

Thanks Sheep-san for the info....sorry i didn't thank you earlier. Another question.... This has happened to me quite often lately....I can log in to Gendou using multiple computers. I have my desktop, my laptop & the one i use at work on occasion. The question is...is there a way to log out if the computer i was using suddenly dies on me....it happens when i use my desktop. On occasion the internet connection will be cut while i'm still logged in. Do i have to wait until the connection is back running to log out. Also like yesterday when i hear that the server died..but i was still logged in using the computer at work....so i couldn't log out there. I think that IP address is still active. That's why i think that you may see multiple IP adresses....sorry if it may cause any problems. |

you can login from as many computers as you want, just don't let anyone else use your account.

So stll being logged on with multiple computers (not on purpose) is not a problem unless someone else other than myself uses the account. Uhhh.....hopefully nobody at work realizes that...thanks for the info Gendou-san. Again sorry if it causes any problems what so ever. |

I was just going to point out that the reason that imeem will play automatically is because people want it to. Since that made no sense, I took a screen shot: So, as long as we don't click there, can we still use songs from imeem in our profiles?  |

@Eureka: Yeah, as long as it doesn't autoplay and go over the profile size limit. From the FAQ: Yes, but only MIDI files. MP3 files take up a lot of bandwidth and you are limited to 1MB of external content for your profile (that includes images, mp3s, etc.). Also, do not have any auto-start music or sounds on your profile, please. @Izumo: I'm always on multiple computers (currently home). When I'm at the family store, there are three computers I could use, depending on which is available, and then there's my PSP.... I haven't had any problems yet... Most of the time, I'm only on one (or a computer and PSP), but I sometimes am on two at once for awhile, mostly when I'm changing computers and I'd like to "Stay in chat" (lol). -------------------------------- Gendou. Have you ever considered using another "character" as representation of yourself (someone else in your avi, maybe different name), maybe just for change or confusion. ; ) And on that note, did you have any different name ideas for this site?
