I heard the Manga's better in the anime, despite how good the anime is (we know that for sure). Rigardo is a friggin' monster... seriously. I can imagine how Easley will fight. Does anyone remember a while back, when someone said something about Priscilla still being the strongest? There was something about this, the number one Claymore can't defeat her even. Wonder if that statement (from a while back) still makes sense now. Truthfully, I'm not sure how any of the current 24- Claymores [left] can defeat Rigardo, let alone Easley or Priscilla. The other single digit Claymores can come, or Riful can make an appearance. If not, they can have a nice ending (still), with another season in the making. I think it's a bit early to predict anything so far. I'll just continue to enjoy them as an episode releases a week. -------

yeah, it seems impossible for any of them to survive the battlefield the way they are now (except for Clare because she's using the 'main character won't die' cheat XD) Will the arc end tragically, like, everyone other than Clare dies??? Even i think that's too much >.< @bkno9 Well, for such a dark story as this, a happy resurrection scene (like in mai hime >.<) is very unlikely, so, as much as i don't want it, i think they should stay dead. That way Jeane would fulfill her duty to sacrifice her life for Clare as well... @Nablix Interesting facts... so i guess you've read the manga. Then, without giving spoilers, can you answer my question? What volume/chapter of the manga is the anime in now?

The anime started diverging from the manga in ep 20. Most of the fight scenes in Pieta are from the manga, but Raki in the cave with Priscilla is not in the manga at all. I'm guessing the ending will be different. As for another season of Claymore... well as the manga only comes out once a month, it'll take about 5 years of manga releases before there's enough material for another anime season.... unless they do a Kenshin and make up the next season entirely.

@Eiko I really don't like that idea, and plus stories like Claymore will probably stay as one anime series. My sister told me that Raki, Priscilla, and Clare are related by blood in some sort of fashion using the clues from the anime. Priscilla and Raki are brother and sister; (Raki mentions he doesn't know/lost his sister and Priscilla likes him and in Thresha's story, she lost (as in he's somewhere) her brother. And Raki was with his uncle at the beginning) Clare is ... forgot what she said... cousin? (and I forgot what she said that connected them) Interesting if it's true.

Clare kissed Raki a while back before they departed from one another. A Claymore - Cousin farewell there? O.o` What about a movie instead of a second season? That'd be interesting. I haven't seen an anime movie in a while. There's the Bleach and Naruto: Shippuuden one coming up soon, and then there's the Shakugan no Shana movie, too. Probably a few more I'm leaving out, but yeah... If they are related, there's a huge feud amongst them. Clare wants to kill Priscilla for killing Teresa who was like Clare's love back then. Now Raki's involved with Clare, and doesn't know he's hanging out with the exact person who killed Teresa those long years ago. -------

@ SAI I think the anime is about vol 7 or 8 i 4got its been a while since i read the manga. It suddenly stopped for the past few monthes and im eagerly waiting to see what happens. I agree with Eiko in the fact that its starting to change around ep 20 cuz they started taking out some scenes that are susposed to be amazing like the fight between Flora and Clair with Flora trying to see who has the faster sword skills. ***Spoilers.....sorta*** At the rate its going its probrably going to end with this arc and the 7 year arc that comes up later with 7 of the Claymores still alive. By this time they're are experienced fighters along with the fact that tye learned so many new moves and things like an upgrated Mirage for Miria and a more controled Flash sword for Clair though with flora dying she decided to use the Quick draw since it is less noticeable because it uses much less yoki and is almost un detecable.

