So after all the weeks Roxas and I came up with two original RP ideas, one will be introduced at a later time and the second will be introduced right now. "Strange rumors of fiction have been coming to life. In a town, during the winter, a strange snowstorm always comes. But when the storm stops, people disappears. Nobody remembers them and traces of their existence vanish. It is only rumored that shadows kidnap, cut, and devour souls lost within the storm. But old books hidden within the back of a library describe a warrior that once ate the hearts of those he killed to become stronger. Years after, he died and possessed a human who wanted revenge. The human in return succumbed to the spirit and continued to slaughter. This spirit has been named "Wentigo" by a shaman years later. However, contrary to this phenomenon, there are very few who remember and must confront the truth. Will you believe the truth even if it is a lie? We will not." Basically, a survival RP! What do you guys think of this?  |

Speaking of school killing RPing motivation, it's the same for me at the moment. Well, last week was really a crazy week, I had no warning at all and was just bombarded with schoolwork out of nowhere. This week won't be as hectic, but next week I'll be going on vacation (On the 31st, to be exact). I'll only be gone for a week, and I'll probably have the chance to post while I'm on vacation if need-be, so it's not that big of a deal (Plus I doubt there will be such a sudden surge of activity in the Pokemon RP while I'm away XD). Although, after I get back I'll be really busy with school again since I have two important exams coming up in May, so in short don't expect to see me around much until mid-May or so. >.> Then again, once I do get back here, I have a few ideas floating around in my head that I may or may not turn into RP's. I'm thinking of bringing back the school RP idea that I was working on awhile back before I dropped it, and I have two other RP ideas as well, one for a fantasy RP and another that's more along the lines of a fighting RP. Like I said before, nothing's a solid idea just yet, so I'll post again with more information in the future.  |

long time no see my friends... School and story writing killed my motivation for RPing for a while, but i am back. Seeing that no one posts on SoMI anymore i will scrap it. so, i will be open to if any of you need help making an RP good luck to everyone~!   |

Looks like the regios rp is a fail. I also haven't been on due to school work and the fact I was sick. I manage to come up with another rp idea. It is another one that is futuristic, two years in the future at most. I will update the details later. EDIT Ok here is the brief summary of the rp. In 2014, the planet went into a decline due to sudden natural disaster across the globe; Tsunami, Earthquake and Volcanoes. Many people had died and few survive. During this time, many believe that the world is at an end. Until, a light shines through from the sky; literally. The lost continent of Mu descends and showned itself after years of disappearance. People of earth who had survived, moved to the continent of Mu. It took about several months for Continent of Mu to look decent and safe enough for people to settle in. No sooner or later, the continent of Mu has been renamed. Technology went beyond what it was now. Few more years passed, the world has changed..the world now consists of the living Tower of Harmonics EOLIA and the Wings of Horus, a landmass connected to the lower portion of the Tower. Each section of the world above and below The Wings of Horus is designated with a specific name. The lower world is known to for its small towns and is not considered to be very technologically advanced. The upper world is very advanced, and the Floating City of Elemia is even considered to be a holy sanctuary by the Church of Sol Ciel from the lower world. The Tower exists at the center of the world and is made from technology that was available prior to the world-destroying catastrophe known as the Grathnode Inferia. There is little land left after the two catastrophes of the past, so people have become increasingly dependent on Harmonics EOLIA. The Tower functions much like a computer program, and is susceptible to viruses, which are emerging at an alarming rate to wreak havoc on both the upper and lower worlds. All these technologies are taken within the lost continent of Mu, when it first shown itself to the world again. But within the new land of Sol Ciel, creatures and animals of Mu evolve(When Mu had descended and appear, the land was already filled with trees, grass and animals.) This is the brief summary, I hadn't describe the enemy and the fighting technique yet, for I don't want to give away too much. So what do you think?  |

@Jon: I'm sorry for the delay with my post, but I've been bogged down by a lot of school-work lately, as well as an application for a summer program in which I'll be participating in a mock government from June 19th to 26th. It's a prestigious conference, since only two boys from each school are selected (the girl's had one of these earlier in the year so it's not sexist, haha), and it will be invaluable when applying for colleges, so I'm putting a lot of effort into it, haha. Also, speaking of this summer, I won't be around much at all. Starting May, I'll have a lot of exams I'll be taking, so my already limited activity will be limited even more. I'll be around for the beginning of June, but starting the 19th, I'll be gone for virtually the rest of my summer. At the start of July, my family and I are going to Las Vegas on vacation, then, soon after we get back from there, I should be heading to New York to look at colleges for potentially the rest of the month, and once I return from there, school will be around the corner with August, so I'll be preparing for my senior year. I just thought I'd tell you so far in advance, considering it's pretty much all layed out, just some dates are tentative. I'll be sure to tell you again when the time comes.

