[City Gates - Imelda]

As Wren finally came upon the gates of a large Imeldan city, she paused a moment to stretch and yawn, tired from traveling on foot and glad to have finally found a city. If I only didn't lose my map while fighting those bandits awhile back, Wren thought, Along with about half of my supplies. It's a good thing I finally came upon this city, I really need to restock...

As she stood at the gate, a few guards approached her. Wren knew the routine, they needed some sort of proof that she lived there or they had to search her. They noticed her dagger hanging from its case on her back, and approached her with even more cautiously than they had been. Wren sighed, then took a paper out of her pocket and presented it to one of the guards.

"It's my membership certificate for the Aigle's Gale Guild," Wren said, "Or in other words, it's proof that I'm not here to do any harm. I just want to restock my supplies and maybe spend the night here. If you need anymore proof, I have a few more documents around that I'll be glad to show you as well."

Wren smiled sweetly at the guard who was looking over her paper, and he looked at her with all seriousness.

"We will still have to do a body search." The guard said.

"That's fine by me." Wren replied, although she was hoping that that guards might relax a bit on their regulations this time so they wouldn't have to do a body search on her. Not that she was hiding anything, she simply just didn't like it when others were touching her in strange places.

Wren put the backpack she had on the ground, and let one of the other guards search through that while the one who had looked at her membership certificate did a body search on her. When they were done, they still looked at her a bit cautiously, after all, she was an outsider; but nonetheless they let her into the city.

Wren wandered aimlessly around the city before finally she came upon a small outdoor marketplace that seemed overcrowded, lacking the space to expand because it was in such a large city. But it's good that I at least found someplace to restock, Wren thought, And that's all that matters at the moment.

With that thought in mind, Wren made her way into the marketplace. She only hoped that she had enough money to buy all of the supplies that she desperately needed.

[City Ruins - Near Imelda Border]

Footsteps echoed the corridor as he walked, observing this surroundings and then recording them into a book. He saw skeletons everywhere as well as some equipment that had lacked his interest. So far, he had only encountered corpses, but all were rotting, and none of them were fresh.

"My oh my. . I can even feel the rumors of travelers never returning now that I've seen this up close"

As he spoke, he noticed that his torch had burned out. Then he saw a faint glimpse of light at the end of the path. Xenkar continued to walk towards the light, knowing that he had reached the entrance to the surface.

He spots a person peering into the hole who had long hair (Miranda).

"Heeeeelllllooooooooo!? Is that the exit to the surface? I've been trapped in this labyrinth for several days"

Even though he already knew that it was the exit. He only asked to start a conversation.

||City of Imelda||

Zen was walking inside the city, her scowl evident in her face. The Princess of Lucine had ordered her to retrieve a piece of document for her to deliver to the young ruler. She was told that it was an important document only to find out that it was just an order letter.

"I am a skilled ninja not an errand messenger! I couldn't believe this woman at all." she hissed, not pleased to her given assignment.

She bought a piece of apple on her way to the gates when she bumped into a girl. She looked accusingly to the said girl and she thought she's in her late teens, probably a young traveler of some sort, observing with a backpack and a hand dagger safely encased and swaying on her sides. Her apple almost fell on the dirt but able to manage to catch it and took a bite.

Being blessed or rather cursed with a sharp tongue, she didn't miss insulting the young girl before leaving and keeps on shouting some retorts on her back.

"Watch your step little lady, daddy will be crying when she see her daughter wailing with a bleeding knee."

xXXXxx

Being a kunoichi, it's not common for her to walk straight into the front gates and do daily inspection. She went into the corner, just beside the city walls. The kunoichi pass into the forest and headed her way into the castle.

She was far from the main city and was wandering along the forest, almost the far end of Imelda's territory when she noticed a woman, full of bandages on her body, easing her way into some city ruins that she thought as one part of Imelda's territory that was devastated due to the lack of protection from the kingdom. She did watch her stride into her path and Zen manage to stop and study her features before heading her way back to the country of Lucine.

[Imelda - Marketplace]

Alaric had been sitting in a tavern on the edge of the marketplace enjoying a drink when Ramirez had suddenly
flown out and into the marketplace. Alaric looked out of the door, finished his drink and placed a few coins
on the table. He then rose from his seat and walked out into the marketplace.

After wandering around a while he noticed that Ramirez had landed on the shoulder of a young woman who had brown
hair and was carrying a dagger. Ramirez was chirping happily as Alaric approached.

Alaris: Excuse me if he has bothered you... Ramirez...

Alaric made a gesture with his hand indicating that Ramirez should come to him.

Ramirez: Pretty lady.

Ramirez then took off and flew to Alaric's shoulder. Alaric looked at Ramirez then turned to the woman in front
of him.

Alaric: I hope you behaved.

He turned to look at Ramirez.

