@Izumo: Well, i'm playing it now and currently on episode four... well, i can go much further, but i'm mostly training characters right now(Mostly a magician and an archer, since they changed classes recently... man, magicians and especially archers in there are too cute :D). But yeah, i really laughed on nin-nin :D But i'm really displeased with Zenisky joining the party, i don't need such an ugly bull :D And as for best episodes - i think it's the one, where Mid-boss parodied Tuxedo Kamen... well, that guy's really amusing after all... Oh, when Flonne and Etna were swapped, that was funny too... Somehow, usually, switched personality/opposites of a character's a cuter or a better version of them... Like... other than Evil Flonne and Good Etna in Disgaea there is White Len in Tsukihime, which's EXTREMELY cute :)... then there is Sonozaki Shion, that's a cuter version of Mion, there is serious Rika, that has sorta cuter voice than original. Well, there are loads of examples... if they're not cuter, then they're cooler and so :) Man.. lemme think of them... Yu-Gi-Oh - Dark Yuugi Sailormoon - Evil Chibimoon Rental Magica - Itsuki without an eyepatch. Air Gear - Agito GetBackers - Thunder Emperor Yumeria - Nate Saiyuki - Saint Hermit Tsukihime - Nanaya Shiki Tsukihime - Red Arcueid DNA2 - Mega Playboy :D Higurashi - Rena LV5 Although that usually depends on person, for example i prefer original version of Corti in Polyphonica to adult one. Well, anyway, usually split or alternative personalities are better. Maybe most of people (like makers of the anime itself) may disagree with me :D |

Yeah, they didn't really have a major role at all. And I wanted to see Yume and Otome a lot more than I did in the anime, which was very little. Nanake was my favorite girl, too. I probably have a small love for Amakase as well. :3 The one episode where she was trapped on the roof during a heavy rain storm, and Sakurai found her was nice. That particular scene reminded me of the scene in D.C.S.S. where Kotori and Jyunichi had a special under the tree moment as well. I hope D.C.II.S.S. is longer, although I'm not really sure if it will be. ------- |

Man, too bad i can't join the conversation about D.C. since i never watched it :( Anyway, as i was saying about alternative versions - Disgaea gave me one more example - Flonne in her fallen angel form was quite cuter than in her angel form. Although her hair ornament and a part of clothing sorta reminded me of Nell from Atelier Iris 3, who's the main reason i played the game :) Anyway, the ending laugh of the anime was supreeme :) I doubt he'll stay in that form for long, considering his power :D |

@ DAngel-san I've read that the 2nd season of DC II will also be 13 or so episodes. So yeah we'll probably see almost the same thing. I was thinking about the length & i may have an idea. The original Da Capo actually had quite abit of sequels to the orginal game. There were 6 other games in total for the original or expanded from it. - Da Capo - Da Capo ~White Season~ (christmas) - Da Capo ~ + Situation~ - Da Capo ~ + Communication~ - Da Capo ~Summer Vacation~ (summer) - Da Capo ~ 4 Seasons ~ D.C.II Da Capo 2 only has the 2 releases so far...the original & the Spring Celebration sequel. Although some of the characters from both series as well as other titles from Circus star in fan disc games....the newest one being a poker game. Yes even ero-games are gettin into the whole texas hold'em craze. @ Moogle-san Yeah i do agree to some extent that the alternate version of some characters are often have better attitudes & characteristics than their original form. And for the most part they look MUCH cooler too. Tsukihime has multiple versions of almost all their characters...especially if you played Melty Blood. My fave character to use is Vermillion Akiha!!! The ending for the Disgaea anime is one you can get in the actual game....it's one of the so called 'bad endings'. I think you have to kill a certain amount of your party members before you reach the end (when u fight the Seraph)...the same scene occurs that Laharl sacrifices himself to save Flonne. He then turns into a prinny as in the anime. I agree i love the character designs in Disgaea (in all Nippon Icchi games)...they have this adorable look to them. My fave party members to create are the Archers, the Bushido & the female mages cause they look so cute! Especially when they scream out before you cast your spell..."Hai!!" The voice acting in both versions are also very well done....the english voice of Flonne i seem to like a tad more than the original japanese. ******************************************** Anyways saw the subbed version of the CLANNAD movie...although i already knew what was happening cause of experiences from the game it was still nice to actually really understand the concept of the film. One of the better adaptations to film that i've seen in a long time. Emotional & beautiful. Again look past the non KyotoAni animation.... A few more weeks until the release of the 2nd OVA for Kimi ga Nozomu Eien ~next season~....Mitsuki is on the cover so i figure she'll be the focal point in this episode. Can't WAIT!!!!! |