@Toyumi - I think the Pokemon RP works better that way. As long as it moves period, then I'm fine with the pace. I am glad that the cast has regrown to a respectable size. It was great RP'ing with only you, as I stated before, but having at least one other person really helps mix things up in terms of characterization, interactions and dialogue. And yes, please let us drop the 'originality versus convenience' debate once and for all. It didn't do any good the first time it cropped up and it didn't do any good this time. I am currently working on that White Knight Chronicles style RP and I had actually planned to launch it this week since I'm off of school, but I see that two or three RP's have just started so I'm going to hold off for the time being.    |

@ Roxas- Alright, just wanted to point that out about the RP. As for the Nicholas Flamel series, I've been in higher level History and English courses (Which brushes up on Mythology quite a bit) my whole life, I think I can handle some odd characters here and there. And if my education fails me, then there's always Wikipedia. XD @ Jon- Alright, I get what you're trying to say about the characters. I think it's time to drop this originality issue once and for all now. XD As for the Pokemon RP, it really is great that Fenris will be able to get back into it sooner or later, and that there are now have a decent amount of people in it. Although, I don't think it'll be moving any faster really, which I think is a good thing for the time-being. The same thing that you said to Grey applies for me as well, you might not see me post in the RP until weekends because of school. >.> |

@Toyumi - Not really. I reused almost the entire main cast of Gundam Seed/Gundam Seed Destiny in my Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: FATE RP, but they were not the main focus of the RP. They were relegated to side-characters and just used to serve the plot in some cases (or for filler. There was quite a bit of filler in that RP. >_>). It's all about how you use it. Also, I saw the post by Fenris about having been out for some time from Pokemon. It's good to know that he's still in this. I guess we'll have to act as though he has been with us the entire time, as I can't really think of a way to explain his absence up until now. Good news is that if he does come back, then we've managed to build the cast back up to a respectable 5 people. @Icarael - It's good to see you back into things. Hopefully you'll be around for a while. @Roxas - I never accused you of stealing an RP idea. I know that you had permission from Icarael to take over God Child. Actually, I recall saying that I would only join that RP if it had Icarael's blessing. EDIT: @Grey - I've been at work/school for the past few days. I'll get a chance to post again tomorrow. You're going to have to bear with me from time to time, because I get very little time on the computer during these kinds of days. |

@Grey: Wow, now that's a face I haven't seen for a while :) @Snake: Actually, details like engines and such were a bit troublesome, but I still wanted to use those characters, and needed a naval RP for that. As for SRW, you can use a Vehicle Type mech, that would be some kind of a smaller ship that doesn't have independance of a battleship (like, needs support with fuel and food), but can carry one or two robots. Basically, why I limited the amount of battleships - having everyone to stick with the two of them forces player interaction. It's no fun if everyone had their own battleship and travelled alone. So, as long as you don't have an independance, you can even have a giant flying boat or a train, like in a Galactic Railway :D |

@Roxas:Sorry for taking time,but I'm actually waiting for the rest to post at Oblivion(especially Mistress;since she said she got Bronchitis(and probably still suffering from it),she might take some time to post somehow.On the other hand,though,I'm planning to introduce the cargo truck guys firsthand,and possibly one of the military member as well,so hang in there,alright? ;) @moogle:Thanks for joining Battlestation once again.Honest speaking,it was one of the few RP with REAL lots of details(like,lots of ships' stat details and REAL LOADS of weaponry) and rather odd way of RPing(you don't just play the characters;you play the warships as well! XD).Not to mention,a complicated need of building your very own warships....And hey,a submarine to boot with!I do want to join your SRW RP at first,but Jon got the battleship spot already XP As of the originality,I would say this way:What you made is truly yours,no matter where you get your ideas from.I made my Battlestation RP based on my experience playing Battlestation Pacific(a PC game,Yamato FTW! XD) and Warship Gunner 2(I didn't know there's a good ship-based game in PS2!),then a few more from the RA3's ETRS(Empire of The Rising Sun).I never made a lot of RPs,but I can see how original a RP is.For example,Icarael's Immortal Machina is based off on Persona,thrown in with military stuffs and the need of "equipping" machinas. As a side notes,of all the military-based RPs I joined before,naval-based one(including the Battlestation RP) is the fewest seen,probably due to the lack of actions on sea battles(this is where Battlestation excels at).And soldiers(or should I say,sailors) exchanging gun fires aboard the ships?Not a chance,unless their ships are awfully close to each other.Then again,same goes to both animes and games.... I'll be posting soon enough,but until then,I'll keep waiting for few more days and see how things goes on... |