Ramirez: Pretty lady...

Ramirez then took flight and flew into the direction of the coast. Alaric sighed and then shrugged his shoulders.

Alaric: Well he is kind of a free soul and he was telling the truth afterall...

He then smiled and waved to the woman as he walked away.

Alaric: Well, have a nice day...

[Greyson Walld - City Ruins - Near Imelda Border]

Ruins were always a good place to start looking for treasure, at least that's what Greyson thought. Two hours, and no results; only bandit attacks. The dried blood on his spear looked grungy compared to the sleek metal it rested on. Greyson walked along various building complex that were destroyed, hoping some valuable relic would be waiting for him in the debris. He shoved part of a wall to the side, and when he peered in the small crevice, a sly smile inched across his face.

Greyson: Bingo.

She shoved the wall away even more just so he could fit in the small opening. With what little light entered the opening, it reflected itself of what seemed to be a jade vase. Greyson picked it up, and turned it all around, looking for any imperfections, and sometimes, getting caught up admiring his own reflection. Satisfied, he tucked the vase under his arm and exited the opening. With his free hand, he brushed dust off of his clothes. While he wasn't paying attention, a ruffian came up to him, admiring the vase.

Bandit: That's a pretty nice lookin' vase you got yourself there. Why don'tcha hand it over to me so I can keep it safe fo' ya.

With a sly smile, the bandit withdrew a dagger and held it close to Greyson's torso. Greyson could not help but throw his head back and laugh.

Greyson: You mean this piece of old garbage?

He looked at the vase in thought, a cunning smile coming to his face.

Greyson: Go ahead... Take it!

Gryeson turned the vase upside down and slammed it over the bandit's head, causing his head to get caught inside the pottery. As if by reflex, Greyson kicked him in the stomach. In pain, the bandit leaned over, only to be met with a strike of Greyson's spear's shaft, shattering the vase, and striking him across the face. As the bandit struggled to get up, Greyson had his spear at the man's neck.

Greyson: Get your disgusting filth out of my presence before I'm forced to spill you blood.

The bandit took Greyson's warning and fled the scene as fast as he could. Greyson looked to what was left of the broken vase and sighed, but kept walking along. He spent a few minutes looking around the ruins for more treasure before he came across a woman (Miranda), looking into a strange hole. Greyson thought to himself "Oi... that hole has got to be a treasure trove. Let's see what that woman's up to."

Greyson: Excuse me, miss! What's a woman like you doing in a place like this?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kaia Seybold -Imelda, Marketplace-

Kaia sat in the gloom of a smoke filled tavern, nursing a glass of ale between her slender fingers.
She was in a bad mood.
For the past couple of days she had been making various journeys for what had seemed to be promising relic sites, but had come away with nothing.
To add insult to injury she had to fight off various groups of bandits just to get to her site and had used up precious amounts of poison dispatching them.
That was why she was here.
To regroup, get some supplies and hopefully meet someone useful.
With a group of like-minded people, perhaps from her guild, the much more dangerous and infinitely more promising sites could be explored.

She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see a beefy faced man leering at her. She observed him darkly.

Kaia: Get out of my face this instant.

The clearly drunk man didn't bat an eye but exhaled lustily, stuffing her nose with noxious alcoholic fumes.

???: Come on, now, sweet-cheeks, don't be like that! You see me and my friends were just wondering... how much would it cost for us to have a little fun with a pretty girl like you?

Kaia rolled her sleeves up, anger rising like a red haze.

Kaia: Why nothing, for you, my services are free.

with that she drew back her fist and punched the man full in the face, feeling a crunch as she shattered all the bones in his nose.
Quickly a full fledged bar fight was raging, shattered glass and bar stools flying through the air.

~Sometime later~
Thud!

Kaia skidded in the sand outside the bar, barely managing to land on her feet.
She scowled at the closed door of the tavern, wandering how the bar man had managed to surprise her enough to throw her out.

Kaia: Well, don't count on me ever coming back!!

[Marketplace - City - Imelda]

Wren knew she had gotten lucky with going to this market, she didn't even have to spend half an hour there to find most of the supplies she desperately needed. She bought quite a bit of food, as well as some herbs, along with other various supplies that the bandits had stolen from her. Just as she was about to leave, a lady who looked about the same age as Wren, maybe a bit older, bumped into Wren. The lady had caught the apple that she had been eating, and looked at Wren angrily.

"Watch your step little lady," the girl said, "Daddy will be crying when she see her daughter wailing with a bleeding knee."

"Sorry." Wren quickly mumbled as the lady walked on, although she felt more like laughing than apologizing. Well, she's got a nasty attitude, Wren thought, And she's the one who bumped into me! The lady has some nerve to make it seem like it was my fault.

