Yeah, you said it. /high5sAlex I'm not sure of the date yet, but a friend of mines is hosting a huge Halloween party sometime this weekend or next week. Although, a ton of people are going to be cosplaying instead of the traditional "dressing up with costumes" and whatnot. My cousin and two of our best friends are getting together to form the SOS-Dan again! XD I won't be dressing up really, although somehow, I end up in something. I might dress like those Kei rockers in Japan or something, since a few of my friends who dress like that are coming. Dang, those guys are cool! XDXD And also, instead of distributing candy at the door, I'll be eating that and all the other candy as well. /nee~ XP We're also having another party as well, but it's like Thanksgiving or something, since it's mostly family (and our two friends and a few more maybe, who knows). We're eating stuff that we would almost eat on Thanksgiving, too, so it's kind of weird but whatever. ^_~` I hope I can go this year like I did last year, and I have a new camera as well (just bought the memory card today and it can take 550+ pics). I better chill back on the candy though, cause last year I nearly threw up on everyone since I was acting all crazy and hyper (really, lol).

Speaking about contests, you guys know about Anime-cons and Expos, right? If any of you guys have Comcast, go on Demand > The Cutting Edge > Anime selects > Expos. Well, I don't remember it clearly, even though I was just downstairs just now before typing this. But, if you guys can and do have Comcast, go find the "ASOS something" clip, and watch it. Truthfully, it's kind of boring, but there's a group of three Japanese girls that does the 'Hare Hare Yukai' dance on stage. The girls who played Mikuru and Yuki are Japanese for sure, but I'm not so sure about the girl who played as Haruhi. They had a female reporter or so, and she was definitely Japanese (her skirt was like, a foot above her knees). The girl who played Haruhi spoke kind of weird, almost like a younger kid who didn't know much about the series (she spoke in English, btw). Well, it sounded like it to me, but check out the girl who played Yuki, she is FRIGGIN', OMFG is she HOT! At first I thought I recognized her, cause she looks like one of my best friends (just difference in the hair). Geez, it's like love at first site or something, really... /starryeyes~ The really pretty girl who played Mikuru, had a pretty nice maid cosplay on. One thing that bothered me though, is someone brought up or some 'fan' asked a question about why 'Mikuru's' hair wasn't purple. Now, it's not she wanted Mikuru's hair in the anime to be purple, she was talking to the Japanese girl who was playing Mikuru on stage, and her hair was brown. They either asked the wrong character, since Mikuru's hair is brown or they forgot who Yuki was in the anime (cause her hair is around purple [in general]). Man, I've seen a lot of pretty Yuki cosplayers, phew! *wipes sweat from face* [@Alex] Ah, I wouldn't say Goto Yuko is ugly, not at all. But I do prefer Chihara Minori the best out of the three. Then kawaii Hirano Aya, and Goto Yuko last. OH! During that clip with the 'Hare Hare Yukai' dance with the hot Yuki and pretty Mikuru, I saw some short clips about the dub. Hmmm, must've mis-read somewhere before and thought Cynthia Martinez was going to dub Haruhi's voice. Well, can't say for sure her dubbed voice is horrible and whatnot, but it's a LOT different than what I expected before... Ah well, I prefer Aya Hirano anyday of the year. ^_~` [@Luiz] Open up a can of whoop455 on 'em! XD

Hehe, so many replies in a few days. I coudlnt post anything cause I had a lot of schoolwork. But Im here again. I want to live by myself... first thing Im doing when I do get my own place is get a top notch net connection. In fact, if I can find a place that offers fiber optic connections, Ill take that. Thanks for the info, I have seen some of the youtube clips. It looks interesting, but Mikuru's seiyuu is well... kinda ugly. =_= I might still d/l it when I finish what Im currently on. I wish there was an anime shop nearby... I get all my stuff from online stores or rarely a dvd or two from Circuit City or Best Buy. I hope there is a new season, but what I am looking forward to is the PS2 game. If I have a job when it comes out, Ill buy the version that comes with the Haruhi figurine. Its supposed to come out on December, right?

@ Sai: Yeah, bkno9 just said what i meant... Well, it's not impossible, but it's just really really hard....and since it's so well known and loved by basically everyone, wouldn't is be hard to sing it in a way that your audience likes it? i dunno. maybe the biggest reason is it's too high for me :P |

Sweet, maybe someone can sub it after all! a.f.k. maybe? I think they're the official subbers of Suzumiya overall, plus they're one of the best. But anyone will do, as long as they have the basics down for subbing. I like the fancy stuff sometimes but Gekisou should definitely have it since it's a 'concert'. XD I don't want to brag about my speed, although it's not that slow yet at the same time, not the fastest thing in the world. If I'm dLing anime I get around a 90 kb/s connection, which is pretty good for just browsing the internet and stuff. I'm talking to my dad about upgrading it, or asking some people to install a better and much faster version of my internet on my sister's computer (since I share her internet with a Wireless Connection). If I get what I want soon, hopefully, my speed will at least be 5-7 times faster! For torrents (with my current speed), it usually gets around to 90 as well. But torrents are different then ddLing, cause you need certain stuff for ddLing (although if the dL is slow for ddLing, then yeah, it could be similar). It only takes a few minutes to a little over then a few minutes to get to my usual speed. But like I said before, I don't really use the computer while dLing any type of torrents since I'll be away from the computer or sleeping (cause the waiting is boring!).