@Izumo: I heard it's some kind of altered version of bad ending. And yeah, that Hai! sound cute :) Although i wonder why they wear maid outfits... :D As for Melty Blood, my favorites are White Len, Nanaya and Kohaku... In White Len's case i like everything: her voice, her phrases and her appearance and especially her phrase at D, F, D, F, C. In Nanaya's case i like his phrases (Especially "Saa... korose aou"). And as for Kohaku, she's the strogest character for me, and her "Te-ya-ya" and "Yararemashita" are extremely cute as well as her "Moetsukiro!" :) Well, Red Arcueid's good as well... i mean some of her phrases. Satsuki's Arc Drive was pretty nice. As for Vermillion Akiha, i like her "Anata no chi... oishi ka shira?". In both Sion Tatari and Warachia's case i just love their Cut, cut, cut! Although i don't like Sion Tatari's screams. And of course Nrvnsqr Chaos :) In his case i like his "Shokuji no jikan da" and his "Deban da", as well as his dashing laugh :) I think that's the main advantage of Melty Blood - their voices :) Well, anyway, since the last time i posted, i've managed to finish watching Utawarerumono. In my list of watched anime i graded it 90 points. That's really high, since i only graded three anime with 100 points: Nanoha, Kanon 2002 and Flame of Recca. But well, kinda sad that Yuzuha died... although if i'm correct she survives in the game. Oh, another news - i started watching Wind Breath of Heart. Quite nice and funny anime, especially Tsutomu. This guy's similar to Sunohara from Clannad, a walking joke :) I sorta can't approve of Hikari's pessimistic thinking, but still her character's my favorite type, like Mai in Kanon or Yue in Negima. And of course the protagonist... if School Days had THIS Makoto, i think it'd be MUCH more enjoyable to watch :) Like his reacton when he first saw Minamo's bento :D Please... NO MITSUKI! |

[@Izumo] Aww, well that's just as lame as it gets. Those other endings seem interesting. Maybe we could see more, but more short season anime bum me out. D: You saw the 'subbed' version of the movie already? O.o` ------- |

Yeah, by the way, if i'm correct, Kiminozo Ova was planned to have four episodes. That means one episode for time of year? :) Those guys sure know how to make the pleasure last longer :D I wonder if anyone'll make other routes. I'm not sure about this, but i think in game there were Ayu route, Mayu route, Akane route and even a route for each of those nurses... Well, maybe not, i'm not sure :) Want take Ayu's route... if Ayu's that loud one... i always mistake those two :) Although, considering i remember the word Mayumayu, probably it IS her :D |

Heya all, I was just wondering what ppl think about how realistic romance anime and manga really is? Dont get me wrong, I love them all anyway but ive been watching half way into Ai Yori Aoshi and its just started sickening me with how putrid sweet it is, especially Aoi. Is there any anime out there deemed to be more realistic?? The reason I enjoyed Suzuka was because you could really see stuff like that happening in real life, oh and Nana's another one thats really good, if it can be classified as Romance.. so if anyone's seen a romance anime they thought to be good for the reason above i'd love to hear it :D