Wren smiled at the thought, and as she was thinking about the lady who had bumped into her, a parrot had landed on her shoulder, chirping happily. Wren looked at the bird, a bit confused.

"Uh, hello there," Wren said. This can't be a wild parrot since it's so friendly with humans, Wren thought, So it's owner has to be around here somewhere...

She started to walk out of the marketplace, in the direction the bird had come from, when a man approached her. He seemed a bit older than Wren, and had blonde hair. He was wearing normal clothes, yet it looked to wren that the accessories he had on were quite lavish and expensive.

"Excuse me if he has bothered you," the man said, "Ramirez..."

He made a gesture with his hand.

"Pretty lady." Ramirez said as it flew back to its owner. Wren giggled at the parrot's comment.

"I hope you behaved." The man said to Ramirez, who had perched on his shoulder.

"Pretty lady..." Ramirez said again, then he took off from his owner again.

"Well," His owner said with a sigh, "He is kind of a free soul and he was telling the truth after all..."

He smiled and waved at Wren, then started to walk away.

"Well, have a nice day." the man said.

"You too," Wren said. Well, that's certainly strange, Wren thought with a smile, Or rather, interesting. To run into a man and his parrot who loves to wander. It seems like today is my lucky day, or something like that...

Finally, Wren managed to make it out of the marketplace without any other incidents, but as she left she saw a girl who looked about the same age as her, staggering as she managed to stand up, obviously hurt as she was yelling towards a building.

"Well, don't count on me ever coming back!!" the girl yelled.

Just after the girl had yelled that, Wren noticed some blood dripping down from her head, and ran over to the girl. She took out one of the herbs that she had bought at the market, and helped hold the girl up and she held the herb to the girl's head.

"Please try to keep yourself up for a bit, and try to relax," Wren said, "It seems as though you got hurt in the head just now..."

Wren concentrated her powers toward the herb and onto the girls wound. After about a minute of holding the herb to the girl's head, her head had stopped bleeding. Wren took the herb away, but she still helped hold the girl up. She inspected the girls head to see if it had completely healed, and noticed some small pieces of glass in the girl's hair.

"Glass?" Wren asked as she started to pick out some of the glass, "Why is there glass in your hair?"

Arden Wingshadow - Imelda | Marketplace

Arden walked around the marketplace, seems to be bored and looking for something.

"Ah... The fresh smell of a city... Its been quite a long time since I've been inside a city... Now for some ale to start."

Arden then went to find a tavern, when he saw a tavern, he immediately approaches it. But after a few steps. He sees the tavern door opened and it seems that the barman kicked a woman (Kaia) out of the tavern. He then looked at the woman as she scowled at the closed door of the tavern. Arden sighed.

"Well... There goes my ale."

He then looked again at the woman. Arden sees another woman that looked a year younger(Wren), treating the woman's wounds.

"Please try to keep yourself up for a bit, and try to relax," the other woman said, "It seems as though you got hurt in the head just now..."

He keep looking at the woman who were treating the wounds.

My... She is quite a healer... Using only those herbs without mixing them to treat the wounds... Quite a rare sight for me.

as she finished treating the wounds, she checked for some wounds left untreated. She then notices there was a glass on the wounded woman's hair. After she asked her why she got some shard of glasses on her hair... Arden decided to barge in.

"She probably got into a barfight, and probably some drunkards got her in the head with a glass... I saw her getting kicked out from that building... But I trust her that she was not the one who started it all, probably she is pissed off by some drunks troubling her... And hit them, starting the fight... And with that fight, there goes my ale time..."

@Zen - Try to be more wary of the distance. You made it sound as if my character was within arms length of the city and that Lucine was only a few steps away. Also, the ruler of Lucine is still a Princess, as she isn't married. Not really a big deal, but I thought I would bring it up anyway. Finally, you'll have to give me a while to come up with something for your character to do, since you are headed back to Lucine and aren't around any of the other characters at the moment.

@Anyone in the marketplace that decides to stick around the boy - I have the young boy's mini-profile up on the first post. I haven't decided if he will be a major or minor part of the story yet, but for the time being, he is a plot related character. Just wanted to let you all know that.

[City Ruins - Near Imelda Border]

Miranda was startled and frantically reached for her scythe as a stranger suddenly called out from within the caverns. She leaned forward to get a better look and saw a young man at the bottom of the hole looking up at her. She let out a small sigh as the realization that the cavern had already been searched hit her, then answered the young man's question.

"Yeah, this is the only exit I can see! It looks like you're going to need some help though! Wait right there!"

She turned and bent over the body of the bandit that had grabbed her earlier. She took the rope that he had planned to tie her up with and looked over the body.

"Well, at least you turned out to be sort of useful."

She drove the spear point at the bottom of her scythe as deep into the ground as she could before proceeding to tie one end of the rope to the pole. She pulled on it to test the strength and then threw the other end down into the hole.

