I finished both inFamous and White Knight Chronicles today, so that's two more games out of the way. I'm not really in the mood to pick up Legend of Heroes again at the moment, so I think I will start on Phantom Brave for the time being. White Knight Chronicles was a great game overall, although I do have a lot of complaints with it. The main thing is that I really enjoyed the world, some of the characters and a good chunk of the story. I'm interested to see where the game picks up in the sequel. My main question right now with regards to that is how the Avatar's Knight will ply into things. I'll avoid spoilers, but there doesn't seem to be a way to explain your avatar character getting a Knight Ark without copping out. They would either need to retcon something in the first game, completely gloss over it to the point that no other character acknowledges that it happens, or throw it in as being some artificial creation. My biggest fear is that they will go with the last two options. I would much rather have my avatar character actually be recognized as a Knight in the context of the game itself and by the other characters. I can only hope that it turns out that way. Also, Leonard was a complete jerk right up until the ending. Last boss was a rather big wimp as well. Myself, Ceaser and Yulie fought all of the battles and had no trouble. I didn't even use Leonard. Take that Mr. White Knight.    |

Sorry we couldn't get started on OR:FF today Jon, tell your friend, too. I'm sure he's bummed cause he wants to trade it in ASAP and I have to make you guys wait a day or two longer. It's good you beat inFamous (surprisingly people around here are taking their time with it). Did you like it? Are you going to try the second one? Did you do both karma runs?

@DA - I already told him. I'm disappointed that we couldn't start this weekend, mainly because I'll be working so much this week. We won't really get to have many extended sessions. I'm assuming you will get it by Monday or Tuesday, right? We're doing our best to avoid playing any portion of the game, even the FTE's, until you have your copy. Also, there's no need to apologize. It's not your fault that it didn't get there in time. inFamous was a good game. I don't have too many complaints with it, besides the animation being really robotic. It is an early PS3 game though, so I can't fault it too much for that. I would love to get the second game, but I've bought way too many games and spent far too much money at the moment. I did decide that if the quarterly GST check comes in, then I would use that to get the Hero Edition (assuming there's still one laying around). I only beat the game as a Hero. I'm not really that interested in playing both paths, because the story doesn't seem to change at all. All of the choices seem laughably stark. |

[@Jon] They put down a new order for one-day shipping, and that was last night (Saturday). They didn't ship it yet, probably on Monday they will and I'll get it on Tuesday. Sundays are like off days for everyone. If anything I get it on Monday and we can start a bit sooner. If you work the entire week, I'll hold off on the campaign as well. The FTEs...they don't relate to the story I believe, they're only used as missions you can do to unlock more weapons and such? I wonder if in the campaign, you're limited to the weapons you find, if the FTE stuff you unlock gets added. Cause usually in that situation, there's like Team Deathmatch or something for online, which this type of games doesn't have. So I as wondering where and what you would use those weapons for (I guess for other FTEs). And yeah you're right, the story doesn't change in the first one no matter what karma run you decide to choose, but it does change in the second so I'm so anxious to get it from GF, soon. Still "low". What does the "hero" edition come with? The box looks pretty cool when I saw it on amazon. I'm sure there's still some around. Almost decided to buy the inFamous costume in LBP, too.

@DA - Hero Edition comes with a statue of Cole, the sling bag that he wears in the game, all the DLC, a comic book and access to the soundtrack. Yeah, the FTE missions do not have anything to do with the campaign. There basically just single objective missions that you can do if you're bored and just want to kill stuff. You start off with certain weapons for each class, and as you level up those classes you can pick different weapons and attachments. There doesn't seem to be a huge variety, but that's not a big deal. That's why me and my friend haven't gone ahead and started playing the FTE missions yet. If we do, then we'll have higher class levels, abilities and weapons than you starting off. Anyway, hopefully you get your copy tomorrow night or Tuesday. I'll be working all week, but we can still get together for sessions throughout the week. We'll just be limited from around 10:00 p.m. to 2 a.m. my time, which is 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. your time I believe. As soon as you have your copy, we can get started. |

