@Adel and Koy: I'm doing quite well! I'm in my sophomore year of College right now and I'm enjoying it so far. I have a wonderful GF who I've been with for close 2 9 months now. I've taken up playing the guitar and have been progressing as time goes by. Other than that, just same old same old haha! What about you guys?? hahaha we're not alone. all single together Adel Care to share? hope you feel better soon we often think of the worst too much. i kind of have problems with friends it's quite difficult for me in the sense that i get especially attached to my friends - its not always good cos theyre not always free and have time for me then i go crazy hahaha but it's weird cos at the same time i dont feel the need to have a girlfriend because i get enough love from my friends. such a difficult thing in life haha |

@ Oh! It--it has something to do with $$ and I got really scared when they inflate the price rate for a room. So now, it's solved! Nothing to worry about anymore ahahaha..(Sorry about the trouble m(_ _)m) Ah Ah.. I see I see Overly-attached friend, I see (ww!) I think it's common for people who attach to their friends. That's pretty normal upbringing? For most people, it's not Normal for someone to walk around alone. That's just sad (and that's a part of my life too but not that I care about anyway ww) So I thought of the same thing: I have my parents and I'm living perfectly fine. So hmm.. probably the thing I lack in life is real-life friends? Not sure how it feels like to have 'real' friends .. So..how does it feels like to have 'real' friends in life? (ww (⌒-⌒; )) |

@Adeline: in my case I never felt any different. On-line or real world ones, they all made me experience a whole lot emotions. However I must add that nothing would please me more than hugging those on-line ones :3 |

online friends can be real too one of my best friends now is online LOL i've never met him in person it's not too bad, i think it is important to have a common interest and a desire to be good friends although real life is better since you get physical interaction and share moments and laugh where online-ness cannot cater for. friends are friends, it's best if we don't try to categorise them, it messes up everything and confuses yourself. it makes you think too much about it where friendship should be something natural if it isn't something natural, it won't work anyway. |

Guess I'll get back in on the conversation here. Catching up from this post even though there are a few before that. But oh well XD Anyway, as for what's happening in my life, I just finished applying to the 5 colleges I like the most, so hopefully I'll end up going to one of them next year! Now it's just a matter of waiting for acceptance letters >> @ Kira- Congrats on the girlfriend! I have a boyfriend too but that doesn't mean I'm giving up on posting here either. XD @ Adeline- Honestly, I love having friends "in real life" as people say haha. I can do fun stuff with them, like hang out at the local bookstore or go to movies together or whatever. Both real life friends and online friends have a place in my mind, although if I had to say that if there's a difference between the two, then I value my real life friends more than those online. I mean, I've met them in person, I've had experiences with them, and we've actually talked and whatnot; as opposed to ones I just talk to on forums and such. Anyway, that's just my opinion. >>  |

@toyumi: how exciting, college life. What country are you in by the way, because 'college' means differently in different countries. Is it like university equivalent level? And yes, don't leave this place just because you have another half ;D And yeah, there are certainly drawbacks of online friends but it's good to have both. A lot of people don't enjoy non-physical interaction. Some of my good friends cannot stand texting me only and must meet up etc. But at the same time I have good online friends. @Adel: It can be hard for online friends to be accomodating to a person too. People (including me) often (regrettably) become a different person to online friends. I guess, it won't feel right unless you stay true to yourself (which is hard, I often unknowingly become a different person and I only realise it afterwards). Would you want to meet with online friends? |

Must be nice to have 'real life' friends (⌒-⌒; ) I'm starting to think that maybe I do 'have' experiences with 'real life friends'. I'm not too sure if we are really 'friends', but I happened to sit with the three of them together and we were having a very good time (well not sure about them , but I do) after the final exam. We chatted, we played, we laughed.. Hmm..I guess I'll never get that 'experience' again for my second time ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡ @I think.. I act differently when I was on the internet and when I was in real life. Yes! I want to meet them, I guess? Though I am still struggling on the inside because it feels like everything about me is going to expose and I feel uncomfortable about it orz I don't know what to react if I really meet them.. I feel that the lives that I've been trying to divide and manage will crumble into pieces (I've been really comfortable living with a 'dual' identity..so suddenly to merge it into one makes me feel uncomfortable as I have no idea how to react on them) I'm really not good explaining how I feel but it's really not a good feeling I have for it orz.. I'll try to overcome it anyway orz.. Wish me luck (ww)! |

Haven't been around here in a while. Still single though, so I'm still a member (for better or for worse. >.>). I pretty much just have one 'real life' friend. I have a few co-worker 'friends' that I like to talk to, but the only time we hang out is during staff get together moments. I honestly don't even know whether or not to say I have online friends. There are people here on the site that I regularly talk to that I see as being friends, but I don't want to be presumptuous and assume that they see me in the same way. @kay - I actually sort of prefer online friends in some ways. Most of my time these days is spent at one form of work or another, so it's easier to chat with friends online than it is to try and organize an outing.    |

Ok I finally got around to fixing my avatar it's meant to be an o. I hope it looks like one now D: @adel i'm scared to meet them too D: haha whatever I guess. Just take it as it is. I often think that because that we're internet friends I will never be anything more anyway and i don't know, it makes me feel sad that it's not possible to be good friends in real life. Often we live in different countries, it's not like we will ever get to live close to each other. @jonathan haha i get that too! i just feel so presumptuous, but perception is reality so just think what you want. whatever makes you happy. i often doubt the friendship of my internet friends for a second but then i remember that they are still talking to be and wanting to be friends so nothing is lost yet, so i should just stop thinking haha |
