Yea I thought so. I heard that the 31 students are made from different anime characters in different shows.

Glad I only read the manga, not the anime itself tebayo~ O_o from what I've read through your comments, it's a good thing I've read the Love Hina manga together with Negima, since it's better than the anime version dattebayo~

For a person that has seen both, I say the series is interesting... Although... I am curious about the 2nd Negima Fundisk... I'm always up for a little game of D&D and all...

Say, speaking of that, was thinking up of one for Neverwinter Nights 2, I wonder what class would fit what Negima character? I guess we'll have mostly magic users...

@ hakuryu-kun

A fundisk is basically a whole bunch of mini-games...or in case of the 2nd disk ONE big mini-game (the game takes place during the school festival). The japanese do this sort of thing for many of their most popular titles. Although when they are released there are usually a very limited supply of them.

@ rurouni_kenshin no setsuna

Well...i was pondering about it for some time but i decided that since you've never seen your beloved Setsuna in a kimono i decided to help you there. Be back here tommorrow & about the same time i'll have something to show you...hopefully nothing will distract me too much.

For those who have the manga, check out vol 6 (or 4?) where the history of setsuna and konoka as children was being shown. You'll see that in one part, when the kid setsuna was arriving at the house of konoka, setsuna's sensei in swordsmanship was with her, and she looks exactly like motoko. ^^

@ hueco mundo
Well Secchan did attend the same training school Motoko did the Shinmei (did i spell that right?)....actually the character that also was present was Motoko's sister...the guy next to them i'm not sure who it is?

Okay Negima fans i have a treat for you guys....cause of a request & curiosity of what a Fundisk is i made a CD image of my fundisk...the 2nd one. The file is over 300MB so it may take some time to download. It's archived so you may need "WinRAR" or "WinACE" to extract it. When you do use either "Alcohol 120%" to mount it to a CD or even better use "Daemon tools". If you don't know what this is use Google to find it....

The CD image should work...i already tried it. The CD includes the next 10 mascots...so if you have both fundisks there should be 20 mascots in total. There are new clocks (SAYO!!!!) & a cool screensaver which i use (Running girls)...some wallpaper etc. The actual game is pretty self-explanatory....if you have questions feel free to PM or email me.

Okay here's the link to my file share site...remember it's a pretty big file so please be patient.

THe first Negima anime sucked rather bad, as it horribly botchered Akamatsu's storyline. The last few episodes were mildly interesting, because they went into a completely different and unexpected direction.

What I completely love are the Negima Special OVAs, and the new Negima!? series. New director, completely different storyline, but somehow very good. Nodoka has never been cuter. Only thing that miffs me about this one is that Asuna only has one eyecolor. I don't get the change. Otherwise, the hair and eyecolors in Negima!? actually match the one of the Manga, and don't go off into weird directions. The first Negima series changed a few colors.

All in all, I really love Negima!?.
Just don't expect it to hold true to the manga. Somehow, it resembles Pani Poni Dash quite a bit.

First of is your computer set to read japanese text.....judging by your "error" it doesn't seem to be. Remember the disk is set up to run in japanese windows. If you have windows XP its pretty easy to set it up to read japanese.

Windows XP part A: Setting the system locale to Japanese.

1 - In Windows® XP: Bring up the Regional and Language Options control panel. On the Languages tab, make sure 'Install files for East Asian Languages' is checked.
2 - Now, select the Advanced tab and set the Language for non-Unicode programs to Japanese.
3 - Now press OK. Press OK when prompted to reboot. Alternatively, you can set
Part B below before rebooting

Windows XP part B: Setting the user locale to Japanese

In many cases, setting just the system locale (Part A) to Japanese will be sufficient, but there are a number of Japanese applications that also require the user locale to be set to Japanese in order to run properly. In general, I recommend setting both so you don't have to worry about it. One thing you need to keep in mind about changing your user locale is that it also changes your default display for Numbers, Currency, Time, and Date to Japanese standards. This setting affects virtually all software you run on your computer. If you use a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel, etc) or a financial program (Quicken, etc), and you set your user locale to Japanese but fail to Customise the settings back to that to which you are accustomed, you may be surprised later when dates are displayed in Japanese order, yen symbols appear where you expect dollar signs, etc.

1 - In Windows® XP, bring up the Regional and Language Options control panel. Under the Standards and formats setting, set your time/date display settings to Japanese.
2 - You don't have to change the locale at the bottom

Windows XP part C: Entering text in Japanese
Parts A&B should be all you need to play games, but if you need to be able to enter text in Japanese.

1 - In Windows® XP, press the Details button on the Languages tab of the Regional and Language Options control panel and you will be presented with a screen where you can add input methods for all the languages Windows XP® supports.

Windows 2000 part A:

1- In Windows® 2000: Bring up the Regional Options control panel. On the bottom half of the window is a list of Language settings for the system. Scroll down through this list and make sure that 'Japanese' is checked on.
2 - Next, press the 'Set Default...' button at the bottom left, which will bring up the Select System Locale dialog box. Set this to 'Japanese' and press OK.
3 - Now press OK. Press OK when prompted to reboot. Alternatively, you can set Part B below before rebooting.

Windows 200 part B:
1 - (If you are using Windows® 2000, this setting is called 'Your locale,' located at the top of the 'General' tab on your Regional Options control panel.)

This should make the program work...sorry i forget to mention it. If you're still confused PM me so i can take screenshots of what you should do.
