Rhys had just stepped out of the crowd when he heard a voice muffled by a hood. "How about I bid 20,000 credits for the girl?" Rhys, pretending not to pay attention to the bidder, kept walking, laptop in hand, until he reached Apollo's table. "Apollo? Just hold the laptop. We can discuss the museum while I play."

Bemused, Apollo sighed and took the laptop as Rhys dropped his tone of forced pretense and addressed the man in the mask in his normal, casual voice. "Well, seeing as how no one else is willing to spend 20,000 credits on our life-size Victorian toy doll, let's set the terms." Rhys pulled out his two-piece cue and reassembled it for the coming game. "We'll each pay our 20,000 to our young maid who, by the way, has yet to retrieve our drinks." Rhys turned his head to the girl. "I'll repeat the order in case you've forgotten, a Tom Arnold for myself, and two mojitos, one for my elven friend and one for the Mighty Moshin Emo Ranger." He smiled as he handed the last two of his won credit chips to the girl before he met the masked man's piercing gaze with his own cheerful smile. "The winner gains her services for the evening. Are you in?"

The man laugh hard, amused by the answered he got, "I prefer scotch, shake, and rock" while piling up the chips on the pool table side. Waving his hand, "Please count it first. I just got this from the 'no balls' there" he was referring to the man that was down on his knee, still cannot grasped the taste of defeat. Or maybe his mental gone haywire after losing that much mount of money.

The man then cleared the table and left one ball on the pool table. "Then this is my term" he took two glasses from the nearest table and placed it on the center of the pool table, placed side by side and given enough space so a ball can pass through. "We, should exchange shoot, passing through the gap the glasses made. Who broke the glass lose the game, let see if your impact knowledge served you well in this game. Doctor"

Now the crowd had gathered near the table forming a circle and enough space for the hustlers to move around. The bet still on in the crowd and an upbeat music being played to match the competition. This event by far a rare event, most event finished by fist. But this time with sticks and a ball.

Hiro looked over at the pool table and smirked when he saw the game that would decide who gets the girl's service. He really wanted to watch the match from a closer seat but he didn't think he would find the information he was seeking would be discovered there. The seats around Hiro were almost all empty with the excitement the challenge had brought, and so he was getting quite a bit more attention from the servers. His wallet showed nearly no sign of the money he had wasted with no information on his target to show for it.

'Time is running short,' Hiro thought lookig around. There were still plenty of servers to ask for information but he was starting to lose hope that the information he was looking for could be found here. He looked around the empty tables and then to the sketch sitting on the table in front of him, hoping that the next server to approach him would give him the information he was seeking.

Lust narrowed her eyes at the two. Commanding her like she was some sort of slave. So what if she was owned by the winner of this game, for one night that is. That isn't the point. The point is that she was going to enjoy ditching the winner. She slowly made her way through the crowd that had gathered. Reaching the bar she called for the tender, "Samular! Tom Arnold... Mojito and scotch something something. For me, more vodka. I'm being tossed around like some sort of prize, console me." Lust stuck out her lower lip and gave Sam her puppy dog eyes. He laughed and handed her the drinks on a small black tray. "Lu, if I had the money, I'd buy you in a second. But I don't so get to work!" She stuck out her tongue and headed back to the pool table. She handed out the scotch, the mojito and then the Tom Arnold to the doctor. She quickly downed her shot, very unladylike but she never cared and never will. Surprisingly, the vodka was already having an effect, she felt slightly tipsy. She couldn't suppress a smile.

The traveler quickly grew lethargic, not enjoying the heavy drinking whatsoever.
Ludo and his men were enjoying themselves, however, waitresses constantly filing
over to their booth with more ale. The traveler sighed inwardly.

Across the room sat Marco, thoroughly pleased with himself. He had with him his
two subordinates, the drow. They too were imbibing without concern. While
gulping down his third mug of whiskey, one of the drow happened to look over at
the corner booth, and noticed his dark-skinned kin sitting with the rowdy group
of humans. At first he did not recognize his features, but then noticed the scar
on his left temple. He nearly spit out what he had been working so hard to
drink.

"Boss!" he whispered excitedly, fear in his eyes. "Boss! Baltyrr Rilynath is
here!"

"Who is this Ball-tier Ritalin'ath and why should I care?" Marco replied, slightly
inebriated.

"Baltyrr is the most feared drow in all of the surface cities! He is a legend
among our people. It has been said he single-handedly defeated Unterlippengwachs,
a large black dragon known for his excessive greed," he said.