"Better start climbing, because I won't be pulling you up!"

Miranda put her hands on her hips and waited to see if the stranger would be able to climb out on his own.

'If he's really been down there for days, then he's had lots of time to search those caverns. Maybe I can talk him into telling me about everything he saw down there.'

As she was waiting on the stranger, another voice called to her from behind. At first she assumed that it was another bandit, but after turning around to get a look at the individual, she noticed that he was more respectable looking. She smiled, relieved that she wouldn't have to deal with another lowlife while her scythe was being used as a grappling hook.

"Well, I was here to take a look around this cave, but that fell through. Almost got turned into some greasy idiot's plaything, found some guy starving to death in the caverns, you know, typical Guild stuff. What about you?"

Miranda took a quick look at her scythe and rested her hand on the top of the blade.

"You wouldn't happen to be in league with this guy, would you? Because if you try anything shady I'll have to leave him down there."

[City Marketplace - Imelda]

A young boy was weaving through the crowded streets of the main marketplace, breathing heavily as he attempted to get away from the group of men chasing him.

"I thought that chick said he was Avirian?! How is he staying ahead of us like this?!"

One of the other men shoved an older woman aside as the group fought their way through the crowd to try and catch the young boy.

"Just keep an eye on him! Ray and Tasha are going to cut him off ahead!"

The young boy overheard two of the men behind him shouting at each other and started to panic. He started to quickly look around at the people in front of him, trying to pick out anyone who might be waiting to grab him. Eventually, the fear overcame him and he ducked into a nearby street that had much fewer people on it. He was forced to break into a full run, as there were no longer any other people around to slow his pursuers. He desperately fought to keep his body moving, but he had already run out of breath and quickly slowed to jogging speed.

"There he is! He's slowing down!"

The men had managed to work their way through the crowd and were now on the same street as the boy.

"Not too bright, is he?"

One of the other men in the group of four started to laugh a little as he began to jog towards the fleeing child.

"Tasha? Wasn't she that bartender that broke a glass over your head for groping her that time you got loaded drunk?"

The other man chuckled a little as he ran alongside his partners.

"I don't recall. Things got a little fuzzy after the eighth pint."

The men laughed amongst themselves as they picked up their pace.

"Come on. We better hurry it up before he manages to slip back into a crowd."

The young boy was looking over his shoulder and could see that the men were quickly catching up. He rounded the corner and ran into a group of people outside of a bar, tripping over one of them and skidding to a halt on the ground. He was breathing heavily and was wincing from the pain caused by the fall. Nonetheless, he still struggled to get to his feet.

~Imelda Marketplace~Arden, Kaia and Wren~

Kaia stood outside the tavern feeling woozy, something hot and sticky was oozing down cheek. Suddenly a girl with brown hair (wren) rushed over to her, retrieving various herbs from her bag, then taking Kaia's arm and offering support

"Please try to keep yourself up for a bit, and try to relax," she said, "It seems as though you got hurt in the head just now..."

a cooling solution of herbs was placed on her head, Kaia flinched initially, noticing her injuries for the first time, then sighed and relaxed as the pain immediately eased. she noticed that the wound had stopped bleeding.

That's amazing! This girl is a miraculous healer... just the kind of partner I'd like in a dangerous situation... and judging from her weapons she's not a bad fighter either

"Glass?" the girl asked as she started to pick out some of the glass, "Why is there glass in your hair?"

Kaia opened her mouth to answer when to her surprise a stranger did the honors.

Kaia grinned, "You, my dear sir, are remarkably observant. And what you say is quite true, I was a bit distracted what with being busy breaking someone's nose, and it seems one of his buddies, got in a lucky hit."

She winced at she put her hand to her head, then felt a rim satisfaction remembering it was nothing to the chaos she had caused to the occupants of the bar. She glanced at the window just in time to see various people peering out hastily looking away. It appeared as though they were going to wait for her to leave. Cowards...

She turned to the girl who healed her wound

"What you did for me... that was amazing! It seems to be almost fully healed! !"

Then she glanced at the man who seemed to know exactly what was going on despite her never having seen him before.

"Along with that guys' psychic powers it seems as if I am in pretty cool company"

Then suddenly realizing she actually hadn't thanked the girl, she blushed a little and faced her healer.

"Ummm, so thanks and everything. My name is Kaia, Kaia Seybold proud member of Aigle's Gale Guild. I'm in your debt."

She paused giving the other two a chance to introduce themselves but before they could a loud commotion was heard in the streets.
Suddenly a boy ran towards them, terror in his eyes. He tripped over Kaia's foot, landing heavily, but quickly struggling to his feet.

"Hey, hey, hold on a moment, are you ok?" Kaia asked with concern.

