I beat inFamous lately and my god it's great. Both endings are really different, but I really preferred the Hero ending a lot better, and the moves were also better (in my opinion). Also tried out the Uncharted 3 beta, but it's not really that fun.

Just got a few games off the steam sale, including magica, sanctum, and mnc. Been really enjoying the Uncharted 3 beta. 3TDM is the way to play!  |

@Cinta - Pleasure to meet you. Glad to see you joining the club. I do have Steam, technically, but I haven't played games on it in years. I have doubts that my laptop could run half of the games on your list, so I unfortunately won't be able to join in on sessions. I'm also mainly a co-op kind of guy, so I'm generally opposed to the competitive games. I wouldn't mind LFD2, but again, my laptop probably could not run it very well. Me and my friend have been doing some quests in White Knight Chronicles lately. We're trying to train up a bit for WKC2. Hopefully we can get to level 50 so that we can reincarnate once before transferring the data to WKC2 (since you start at level 35 in that game anyway). Here's two of the pictures I took. (Thumbnailed. I'm the one with the Red&Gold cape and dark brown hair. The quality is kind of bad because WKC doesn't allow you to export images, so I had to take pictures of the pictures with my camera)   Edit: Just got through playing the demo for Catherine. They weren't kidding when the Japanese gamers said it was hard. Easy is the only option in the demo, and I failed on the second level, and manually restarted on a separate attempt. Still, I was impressed by the animated scenes and English voice acting. The in-game animations, especially the mouth animations, looked like they could have used some work though. Vincent has these really weird expressions on his face. The story is still the most interesting part of course, so I'm looking forward to starting the game on the 26th.    |

lol Catherine demo started to piss me off until I saw how to beat that second stage. It's definitely really interesting, but I can definitely see the puzzles getting frustrating regardless of level. I wish there was a REAL anime for it though, I'd watch it in a heart beat! I hate when game studios have actual 2D-anime style cutscenes but no anime version is never made! (e.g. BlazeBlue).

Just finished the Catherine demo myself with ease. The second stage wasnt really hard at all, i inly died once and that wa because i accidentally let go of an edge haha. This is the first time I played one of Atlus' games, and I was really satisfied. I like a game that makes you think the way Catherine did. The story looks really amazing though, and judging between Katherine and Catherine, it looks like there will be a couple endings to it. The story looks really engrossing as well, this definitely looks like something I'll pick up. Although, since it's rated M, it'll be kind of hard for me to get it, since my parents still crack down on me for ESRB ratings.

@Haseo - For me it seems like a really easy choice, although I'm now concerned about what kind of ending I will get. I know that I'm going to go completely towards Katherine, because honestly, I think there's something seriously wrong with Vincent to not want to marry a smart, successful and hot woman like that. I'm just worried that that particular route will end up with someone dead or Vincent left entirely alone. I also died the same way Haseo. I pushed the up button and he crawled to the other side of the block and fell off. Still, really looking forward to playing it. |

[Haseo] lol damn that sucks your parents are sort of strict with that stuff. Also I think Atlus made 3DDGH which was very popular as well. I like how it has both endings, too, something that I enjoyed with inFamous. I personally prefer Katherine, too, she's hotter than the blond Catherine, and you gotta love her style and everything about her, she seems sweet. The demo didn't really say much about Catherine, but I can already picture her type of personality. One thing I hope they add though, but since the demo didn't have it not sure if the final game will, is having the original voices, which I always like, y'know? The dubbed voices weren't that bad, I liked Katherine's voice. I wonder if the game is more than just these puzzles and whatnot, hopefully he doesn't go to that bar all the time, lol. I also love how you can send your girlfriend text messages that are different and can affect your relationship (with both C/Katherines). If I still have GF, I'll definitely rent the game, it's definitely worth a try.

Recently I've been enjoying Outland and Hard Corps Uprising off the PSN (practically got the latter for half off cuz of free PS+, which is ballin) I'm gonna be picking up hoard before the week is up in time for my vacation. It'll be nice to take a break from all this writing. Anyone thinking of getting Dead Nation? 4 player, drop-in, drop-out open world zombie slaying co-op is right up my alley. Its got like a Sept. release date I think. I'm also picking up a couple games off the 3DS's eshop (mostly dsiware titles that I missed without a dsi) for the up-coming carride. Otherwise, the only other title I'm grabbing this summer is Infamous 2. Unfortunately, after that it's probably nothing until Winter Break. |

Just finished playing the Demo Catherine, and I can see myself picking it up. I died on the second tower of the demo, and it was not pretty DX. @DA : I think you probably will be visiting that bar a lot. I would be too if I had nightmares like that, lol.