Wow, this topic has grown quite a bit since I started it a while back when the first ep was released by Eclipse. So glad that so many people like it too. I lost my password for Gendou when my hard got fried and only realized while going through my laptop (for back to school), that I had written my passwords there also. Anyways, the current episode is now at the end of Volume 10 to beginning of Volume 11. I'm suspecting that the series will end at the middle of Volume 12 or near the end. Since some people are wondering the difference between anime and manga, I thought that I might as well list them out. click here for spoiler ep 1 - is actually Scene 1 and 3 of the first volulme 2 - is actually Scene 2 and 4 of the first volume, which meant that when Clare fought the flying Yoma, Raki wasn't supposed to be there. Also, the guy in black that Raki talked to wasn't there in the manga and Clare never left him at the inn. 3-4 - Nothing much changed. Anime focused a little bit more on the mummies at the start when they first went in instead of just a passing mention in the manga. At the end, the scene with Sid stealing a kiss from Clare followed with Raki kicking him in the balls for stealing a kiss was taken out. Volume 2 to middle of Volume 3 4-8 - Teresa of the Faint Smile flashback - the town with the 7 yomas did not ask for help in the manga, rather the request came from surrounding towns. That is why the townspeople were surprised when Teresa started killing "people" - because they never knew that they has yoma living in town. The yomas lived peacefully in town and went to surrounding towns to eat then came back and hid in that town. Teresa's monologue was also cut out which gives you an insight into Teresa and why she's such a cynic and smart-ass when dealing with people. What she said was "I always thought that my best feature was my long black hair, but the people I trusted sold my to the organization and on that day, I lost everything. To die as a beggar or to live as a tool of the organization - I didn' have much choice. It wasn't just me, either. It was like that for everyone who joined, no one ever willingly comes knocking on the organization's door. My body was cut open, too. I ceased to be human and became something else. In that moment, my cherished black hair, my black eyes - all the color drained from my bosy, leaving only these shining silver eyes." I thought that this was important as it highlights the importance of Clare asking of her own free will to become a claymore - the only one to ever do that. Another thing is that they extended the battle between Teresa and the four sent to kill her. This was the middle of Volume 3 to the middle of Volume 5. 9-11 - The Slashers - Minor changes only also. 2 scenes were added for Raki - one where the inn keeper brings him food and the one where he was waiting for Clare to return. Also, the explanation for what and why there are male awakened beings were given by Miria in the manga instead of Ermita (guy in black with Galatea). They also made it more obvious that Miria was talking about Ophelia (or as people I know call her, Pedophelia) in the anime's flashback. They also had that bitchin' bagpipe music. This was middle of Volume5 to the middle of Volume 6. 12-14 - Endless Gravestones - A scene with Raki practicing with the sword was added in. Raki and Clare kiss scene was also extended a little. Ophelia mentions "Dark Alicia" in the manga instead of "Windcutter Flora" in the anime. Ophelia also toyed with Clare longer in the manga after she fell off the cliff with her arm hacked off. Most notable change for me is when Ilena tells Clare "Live Clare, your staying alive is the only proof that Teresa ever existed." In the anime, she tells it while standing over Clare with both arms lopped off. In the manga, she tells her that during the campfire scene while looking up at the stars with the flickering off the fire reflecting on her face which makes it more visually striking and memorable than it was in the anime IMO. Takes place between the middle of Volume 6 to the beginning of Volume 8. 15-17 - The Witch's Maw - The manga showed Clare searching for Raki a whole lot more than it did in the anime. Clare also reveals herself to be a Claymore to the townspeople before she left in the manga. It is also explained in the manga that the reason Dauph put also those poles all of the place was to create a distorted yoki presence and to keep Claymores from freely swinging their swords in that place, giving ordinary yomas the advantage. The only other massive difference was that when Riful revealed her true form, she also notes that she was being spied on by the organization and wonders when they were able to make something like "taht." Alicia was nearby spying on her with a guy in black asking if she has a chance at defeating Riful to which she mentions that she could deal about 50% damage on Riful after which, she'd end up dead. 18-21 - Campaign to the North - Huge amount of differences. a bunch of random Claymores arguing while Miria was talking aside from Deneve/Undine confrontation. Also, Instead of Flora saying Jean should come up front in one go, in the manga, Jean thought Flora was telling her to shut-up. When Flora tells her to come up front since she is also a single digit, Jean hesitates for a moment, looks at Clare, and sez "ah, yes" and walks to the front. It also shows a scene with Clare and her team mates before she went to where Miria, Helen and Deneve are at. 19) During the fight with the awakened beings, the first one that attacked tried to eat the girl that Miria rescues in the anime. The turtle like AB that Flora and Undine's team fought also has the ability to raise yoki levels in his opponents and force them to go over their limit. That is what he did to Undine before Deneve kicked her out of range. He then tried to do that to Clare and Deneve and was surprised that they went over their limit without awakening. The 2 Claymores he tried to get them to kill each other, in the manga he tried to get them to awaken as well. Raki also never came across the four Claymore swords marking the graves of Eva and her team. Think about it, it doesn't make sense. Why would the four be buried in the middle of town and who would have known in that town to bury them that way when Clare had to instruct the towns people how the bury the injured Claymore that escaped Riful earlier. Instead, Raki just runs into Priscilla in the manga. 20) In the manga, Flora and Clare had a "match" to see which technique is stronger/faster and concedes that Clare has beaten her out of the title of "fastest sword." There was no Jean in that scene, nor does Flora have any knowledge of Ilena nor does Clare ever reveal to anyone whose arm she has. Helen also never walks in on Deneve and Undine in the manga and the anime also added a bunch of scenes using random Claymores and the one with Helen giving food to the Claymore on watch duty. Also, Raki along with Isley and Priscilla are in an elegant mansion instead of travelling towards Pieta. Raki never knew that there are a bunch of Claymores in Pieta. 21) There is no massive "OMG Priscilla, that cute girl who has been all over me is a yoma!" revelation for Raki. Death is certain, the hour is not ~Gankotsuoh

