I finally got it! My entry is LIFE by YUI sung by me. I CANNOT speak japanese so i might mispronunce some words or screw them up. I didnt put it on putfile since it didnt fit so I decided to put it on youtube but they dont upload audio files only so i had to compensate by putting a pic. Just ignore it. I hope this lives up to your expectations. Please offer some comments. Thanks |

Are you submitting this song for the auditions or is this just a demo? I'd prefer all songs for auditions to be sent in on the try out dates.

What a cool idea! I can't believe I didn't see this thread till now... Being a lyricist seems interesting too, so is composing music...maybe I'll get on that. Now then, @Real Kill, very nice demo! You've a very clear, sweet voice that works well for pop songs. I'll be interested to hear more! Pretty impressive too that you can't even speak Japanese, I think you did very well. -------------- As for some general advice to all vocalists, in the future, find your own style, it'll be interesting to hear a unique version of different songs. It'll be cool if the band has a flavor all it's own. I'm looking forward to many more! |

@DA: Okay, got it. But I'm wondering how to be a composer in the band, if there's nothing yet to compose? Is there gonna be an audition for that too? @Roq: Yeah I fully agree with you! Being original and singing in your own style is definitely better..and much more easier for the vocalist, instead of trying to copy the artist' style and voice. And I think, GenROCK will have original songs too, besides covering some anime songs. @Ryoko: Haha, yeah good luck with you too! Thanks. :D    |

People going for the staff/crew positions, well they'll be determined during auditions. Maybe the last week or so, or the auditions will be extended for the staff/crew while the people who made the band, can relax and just rest.

~_~ i don't think i'll have time to do my demos and auditions and stuff... and even if i did and i got in, i don't think i'll have enough time to keep up with the songs. so i guess...i won't enter? o.0 i know some people will kill me if i say this, hehe. sorry T_T |

Ryoko [no baka]:: Well, since I heard it already, don't use it as your audition. Just sing a new song, and add whatever you did to this [edited] demo, to your auditon, which you will submit on APRIL 1st. :D Also, listen up. I've been feeling down in the dumps lately. I've been working on the computer, doing stuff for school, etc., yeah, overally busy... like, Michiyo? Nah, not THAT hard working and busy like her, but yeah I'm going to be busy a bit. I'll be here and there, some days more, some days less or maybe not even at all... I'll be here April 1st though, which is... *flips calender* ...this Sunday. Anyways, good luck for the people who are participating. I'll have the thread made tomorrow or Saturday, the auditions thread I mean. I'll even make some simple boring judging system for the judges, or I'll make one and PM one to each of 'em. Anyways, I'm tired and I still have some things to do. ~later.

Shinta:: Dude, hardly anyone has made an effort to try out for the band so far. Sadly, it's been quiet. If you have a song to submit, PM it to me and Michiyo (just in case, it's good to have a copy somewhere around). I'll be using the computer a lot this weekend, so yeah I might not loose it so easily or doubt it anyways. Suzaku doesn't want to try out anymore, I forget why but let's not beg her to come. Anyone who can't be in the band or doesn't want to be in the band, I'll try my best to offer you a spot as a part of the Staff/Crew or something.

@DA: Yeah I can see that..anywayz, I've already been testing some sample recordings. I will send them during auditions..for the guitar and/or back up vocals. But yeah..it`s much better if there are others who are interested in this too. After I'm done with some samples, I will PM them to you and Michi if you want..I just have to finish them, when I have time. Oh, and yeah I know about Suzaku..I just wanted to hear her play piano and sing..not for the band, I just want to hear it. :D So far, no one seems to be trying out for the instruments...which is the main part of the band. >_> |