She looked up and saw a group of men standing in front of her, a menacing look in their eyes. Instinctively she moved the boy behind her and her two companions then faced the men.

"What do you want?" she asked curtly.

[Liel Vanguard]
[City Ruins - Near Imelda Border]

After receiving information about the city ruins, Liel headed straight for it, since she is practically broke. Hiking several ruins here and there, she stumbled some dead mercenaries, before discovering Miranda, who is trying to get a person out of a cavern, and Greyson. Liel sighed, hoping that they did not snatched all the goodies. She greeted the two of them.

"Hello there." Liel closed her eyes and smiled, before continuing. "So uh, mind if I join you guys?"

Then Liel takes a closer look at the guy that Miranda was trying to save from a deep cavern. And she knows who he is.

"And how do you ended up in this ditch?" Liel sighed.

Miranda had a suspicious look on Xenkar, and Liel tries to clear that up in case they decided to work together.

"Well, the guy that you're trying to save, he's just a typical adventurer, although he's not a fun guy to work with..." She shrugged her shoulders.

||Kingdom of Lucine|| Princess' throne||

"You're free to rest for now,Zen. I will summon you when I needed your help again." the princess finally said before she dismissed the kunoichi.

Zen arrived at the kingdom and immediately report to the young princess. If she's annoyed, she didn't show it and just keep it to herself. After being dismissed, she wander around the city. She wore casual clothes and went into different taverns. She has two reasons on visiting the foul smelled bar where different types of people hang out. First, she's looking for mercenary missions and second, she just want to drink to ease her annoyance and take a little rest.

xXXXx

She entered one of the taverns and went straight to the bar stool. The bartender quickly approach her as he ask for her drink. As soon as her drink was given to her, she slip a pouch of silvers unto the bartender before asking him quietly.

"I need some single job and I need to ask something. Do you know some member of the well-known guild of Aigle's Gale? More information, I might give some more." she casually asked. She didn't look at the bartender and he knows that it's not safe to remember her face.

???: "I don't have anyone whom I know as a member of that guild in person but I heard a group of men were searching some treasures near the borders of Imelda. They said the ruins have left some valuable loots. I presume they are bandits considering their clothes so be careful. As for your job, no we don't have available job for now"

"I don't need your fake concern to me Mister." she commented as the man just simply smiled and approach the other patrons of the bar.

She continued drinking as she study the people inside the tavern. She saw bunch of different kinds of people, ranging from simple travelers, hidden bandits and merchants.

[Marketplace - Imelda][Elnica Oaxith]

Elnica smiled at the elderly lady as she payed for the food she bought. The Imeldan Marketplace was certainly the place if you wanted to restock your supplies. Elnica was quite lost her first few hours here, but thanks to the kind people, she already got most of her supplies she needed to continue her travels. She was about to leave the marketplace, but as she walked a small boy suddenly ran past her, followed by a rough group of men, evidently chasing him.

"I thought that chick said he was Avirian?! How is he staying ahead of us like this?!"

The word "Avirian" struck Elnica's interest, so she decided to follow the boy, not passing on the chance of asking a few questions.

Despite only being here for a few hours, Elnica already knew her way around the marketplace, she is the type that doesn't forget a road she traveled. Due to that, she was able to cut through most of the crowd and got in front of the group of men.

Suddenly, as Elnica was following the boy, the boy ran into a group of people outside the local bar as he tripped and landed heavily. He quickly struggled to get back on his feet, but he was stopped by the person he tripped over, a young girl around Elnica's age.

"Ah, this doesn't look quite good," Elnica looked behind as she whispered to herself, seeing the men already catching up.

Elnica quickly went near the group of people, seeing the young girl already taking action, moving the boy behind her and her companions.

"What do you want?" Elnica heard the young girl ask.

The men had menacing looks in their eyes, enough to probably scare a little kitten away.

"Whatever they want, I'm sure it's nothing good," interjected Elnica as she too stepped in, joining the young girl and her companions.

Serafi was in her reach, but she didn't want to create a scene in the middle of the marketplace, so she waited for the group of men to respond, in a provocatively or gentlemanly way.

"This girl looks familiar though, same goes to that other girl who's treating the former's wound. I wonder if I have seen them before..."

Arden Wingshadow | Imelda - Marketplace

"You, my dear sir, are remarkably observant. And what you say is quite true, I was a bit distracted what with being busy breaking someone's nose, and it seems one of his buddies, got in a lucky hit."

The wounded woman spoke after Arden take a guess on what happened before. She then turned into the other woman who was treating her wound.

"What you did for me... that was amazing! It seems to be almost fully healed! !"

She looked at Arden.

"Along with that guys' psychic powers it seems as if I am in pretty cool company"

Arden chuckled.

"Ah, it was just a lucky guess, no psychic powers were involved with that."

The wounded woman suddenly blushed and looked at her healer again.

