You have control. -------------------------------------------------------- Excellen would be looking down, daydreaming while Miranda would be talking to Ezio on her shoulder. There was a large commotion inside the house, but Excellen didn't really listen. She was not really interested in anything in the world. Melancholy. It was the only thing Excellen was capable of, at the moment. But it seemed she needed to follow Miranda again, when the little boy on her shoulder smiled.  |

[Magnolia Town - Mayor's House] Shortly after a while shouting,a man appeared out from the house,and in a odd way,signals them to come inside. Snake:No way.....That guy just let us in like that? Hiryu:Well,either way,let's go inside... Later,as they come inside the house,a man said to Hiryu,"I assume that this was the man you 'offered some stuff' to follow you, Ezio? I admit is unexpected to see you here, how have you been, former Lucine legendary general as well as my comrade in arms, Hiryu 'Raiden Reaper' Valentine?" Snake and Alisa:!!! Hiryu:Howdy,pardner.It's been a long while,Malvin... *pats Malvin's shoulder,then sends a small amount of electricity on him* Snake:O-Otto-san!What in the....! Hiryu:*laughs* That's my way of greeting.But no worries,it's only a tiny amount... Alisa:But it looks like he took more than just tiny amount.... Hiryu:Oh,shimata.I've forgotten about his water element.... Snake:Aah,dang poor guy(Both water and electric elements were natural enemies after all ;P)....Oh,hey,where's that kid you're talking about? [ Arden Wingshadow - Magnolia Town / Mayor House ] It took the group a full day to reach Magnolia, Arden doesn't pay any attention to anything around him except to Ezio, and Liel's injuries. Arden was quite pissed off hearing that Ezio dropped the payment he promised to Arden. Arden : "Kid, after all we've been through, you dropped it? Really?" Arden thinks for a while before he continues. Arden : "You know kid, I'll go, at least after all that stuff I got some loot. But mind you, that thing of yours better worth the trouble." Arden observes carefully anything that happened around him. It seems that there will be an addition to the group. Malvinder's little sister Wendy, and someone else that Ezio mentioned. "Another kid... well at least she's not a burden, she could heal." And then that someone who Ezio mentioned appears. He was a former general to Lucine, Hiryu Valentine. And he brought his kids as well, Snake and Alisa. Who will also join him. "Okay... a former military general and his two kids, I must've admit he doesn't look like a dad at all, were they adopted?" Hiryu : "I presume you guys are the one who were brought together by this lad,yes?" Arden : "Yeah, We're with the kid alright... The name's Arden... Arden Wingshadow. So, we're going to work together now... Make sure you could keep up."  |

@All - I'm back to post once again. Unfortunately (at least for this RP) I'll now be gone for another week in May for a national competition. More on that when the time comes though. @Snake - Can you point me to where you have your character profiles? I can't seem to find them in your post history. Also, with an Avirian character, please keep in mind the limitations on abilities and knowledge (of Avira). Due to my new plot direction, I'm going to have to state a reason for your character not having much knowledge of Avira, which I'll come up with when the time comes. For now, in order to prevent holes in logic, try to limit your character talking about Avira (at the very least, please do not have her mention life there. There's a big plot related thing behind that). I'm going to go back and edit my previous post as well. I assume that Icarael still wants to join, although I haven't received confirmation back from him yet. [Magnolia Town - Mayor's House] "I gotta side with Arden on this. The payment better be well worth the effort we're putting in, especially considering that Liel almost got flattened." She bent over in front of Ezio to meet him face to face. "Also, our payment comes before anyone else you hire on. I hope you keep that in mind as you're running around hiring on more and more mercs." She huffed a bit as the matter seemed to be settled for the time being. "Anyway, now that Liel is all back in shape, we should start making plans to head for Imelda. I'm getting pretty tired of this little field trip, so I'd really like to just collect on that payment and get back to safer work, like exploring guarded ancient ruins in extreme disrepair. Let's get this side-show back on the road." Ezio was smiling throughout the entire discussion, pleased with the fact that everyone still seemed willing to accompany him back to Imelda. The other people he had hired for the journey had also arrived, despite his fears that they wouldn't take him seriously about the offer. He froze upon hearing about the girl from Avira however. He looked to her instantly and kept his focus fixed. 'She's from Avira too? They didn't say that before. She hasn't talked about it either. Why not?'    |

