I think samurai anime are better than all the real old movies. But I would like to recomend a couple for the heck of it. Seven Samurai, or just watch the anime version. I liked the anime better anyways. Yojimbo(my favorite of the old samurai movies) also has an anime version which I haven't seen. Hidden Fortress Rashomon Throne of Blood (japanese macbeth) Zatoichi(Seen the new one, haven't seen the old, new is my favorite though) I forgot the name of this last one, but there are two armies going at it and has a really good final battle scene. As for anime. Id go with Bleach, Inuyasha, Kenshin, Champloo. I'll start Kurogane after I finish Bleach. Didn't like Deeper Kyo. There aren't many other samurai animes. This Yaiba one I have heard about but don't think I'll be watching it anytime soon. Anybody know of any other samurai animes, not just the best ones.  Jomunga eats your avatars. |

lmaoz..lemur...u read mah mind... rurouni kenshin iz liek the grandpa of samurai animez...it pwnz!!! samurai deeper kyo was kinda liek a takeoff ov rurouni kenshin but was still pretty good to me...altho the endin sorta baffled me...

it has to be champloo all the way because its funny it curses (im not talkin bout darn or fudge-adds realism) and it has some comic relief to it

| I'd say rurouni kenshin is the best samurai anime ever, great story and the japanese history has been mixed in the anime pretty good. Next to that it has the best characters and supermoves |