"Ummm, so thanks and everything. My name is Kaia, Kaia Seybold proud member of Aigle's Gale Guild. I'm in your debt."

Aigle's Gale... I've been hearing much about them during my travels...

Before Arden got a chance to introduce himself, a young boy tripped over Kaia's foot. He sees a group of man chasing the boy. Kaia then covers the boy behind her as they approach. Arden studied the boy's clothing, it was tattered and somewhat resembles what those Avirian clothing.

"What do you want?" Kaia asked the group.

"Whatever they want, I'm sure it's nothing good," Another stranger stepped in. It was another woman.

Arden sighed.

"You guys are lame... Having a hard time chasing that boy, and on top of that, his physiques are weak compared to you guys... I could catch the boy easily if I were you. But, doing that would make me look like a bad guy to the girls here."

He waited for the group to react, as he waited, he got his hands ready to draw his weapons.

[ Xenkar Worldwake | City Ruins - Near Imelda Border]

The young woman threw a rope down to me as I thanked her for her help while climbing. Midway upward, I heard her say You wouldn't happen to be in league with this guy, would you? Because if you try anything shady I'll have to leave him down there

I start to climb faster and finally reach the top, taking a moment to look at the woman and I noticed that she seemed to be some sort of adventurer, perhaps a fellow guild member. From where I stood I saw a man talking to her, her replies make me judge that he is a stranger to him. The man had a bandage on his nose and a hairstyle similar to an eagle. He seemed to have a ponytail and wore one of those fur coats similar to certain individuals I saw shouting at me when I looked into a dimensional gate the first time I used hundred blade fury.

After their conversation I say to the woman who helped me out of the hole

“You peered into the hole looking for something, and if not looking for something specific you wanted to explore this labyrinth.”

“At the very least, I can let you read this report I wrote. *Xenkar hands Female Stranger (Miranda) a large book* It is about 1354 pages long so take your time reading it. This is only a copy therefore you may keep it.

Another woman appeared whom he happened to recognize.

"And how do you ended up in this ditch?" Liel sighed.

Xenkar: It was intentional. I accepted a request from a librarian in guild who needed someone to explore this cavern and record its contents so they may be put into the archive. Also, I won’t lie that I’m not a fun guy to work with . . . So . . . What brings you here Liel?

[Greyson Walld - City Ruins - Near Imelda Border]

The woman who Greyson approached turned around a bit abruptly, as if he had startled her a little, but soon regained composure.

Miranda: Well, I was here to take a look around this cave, but that fell through. Almost got turned into some greasy idiot's plaything, found some guy starving to death in the caverns, you know, typical Guild stuff. What about you?

Greyson could not help but laugh once more, though it wasn't sarcastic. He really did sense a touch of humor in her voice.

Greyson: You make it sound like that's your daily routine.

Greyson chuckled more and addressed her question.

Greyson: Some treasure hunting, a little of this, a bit of that. My family, er, my father runs a treasure shop back home in Lucine. Well, i can't really call it home anymore since I hardly spend any time there. But he's too old and worn to go out looking for treasure, so he sends me to do it. Though I usually get distracted with guild things.

Greyson reached into his pocket and brought out his Guild ID, and handed it to Miranda.

Greyson: Greyson Walld, pleasure to meet you.

After Greyson introduced himself, a random woman (Liel) walked up to the hole, looked down inside it, then turned to Greyson and Miranda.

Liel: Hello there. So uh, mind if I join you guys?

Greyson had a quizzical look on his face; he didn't know who these people were, though he could feel that they would potentially be his comrades for a while. He looked to Miranda then back to Liel.

Greyson: I didn't know that there was anything to join. But I guess you could tag along if you wanted.

By this time, the man in the ditch (Xenkar) had made his way out of the hole. He handed a large volume to Miranda and explained that it detailed the insides of the cavern.

Greyson: Did you happen to see any... valuable artifacts while you were down there? If so, it might be worth it if I went to take a look for myself.

[City Marketplace - Imelda]

The girl who was wounded was about to respond to Wren's question, but before she could a man stepped into the situation.

"She probably got into a bar fight," The man said, "And probably some drunkards got her in the head with a glass... I saw her getting kicked out from that building... But I trust her that she was not the one who started it all, probably she is pissed off by some drunks troubling her... And hit them, starting the fight... And with that fight, there goes my ale time..."

Wren only nodded at his response. Well, that is a good explanation, Wren thought, But I'm pretty sure that this girl can talk for herself, he doesn't need to be butting into things...

"What you did for me," The girl said as Wren snapped out of her thoughts, "That was amazing! It seems to be almost fully healed!!"

Wren was shocked by the girl's reaction to Wren's healing, causing her to blush and even become a bit nervous. She tried to mutter that it wasn't a big deal, but she couldn't seem to get the words out of her mouth.

