@without you sorry for using this thread but, we'll be startng as soon as possible, for the meantime we need a story as usuall...as you had noticed with the staff, we're only seven if im not mistaken..I choose few members so that it would be easier for us to work and since all the staff are almost online then we could easily come up with the MANGA...yoroshiku ne!^^ @Imppy ill also need yourhelp imps!not only for coloring but also for the effects and whatsoever so pls be updated with the thread!onegaishimasu!^^

Wow... so many new pic since I last visited here. Sorry, but I'll try to catch up after my exams are over. @TM: Nice drawing... proportional and well sketched. Is that drawn with pen? Anyway, nice job! ^^ @Pappy: Wow, a love scene... that's nice indeed ^^ they're looking right at each other and it's well drawn. No flaws except on the girl's right hand... it does look a little... nah, just my imagination. @Mitukuru: It's the first time for me to see your drawings but the face and the body looks great and cute as well... maybe you should work a little on the hair then that drawing will be totally cool. @ROQ: Tenshi Muhyo? I never seen the anime before but that drawing looks great. @Everybody: Sorry if I missed out any of you but your drawings are very good and some well... I guess a little more practice makes perfect right? I'll post mine next month... maybe 15th of May? (Posting drawings limit and photobucket problem)  |

Pic 1: @Imppy, lol, I'm by no means "way better" than you, but lol I'm glad you liked the boobies. @Ich, thanks a lot man! Pic 1: Awesome Bleach-styled character!! He looks related to Ichigo, but FAR more pissed off, which is a great design. Love the glare too. Oh and thanks for making me a panelist, though I gotta practice for this a bit more, can't wait to start it! @Eureka, thanks a lot! It does look kinky huh? Pic 1: The amount of skill you showed at such a young age is impressive! She reminds me of a Disney character, or a Hayao Miyazaki heroine actually, very cute Pic 2: Very cute! It's quite a relief to see Without You cute style, it brings a smile to anyone's face! Pic 3: Wow! Neko looks pretty sexy, great work! Love the pose too. Pic 4: LOL Love the doodles, especially the "Ecchi" and "Gaaaa!" ones, hysterical! @Mitsukiru, very cute sketch! Pic 1: The facial detail is perfect for the cute factor, and the hair fits her quite well! Pic 1: Supakitty is histerical! I also love how Sephiroth just casually appears, nice touch there, truly excellent! Pic 2: DOA rocks, and that's a great comic of someone losing hard! @ Mitsukiru-san I agree the pic of Lumina is very influenced by KANON....which is a good thing. Anyways overall the pic is quite well done. I agree with Ben (without you) the clothing needs some work. A tip for you....which i used to practice....find an image that is similar to the one you are drawing....like in a magazine or a dept. store flier. Find a pose that is similar & study the way the lines & curves look in the clothing. That way you can incorporate it into your drawing. That's a simple way of improving the look & feel of the clothes your character wears. What else....add some extra lines in the hair...to show the strands...not too much though...also some loose hair will add some sense of movement. Like the hair is blowing in the wind. Sort of what you did on the top of her head. An easy way to limit the amount of white space in the background is add simple objects...i usually use leaves or cherry blossoms. They are easy to draw & will add some "POP" to your pic. Leaves you can picture drawing little lemons in the air...a basic shape for leaves. As for cherry blossoms....a stretched out heart is what you're aiming for. Okay..hope that will help you...i look forward to more of your art....just do the best you can & experiment with things.  |