@DA Mmm, i'm not really sure if it's out on dvd, but some of the torrents i see said "dvd rip" so i assume there's a dvd for it :P Umm, update. Actually i'm doing some research while typing this, and there's plenty of results concerning the dvd, so i guess it exists! And you see, if i'm lucky, the fastest dl rate i can get is around 15kbps... I believe it's slow compared to you guys? |

If you haven't done so already, you can introduce yourself to the family here by creating a new thread. [@Zpart] Thanks for clearing what I just stated above my message to you here. I was reading a bit of it last night or this morning, but didn't have time left to post and was worried someone would be ignored. >;3 Since we're all talking about t-shirts relating to Haruhi and Haruhiism, why don't you guys make some sample t-shirt designs and post 'em here. If they're too large, please use imageshack.com or thumbnail 'em yourself. You should already know what's too large, so please keep this in mind. ^_^ [@Sai] Well for me, that's the fastest it can go if I leave my computer on overnight, restart it in the morning, and leave it on while I'm going to school. I hate using torrents while I'm actually using the internet, cause everything is so slow, so I use torrents when I'm away of the computer. Me and my computer are good buddies, so I make sure he gets some rest as well. dLing something overnight, rather it be anime or some game, I make sure it doesn't work too much and that it gets plenty of rest afterwards. He probably sighs of relief after the entire process is done. XD Is Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou out on DVD already? I haven't done any researching on this information yet. I only know a RAW torrent of the entire concert is released onto the internet. Also one last thing, how fast is your internet? How many kbs do you get per second? When I get older, my internet speeds should get faster as well, or maybe it's just I'm spoiled and want everything for my own benefits. XD The classic orange head band that Haruhi wears all the time is pretty common to get. My cousin and two of her friends have one (one of 'em made it) and they have the 'Summer' uniforms as well (they cosplayed once for fun). It's not like the cheap cosplay ones you usually find over the internet either, these are really high class. They have pictures of them, too, all three of 'em standing in a group. I took the picture of the three, and after that there were like 20 with me in 'em. ;P /faints~ And this was a while back, and I think I mentioned this somewhere before. Maybe it was earlier that I told you guys a bit about that here, but yeah they looked so good when they dyed their hair... seriously, and it was just mid-tone/light brown!! @.@`

A 'toyhouse' was on display.. it was actually the SOS-Dan club room, complete with Mikuru in maid uniform and Yuki reading a book XD Too bad I din have a camera at hand.. but then again I think the shop owner would bar me from taking pics anyway XD

I still listen to god knows too... But i thought the popularity had died down in the public, it's been a year after all. But i guess it still rocks even now >:D @DA & bkno Well, 1 1/2 days is actually fast enough... I might have to spend an entire month for it you know T_T and i'm not the kind that keeps the computer on all day, so it might take even longer... Damn maybe i'll have to check the anime store around here and see if they have the dvd... Buying it would be less troublesome! @suzaku hee, now when you say it, i got curious... Why is that song impossible? I wanna hear a real singer's opinion... :D |

welcome to haruhism akbar...though there's a intorduce yourself section here for well...introductions haruhi t-shirts?! man i would love one! well ther is an anime shop here that make anime related merchandise (shirts,bags posters) but mostly naruto and bleach...maybe they'll have a SOS brigade shirt hahhaah @kei then why not find a shop that does custom made shirt and have a haruhi themed t-shirt...im planning to have one made hahaha @xnyuki! yeah clannad rocks!hahahaha gotta watch ep 3!hahaha @huy i think they were talking about a haruhi musical thing and a haruhi shirt..i think >.< |

Aya's songs from the first season are still pretty popular. I listen to them in my mp3 player every now and then anyways, and here on my computer as well. Good luck with singing 'God Knows...' at that concert, Luiz~ Hope you do well and try to get first place to give this club some light. ^_^ What kind of Haruhiism T-Shirt are you going to get? [@Sai] Yeah, that is a lot. Anything close to a gig now for me, is long. It'll only take a few overnight dLs and during the day (when I'm off in school) dLs to finish it with my current connction. Although it might be a piece of cake once I get my internet upgraded (damnit, hurry up father!). I'd make a Haruhi/Haruhiism related shirt, but I just don't wait it being an image on the front or back. Although it's really impossible to find a Haruhi/Haruhiism shirt if it was made under Aero or Hollister, something like that.