"Hmmm... perhaps I could use his skills, considering I cannot rely on the two
of you," Marco said. "Go and meet his acquaintance."

The two drow looked at each other, neither wanting anything to do with him.
Marco pointed at Tebyl, the smart one.

"NOW."

Leaning against a trash can facing the long end of the table, Rhys smiled. He's obviously an assassin, he reasoned, and he's capable of making any precision shot that's available on the table. Given that Rhys had beaten all of his opponents beforehand without using english, this was set to be a standoff, and the game would go on forever because Rhys, at least on the pool table, was just as capable of the same precision. Unless...

"Fine, fine. But we shoot the ball from wherever the ball stops. WHEREVER it stops," he said, adding extreme emphasis on the word "wherever." "My ball?" He held his hand out.

The Doctor already know he thought judging by the word and gesture the doctor made. He pleased the doctor to go first, he must observed how good the doctor is. He walked to the side near the kitchen area, waiting on that corner. Which side doesn't matter, it's just that side is nearer to him. There he waited with grin on his face. Waiting for every 'blood test' they would have.

"Then let the game begin"

As he spread his hand wide open, like he is going to hug the room, just to emphasize the word he just said. But aside from what he done, the hood always covered his face. The light above the pool table made it harder to see his face, as the shadow blackened it.

Hiro gave a resigned sigh and stood up. 'Why is it that nothing seems to be to my favour when it comes to my requests?' he asked himself as he moved to the bar and sat down on one of the stools, the game that was about to be played not interesting him anymore. 'If he can't give me the information I need I'm obviously not gonna find it in here I guess.' Hiro put down the sketch on the counter facing the bar keeper as he walked over.

"Please tell me you know this person," said Hiro after turning down yet another offer of drink, a note of the despairation he felt touching his voice. He pulled out one of the one hundred dollar bills and placed it on the picture. With his results so far he was expecting little information, if any information.

Finding the pool table boring, Lust headed back to the bar for another drink. She just wanted the game to end already. All this uncertainty was annoying. She noticed the young short boy asking Sam something about a picture. Sam shook his head no. "Sammmmm make the game end already." She sighed, he poured her another drink. She looked over at the boy who was questioning Sam "Hi." She easily said to the short boy. "Your adorably short," She pointed out with a smile. Maybe he could entertain her until the game was over.

Ok, This will be the last short post. Period. I want only long descriptive posts from now on. Develop your character, explain why he or she is doing what he or she is doing it, start making references to the past as to why the character is a certain way. I want to know what side they are on, if they are on a side. why they choose that side. AM i understood? Lol, Seriously though. No more short posts >_> if you need help, message me kthx. or aim = ilustt <3

Tebyl stared dumbly at Marco, uncertain of what he should do.
He glanced back at the corner booth. In no way did he want to
get near Rilynath. He looked at his colleague, Filyln. He
offered no support, a foolish grin on his face. With no other
options, Tebyl stood up and walked to the bar.

'How am I going to do this?' he thought. 'He's with such a
large group; there would be no reason for that besides a
contract.' He looked back at the rowdy group. 'And knowing
him, he wouldn't put up with this if it wasnt for a large
sum of money. . .'

An idea struck him.

He turned and moved slowly, walking past the corner booth,
pausing slightly to try and get Rilynath's attention. The other
patrons were far too rowdy and drunk to pay any attention.
Standing this close to him, Tebyl saw clearly the jagged scar
on his left temple, a legendary wound from a blow that should
have killed him.

Baltyrr stared right at him suddenly.

He tried not to flinch.

Tebyl moved his hands in intricate patterns, using the drow's
obscure hand-signal language to communicate silently.

'Meet me outside in five minutes,' his hands flashed. Baltyrr
paused, and then nodded, barely noticeable.

His message delivered, he strode to the exit discreetly.

Walking out the door and up the small staircase, he realized
that he had just agreed to meet possibly the most dangerous
man in all of Shulei. Alone.

'I knew I shouldn't have gone out tonight. . .'

Apollo called him from the inside of the crowd. "Make it quick, Rhys."

Rhys gave a slight smile as he took the white ball from the hooded man and lined up the shot on the table. When the man said, "Let the game begin," Rhys forced himself to suppress a laugh as the hooded man spread his arms to address the crowd like a preacher. Then he refocused himself, running through the calculations in his head.

Mass of the ball equals .17 kilograms. Distance to target equals 3.6576 meters. Effect of drag: negligible. Maximum height of the center of mass needs to be about 5.715 centimeters to clear the rail. h=1/2gt^2, time equals about .216 seconds. For the ball to travel 3.6576 meters in .216 seconds, the ball needs an initial forward velocity of 16.9 meters per second and an initial upward velocity of 1.06 meters per second, or 16.93 meters per second, 3.6 degrees from the horizontal.

