even if i'm singing haruka kanata, namikaze satellite and seishyun kyousoukyoku everyday, and got really addicted to naruto and lately, prince of tennis, i'm not yet turning japanese and i don't think i would even when i get myself into foreign service.  |

I believe I am. I study Japanese culture, way of life(traditional and modern), history. I read books like "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Tale of the 47 Ronin". I listen to the music(anime, traditional and modern)As well as watching Anime and reading Manga, can't forget those.    |

lol..thundergod,i don't have to dream in being a japanese onna...coz i am one..well not born/raised there..but relate to my oojisan there....sumtimes he would call or message us back in Malaysia in japanese! Man, my dad really hates it...(he couldn't understand it)..so he would call me...coz im the only one whose currently learning japanese language..my sis doesn't really like the language and my brother just playing 'dunno'..lol...so i always translated it for him..... ps:can't believe sumthin' that i learn for fun can be useful...  ***anatawa bokuwa koibito.....zutto*** *-*i cut myself to know that im alive*-* |

| Uhm, what's with this thread? Same as firekunoichi, I also don't want to be offensive but this is getting a little obsessive. It's okay to love the japanese culture but to think one is turning Japanese just because they've become addicted to anime ond other things japanese, I think is little obsessive. Please get in touch with reality people, you are a native of where you were born. |

I agree with vector this tread is old and weak, people keep in mind that like any culture and race they also to have there short cummings. FOR to error is human. BE proud of who, what, and were ever you come from, then you will not have to hold on to anyones culture. OLD SAYING, those that do not know there own culture, are like weeds to be swept up into the wind. THIS is not a japaneese saying, I just hope everyone gets what im saying with this. KNOW your own culture

| I rather like my own culture and race, however, I WOULD like to visit Japan. It seems like a cool culture. Animes, mangas, and karate films are what got me interested in it in the first place. I think ppl over there are rather respectful...at least in my opinion. Also I agree with Taishi *like any culture and race they also to have there short cummings* Even tho i listen to k-pop/j-pop a little more than American music I don't think I'm turning into a Japanese. Can't say I haven't daydreamed of it before tho ^_^ |

I don't think the Japanese are the most imaginitave culture in the world, but people in their entertainment industry do know how to take ideas from other places and build upon them to create stories that become extremely popular.
Oh, how I wish I lived in Mr. Rogers neighborhood.

Well Japan sure is an interesting country with cool culture. I so want to go there someday and live there coz it's my dream!! but not being a japanese.. Im proud of my own nationality, culture and race. YAY! |

i'd love to have been born japanese. the anime and manga is too addicting. and the awesome culture. but i also like being african american and filipino. as much as i like japanese things, i like being me. one of these days i'm going to live in japan, but i'll never be japanese. and to me, that's alright.  |

Ah... if only I were a little bit Japanese... It would have been easier to fit in at all those manga and anime clubs at school! hehe, I stood out a bit... since I was was one of the only white people. But being Norwegian still rocks! ^^ Seriously, I know more Japanese than a lot of my Japanese friends! It's kind of funny. ^^ But I agree, living in Japan.... Ah.... how wonderful would that be, ne? ^^
