As for the first post, Utada beats the pants off Ayumi and Nami Tamaki. I'm also a bit biased against both Nami and Ayumi because Nami's more of a dance/pop princess singer, and Ayumi is a plastic surgery queen. I like a few of her songs, but Utada Hikaru is just amazing.

And as for personal taste, I like GReeeeN, Mr. Children, Hayashi Asuka, Aqua Timez, Orange Rance, and Yuna Ito. Utada too, of course.

Definitely Utada Hikaru is one of my fave J-Pop singers so far. I also think Flow, Orange Range, Yui, Mizuki Nana, Kuraki Mai and Abington School Boys are cool.