"Along with that guys' psychic powers," The girl said, "It seems as if I am in pretty cool company."

The man chuckled a bit at the girl's remark, and Wren smiled at it as well.

"Ah, it was just a lucky guess," The man said, "No psychic powers were involved with that."

The girl then turned to Wren, blushing.

"Ummm, so thanks and everything," The girl said, "My name is Kaia, Kaia Seybold proud member of Aigle's Gale Guild. I'm in your debt."

"Wren Goldcrest," Wren replied, "And I-"

Before Wren could say anymore, a small boy ran towards them, and tripped over Kaia, falling down to the ground and struggled as he tried to get back on his feet.

"Hey, hey," Kaia said, "Hold on a moment, are you ok?"

Wren saw that Kaia looked away from the boy towards something else in the street, and Wren too looked up and followed her gaze to a group of men standing in front of their group.

"What do you want?" Kaia asked.

"Whatever they want, I'm sure it's nothing good." Another girl said as she stepped forward and joined their group as well.

"You guys are lame," the man who was in Wren's group said, "Having a hard time chasing that boy, and on top of that, his physiques are weak compared to you guys... I could catch the boy easily if I were you. But, doing that would make me look like a bad guy to the girls here."

He put his hands on his weapons as he said this, and this made Wren chuckle a bit.

"So now you're trying to hit on us by making us think that you're a good guy, huh?" Wren said jokingly.

Wren then stepped out a bit in front of the group. Despite the situation, she still had a smile on her face. She held her hands loosely at her sides, not even thinking about taking out her dagger for now.

"Now, gentlemen," Wren said, "I'm sure that there is no need for violence here. We can talk things out, and fighting would cause quite a ruckus. However, if the need for violence somehow happens to come up, you should know that you're up against four experienced fighters here, who aren't afraid to take you men on."

Wren knew that she was lying about the experienced fighter part, she hardly even knew the people who gathered around her. She only hoped to intimidate these men with her comments, and to possibly get an explanation out of them as to why they were chasing the boy.

[City Marketplace - Imelda]

One of the men reached for the sword at his side, but his partner held out his hand to stop him.

"Don't bother. The city guard are constantly crawling around Imelda's cities. They would be here long before we managed to take them out."

The other man took his hand away from the sword's hilt and grumbled. One of the others whispered to the man who had stopped the fight from breaking out.

"She won't pay us unless we bring the kid back. What do you plan on doing about this?"

"We'll figure something out. Let's just get out of here before the Imeldans show up. It's not like Avirians are common down here, he won't be hard to track down."

The men backed off and headed into the bar nearby. They all glanced at the boy as they disappeared inside, who was watching the situation unfold. After leaving, the boy stood up slowly and dusted himself off. He looked around at the people who had protected him and dug around in his pocket for something. He pulled out a folded piece of paper and opened it up. The paper was an advertisement for the Aigle's Gale Guild.

"A-are you guild members?"

Before even getting a response, he reached into the small pouch he was carrying and took out an odd looking, bright green stone.

"Island. In L. . .Lew-see-in. I need to go. I can pay."

He held the stone up, but suddenly shifted away from the girls around him and turned his attention hesitantly towards Arden.

[City Ruins - Near Imelda Border]

Miranda watched as the group of strangers started to grow. The man that had climbed out of the hole seemed okay, and the female stranger vouched for him. The man handed her a large report about the cave and Miranda gave it an exasperated look.

"I think I'll pass on this, thanks."

Miranda pulled her scythe out of the ground and let it rest on her shoulder and looked over to the new girl.

"Like he said, there isn't really anything to join. We all just kind of wound up here at the same time. I suppose we are all part of the same guild though. Oh, right, that reminds me. My name is Miranda by the way. Some people call me 'Mira', but that's really your own personal preference."

As the group of strangers were talking amongst themselves, a medium sized airship from Avira plummeted to the ground in the distance. The sound of the crash was deafening and caused a large gust of wind to whip across the fields. Miranda raised her arm to block her face and shouted to no-one in particular.

"What the heck was that!?"

[Malvinder Leonheart][Imelda - Marketplace]

The regal man walked down the streets of Imelda but seemed to scare people off from him. His thoughts drifted off to a few days ago...

[Flashback - 3 Days Ago][Lucine - Royal Palace - Great Hall]

The commander of the Royal Guard to their Princes bowed as he arrived in her presence.

Princess Luna: "Oh stand up! You know I hate it when you bow."

Malvin: "My dear princess, it is considered to be etiquette of the most necessity to do so in the presence of royalty."

Luna: "Not when the royalty herself has told you at least a hundred times not to do so!"

Malvin chucked: "176 times actually. Tell me my lady, what has you so stressed?"

Luna: "I need you to go to Imelda for me."

A few seconds passed before he spoke: "Huh?"