[Malvinder Leonheart][Lucine - Magnolia Town - Mavis Vermilion's Home] As Hiryuu patted Malvin's shoulder something nagged at the back of his head. At the very last second he remembered something very important. Malvin: "ARRGGHHHH!" Malvin snarled in pain as Snake sent a small amount of electricity that coursed through him. Hiryuu was electric, he was water. They don't mix well amongst allies... It may have seem like a small amount for Snake but the effect was in reality tripled for Malvin. When Hiryuu moved his arm post haste Malvin was left literary smoking. Porlyusica cackled at him as Wendy was stunned at hearing him roar in pain. Normally he would have kicked Hiryuu's ass but as he was in Mavis's home he simply gave him a filthy glare and moved next to Laxus who snickered at the smoke coming from him. Nearby, Liel also made a rather dangerous mistake, "Wow, now that's a lot of potions to take! I think skipping won't hurt..." Porlyusica in a split second grabbed Liel's ear and gave a sharp turn as she gave a death glare to the younger girl. Porlyusica: "I do not care if you are from Lucine, Usha, Imelda, or even Avira, but as you are MY patient little girl, you WILL comply with your healer's orders! Do I make my self clear!" Miranda huffed at the scene as she spoke, "Anyway, now that Liel is all back in shape, we should start making plans to head for Imelda. I promised I would join this RP, and here I am. Now, to make my profile. Name: Ser Richter Rivers, alias Lord Blacksteel Age: 36 Gender: Male Nationality: Daedalos Status: Freelance sellsword, formerly of the "Shining Swords" company Weapon: A master-work sword with runes on the hilt and pommel (see here for the appearance). Shortly after he received his honors, his real father came to the town, taking him in as part of his personal retinue and revealing himself as Richter's father. Though Richter's life at his father's city was comfortable and he received a noble's education, he was treated by most of his peers as trash. So he dedicated himself to beating them at their own game. And he succeeded: he was knighted ahead of his peers. However, his cordial relationship with his father ended. During one of Daedalos' wars against the biggest bandit groups, he heard his hometown was under attack. He offered to send a regiment there himself, but his father countermanded the order. By the time he was able to go to the town, it had been burned down and its people had been put to the sword. His father seemed not to be concerned with this, and some of the knights in his service even considered his choice to be the right one. Disgusted at such callousness, Richter ran away from home, taking his father's sword with him and vowing never to return. He became a mercenary and took the name "Lord Blacksteel" to disguise himself, in case there were people looking for him. * - Combat Traits system, adapted from the Crossover RP by "H", with permission from Jonathan. @All - My exams finish up tomorrow, so I'll have more time to post (At least until I leave on a trip in mid-May). @Icarael - I've already kind of set up your character to be introduced as someone else that Ezio hired. There will be an opportunity for you to join in now after this post. @Snake - Alright, I took a look over the profiles again. The only thing I have to warn you about is that Avirian character that you are referencing as being a captain of an airship. I'll send you a PM about it once this post is made since I don't want to really spoil anything. Suffice it to say that with the new direction I'm taking the plot, you will end up having little to no control over what that character does with their ship. [Magnolia Town - Mayor's House] Ezio snapped back to his usually self when Snake questioned his reasons for going to Imelda. "That's easy. I have to go back so I can find your payment. I lost it when some of the people here helped me escape." At the same time, one of the other girls approached him and introduced herself. Ezio responded the best he could and introduced himself as well, but was becoming flustered by the sudden focus placed on him. He heard Malvin talk about transports, so he once again piped up. "Actually, I did that too. The other person I talked to said he could transport us there. It's not that far after all." Miranda raised an eyebrow at Ezio's comment. He seemed to be hiring on a large number of people, and she wasn't convinced that the payment he was promising would be enough to cover everything. "Kid, are you positive that this stuff you are promising us will really pay for all of this help? I've got my doubts that a rugrat like you is really that loaded." Ezio nodded once again without hesitation. He seemed certain of the value of the material that he had offered. "Yep. I remember my father saying that Avira gives people just about anything they want for even the smallest amount." "Is that so. . .that does sound pretty good when I think about it." Miranda hoisted him up by his shirt again and looked back to the others. "Well, let's get going. Plenty of time to sleep in the transports, so we might as well get an early start." [Magnolia Town - Edge of Town] The group quickly made their preparations and later met near the edge of the town. The transports were already present, but the stranger that Ezio had hired for them was nowhere to be found. Miranda had made herself comfortable on one of the seats, laying down across it with her head hanging off of the edge. Before leaving the Mayor's House, she had finally removed the main bandages from her torso and was once again donning her usual sleeveless red robe. Ezio was standing just off to the side of her and watched her as she was looking at him upside down. "So where is this guy? Why would he just leave these things unattended?" Although she was looking at him upside down, she noticed that Ezio was not quite looking at her in the eye. "Kid!" Ezio once again snapped out of his daze and offered a barely comprehensible response. "Uh. . .wh-what's wrong? Yes?" Miranda smiled in a way that compensated for the fact she was upside down, instead producing a scowling look. "You've been spacing out a lot lately. Not only that, but ever since I started tagging along you've been giving me weird looks. Do I remind you of your little girlfriend back on Avira or something?" Ezio was embarrassed that someone had noticed the fact that he often lost focus and became unresponsive. Despite this, his response sounded more defensive than usual. "It-it's not that! I mean-. . . I just get lost in thought a lot. That's all." |

