before thinking about getting an emulator.. think about this

is your computer ready to emulate a ps2 game?

a ps2 has the specs of a mid-tech computer... that means your must have computer specs that surpass the ps2's operating standards plus more to operate both a ps2 emulation and computer functions

If you can play a high-spec game like Halo 3 in a mid. to high quality standard, then be my guest and continue pursuing that ps2 emulator

just showering some reality ~.^

I just played Takken, Rave Adventures (Anime), Grandia DX, and Naruto, and other PS2 Games in my PC using the Emulator in this site (www.pcsx2.net) that macky gave me. But, in first: it doesn't run at all; in second: It hangs my PC; and lastly: until I make changes on something. It run smoothly.

I will try Soul Caliber 2 and Halo 3 if I found that PS2 Game in the Market (Pirated CD or Original CD).

So, I'm asking, is there a PSP Emulator you have? I lost my PSP Emulator and can't find now the software in the Web. So I need one PSP Emulator.

And also, I looking for ROMS for SnesX and GB. I can't get any ROMS now because G-Masters was Closed now due to the Low-Site-Profit, Financial Problem and can't pay the Hosting Bills because of lack of Donators. I need some ROMs badly. So please (kung meron man dyan, especially Anime ROMs in GB, SnesX, and NeoGeo) post it in here!

@ For SkyL:

Emulators are not Illegal, but some ROMs are illegal due to copyrights issue. But you're right about getting the Bios Data (but not for me. Hehehehe).

i know it's kinda late to respond, but i just saw this and had to post on it. Using emulators is not illegal, however downloading roms and playing them on those emulators is illegal. What he asked was how to use a game disc for his ps2 on an emulator on his computer which is completely within the law.

Yes, thats right. ROMs are illegal.
If you want to play emulators in your comp, you must have good quality parts that is enough for the computer to play it or you'll break your comp down.

Actually there's some complication with all that if you read into Sony's EULA on PS2s but ehh w/e...

Seriously though, a PS2 emulator will rape your machine horribly unless you've got one that can do stuff like playing Supreme Commander or Crysis on high...

There's so many steps involved, so much hassle tinkering around, and no guarantee it'll all work, so why not just spend the $40-60 and buy a used one from a gamestop or something?? It'll save you a ton of hassle, it's guaranteed under warranty (by the store you buy it from usually), and it'll WORK.

If you're doing this to play games that are of another region however, look up a simple to use kit called Swap Magic. It's a lot easier than a mod chip, and it'll work on any version of PS2.

If you want to put PSX games to PSP. Make sure it works properly in your PSX emulator in your PC before you put in in the PSP.

There are some PSX games that has PBP file format. To convert it to ISO you must have PSXstrip.exe (the easiest way to strip the ISO out of the PBP file).

All you have to do is:
- You must drag & drop the EBOOT.pbp file of the PSX game to the PSXstrip.exe (Nothing will happen when you just open the PSXstrip.exe)
- out.iso will appear on where the PSXstrip.exe is located. That out.iso is the ISO file you have been looking for.

Hope this helps you.

The PS2 emulator you're using can only read .cso files am I right? SO in other words download a file translator. Insert PS2 disc in the PC, explore the disc and highlight all the files and use the translator to change it into .cso format. Then just open the .cso files with the emulator.