[@Jon] The only reason I'd buy inFamous 2 is to get Uncharted 3 beta, but it's whatever. Honestly if you guys want to play a bit of the FTEs, go right ahead. When we can't play together on campaign after I get the game myself, I'll play the FTEs to level up. Now if those are used in the actual campaign, that's great, but yeah if they're only used in the FTEs, then it's whatever. I'm sure we'll be playing a lot of the FTEs, too, so might as well get a better start than to have all 3 of us lagging behind. I honestly don't mind, and I feel bad for making you guys wait. If I'm signed onto PSN, that's a good sign I'm ready to go, and around 8PM my time, that's perfect for me. I'll probably eat dinner around then, but I can always eat earlier. I'm sure it'll be fine, we'll have plenty of chances to win and make the best out of it.

(all for this year) Ps3 Uncharted 3 Disgaea 4 Dead Island Infamous 2 Skyrim Modern Warfare 3 Dark Souls Journey Wii Skyward Sword Kirby Wii 3DS Kirby Mass Attack (DS) Super Mario 3D Kid Icarus Mario Kart Starfox 64 Games I still want but will probably end up waiting on: Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham City, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Rage, Catherine, Ico/Shadow, WKC II, Ghost Recon, Bleach: Soul Resurrection, Deus Ex, Bit Trip Saga, and a whole bunch of other games that I just don't know when they release. Unfortunately I can't afford all of them, so I'll probably have to cut corners somewhere. Maybe drop Starfox, Dark Souls and the Kirbys for the time being.  |

@Maiku - You're going to wait on WKC II? That sucks. My friend is going to borrow the first one from me to play through it before the second one comes out. I was hoping that me, my friend, you and Yuna would all have the game to do some quests. I'm assuming that Yuna still plans to get the game. @DA - As far as I know, levels and experience are shared across all modes. Anyway, we're hoping that you'll have your copy tomorrow. I have tomorrow off, although I'll be doing some odd jobs in the morning. If we don't hear from you, then we will probably go ahead and play a few FTE missions. |

I also got Alice: the madness something from GF, too, and the game released literally today, so unfortunately couldn't get OF:RR, somehow got this game RIGHT away, so at least I know it's possible to get games right away now after release. Also sucks inFamous 2 is "available now" but I can't get it. Hopefully I can get it soon, might have to clear my gameQ again. :(

Infamous was a damn good game. Beat the good path the day after I got it, and am about 50% through my evil playthrough. I totally stalled in that though because I started playing from LBP [Me and DA were tearin' it up there for a bit! Even if I did keep failing on quite a few occasions] then I started playing FFXIII to try and finish the game, then I've gotten busy with house work and stuff. I won't be picking up Infamous 2 for awhile. At least not until the price drops. I'm probably picking of Assassin's Creed 1 & 2 Thursday, though, when I get some money. I played the first years ago when it came out with my friend, and played some of the 2nd, but with my own next-gen PS3 I wanna get them for myself. Also somewhat enjoyed E3, but I wish there was news on Versus. Makes it look like a for-sure Holiday 2012 release, which blows. Another note about FFXIII, though. I've noticed I enjoy the game ALOT more from Chapter 11+. I enjoyed grinding throughout all of Pulse and doing missions, and after getting to the point right before Chapter 12, I get to grind some more and really sit down to upgrade stuff. Should be fun. Just hard to find time to sit down and play like I want to with stuff picking up lately, gah. |

Machinima did cover XIII-2 though, check their youtube page. And yeah we gotta get back into LBP, it's totally fun hopefully the end isn't totally near. I got more stickers so that I can help you with on some levels. I'd skip buying AC1/2 though that's my personal opinion, cause I beat Brotherhood and I never fully beat [myself] AC 1 or 2, I read them online (there's so much information though to not play the game). Did you see the trailer at E3 for AC3? ZOMG, the best thing EVER in gaming history. Blows Crysis 2 out of the water. lol that would suck even more if you never played any AC before playing AC3. I'm glad the franchise is ending though with this title, and just for that I might have to buy it somehow.