(As I mentioned, my character's weapon drains his stamina fast, so he's more tired than the others, with maybe exception of Liel, who's in even worse condition, if I'm correct. Also, Y U NO wake up my character?) [Magnolia Town - Mayor's House(outside)] After barely getting any sleep, Ryuu heard the group leaving below. Ryuu: Sigh, never the time to rest. Saying that, he jumped down from the roof he was at and followed the others. Ryuu: I hope you don't plan to do battle soon, I don't have any energy left, thanks to Requiem, so I'm just moving on willpower alone... well, not anymore, but that wasn't much of a rest I got. As they were leaving, Ryuu did something inside his coat's inner pocket. [Magnolia Town - Edge of Town] As the group reached the edge of town, Halion and Helion were already waiting there. Ryuu: You two done with the preparations? Helion: Y-yes. Ready to go anytime. Ryuu: It appears there's some rush. If I heard correct, something about the kid dropping reward somewhere. Well, nothing to do with me, but if the team decides we're in hurry, why not? Ryuu listened to conversation between Miranda and Ezio about Ezio being unfocused. Ryuu: Well, I guess we'll know the real reason behind going to Imelda when we get there. If this reason lives, I can fix that easily, if needed. Halion: Ara-ara... Ryuu-sama is as simple as always. Ryuu: Haha, well, I doubt there'll be something this team can't handle there, so where's the reason to worry? And it's not like I have something urgent to do, so I don't mind a side-trip or two... Though it doesn't appear to be the case for the others... |

[Liel Vanguard] [Magnolia Town - Mayor's House] While Liel was quietly watching the conversations taking place, the healer from before grabbed one of her ears. She simply groaned in pain, as the elderly woman gave her lecture to Liel. "Argh, what's the big deal..? Back in my hometown, I hardly ever got medicines for physical wounds..." Liel massaged her ear, while thinking back. Shortly after Arden introduced himself to the Valentine trio, Miranda decided that everyone should get up and running. Ezio was pleased that everyone still willingly to accompany him back to Imelda. "Hmm, maybe after this, perhaps I should reconsider going back to my old job..." [Magnolia Town - Edge of Town] With her weapon and shield gone, packing for the journey back to Imelda is much easier for Liel. Even though her wounds were completely healed, Liel still felt a bit weaker than before. Arriving at the edge of the town where they were supposed to meet, the person that Ezio hired for transportation was nowhere to be seen with, although the transports are ready and prepped with. Miranda just helped herself into one of the transports with Ezio, and picked a seat. Liel soon follow suit, and slumped into the comfy seats, after putting her luggage beside her. "So where is this guy? Why would he just leave these things unattended?" "Yeah, I'm wondering about that too..." Liel replied to Miranda's comment. On the other side, there is Ryuu and his two female companions, waiting as well. Before Liel tries to catch forty winks, she noticed Ezio's and Miranda's conversation, and cannot help but giggling at the two. "Oh, it seems you have a fan now!"   |

