I saw the final episode, pretty emotional but the graduation definitely surprised me.
Kanade's character had more "energy" and Yuri was more girlish, which makes her much cuter.

I honestly thought throughout the series, Yuri would go for Otonashi,
but I guess Kanade was the one who ended up with him, I honestly didn't expect that.
I originally though he'd "adopt" her in place of his beloved little sister from the real world he came from.

And yeah, I have similar questions as Sky about where they go when they leave that world.
I totally saw Otonashi wanting to stay though, after everyone left to save the upcoming people who enter the world.
Since that last part showed him in the real world, I guess he just left, too.

Curious to see how that ended up, but yeah, the ending was a bit confusing cause things just happened randomly to me.

The anime was good, but honestly I prefer other Key VN anime adapted work, but still pretty descent.
One of the biggest things that came from this anime though is GirlsDeMo, who are an AWESOME group.

My name is Tigerfire, I would like to join, and favorite Key character is Kanade Tachibana. I finished Angel Beats like an hour ago and loved it. The ending was absolutely perfect and I'm so glad Kanade and Otonashi met again, and that Otonashi picked her over Yurippe. That was great! My Key ranking goes
1. Angel Beats!
2. Kanon
3. Clannad
4. Air
5. Clannd ~after story~
That's it, because I never played Little Busters! or Planetarian Chiisana Hoshi no Yume. I wonder if their new game, Kud Wafter, will be an anime. I hope Little Busters and Rewrite get animated.

Suzumiya Haruhi rules!(LITERALLY) Kanade Tachibana is my waifu~!

Here's the op theme for Key's upcoming new visual novel, 「Rewrite」

Title: Phylosophyz
Artist: 水谷瑠奈 / Mizutani Runa (NanosizeMir)

Can't wait for its release!! (o^_^o)
gotta hurry completing that Kud Wafter to get my hands on Rewrite's trial version~

btw, they're not releasing R-18 version, so it's gonna be compatible for all ages just like Clannad.

Sorry everyone for not being online for awhile, had to do some maintenance on the old (stress OLD) home PC so didn't get the chance to do anything for a week or 2. I could use the PS3 browser or the work PC but i took a week off work to help around the house, you know painting this & that, moving this, moving that the usual stuff of being a home owner.

Anyways back for now so time to catch up on things.

@ Ken-san
Thanks for posting the new trailer for ReWrite!! It looks fantastic so far & the song is really good too. Mizutani Runa not sure if i heard that name before in all my years playing VNs. She may be a newcomer that Jun Maeda-san & comp. seem to find out of nowhere & make a name for themselves. Interesting that the song is not written by Maeda-san, i know he has a minor role in the ReWrite project but i hope he will contribute a few songs for it. Nice to see Orito-san back in the game since his last involvement was for Little Busters!.

Atashi wordpress has tranlated the song (pretty quick) and i like the words for the song. Like all songs for Key projects they are quite deep so looking forward to the release of the OP theme later this year i believe.

Anyways i've yet to play Kud cause i have to wait til next week for the release of Oretsuba. Too bad the site i ordered them from didn't have individual shipping.....arghhh the wait is excrutiating! BTW have you tried the ReWrite demo yet? If so what do you think so far?

*************************
Some small info for Angel Beats! The OST was released a couple of days ago, i probably get my copy tommorrow in the mail. Can't wait to hear the music & see if it will rival/challenge CLANNAD as my alltime fave OST. So far nothing has come close to that pretigeous crown, however after watching & listening to the anime it may actually come close to that.

Recieved the first copy of the DVD for Angel Beats! quite some time ago. What is cool about it is there is a music sheet for both the opening & ending songs for the series. If anyone would like to know how to play My Soul & Brave Song on an instrument feel free to let me know in any way & i will scan copies for you.

For now all is quiet on the Angel Beats! front until probably when the last volume of the DVD is released with that unaired episode packaged in it.

>>>Izumo-san

Otsukaresama desu^^ Looks like you've had hard time this past few weeks ;P

The demo version of Rewrite was great. (better than Kud Wafter, actually) The comedy part was funny, characters were interesting, and the bgm was beautiful. I can say that Romeo have done a good job directing this upcoming series. I wasn't much worried though, since Romeo already proved his talent with his masterpieces, which are all part of the best visual novel games that I've played so far. (I especially love CROSS†CHANNEL, Kazoku Keikaku, and Kana Imouto)

I've seen the AB! OST at niconico and it was quite funny^^

Is the Keep the Beats album worth looking into? If it's just instrumental stuff, might not bother,
but I will however check out the OST, it had some pretty nice songs throughout the anime.

@ DAngel-san
There are 2 versions of 'Keep the Beats' a vocal one & an instrumental one. To tell them apart the instrumental one is officially called 'Keep the Beats - Band Score'. Both of them are worth picking up but if you are not that into instrumentals than the vocal one is a definite pick up. All the songs in the anime are present as well as some unreleased tracks. They are mostly sung by Yui ala LISA though.

Posted this in another thread about a question if there will be more GirlDeMo...

Well currently there is a tour going on in Japan that has Lisa & the GirlDeMo band performing at various locations. The first date was August 3rd at ELL (Electric Lady Land) & the last will be at Shibuya AX.

