Anke l Cave Anke just silently watched as Vivian fell asleep. She could feel her own eyes becoming droopy but didn't want to fall asleep just yet. She got the feeling that Noctis really was going to see some dead people rise from the grave, and not by her hand either. The small silver anklet that was concealed under her gown was starting to grow warm. She casually slipped her ankle out from under the fabric and rubbed at the crest that hung from the little chain. For some reason on of her ancestors were trying to contact her. She could only image it was her father's doing. He was most defiantly trying to figure out where she was. With all her might she willed it not to appear, but in the end she knew it was out of her control. "Anke, stop resisting." The voice whispered in her head. Anke relented and lifted her hand from the crest. Standing in front of her was none other than Faustus himself. In all his ancient glory. "Dear Child, do you know what kind of a mess you've gotten yourself into?" He asked. He was speaking in German of course, and Anke hoped and prayed that Noctis did not speak the language. "I am perfectly aware, now if you don't mind you have probably succeeded in freaking my friend out." She said and glanced in the direction of the shadows. "Oh dear, I'm sorry. But the point is you need to return to the academy. Your family is terribly worried." "I'm grown now. I don't need constant supervision anymore." Anke protest, "but I'm not going to fight with you here." she said firmly. Still speaking in German. "I'll be alright. I promise. Now please go back to where you came from." Faustus just nodded, "Well it's not like I am your father." he said. Anke could just imagine her father stomping his foot on the ground and cursing, at the unpredictable nature of the eldest Faustus. As quickly as he came he was gone. Anke sighed and leaned back against the wall. "hehe sorry about that."  |

(@Ken - Spongebob has it's moment, and some of the lines are funny at any age. One of my favorite ones is when Mr. Krabs says, "Well, what doesn't kill you. . .usually succeeds in the second attempt.") [Forest] "That doesn't reassure me much. It's not like he would benefit from hiding his true identity. Not telling us who he is would have been just as suspicious as telling us. Not attacking us despite having the chance is also poor grounds for reassurance, because there's a large group of us and even out here it's still two against one. Regardless of his skill within that group of clowns we met back there, taking on those odds alone would not be a decision that reflects his apparent intelligence." Vincent walked over to a nearby tree and leaned against it. "If you want to trust his information however, then by all means go ahead. You and the others can come to a decision regarding it, I don't really care either way. I just want to know how exactly he came to know my name."    |

Aeon | Forest "So you're going to trust his information on how he knows who you are, but not on Alexanderson?" Aeon asked Vincent, then sighed. "Based on his actions his information is more likely to be true then false, but it doesn't mean we can blindly believe it, either." Aeon shifted and looked over his shoulder briefly to see if there was anyone else near them, before saying "Besides, depending on what exactly what the information is, I don't know if we should tell them." |

You see, unlike information that can be used to lead us in to a trap, lying about how he came to learn my name would serve him no use because it's merely my curiosity asking, there would be no actions that I could take based upon it. If I believe him and it turns out to be true, then fine, if it turns out not to be true then it's not as if he has gained anything from it, nor have I lost anything." |

[Forest] "Everybody in town is dead." the man suddenly said "I killed them.You can think of the information I gave you however you want.I am merely saying that there is nobody living there because I just took care of them earlier." He looked at Vincent and laughed "It should be obvious why I know you.Everybody in the group does,seeing as you were trained by Selen Vinland herself.You were built to join us." "I can assure you I will not tell Alexanderson I have seen you here because I still have other towns to raze before I can go back to HQ.But rest assured,I will tell him when I can." he said as he turned and started to walk northward "Try and stop me if you can." [Noctis Lucis Caelum|Cave|1:00AM] Noctis was frozen at the sight of a spirit.He didn't understand the language,but he knew the voice was hollow. "I'll look for some wood shall I?" he said as he left the cave in search of wood.  |