Miranda, we will meet you and the others at the gates." They went on a trip to Wendy and Porlyusica's home to help the younger girl pack. Malvin also placed his large sword into a holder as Porlyusica approached him while holding something covered up with a red cloth. Porlyusica: "Here, you asked me to keep these for safekeeping. You have Wendy with you now, so you cannot hold back." She uncovered the cloth to reveal 3 magnificent katana's. She offered them to Malvin who took them with reverence and placed them on a nearby table. He lifted one with a blue scabbard and pulled it open. The blade shone with a blueish hue as it caught the light. The three of them marveled at the sight before Malvin closed the scabbard and then took all three blades and placed them on his side. it made for a strange sight as Malvin then spoke, Malvin: "Time for the Leonheart family treasures to be used to protect their family once again." [Magnolia Town - Edge of Town] Malvin and Wendy arrived at the designated meeting point. Several of the others were there already and so were their transports. Both Malvin and Wendy had changed their outfits and Malvin carried two duffel bags one for him and the other for Wendy as they approached. Wendy was also carrying a suitcase containing her herbs, and some tools for concocting potions.  (Malvin is wearing his same black outfit but is now wearing this trenchcoat over it) Upon arrival they caught the end of a conversation between Miranda and Ezio, "You've been spacing out a lot lately. Not only that, but ever since I started tagging along you've been giving me weird looks. Do I remind you of your little girlfriend back on Avira or something?" "It-it's not that! I mean-. . . I just get lost in thought a lot. That's all." Malvin stepped into the conversation with an utterly dry voice. He had a little joke planned for Miranda as payback for her 'KISA' comment earlier. He gave a quick wink to Liel to show that he had something coming. Malvin: "Interesting, Miranda. I did not peg you for one who would like little boys. Well, you learn something new everyday." He then walked past and placed their dufflebags into the nearest coach but continued talking to Miranda, "Then again, everyone has their own hobbies and fetishes. Just try not to jump poor Ezio's bones until we are out of Lucine at the very least, alright? I do not know about the other countries but such a relationship is illegal in Lucine when one of the partners is below 16. And since I am technically an officer of the law I cant condone such acts until we are out of the country where my jurisdiction ends. " Malvin then lifted Wendy's suitcase and gently placed it into the transport. He then grabbed a part of it and lifted himself into the transport where he now sat in a lotus position. While up there he gave some parting words to Miranda, "Also, please try to keep it down at night. Arden's snoring is bad enough and I do not need you traumatizing my sister at her impressionable age." When Miranda was not paying attention he gave Liel another quick wink and a sharp grin but it as gone almost immediately. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Note that Malvin has now changed his weapons. Well... At least the stone itself is Avirian stuff." Miranda then tells everyone to get ready for the trip to Imelda. Arden immediately went and readies for the trip, he then went to the edge of town [ Edge of Town ] Arden carried a bag filled with supplies, he notices that the transport is there but the guy who's in charge was nowhere to be seen. " Where's the guy in charge for this?" He saw some of the group members already help themselves and put their stuffs on the transport and took a seat. Arden follows suit, he took a seat, he then looked at the sky. "I wonder if this would be the best time to find myself a family now?" |