The only really realistic anime i saw, was Marmalade Boy :) As for Ai Yori Aoshi, i actually kinda like it... come to think of it, i'm on about middle of it as well right now. Well, actually without Tina to brighten the mood, the anime would be dull :) And of course Kaoru's a nice guy :) By the way, started watching yet another anime, that can be classified as a romance - Tenshi no Shippo. So far i saw four episodes and i can only say that it's funny and cute... although the number of characters kinda... Well, maybe first ToHeart can be considered realistic, if not for Multi... Canvas 2's realistic... at least i never saw anything that can't happen in real life in there. School Days are realistic if i'm correct... but i really recommend against it, if you don't need a shower of bad mood :D Futakoi... well, i guess not, such amount of twins is impossible :) Well, then i guess i'll make it a list. 1)Marmalade Boy - i found it really realistic... 2)Ai Yori Aoshi - Well, except for Tina's pink booze probably. I doubt such thing exists :D 3)Futakoi - Except for amount of twins 4)Aoki Densetsu Shoot! - If you're okay with sports anime. 5)School Days - If you haven't seen it... well, even if you haven't - don't watch it. 6)Winter Garden - No comments. Just watch it. 7)Canvas 2 - My recommendation. I suppose BlakBladeKnight'd support me here :D |

@ Moogle-san Was it four episodes...i always thought it was 3 when i read what wikipedia posted before the release. They might have changed it to 4. The 2nd episode is slated for a March 26 release while the 3rd is sometime in June....Age is also re-releasing an updated version of the game which will be released later this month as well. I think on March 25....i know it's on a friday cause most major game releases are on a friday. As for Ayu-Mayu (Yes Ayu is the loud blonde)...there are indeed scenarios for them in the game as well as the nurses 7 Akane....however the nurse endings are a tad disturbing. Basically Takayuki is tortured in one ending & becomes a love slave in another. The Ayu-Mayu ones are much better....more normal. Of course there is one good ending & one bad. There is an OVA that has Ayu-Mayu as the stars....it is very funny, often using SD versions of them in scenes. Almost every game by Age is incorporated into the OVA...from Kiminozo to all versions of Muv-Luv....the restaurant scene shown are parodies of scenes seen in Muv-Luv Alternative....dealing with the BETA. One title to look out for is the next installment of the ToHeart2 series...the game was released a few weeks ago while the new OVA based on the game will be out near the end of the month or early next. The game is a port of the PS2 version with added scenes (yes...those scenes)...& is basically the next semester for the characters. The OVA is called "To Heart 2 ~Another Days~" so look for it very soon. @ Kiazu-san If you want as close to real-life than i suggest Kiminozo (Rumbling Hearts)...there is no super powers, no magic, nothing out of this world. It deals with what happens after a tragic moment and the toll it takes on the characters involved. If you are looking for pure drama than Kiminozo is the one for you. If you want some aspects of "elements" than the choice posted by Moogle-san are all good. School Days....it is a little over the top but it does deal with real-life situations that is often too real. Titles like ToHeart & Canvas are your typical school life anime.... |

@Izumo: By Ayu and Mayu ovas you mean Ayumayu Gekijo? :) And man, i want to play Kiminozo now... Since other than Haruka there is two great characters: Ayu and Mayu :) Especially Ayu :) @Izumo and Kiazu-san: Don't forget about Marmalade Boy. If you need realistic anime - it's the best choise :) |

@ Moogle-san Yeah...Ayu-Mayu Gekijo is the OVA i was talking about....funny stuff right?! It was at least a taste of Muv Luv Alternative...as close to an animated series one can get until they decide to do it for real...we'll see. Well Marmalade Boy for me was an okay series...i guess since it wasn't based on a ero-game i didn't watch it as seriously as i should have. Maybe i'll take the time to watch it more closely the next time i see it. |

@kiazu realistic anime? what kind of realistic? the situations? or the theme it self? i agree with izumo try kimi ga nozumo eien(is that the right spelling? argh! rumbling hearts will do hahaha) or kare kano @moogle i was aboutto react on how marmalade boy be considered realistic since it involves a super smart jack of all trades male lead and is very ecchi when i realized i was thinking about GOLDEN BOY hahahaha @izumo nice sig but did i just some uh..."mammary glands" uh..bursting in the burst angel pic or was it just my imagination >.< ------------------------- btw i saw this cool character list on all type moon games http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4139/1163988042865nd0.jpg its a big pic but its kinda cool! it shows the character's relation in each series |