Hey guys, new to this thread. I'm quite amazed at the amount of talents here, almost made me shy away from embarrassing myself by my own sketches, haha. Here's one I did recently, as you can see I'm not very good with the scanner, but I hope you guys can enjoy it. This is a character from a games series, so I'll also be keeping my eyes opened for the first person who can identify her ;).  |

posting everything i uploaded to photobucket that i did, darn none of them are recent except the first one. i have set the size down so i dun kill the post length so just right click n view. i still need more practice, in comparison to the ppl i know im at a novice level if not lower, dammit them. will more in the coming days.   Note: moogle looks ugly in most cases, so i made a version of a moogle to my liking XD. the followings are photoshopped pics n the rough works.     boo yes i know wut ur thinking omg another kid that draws physically impossible over size sword, no this was meant to be a concept of a sword with fragmented pieces and drawn the handle way too short.  yes i do fanart on very rare occasions too  plz do as u wish, bashs, comments, anything, to me a honest opinion is better than a praise it will help me improve XD. |

@kiran: i seriously like your photoshop works. you use very mature colours. i love the pic on the second row especially ^^ @red: she's very sweet! but i would draw the music effects just randomly on the pic instead of putting together in a speech bubble.. oh well... @crimson: welcome! very nice pic! shes really adorable XD but i dont know which games shes from. im weak with games.. pls keep posting! @without you: great character design! the tattoo on her shoulder makes her look magical (? sorry im lack of vocab...), somehow looks as though shes very close to nature... dont know, just guessing. btw, i enjoyed your doodle of different face expressions. because those expressions are real essential in manga (especially comedy) @evil-kitty: i loved your manga! its amazing how you can make such short comedies, they make you want to read more.. so make more plz! @mitsukiru: shes very pretty XD i wonder wht your storys like. looks interesting^^ I wanted to practise drawing "yukata", a traditional japanese clothing for hot season (summer particularly) I had to make a background (even though its rough..) otherwise she would have looked like a loner. turned out quite well. YAY ^^  |

Greatly appreciated ^^ And for those who asked: Yes, I drew the comics myself; No, I did not have any help from Imppy other than the one in the 'Gendou Comic Shorts' (though I wouldn't mind if he did ^^ ); and yeah, I'm planning to make more. @Red: I can't recall this pic, but from this one and your recent ones, there is evidence of improvement. Post some new ones kay, we miss your stuff ^^ @Crimson butterfly: Nope, I have now idea who she is, but she looks scarily cute. Eeek! Knife!!! *runs away* @Kiran: Very nice. Especially your usage in Photoshop. Looking at the male pic, you know where to put the source of lighting. I however have no idea and simply put the lighting anywhere XD @Turtle: Yay! Group shots! I haven't seen these types for awhile. Doesn't look overcrowded to me either (in my opinion that is) Nice character design. Can't wait to see more ^^ @Without you: Yeah, she kinda looks Egyptian. Thank you all for your comments. She does look exotic and egyptian ( never thought she looked egyptian, though) because when I started drawing, I have this Amazon warrior princess in mind. That's why I drew the determined/serious look on her face. And the strength of her characeter did come though, as Imppy had mentioned. Anyways, enough about me. I will comment on the drawings now: @Crimson butterfly: Sorry, I don't play games like I used to so I have not the faintest idea which game she comes from. But you did a great jot on the clothing. The left wing looked a little melted. ^__^ Thanks for sharing. @Red: It is a nice drawing overall. The posture is good. The composition is good. looks like she is sitting on something but I can't make out what. Good job. @Kiran: your work has the originality all over it. As far as practice, we all need practice. Not only in drawing but in every aspect of life. The photoshop art are particularly lovely. Great job. Glad you shared them with us. @TM: I love to see fresh new character design and yours is it. Yes, it does look a bit sketchy and rough but you certain put the messages in your characters well. Each one speaks for themselves. Now I would like to know the meaning behind the words that you put in your drawing. Care the enlighten us? One recommendation I have is to re-trace your characters on another piece of paper to redefine some of the lines. That might clean up the drawing a bit. @Yobo: Nice portrait, done in photoshop! Was she a real model (from photo or live) or was she someone you made up? She looks realistic. I love the color you used. (Thank god my monitor at home was calibrated, your drawing didn't look too good at work ^__^) The lanterns scared me a little at first because I thought they were giant eyeballs for some reason. Then slowly I realize they were lanterns. ^__^' |