@ Zero- I don't really have anything to say about the idea, other than the fact that I'm not interested in it and I won't be joining it due to already being in 2 RP's (Which is the most that my schedule will allow for at the moment). @ Roxas- I have to agree with what Jon said about Free and Dream, that the reason we stayed in the RP for so long was because of the drama and relationships that were created in it. I loved reading and posting in the RP on a daily basis because of the bonds we created there. It was something that I looked forward to doing after school (And it was something that I daydreamed about in Geometry Freshman year so the last period of the day would go by faster XD). I love well-done romance and drama, and Vivian's relationship with Fenris was my ultimate getaway in that department. Not only that, but I enjoyed seeing the other relationships unfold in the RP as well, especially Vincent and Anke's. Like what Jon said, many things kept that RP going for as long as it did. But again, like what Jon said, I also don't think you can really say that you were a true part of it's success. You really weren't a part of the RP until a bit before it's second thread, right? And even then, your characters had minimal interaction with ours. Again, not to sound like a jerk, but it's just what happened. >.> As for what Frozen said to you awhile back, I wouldn't go that far, but I would like to see you put some personality into your characters. It gets kind of... Well, boring, to see people reuse characters from anime a lot (This doesn't just apply to you, but to other RPer's as well). Also, as a side note, I was interested in the Nicholas Flamel series you mentioned from the summary from your post awhile back, and I got the first book of the series the other day. XD @ Jon- Now, I have to disagree a bit with you in that last part of what you said there (Despite how much this topic has already been covered XD). If you use characters from other series for an RP about the same series, then wouldn't it be just like the series? I don't mind reusing concepts or settings for an RP, but if you're reusing the characters of the series for an RP based on the series, well... It seems kind of redundant to me, honestly. Also, I'll get to work on my next post in the Pokemon RP after I make a post in Every Planet We Reach is Dead. Hopefully it'll get done tonight, but if not then it'll definitely be done sometime tomorrow. @ Haseo- You are being way too serious about all of this. XD Although I do agree with you for the majority of what you said, minus taking it all so seriously. It is a problem, yes, but it's not that serious of a problem. XD @ Icarael- Welcome back! It's nice to know that you'll be frequenting Gendou RP's again. Now, with what you said about your own RP's, I have to disagree. Personally, I think it's fine when settings and terminology is reused, in fact, that can make things easier in some cases. What I personally don't like is when an RP's plot is basically taken from a series, or uses a ton of cliched gimmicks from other series in its plot, without any sort of originality in it. @ Massacre- I agree with just about everything you said. Most, if not all, RP's have some sort of spiritual parent just as you said, and RP's need a combination of both originality and non-original material. |

@Moggle - We are both ahead of the pack you know in Oblivion --'. I can't post until the others do or we are just gonna sit around and do nothing...I gave Snake a heck of a boost in my post to help him with his plans but he has not responded yet. @Icarael - Masterrrrrrr, yes it took me a bit of curiosity to notice. I was looking and wondering where you got the name for the Titan of Water and with the power of my GoogleFu I discovered that both RP's were from games. White Wolf's Scion in particular is like the influence for MMORPG's like City of Heroes and recently (and free to play!) DC Online. master, you forget to mention TvTropes too! I've seen how they mess with you there! huhuhu @John - I've never stolen an RP idea from anyone. God Child 2 was created by me with permission from my master (who is finally back in town ^^). I even made sure that all the former participants KNEW that I asked his permission already. As for character creation you are right on that. I just try but lack of time due to the utter ridiculous amount of projects I have is getting the way. But I HAVE created original characters before. Edit for Toyumi - Eh? I never said that I was responsible! That RP was one of the greatest and my praise for its longevity was for you and the other members you know =='. I know that I did not do much in it and I'm giving my praise and respect to YOU ALL who truely deserve it! *faceplant* lol, I already am starting book 4. Lets just say without a minor background of history and mythology you are gonna be lost when some characters pop up. |