[Forest] Vincent laughed with a genuine smile on his face as the stranger left. "Let me guess, she told you that right? Sure, she taught me a thing or two, but she had been taking care of me for years, she was rusty when I started training, not to mention she died shortly afterward. Want to know one big thing she taught me? Never learn everything you know from one person, because if you do, there will always be one person out there who can beat you." He turned and started back towards the cave. "I want to thank you though. Everything makes perfect sense now, right down to the first time I talked to that guy." The smile had left his face completely as he directed his attention to Aeon. "It's up to you and the others about what we should do next. I have a lot of things to consider now." 'A lot of things to think about, including which side is better aligned with my ideals.' he thought to himself. |

Aeon | Forest "So much for not taking actions based on what he said" Aeon teased, "but I hope that was the answer you were looking for, because he gave us nothing otherwise." "So Alexanderson is causing problems for the north? He's trying to provoke a war? Or is he responding?" Aeon sighed and turned towards the man who had already started to walk away. Aeon quickly wiped some blood on his arm and teleported in front of the man who was walking away. He quickly asked "What's the point of Alexanderson starting a war? What does he want?" He was prepared to stand firm to get an answer. |

Fenris [Cave] Fenris had covered sleeping Vivian with his travel cloak made from thick wolf fur and had made ready to get some sleep himself. It was then when Anke got unannounced visitor, one of the elder Faustus' by the looks of it. Fenris could understand little about what they were speaking, but the language spoken by this ghost was old and he couldn't quite catch his part of the conversation. Fenris: So this was one of the elders of your family, quite a sight I must admit. It seems our little group is surrounded by spirits, both human and wolf. Fenris smiled at Anke. Fenris: Well I'll be going to sleep now, goodnight Anke. Fenris lay down and soon fell asleep.   |

Anke l Cave Anke was a bit annoyed by her 'unexpected' visitor, but it was soon washed out with exhaustion. Noctis had left, obviously a little freaked by the strange appearance. "So this was one of the elders of your family, quite a sight I must admit. It seems our little group is surrounded by spirits, both human and wolf." Fenris said, Anke just nodded and replied in a small voice "Yes, you could say that. But I couldn't call my family members human." She prayed Fenris hadn't heard the part about not being human. "Well I'll be going to sleep now, goodnight Anke." he said. "Good night Fenris." Anke replied. She fell asleep instantly, worrying about Vincent and the others that had gone outside. |

[Forest] The man just stood there facing Aeon,one of his silver hair came out of the hood. "I have already said my part.Saying anymore would ruin the fun." he simply said as he snapped his finger and he was struck with red lightning and was gone. "You might wanna go back,seeing as your friends are surrounded by Cold Ones." his voice echoed in the woods [Noctis Lucis Caelum|Shiroyuki|Cave Entrance|1:25AM] Noctis was standing in the shadows when Shiroyuki came out and was brushing off some snow. "Dang,I need to find a better way to travel." he said as he shook his head and saw Noctis. "Well,seems like the town is deserted.Bunch of dead bodies,like we saw on the road to here." he simply said but with a note of urgency in his voice. "What's wrong?" Noctis asked him as he saw something was not right. "Well nothing,except that there are Dead people slowly creeping towards us." Shiroyuki said as he held up a severed head.It was decaying even if the area was cold Noctis sighed and laughed a bit. "Yeah,of all the places we had to go,this is where we had to go." he said and rushed towards the Cave. "Yo,people! Wake up! We're leaving a bit earlier than expected!" Noctis shouted as he grabbed his cloak from the corner. "We've got a bunch of visitors." Shiroyuki said as he tossed the head in the flames. "And they're cranky." he added as he looked around "Where's Vincent and Aeon?!" he asked them |

