@ SMILE

If blend you mean add more tone or shade to it? You can always add more layers with darker shades

What's an easy way to create an image with a transparent background?
I forgot how to do this, so I need someone to help remind me.
I save an image with transparent setting already on.
I also hid the background layer and I also changed the Opacity and Fill but the result is still the same when I'm about to save it.
I can't believe i forgot somethin' as simple as this but I did only read about it; I never tried it before though.

Ich:: First time doing it was pretty easy though next time or even now, I might try to do the same thing, just not using Gendou.com's cyan color but using the original anime's color.

Oh, and I'm not sure how I made it.
I just looked at other members avatar, and was like "whatever, here I go!"

@DA: you should save it in .PNG format

Q: How can I color effectively using brushes?

Re: Photoshop Question and Answer thread

@ DA

Yeah, PNG format, it has transparency feature...

The background is transparent, but it was created through FLASH :|

@ SMILE

what exactly do you mean by effectively? :3 you mean shading? If that is it then try setting your upper layers into "Multiply" for darker blending or "Screen" for highlights.

So, will I still be able to use it on the site and stuff?
I think I can, I think I can. (=.=)'

DA: I don't know... why not try?
but I think certain browsers(MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER) is a little buggy with it...

Well I use Firefox, and have been using Firefox forever!
I also tried out what you suggested, and it appears that you're correct. Thanks.

@ DA

I have one art here that's in PNG format :3 it's this one:

Key also knows how to use them, I saw him posting some PNG vectored files at the Grafix thread

pngs are only an advantage for images with the transparent attribute because they have a large file size X3

Yep and PNGs compress bigger sizes to small, one of my personal favorite features X3

@ SMILE

real paint? You mean by the use of watercolors? Can you provide examples? :3 The ones that looked as if it was watercolored have that kind of brush on OpenCanvas, I have that program and it has various brushes like airbrush, watercolor, poster paint which gives advantages to your work.
There are many types of digital painting: Softshading, Celshading, etc...

@ Rin

Waaoh~! Hey, question, how do you set up the transparency on a png file anyway? :| I'm always confuzzled at that.

@ imp: what do you mean the transparency? :o
ang alam ko lang pde lang na opacity ish 100% or 0% XD

@ smile: oh yeh, for textured styled painting...
i have programs like corel photo paint and jasc paint shop pro for that.

digital painting? you mean like CGing?~
smudging and re-coloring usually covers it.