" Malvin then lifted Wendy's suitcase and gently placed it into the transport. He then grabbed a part of it and lifted himself into the transport where he now sat in a lotus position. While up there he gave some parting words to Miranda, "Also, please try to keep it down at night. Arden's snoring is bad enough and I do not need you traumatizing my sister at her impressionable age." Alisa:(......I had worse.....) Snake:Hmm?You say something,Alisa-chan? Alisa:Uh,no,nothing. Snake:Hmm....Well,shall we continue,otto-san? Hiryu:You bet!Ooh,Malvin,care to join us for some workout before we leave this place? @All - Alright, I'm going to have to move on. I'll send Icarael a message and give him two choices in opportunities to join. Also, I would guess that Destiny is gone this time, seeing as how there has not been any activity from them in some time. I'll take control of Excellen when need be. Finally, this is where a major part of the story will kick in. I won't say too much about it, but we'll finally have an actual antagonist character as well as a definite long term objective. @Massacre Town - Not sure who you're responding too, but as for the 'waking up your character' thing, my bad. I was just under the assumption that all characters were time-skipped to the rest of the group at the edge of town. [Magnolia Town - Edge of Town] Miranda rolled her eyes over to Malvin as he started on a rant about Miranda's comment. "You know I should be insulted, but all I can think about after hearing that is how messed up you must be to have thoughts that detailed running through your head. I'd be a little more concerned about the kids traveling with you to be honest." Excellen was looking blankly around as she made her way onto the transport. Just before getting on, she noticed someone approaching and decided to inform the rest of the group. "The transporter is here. Sit up." She reached down and poked Miranda in the stomach, causing her to squeal a little and quickly sit up to wrap her arms around her mid-section. "Do you really have to go around poking people lie that? At the very least you should be doing that to the guys." Excellen tilted her head a little and raised her finger to her cheek, poking it slightly. "Girls are squishier." She then touched her finger to part of her armor before correcting her previous statement. "Usually." Once the transporter arrived, the group started out on their journey to Imelda. The trip was much quicker with the transport and it provided a chance for the group to get a lot of much needed rest. After reaching Imelda however, things became more tense as several members of the group noticed irregularities. Imelda was notorious for its king being paranoid and xenophobic. The cities within the country were usually difficult and time-consuming for non-citizens to enter, especially for a large group of travelers. Their group managed to pass through one of the major cities and quite a few security checkpoints without any hassle however. The group arrived nearly in the center of the Imeldan capital without a single search of them or their transport. As they all began to disembark from the transport, Miranda decided to try and confirm some of her suspicions with the others. [Kingdom of Imelda - Capital City] Miranda laid her scythe on her shoulder and took a cautionary glance around the area. There weren't many citizens in the area considering it was the middle of the day, but other than that everything seemed reasonably normal for Imelda. "Alright, who else isn't liking this? I mean, I'm never super excited about being in Imelda anyway, but this is a different kind of dislike. No security stops, no hard ass gatekeepers. . . no strip searches. Did old King Oddswell finally get lynched by his people?" Ezio had a rather happy look on his face. Pleased to finally be off of the transport and free to walk around again. He gave Miranda an odd look after hearing her comment however. "What's 'lynched'?" Miranda patted him on the head with her free hand while continuing to look around the city for signs of life. "Not a word you need to understand kiddo. Don't worry about it." |

[Liel Vanguard] [Magnolia Town - Edge of Town] Liel's cheerful face has faded when Malvin steps in and winked at her, before giving his insulting comment to Miranda. Liel simply facepalmed, and shakes her head in tandem. "What a nonsense..." Malvin gave another wink to Liel again, after saying they should keep it quiet at night. Liel simply crossed her hands and scowled at the Lucine officer. Arden and the Valentine trio has arrived as well. Shortly after Excellen steps into the transport, the person who is responsible for piloting the transport appears and tells everyone to prepare for the journey. At first, it was an easygoing ride to Imelda. But as soon as they approached the border town of the country, the irregularities of the security checkpoints surprised them, and some of them felt anxious, including Liel herself. It seems the security was so relaxed that no whatsoever spot checks were performed on the ship. [Kingdom of Imelda - Capital City] Liel took a deep breath, and looked around the Capital City. It has been months since she has returned to her hometown. "It is still the same old Capital City..." Then, Miranda voiced out her suspicion about Imelda's security. "Alright, who else isn't liking this? I mean, I'm never super excited about being in Imelda anyway, but this is a different kind of dislike. No security stops, no hard ass gatekeepers. . . no strip searches. Did old King Oddswell finally get lynched by his people?" "Hmm... I don't think that paranoid king would let himself exposed and getting killed. I know how many guards are stationed in his castle." Liel takes a quick pause. "But I do agree with you. All these leniency however, is making me nervous." She then followed the group, while keeping her eyes on the surroundings for any old friends. |