I had a feeling that Key & Jun Maeda-san will bring us more GirlDeMo to promote the series even further the same they did with other series from them. Remember there were like 15 CDs based on the CLANNAD series alone. Also from my knowledge a singer associated with any Key franchise will usually have their careers take off like it did with LIA, Eufonius, & to a lesser degree Rita who is more known for her VN works.

Here is a link to Key's main page that promotes the concert tour as well as info about the times & locations for said tour. Also on the site is a new PV for an unreleased song for GirlDeMo feat. Lisa called 'Day Game'.

BUMP

Wow time for a quick update on all things Key.

The Angel Beats! special episodes were released with the last volume of the DVD & it was pretty interesting to say the least. One was the usual slap-stick hilarious episode that made no sense at all, but the other one is the one worth talking about. Even though it was really short that showed more intrigue than the full episode. Looks like Otonashi has stayed behind & is watching over the world to guide new comers....it also appears he is waitin for somebody. Is it Tenshi or Yurripe that he is waiting for....i wonder.

The release date for Rewrite (the latest visual novel from Key) has been announced for April 28th, 2011. The opening single will be released in 26 days, January 28th, 2011. Looking forward to where Rewrite will end up on the Key masterpiece scale.

When more details on anything Key is revealed be sure to stop by here for the latest.

Thanks for the continued support!

I'd like to join!
my favorite character has kanade from Angel Beats!
Angel Beats is a totoal masterpiece although I would have to say it was a bit short. Although, I can't choose my absolute favorite between Angel Beats and Clannad.

@ JC-san
Well it really isn't a new VN since it was announced last year but it is called 'Rewrite'. It was just the release date that was announced that i was posting just in case some of you may want to pick it up. It is an all ages VN just like the first edition of Little Busters, they may release an adult version at a later time.

@ DAngel-san
The concert tour is over by now cause it was mainly a summer thing for last year. Sweet! lol, it's been so long I've forgotten "last time"... XD

Hmm, so basically it's a different live concert CD at least.
You'd think something so fan popular would be good concert material.

I'll send you a PM for some info! Thanks.

And yes, Lia did two of my favorite songs from her recently live! yes!

I've sent you a PM regarding the latest KSL live tour CD, hope you enjoy it. Something about a live japanese crowd that is into it just sounds funny..."hey hey hey hey hey"

The Lia live songs are of course really good, she does live performances quite good. Lisa is adorable during her set of songs, she likes saying 'Arigato' alot :P. It is rare to hear Eufonius live & i like Riya alot, she does a great job too. In fact all the live performances are overall enjoyable. I hope you share the same feelings when you eventually get to listen to them.

Oh hell yeah, thanks so much (again ;P). I had to rename the actual song titles though since they displayed those weird characters on iTunes.
And I just labeled all the artists as Key sounds Label like the first album so yeah.

Quite a long album, but so awesome. Some encores too which was nice.
Everything was great, man I'm telling you, I've loved Lia so much for years now!
It's sad she's heavily underrated outside of the whole visual novel world of music, she's extremely talented and quite a beauty still.
I tried to youtube her live and people only upped the song with a live screen cap it seems, wtf. I want to see this concert live. ><;;

I didn't listen to it entirely yet, skimmed through it a few parts,
but one of my favorite songs on it was Dango Daikazoku live, the entire crowd said along, so lovely.
lol, a entire crowd of guys probably singing along to such a cute song sung live from probably a cute girl (who I can't see live). :O

I'm sad Lisa didn't sing Rain Song live, but she was also great live.
A lot of artists from the previous live album were here of course and re-sung songs from that album, also good.
The songs from Clannad were good and the ending to Angel Beats! was also nice as well.

@ DAngel-san
Yeah no worries, i kept them in the original kanji names but when i transfered them over to my mp3 player i used the romaji names. To lazy to rename them all :P

Lia is great! She has been doing this for years now & she is still as good now as she was then. She never states her age on her website but i believe she's now in her 30s now, last year she announced she was in fact married & has a kid now too!! Crushing the dreams of many fanboys....

Chata is adorable (the photos i've seen of her confirm that), everyone knows Dango now so not suprised it is very popular. I believe the last album has a pic of her, if you have that too she's the one with the glasses. This link has a few pics of her http://www.last.fm/music/Chata/+images. Hard to imagine she is also in her 30s!!!!

I wished Lisa sang Ichiban cause all we heard from her live so far are her upbeat songs. Hearing her sing something slower like Ichiban would be really nice.

I loved the last album but this one is that much more enjoyable cause there was more variety since more titles were covered. Almost the entire Key library of games were covered minus the smaller titles like Planetarian.

Once the new game is released in a few months i expect we'll get to hear another album like this one too.

Re: Key Fanclub *Lisa Concert Vids & Rewrite releases*

Yeah that's true, but wasn't the last one released in 2008? So really a year and a half or so since a new release came out.

Hopefully they can release LIVE FOOTAGE!

Oh yeah, I've seen Chata before (forget where... lol) but I think it was live, too. Probably another song.

Hmm, Lia married? Wouldn't be surprised really, I do expect her to be in her 30s.
Not saying she looks old, she's friggin' gorgeous and rocking it, but she looks like she's in her 30s.
Sometimes though, female J-POP singers can look like 18 and end up looking 28 or even 39. Very deceiving sometimes.

lol, broken hearts of fanboys. They still love her though! >_<;;
