OMG! Yae are right, Deidalus-san! I closed Opera, then opened Firefox, then back to Opera again. That's messing with the game over 3 times! I suppose it's the browser. Yeah, it is. Don't close your browser/s then. I don't find it annoying right now, maybe later. Hahaha... :D Gomen-ne. ^^; "To be forgotten, is worse than death." |

I kinda figured it was browser related. I'm always switching off, going to a different site, and suchlike. Tabs are the shite. |

You shape yourself, that has always been my claim to life. |

@Wolf - Well, yeah, you do, but you listen to somebody or pay attention to something somewhere. Perhaps a more practical term would be "affects" rather than "shapes"... though the symantics are quite the same. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

Yeah that is true but it is still up to you to let that circumstance affect you. I saw a guy crossing the street late night in philly. I looked at my friend in the driver seat and said, do you ever wonder if that man will ever realize that he changed someone's outlook on life just by corssing the street? |

I'm glad you guys see my point. Is there really such a thing as an individual? I mean with over 2 billion people in the world now, already conveniently arranged by country, there is a very slim chance that any one person has a frame of mind completely unique to them. It's amazing how much goes into making a person and simultaneuosly how much a person can find someone just like him/her somewhere in the world that you have to finally realize that society in and of itself has the same final message of general survival. There are far too many stupid people in the world...like people who went to see "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" this weekend, all five of them. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3
|
I look at that kind of stuff in terms of survival. Humans have been around long enough to adapt a general idea for surviving. People who get it into their head that breathing is a bad thing, don't tend to last very long you know? But you flip that same toekn and everyone has somewthing that makes them unique in a certain way bc if we all had the exact same ideas then a world changing catastrophe could blink us out completely. It reminds me of the lemmings... |

What browser are yae using then? Tabs work fine for me, so as long as I don't close the browser itself. "To be forgotten, is worse than death." |

@Wolf, I get ya but we are lemmings, just there can be vaguely different factions of our conformity. A world changing catastrophe WILL wipe us out. A meteor, global warming, the sun over-heating...we're all screwed(or at least our grandchildren are)...that's fun. |

Amana - Firefox, if I close the tab, or go to a different website then return, game pops up as required once again. |

HAHAHA yeah I hear that. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's still mother nature's job to mix it up a bit. Ya know? Ahh I am being sucked into this thread! This is my last post for the night. I'll see ya'll around. |

Glad to see you like it here Wolf, see ya tomorrow. This is my last post tonight too, I can't wait till Tuesday for Kingdom Hearts 2, that's the whole point of this week. Good Night! |

Ah well, I am using Opera at the moment. I tried with IE too, but it's totally screwed! For that 'Lucifer' (dog? where was that? lol), I know a dog named 'Lucied' in Wild Arms 2, but he was more of a sealed guardian and is not really pure evil. Either way, Lucifer sounds more of a cat's name for me. Then ah remember this cat in 'Babe' (about the pig). She sure is evil! Forgot the name though. :P "To be forgotten, is worse than death." |

I was refering to a real life dog... or one in a movie or something. IE is... garbage, especially mine, since it was hacked up. |

Lol, Dninja there is a good mnemonic for DABDA thing. Here is my "edited" version. Drink Alcohol Before Doing Astronomy Yes, well I know how everybody feels. Its basic to disagree with suicide because its natural for most to struggle to keep life no matter what. I just think that this high respect for life is just a thing instilled in people by society, in reality I believe people are over treasuring the concept and that live is as grand as it is thought to be. However, you say you enjoy life, then by all means keep what works for you. Really no need to worry abut offending anybody here, this is all just a matter of opinion. I like other's opinions even if the completely disagree. I think phooz ball is quite more dangerous than air hockey. (personally expeirence) I find that living 80 years of life is just more than necessary. I could live to be 80, and be doing exactly what I am now. But that is exactly what I don't want. If you ask why kill oneself now when it will happen anyways. I answer with this: because die now; you know what you will miss in life, but die later; you have no clue what you are missing in death. Daedalus, I think the farewell letter is a great idea! ROQ, you were right on track! Why did you stop! My thoughts, though they disagree with the majority of society, were completely shaped by it or at least from it. Everything around one makes one who one is today, from the genes ones born with to the enviroment they grow up in. Everything shapes a person into who they are. I don't beleive in fate making me who I am. Was I fated to be a member of gendou, or just cause and effect from watching to much anime? |

Yeargh.... now that damn game popped up when I went "back" from a Gendou page... wierd. Must have a timeout mechanism or something. Jomunga - I think the value of life isn't given by society, but by nature itself. Humans, as well as all living creatures (lemmings excepted... I think), only have on primary thought: survive. Whether by progyny or simply longevity. Living things don't like to die. Therefore, it is almost threatening to a human to grasp the concept of suicide, it goes completely against living nature. On the other hand, humans have been defying the laws of nature since they learned to walk on two feet. |

I do think it is natural, but just overly glorified. |

I do think it is natural, but just overly glorified. -Jomunga Life may be overly glorified, but like you said people try to live. That's why I try to make this trip a joyful one. You all have interesting points, especially Jomunga's missing out on life and missing out on death one... *wants to find out if there's an afterlife really bad now XD* I've only had to play that Kaminari game once, and ever since then it has been sitting a little ways after "Anime Music". |

Heh, finding out if there is an afterlife is the last thing I want to know, no pun intended. I hold absolutely no value in knowing the future. That's like reading the end of a book first. *shrugs* I'd rather take the wrong path and fall on my face then always take the right path without ever having to think about it. |