(@Ken - I can finally see your avy again. Are you still hosting on photobucket?) [Forest] Vincent shrugged off Aeon's remark as he began to jump forwards, moving quickly back towards the cave. "Those guys are a nuisance, every single one of them. If you aren't listening to them stroke their egos you're dealing with their petty threats." He made one final jump up over the tree line, spotting the cave below him. [Cave] ""Where's Vincent and Aeon?!"" Vincent landed on the ground and drew the Phantom, walking towards the entrance he began to cut through the walking corpses in his way. "I'm here, I'm here. Aeon's on his way, he's just finishing up the chat we were having with a new friend." He looked around, watching as one of the bodies he had cut down crawl over and grip his leg. "This is it? Calling them the 'Cold Ones' made them sound like they were actually a threat. More show-boating from that guy I guess." he said as he swung his sword and created a shockwave that wiped out the remaining portion of body that was holding him. |

[Cave][1:30 AM] "Yo,people! Wake up! We're leaving a bit earlier than expected!" Noctis shouted into the cave. Vivian jolted awake at the order. She groggly looked around and saw the Anke and Fenris had fallen asleep as well. She hoped that they heard Noctis' orders as well, and did not sleep through them. "We've got a bunch of visitors." Shiroyuki said as he tossed the head in the flames. Vivian did not know what they meant by 'visitors' but she hurried to wake up as well. She noticed the cloak that was on her, made of some sort of animal fur. Must be Fenris', she thought. She picked up Picasso from the ground, and went over to where her friends were sleeping. "Anke, Fenris, wake up. We have to go now." She said, waking them up a bit more gently than Noctis had. She gave Fenris his cloak. "Thank you." Vivian said to him. She was blushing a little bit as she thanked him.  |

Aeon | Forest Aeon blinked a few times after the strange man with the answers teleported away. "Bloody teleporters!" Aeon yelled to no one in particular before teleporting to the cave. Arriving in front of the cave, he saw that Vincent had already started to battle the undead. Looking around at the large number of slow moving undead Aeon commented "I know just the spell for this" as he started to gather magical energy. |

Anke Anke shook awake. She had just fallen asleep too, but that voice calling her name couldn't be ignored. She shivered. "Whey do I get the feeling the dead are walking?" she asked, feeling a strange sort of presence coming from the direction of the village. She furrowed her brow and tried to pick up any of her family members near by, but she was far to exhausted to pick up on anything. "I guess Noctis was right about his earlier premonition. I'm sorry you had to deal with the dead so much tonight." Anke whispered. Shuddering as a cold wind hit her skin and caused goose bumps to spread over her bare skin. |

Fenris [Cave] Fenris had only slept for a moment when he was woken up by Vivian. Vivian gave his cloak back. Vivian:"Thank you." Fenris noticed that she was blushing a bit. Fenris took the cloak and put it back on his shoulders. Fenris: I hope you slept well, the little we got to sleep anyway. Fenris noticed Anle being upset about something, then he heard her whisper. Anke: "I guess Noctis was right about his earlier premonition. I'm sorry you had to deal with the dead so much tonight." Fenris: Cold ones? Well, good thing I know just how to deal with them. Fenris hefted his hammer from his back and started walking towards the cave's entrance. Fenris: Hammers and such are the best weapons to be used against the cold ones as it tends to shatter them all over the place, making them unable to reconstuct themselves. Fire works too and ice oddly enough, frozen bones are quite brittle. As Fenris looked out of the cave he took in the situation outside Noctis, Shiroyuki and Vincent were engaging the Cold ones on close combat while Aeon was gathering energy for some kind of spell. Fenris: Hey, swordmen use the blunt edges they work better against these. Fenris then went on to prove his point by smashing several of the Cold ones to pieces witha a single mighty sweep from his hammer. He then stood his ground standing in single spot smashing any Cold one that came within reach of his hammer. |