For the ball to have that initial velocity, the ball needs an initial momentum of 2.8781 kilogram-meters per second. Therefore, I need to apply 144 Newtons in .02 seconds right... there!

The calculation took Rhys nine seconds as the crowd watched on, murmuring things like "He'll never make that shot." and "I think he'll do it. You should have seen some of the shots he made tonight." Rhys then sharply struck the cue ball, which hopped off the table, flew cleanly between the two glasses, barely cleared the rail on the opposite end of the table, and landed with a metallic thunk at the bottom of a cylinder filled to the brim with the night's refuse. The crowd stood there in awestruck silence.

Taking his laptop, Rhys and Apollo walked back to their table through a crowd that made way for them. "Miss Toy Doll, we will have our drinks now," he called. Before the hooded man could object, Rhys, with a sly smile and a cool voice, said, "You agreed to shoot from wherever the ball lands. Good luck shooting from the bottom of a filled two hundred liter trash can."

I don't know if I did the mechanics right there, but oh well. If you want to correct me, please do.

The man dazzled for a moment then laugh really hard, "You are beyond expected Doctor. Normally you can just put it in the opponent's corner pockets to end it. If the trash can was empty i would take your challenge, well defeat is defeat. And i already got what i came for."

He then scanned the room, looking for the girl in black gothic cloth. In a moment he found her sitting on one of the bar stools. He make his way through the crowd. Upon reaching he took the money from his pocket and placed it in front of the girl. "Here you are miss, looks like the Doctor really want you" He then left the bar, the dazzling street light and late night crowd awaited him as he walked out. He paused a second in front of the door, looking straight to the night sky. But then he continue to walked, merged with the crowd, then gone to the depth of night.

In his hand, in the pocket there was a note. The objective of that night. The pool, the bet, the drinking were all just adders. Adders that was necessary. He have made his way to his apartment, a-not-so-many-want-to-stay one. One that had bad social environment issues. Nonetheless, it also one place that will not nagging about others business whether it legal or not. He was standing in front of a door, black, and rusted all over it. If a blacksmith saw the iron door, he would committed suicide just because of the bad condition the door was, he waved his hand in a panel just right from the door handle. Then sound of a door being unlock can be heard. The man entered the room, surprisingly the room placement was strange. When the front door opened you will be greet by hallway. With two doors, one on each side, then an opening to the left and right in the end of hallway.

The man walked through the hallway till the end, he turn right, through the opening, there you can find the living room, consisted with brown leather sofa in the middle of the room. Round glass table with one foot beside the sofa. A big silver fridge just beside the opening. A window placed above hip height on the left side from the opening and of course a TV just few meters in front of the sofa.

The man opened the fridge and get himself two cans of beer, he then sat on the sofa. He search something in his pocket, then he pulled out a piece of paper. He read the paper, then smiled a little. He then took a lighter from his pocket, he placed that just in case he needed it, not because he smoked, smoked is bad, on health and on mission. The smell. The smoke. The heat. All that could gave away your position then gave away your life. Continue on he then burn the paper, and tossed it to the table, and turn into black ashes.

"Well looks like the festival is around the corner" he drank one of the beer

Hiro smiled at the girl he immediately recognized from the pool table and tried to keep the annoyance out of his smile as she brought up his lack of height. He decided he would let the remark pass though he really hated to. In the small town he was from no one would have called him short, and anyone who did was taught the lesson not to do it again. It was a rowdy town, the kind of place where no one was trusted. He pushed the bill on top of the picture toward the bartender, Sam he heard the girl call him, and pulled back the picture while he thought rather emotionlessly about his home. He turned to ask the girl if she recognized the person in the sketch as a strange man walked over and put money on the bar in front of her and said something muffled by his hood. The only words Hiro caught were "...doctor..." and "...want you," which was easy enough to piece together the meaning of with the competition they had had.

Hurriedly Hiro put the sketch in front of her, just below the money the man had placed on the bar. "Do you know this man?" he asked eagerly, hoping maybe this last chance at the bar would yield the results he was searching for. 'I had to ask,' he thought to himself as he pictured the person who had given information on his last target in Soryia. He had seen the scraggly looking man multiple times earlier but never thought he would get the information he was looking for from him, asking him only a couple of days to the deadline he was given. "I need to speak with him," Hiro said casually giving unneeded explanation.