Wow so many difference between the manga and anime... I watched till ep 22. It's so... creepy... All the Claymores are dieing... or dead... And Clare went berserk? I wonder if Raki will protect Priscilla... -_- Hope not~

Right now I kind of like Priscilla... /shrugs~ She seems to innocent, cute in a way, she's like an Angel almost. o^_^o Haven't seen 22 yet. Not sure if I saw 21 yet, but I think I have. -------

i've never read the manga, but i'm 'obsessed' with the anime...i've been addicted since episode 1..and got 'obsessed' after episode 5 <3 episode 22 just came out~~ aaah~

@Skyl Dood, I have no idea where your sister got that idea, but I haven't seen any indication of it in either the manga or the anime. As for me, I believe that there is a definite link between them - that common thread being the connection between Clare and Priscilla. I believe that Priscilla identified herself with Clare from way back when she first awakened and that is the reason why out of all the people and towns she slaughtered, Clare was the only one she didn't kill even in a berserk mode. I believe that even now, even in her "innocent" state (of course not as badly off as she is portrayed in the anime), she is still harboring some guilt of some type and that the reason why Raki survived an encounter with her and why she became attached to her is that "he smells good" - ie, he is carrying Clare's scent after being with her for so long. Who knows, only time can tell if I'm right or wrong about this guess. difference between 22 and manga 22 covers most of the first quarter of the 12th volume. Of course, in the anime, while they are fighting, the other Claymores are getting slaughtered by the other Awakened Beings instead of just standing around while Rigald attacks the fab four. The action is also continious instead of the crap they did with the anime breaking the action up so that Raki can have some screen time. Also, minor thing - inthe previous ep, When Rigald roars the second time around, the manga shows a couple of Claymores cower in fear of him and one drops her sword modified - for some reason, I somehow broke the code and it was opening the previous spoilers I made on this page. It should be fixed now for those who wants to know. Death is certain, the hour is not ~Gankotsuoh

I agree with Skyl the anime is great but its like every episode is a cliffhanger from one to the next its really killing me. I hope they end the first season withough completely sealing a chance of a continuation. Claymore seems like its going to be another long, but awesome anime series.

Getting a bit excited here. >.<` (XD) [edit] Found it and saw it today! There's like... two Clayamore left now against Rigardo, and now Raki is running towards Pieta. I wonder what will happen when Priscilla and Easley get there later on as well... Should be interesting... the series is almost over now. T-T` -------

I love Claymore, it's definetely one of my favorite series ever. The whole fantasy setting and the way the characters develop. It's simply quite intriguing.