Anke "Fenris NO!" Anke shouted trying to run forward in time to reach his hands. It was too late, she watched in horror as the hammer came down on the Cold One with a sickening squashing sound. Anke sighed, Fenris really would never know just how angry that could make a cold one. "Well Fenris, I'm not going to question where you ran into Cold One's before. But I think I may want to warn you that the power behind the Cold One's is not meant to be dealt with by brute strength. You MUST use delicate magic when dealing with them." "But you must have just been lucky. That or they were at the hands of a very weak necromancer. These ones however won't die so easily. They were just killed within the past twenty four hours. See you can still see what color eyes they had." Anke reached down and picked up an eyeball that had rolled to her feet. She let go if it when it started to twitch between her gloved fingers. "These one's however seem to be the fault of someone much more skilled." She sighed and rubbed a knot out of the back of her neck. She watched as the smashed up pieces of the Cold One began to worm it's way back into a whole being. "Look, I know you are powerful and all, and I appreciate you more than you know, but please. Let me handle this one." She said sweetly. She stepped in front of Fenris. Raised her hands out in front of her and said a funny incantation under her breath. The cold ones stopped in their tracks. "If you smash their skeletons they become zombies and will destroy everything in their wake. As long as their skeletons are in tact they will only hunt the ones they have been set upon. Being us." Anke dropped her arms, "They will not fully obey me, but I can forcefully hold them off as I'm dong now. However the ones you have smashed will need to be taken care of." Anke took out the Vajara. She didn't really understand why she felt the need to explain her actions, but continued to do so anyway. "Using this to cut them will also cut off the magic sewn into their dead flesh." She reached down and cut off the corpse's head. Then handed the Vajara to Fenris. "Use this for the time being. Once everyone is round up I'll hold them off long enough for you all to make an escape. Then I can meet up with you." Anke just prayed her heart could take all of the stress it was about to go through. ((OC: I added Anke's brother's profile to my first post. She went to a page in Picasso, and then raised her own arms and said a few words. Soon enough, a small fire had appeared in front of her. However, to both her friends and the Cold One's this was not a small fire. This was a very large fire, which surrounded them, and was hot and looked very much like a real fire. Vivian had used the spell "Fire Shadow", which created a small and real fire in her eyes, yet in anyone else's eyes it was a large fire, that almost seemed like a huge forest fire. However, the Cold Ones backed off from the "fire", and were closer together in one big mass in the middle of the ring of "fire" that surrounded them. "Go through the fire to reach them, it's fake." Vivian said to her friends. She then turned to Anke. "I am not leaving without you. All the others can leave, but not me. I'm going to stay with you until you are done with what you need to do here." She whispered to her. |

Anke l Just outside the Cave "Thanks you Vivian, but there isn't much I can do. For now I'll only be able to stop them by holding the skeletons still." Anke glanced in the direction of Fenris to whom she had handed of the Vajara. "Until I figure out who is behind this, I can't do anything at all. The technique used to control the cold ones is advanced and uses a lot of energy. Energy I just don't have at the moment." "Nice fire by the way." she commented, "Even if it is fake it is HUGE!" |

Aeon | Just outside the cave Aeon was still gathering energy. This was one of the two spells he knew worked well against the undead. It was also one of the few draconic spells he had learned back when he still lived with his family. He was glad Anke held the Cold Ones still, his spell would be devastating to their opponents if that was the case. "Just a little more time" Aeon thought. He hated spells that required a lot of energy, but this one was going to be worth it. He smiled in anticipation. |

[Cave] Vincent continued to walk through the slow moving horde, cutting bodies in half and throwing out shockwaves from the Phantom to vaporize the remains. "I can't stress my distaste of magic enough. It can be such a nuisance." He passed through the mirage of fire as he made as way to the group. He stopped beside Vivian and Anke, sticking his sword into the ground so that he could stretch his arms and back. "Shouldn't be much longer you two. Aeon seems to be charging up something fierce over there, and we can handle any stragglers." He looked to Anke and whispered. "Stop what you're doing when you feel you're about to hit your limit. No need to push yourself so hard against a few empty husks." He then turned his attention towards Vivian. "And you should make sure she follows that advice. Somebody has to look out for her after all." He took his sword out and flicked the snow off of the tip before sheathing it. "And it's not like I'm a role model when it comes to not endangering oneself." |