Luna rolled her eyes: "Eloquent. Walker's spies have brought news of a possible presence of an Aviran in the city."

Malvin's eyes twitched: "And why does that merit sending me of all people? You did not think things through am I right?"

Luna: "S-Sorry.."

Malvin sighed at her kicked puppy look: "Sorry for yelling, let me guess, you want me to use this as a chance to get some technology from Avira right?"

Luna nodded: "If you can get your hands on some of what they have, the rebuilding of Lucine will be done in a ridiculously short amount of time."

Malvin: "That is true but it will be tricky..."

Luna: "I have a plan."

Malvin: "Your plans suck."

Luna: "H-how dare you say that to your princess??"

Malvin gave her a deadpan look: "Two words: War pig."

Luna screeched and covered her ears: "Never speak of that again! Now listen up, this is an order! Go to Lucine and try to slink into that Aigle's Gale Guild thing. It is the best bet you got! Now off with you."

[Flashback End]

Malvin: "Darn that princess...she's getting some big britches nowadays..."

He spotted a ruckus up ahead and saw several men surrounding a smaller group with a boy. Originally he planned to ignore it as it had nothing to do with him but something caught his eye.

The boy was wearing AVIRAN CLOTHING!

Malvin moved closer and heard one of them speak,

"Now, gentlemen," a woman said, "I'm sure that there is no need for violence here. We can talk things out, and fighting would cause quite a ruckus. However, if the need for violence somehow happens to come up, you should know that you're up against four experienced fighters here, who aren't afraid to take you men on."

He made a quick decision and stepped next to them and drew lifted one of his blades, *See profile photo*

Malvin: "Actually, make that five. My blades have not tasted blood in some time. Unless you want to feed them, Back. Down. Now.

The men then after a short argument with each other backed off and scuttled off into a nearby bar.

The boy then pulled out a folded piece of paper and opened it up. The paper was an advertisement for the Aigle's Gale Guild.

"A-are you guild members?"

Before even getting a response, he reached into the small pouch he was carrying and took out an odd looking, bright green stone.

"Island. In L. . .Lew-see-in. I need to go. I can pay."

Malvin's eyes widened at the stone. In his mind he spoke,

'Jackpot. Now to get into this shindig...'

[Marketplace - Imelda][Elnica Oaxith]

"You guys are lame," the man who was in the group in front of the bar said, "Having a hard time chasing that boy, and on top of that, his physiques are weak compared to you guys... I could catch the boy easily if I were you. But, doing that would make me look like a bad guy to the girls here."

Elnica agreed with that comment, however crowded it is in the marketplace, catching a young Avirian shouldn't be hard. Not that she wanted the boy to be caught, though.

"Now, gentlemen," said the girl with a dagger, "I'm sure that there is no need for violence here. We can talk things out, and fighting would cause quite a ruckus. However, if the need for violence somehow happens to come up, you should know that you're up against four experienced fighters here, who aren't afraid to take you men on."

"Experienced? Well I'm sure we can take them down but that is a quite bold move," thought Elnica, while subconsciously raising an eyebrow.

Another regal man entered as he said, "Actually, make that five. My blades have not tasted blood in some time. Unless you want to feed them, Back. Down. Now."

From the moment Elnica saw the man, she noticed a really bad air around him, which made her suspicious immediately. The man just gave her a bad feeling, like someone planning something. Elnica quickly waved of the feeling, and switched her attention to the group of men chasing the young boy.

One of the men reached for the sword at his side, but his partner held out his hand to stop him. They talked a bit, and backed off into the bar nearby.

"Well that's strange." Elnica decided to break to short silence among them.

Elnica looked back at the boy, who was slowly standing up as he dusted himself. He looked around at the people who had protected him and dug around in his pocket for something. He pulled out a folded piece of paper and opened it up. The paper was an advertisement for the Aigle's Gale Guild.

"A-Are you guild members?" asked the boy, stuttering a bit.

Elnica was about to respond, but before she could, the boy reached into the small pouch he was carrying and took out an odd looking, bright green stone.

"Island. In L. . .Lew-see-in. I need to go. I can pay."

He held the stone up, but suddenly shifted away from the girls around him and turned his attention hesitantly towards Arden.

"Lew-see-in. Lucine? Do you mean the islands of Usha?" asked Elnica, trying to get an answer from the boy.

Elnica, noticed how the regal man's eyes widened at the sight of the green stone, and immediately, she stepped in the way of the man, facing the boy with her back at the man, pretending to also take interest in the stone.

"Hey, I'm Elnica Oaxith, and like you guessed, I'm a member of the Aigle's Gale Guild," said Elnica as she pulled out her ID from inside her jacket, showing it to the boy.

"It's possible that the girl with the dagger and the other girl is a guild member too, but I can't say."