[Kingdom of Imelda - Capital City] As the group finally arrived to the Imelda capitol it found the lack of security unusual. Miranda: Alright, who else isn't liking this? I mean, I'm never super excited about being in Imelda anyway, but this is a different kind of dislike. No security stops, no hard ass gatekeepers. . . no strip searches. Did old King Oddswell finally get lynched by his people? Ryuu: Hmm... Now then, what can we expect from this? What would be a basic reason for whole city to act unusual... First I can think of - maybe something happened and they're calling adventurers from all over the world. Would be wrong to make them pass security checks. Second - maybe all city guards got called to do something with higher priority than their regular job. Like for example the item Ezio "dropped" is now spawning monsters and it takes all forces to stop them. Well... whatever it is - let's hope it isn't related to us, though for some reason I doubt that. I bet our leader kid knows the answer, but won't tell us anyway. So... all I can say, be careful and check your meals for sleeping powder or poison. Helion: You think we'll have to fight? Ryuu: Oh, that's I'm almost certain. Well... I doubt Imelda will do something with me and Malvin-sempai here - that will be a problem of national level with Lucine... At least officially they won't do anything, but noone is able to prevent a group of well-armed thug suddenly appearing. Also, since Ezio is involved, we might meet assassin ladies again. Saying that, Ryuu suddenly smirked and chucked with laugh a bit. Ryuu: Must be hard being a popular guy, eh, kid? A whole guild of ladies wants to get their hands on you. |

Back in Lucine's bad old days, the old king and queen would sometimes prepare for a massive hunt in their lands for traitors. Soldiers would be ordered to break into almost anyone and everyone's homes on the slightest suspicion of treachery. The ones accused would then be dragged to the dungeons and tortured to admit their guilt. Failure to do so would open permission for your family to suffer your fate as well." Malvin shook his head to remove some old memories then continued, "In all reality you were pretty much guilty as soon as the king looked at you. And since King Oddswell is even more looney then my former rulers, I'm afraid that he might be planning something similar." He then looked at Miranda and asked her, "So what is the plan? Do we find an inn as a base first or do you have anything else planned? I want to know in any case as I plan to see if I can dig up whats going on here." |

[Richter Rivers] [Kingdom of Imelda-- Capital City] "S'too damn quiet," Richter muttered under his breath as he emerged from the wagon, ready to walk the last few meters to Imelda's capital. "I thought by now those Imelda lunatics would be here." The job he'd taken was simple enough: he was to join up with a group of travelers and help them transport a piece of cargo. But when he realized the meeting-spot was Imelda, he'd had his reservations. Over a horn of ale, he'd asked the guy who gave him the job just what he was playing at. He got the typical "just my job" response, and directed him to a man who could get him there incognito. "You take care now," he heard the coach say before he shut the door to his wagon and left in a plume of dust. The thunder of the carriage faded, leaving Richter alone. "What the hell is going on here?" His voice echoed in the empty field. There were no travelers, no merchant caravans and farmers' carts. Not even the guard regiments that he knew should be patrolling the place could be seen. The silence made the hairs on the back of his neck prickle, made him painfully aware of the sweat trickling down his forehead. Highly suspicious already, Richter unsheathed his sword and headed down the path. He would get to the bottom of this. And if I find that ass set me on a wild goose chase, I'll slit the bastard's throat myself, contract be damned, Richter thought.
