well, the policy doesnt necessarily ban you from making babies, it just tells you not to have another kid because china is overpopulated as it is. "and if you make another baby, that's fine, we'll just tax you and possibly take away your bonus salary, but lucky for you there are some exceptions to the rule." sure humans have the rights to make babies, but why would you when you don't have the means to support a family?

I'll answer the questions anyway. of course monogamy. I don't find love in polygamy. two child policy would not be needed if we just have better self control. "I say give them a job make them busy". it weird but in our country over population and poverty keeps on feeding each other. poor people are also the ones with the biggest family. "no job = more time to make babies" well thats just my theory. |

....how is polygamy and monogamy relevant to the discussion, shige? *smacks shige for not making a relevant post* in other countries the policy isn't necessarily needed as they have the means to support their populaton. like japan. and america, although our economy isn't doing so good right now. it seems to have reasonable success in china. they claim that they have reduced the birth rate by about 240 million births as of 2008. if I remember right from wikipedia -_- yeah it's not a great source for citing, but this isn't english class lol.

no it's not, prove it! at least make sure you relate it to the discussion before bringing it up. if I am talking about the two child policy and someone starts talking about muffins, I will assume it's unrelated unless they link muffins to the two child policy. get it? so no, polygamy is not relevant to the discussion. china doesn't even allow polygamy.... ....does it? and most people would disagree with you, since in alot of cultures, polygamy is frowned upon by society because it's thought to be for selfish, adulterous men.

..but if ppl give birth for like a dozen, would you take care of it? This policy is just suggesting Family Planning, nothing is bad with that. No harm done.  |