@Jon & DA: Both of you are for Katherine? Am I the only one that's for Catherine? lol I really don't know much about her character, so I'm really only going off appearances here. But I dunno... something about Katherine reminds me of Stew's fiance from the first Hangover. And she was a real bish too, haha. But yea, my parent's still don't let me play M games much. I have Call of Duty, but that's really the only one. There was a time where they were still iffy about getting me T games too, and that was a couple years ago when i was 14, haha. They also still freak out if I see an R-Rated movie. I got in trouble for seeing The Hangover last year at a friend's house haha.

@DA: If I didn't feel sorry for Vincent, then I could call them "cheat dreams." since you have to choose between Katherine and Catherine. I didn't see a multi-player for it though. You get the soundtrack when you buy the game though, and the deluxe version gets a crap load of stuff. The boxers Vincent has in his nightmare, t-shirts that were worn by Catherine and Vincent, and more for about 79.99

@Haseo - I guess it depends on what kind of guy you are (although there's nothing stopping girls from being the same way XD). I prefer Katherine way more. I mean, she looks great, she has a successful career, caring, intelligent, apparently willing to put up with quite a bit of crap (Vincent didn't really come off as a Prince Charming during the demo), and she show blatant interest in committing to a long-term relationship. Catherine (I don't know much about her character either, outside of the few trailers I have seen) seems to be just a young 'party' girl that only really cares about the short-term. Too early for me to make a decisive call, but I highly doubt that Catherine shares the same kind of traits as Katherine. If this was a real life choice for me, I would take Katherine in a heartbeat. No way in hell would I mess up the kind of thing that Vincent has going for him. Like I said, it all comes down to the kind of person you are. I don't have a girlfriend, and only one I can really say I've ever had was an online one. I'm a guy who wants commitment, one who wants a long-term relationship. That's why the choice in the game seems like such an obvious one to me. Anyway, I'm getting a bit too in depth with this. lol @Maiku - You got Hard Corps too? I bought it back before the sale and played a bit with my friend in local co-op. I'm not that great at it, but if you ever want to play, or you need help with a level, then just let me know. @Yuna - Love is Over Deluxe Edition looks awesome. Can't wait to get mine. |

[Haseo] To be honest, I prefer both together with me. =^3^= lol I can tell Katherine might have a temper as well, cause the one chasing you in your nightmares, is her... lol. Scary. Catherine seems like the Japanese typical portrayal of a blond girl, lol. Though if she has some cute side to her it might be a fight against Katherine. I don't think it'll be a short-term thing, since you sort of have to choose between them in the end, although who knows, she might just be stupid or nobody wants her... XD Your parents monitor the games you play? Do they like do that with your computer too? [Yuna] Yeah I saw the details on the pre-order bundle a while ago, and it does look nice, although the shirt I'd never really wear, you get a pillow which is random, and boxers that might or might not even fit me. I'd wear them though, I think they're like hearts or something, lol, boxers are boxers. The thing is I'm not really gonna "buy" any games that don't have replay value, and as long as I still use GF, I'll probably try to rent it, although it's 50% chance it seems I'll get a game right after release date. Everything I do relates to like, when I get into school or if I get into school again and it seems I'm just sitting at home playing video games or sleeping. If I do get into school, I'm canceling my GF membership. The only games I see myself buying in the future are maybe pre-ordering BF3 (who't not getting it) and probably UFC Undisputed 3 next January or so! But yes, I checked Amazon again, and there is multiplayer. Also local ones, too. You probably just do the puzzles together or something, I'm not sure. I hope they release more game footage but the games coming out in like 2 weeks anyways.

@Jon: I'm into the long-term as well, I'm not really into those quickie deals. Though you never know, like DA said, Catherine could be one of those that are into long-terms too, she's just never found someone else that is :P @DA: Yea, they monitor me like a hawk. The computer isn't really so bad, but they've gotten really mad at me for times and coming on here. According to them, everyone on the internet is a rapist, haha. It's honestly really annoying as well, since I don't have my own computer for internet, so I have to be in their room while I'm on it.

Not a lot of activity here is there? @Haseo - As fresh as this perspective is, I'm still under the impression that the choice in the game boils down to an "evil" and "good" option. I would expect her to have a different outlook than Katherine. Hoping to pick up Catherine Deluxe on Tuesday. I have the day off, so I should be able to get right to it. Right now I'm playing MegaMan Starforce: Pegasus. I really do love these games, and I'm hoping that they make a Starforce 4. I also got around to playing (and beating, in one night >.>) Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2. It was as short as everyone said, and the story was much worse than the first one. Overall it was a big disappointment. The last fight was especially garbage because it took freaking forever and was boring as hell (especially since I got pushed off of a platform one time and had to restart at a checkpoint where the boss had 30% of his health back). Still have a huge backlog of games that need to be completed, but that I have not even touched. >.> I think this is the worst backlog I have ever had as a gamer. Other than that, I've been playing some White Knight Chronicles with my friend. Just doing some quests and leveling in preparation for WKCII. White Knight Chronicles Origins is on it's way to me from the UK. Not very likely that that game will get an NA release, so I decided to just import it. |