@ Z-san Ummm it's not your imagination...the Burst Angel pic does have Meg kinda 'bursting' out a bit XD I guess it was an intersting choice of pic i used eh? I remember seeing that pic before but didn't save it that time so i thank you for giving me another opportunity to do so. Yeah it is cool that all the games that Typemoon have made have some connection in one way or another to each other. All they need to complete the pic is to add the characters of Fate/Zero. @ Moogle-san If you want a good laugh & have some ideas of some of Age's other titles like Muv Luv you'll like the OVA. For the most part it is all the mis-adventures of Ayu-Mayu...the beginning scene when they announce they have their own OVA the other character laugh at them...unfortunately for them Ayu-Mayu extract some revenge on the poor saps. Unfortunately the name of that game escapes me....do you have a link or address to a picture of it. Maybe i already know but don't recall right off the top of my head. The name does sound familiar though. Do you remember the company that made it? |

@ Moggle-san Funny i've been calling you Moogle all this time...gomen nasai T__T! Anyways, Fifth Aile i do know. The company that made it was RUNE. Unfortunately i have't played it or know if there is an english patch or not. I do know it is a pretty old game released in 2004...i can tell cause i do have the OP & ED songs sung by KIRIKO (same gal that sings the OP to SchoolDays). Other than that i don't know much about it. Sorry i can't be more help. I checked & i also have the OP & ED to Fifth Twin as well, also sung by KIRIKO. |

@Izumo: Well, i don't mind moogle, since my name is wrongly written version of it... well, it was at first, and then it became like a normal nickname :) Actually you can also call me Mog(as some do), Mokona, Ferio, Kuro or Akikojam :) And forget about "san" - i'm not a fan of formalities :) Well, too bad about Fifth Twin/Aile... especially Twin... since i saw some screenshots and i can tell that it's a cute game... according to those screenshots it may be some strategy rpg as castle fantasia or just an rpg... Well, other than FIfth series i'm also interested in a game Little my maid... well, my nearest plans are to play Tsukihime(as soon as i'll think of a way to install the patch) and maybe Kanon(but the translation's not ready yet). Currently i'm playing Utawarerumono. As far i played Castle Fantasia 2 Renewal... and X-change series, since i remember playing them some time ago :) |

@ Moggle-san Still i feel awkward since i never even realized it. I guess i have Final Fantasy on the brain cause the release of Crisis Core is a few days away! Sorry i couldn't be more help regarding Fifth Twin & Aile. If you want i can do some homework for you so you can know a little more about it. It'll take me a few days to do that though. Get that translation patch working!!! Tsukihime is one of the most atmospheric visual novels i've ever played. Playing the game will expand on what the anime tried to tell. Although the anime did a good job with the story the game is the way to go. There is so much more about the story in the game. After you are done with Tsukihime try the semi-sequel Kagetsu Tohya that features Len < -- your favorite :) I don't think there is a translation patch for KANON, like some other titles there were groups working on it but i haven't heard much from them lately. I read in another forum that the patch was scrapped. Those are some good titles you are playing...both Uta & CF2 are good games. As you probably know there are patches for both games. There is also a voice patch for Uta since the original doesn't have any voices. If you are having a tough time finding it, again i'll look it up for you. If i remember correctly it is about 900MB. For me i'm only playing one game now...Notradamus from LIME (the sister company of Navel who did Shuffle!), the main reason i bought it is cause my fave artist AKIRA does the artwork. Loved her stuff (yes she's a she) since her days doing art for Cherrysoft, most of her stuff are pretty hardcore (H scenes mostly) but she also does lighter artwork. Notradamus is no exception. I waited a long time for her to re-surface. I'm waiting for a couple of titles that will be released in the near future. Kiminozo Latest Edition by Age - an updated version of the original game. Little Busters! EX - an updated version as well with new scenes & characters Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai - Navel's new game (link: Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai homepage Pretty huh? @Izumo: Don't bother about Fifth, since i suppose there's no translations anyway. I know most of the story from Melty Blood and from Melty Blood manga :) But i still want to play Tsukihime. Oh and i'd be really grateful for voice patch, since the lack of voices is hard on me :) Well, it's still better than how FSN looked like :) Oh, btw, found this recently: http://shii.org/translate/ There are quite a bit of translations. From already translated if you know anything good - tell me :) Well, except what i played of course :) |