Just bought crysis 2 and bad company 2. I'm about to play crysis 2 right now after it's installing. Erik let you know how it is. I also got modnation racers but thats more for my daughter than me

@Ray - Are we ever going to finish up with Lost Planet 2? Or did you already get rid of it? @DA - How long do you think we should go on with Operation Flashpoint? I have tonight and Sunday night off. Last few sessions were fun, although I noticed that you are a lot like me, not talking a whole lot. |

@Ray - Oh, right. Sorry. I misread your last post, thought you said you were going to play Crysis 2 online. I bought Hard Corps: Uprising and Threads of Fate off of the PS Store a few nights ago. The Canadian PS Store wasn't charging tax on any items for some reason, so I decided to get what I could. Hard Corps: Uprising is a lot like Contra (in terms of difficulty as well). Probably going to need a co-op partner in order to get through it. Other than that, I'm not sure what game I'm going to go at now. I really should get back to LOH and finish that up I suppose. I played a little bit of Phantom Brave. Probably going to be a while before I get fully in to that one though. I also have that copy of Dragon Quest IV I bought off of my friend for 6 dollars. Need to start that at some point too. I has too many games to play. I really need to find a way to control my spending. |

[@Jon] It'd be great if you can help me get gold on 2 of the missions. For some reason I can't get gold on the first one, I tried like 2 times now by myself, but I think I need another person to help me to do it faster, cause doing all the objectives only gets you silver. I also have to re-do campaign 09, so help there as well would be nice. Other than that, I just need to get my grenadier and auto rifleman to level 20 and beat Last Stand to 5:1 and platinum I get. :) And yeah I didn't talk much, honestly I didn't have anything to say, lol. Humvee rides make me sleep. Your friend said he'd help me get some of the FTEs, and the last stand one is the only one left I need for that trophy. All the other FTEs I got gold on and only need 4 more campaign medals, after that it's just straight up grinding for my two remaining classes which won't be that much of a pain. I can play tomorrow as well, hopefully we have no server issues again.

Thread's gotten quiet again XD. Here's my gaming list White Knight Chronicles II Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Zone of the Enders HD Collection. Final Fantasy XIII-2 Despite how linear Final Fantasy XIII turned out to be, I still will be obtaining Final Fantasy XIII-2 early next year. I'm not that curious about the storyline, but I do want to see how they approved the battle system.

Finally gotten Homefront and got inFamous 2 yesterday. I like Homefront's multiplayer, although it's pretty small and limited. I'd buy it honestly if it had more of a fanbse and maybe more modes? Though I am level locked at 5 so I can't unlock the other modes, but the servers are insanely awesome (no lag regardless of one bar or three), but the lack of players (can't even fill out a 16-player lobby for deathmatch), I don't want to buy. Plus I just spent like 150+ on clothes yesterday, so I'll splurge again later in the year... As for inFamous gave it a quick play through earlier this morning and yeah it's great. The movements seem more "fluid" though I prefer the prequals cause it's less "sliding". It still auto-locks your arms when you're floating down which I hated in the first game as well. It does look better, although I was bummed out that your save data from the previous doesn't really give you any real significant edge. You don't even remember the shield, you don't even know Lightning Storm even though you attacked the beast with it the first event in the game. I do like how the karma moments are separated now so you can't accidentally do a good one when you're doing the bad karma run. I'm only on the 6th part so yeah I'm hoping to beat it and get to the good hero karma run soon! Also tried out the Uncharted 3 beta, it was hard to even find a game first time trying to play. Think I'll stick to me against 3rd person shooters and multiplayer. I prefer 1st basically... And hopefully the game doesn't look as horrible as the beta, regardless of it being a beta.

I'm terrible. @Yuna - I'm glad that you are still planning to get WKC2. I'm really excited for it now that I know at least 2 people that plan to buy it around the same time (my friend has taken interest in it). Some of the quests in the new game look really interesting, like the one where you can apparently fight the Knights. I'm also slightly relieved that the avatar character will actually get their own story arc, at least, that's what I have managed to find out about on the message boards without getting into spoiler territory. |
