@C, nope, i got it somewhere else...can't remember though... @Maia, yea, i use Linux sometimes, although i still use XP alot. there's not much difference though except that Linux don't use much RAM and Processor as XP does. oh yea, Linux can't play games as well |

@FA- The mascot goes on the taskbar when you have the other windows minimized. If their minimized and the mascot is no where to be seen then click on the taskbar.    |

Kay:: Where do you get your icons? Also, you desktop skins or whatever, are pretty neat. I'm trying to match completely (excluding a few icons maybe).

I find the Barasuisho one a lot better than the others.... must download Bara-chan XD My current desktop:  I'm addicted to tsubasa chronicles' manga again because of how the story changed and evolved. @Kay: i forgot to ask, so what is it like using Linux? I never tried using other Os-es before.. do you think a laptop built for Win98 can be able to run a Linux OS? @jaydiel: In order to grab stuff there you must have an account there.. so are you an active member of AP? lol >_> leechers are everywhere even here..

@C, it's cool. and my PC doesn't lag as much as it does when i used WinXP. i get to customize how my windows looks like and feel, inject packets to grab my neighbor's wireless SSID(note:this is illegal *_*) and use their wireless connection for free and then erase any trace of me being in there.(Windows doesn't have this feature...they do, but you'll have to pay for the software). i can get most softwares without searching around the web too much and most of them are free. i kinda like Linux better than WinXP and it's free. you should be able to run a Linux OS on a notebook built for Win98 without much problems. i recommend using Ubuntu Linux for Linux newbies(it's the most user friendly Linux OS known) |

@C　~スーパーSMILE- Before you jump aboard the Linux express you'll have to remember that Linux doesn't have the outside software/hardware support of Windows. Manufacturer's normally make software available for Windows because it's a more widely used OS (and because Microsoft makes a lot of this stuff.) It's not to say that nothing will work on it, it's just that there's no guarantee it will. Personally I prefer Windows. It has a wider choice for software and as far as games go I can do more than just play a simple card game. If your doing work/business related stuff then go for Linux, but if your looking for your comp to do more than just work then I wouldn't suggest it. Also, Linux takes a little more knowledge than Windows to configure to your liking. At the moment Linux just isn't widespread enough to get the hardware/game support Windows has. Also, depends on where your living and who you are, if your like Bloodymoon and don't mind doing questionable things then maybe it is for you. I personally wouldn't need Linux to leech off someone's wireless, my PSP can do that just fine.XD I'll have another screen up soon. I changed my desktop a bit. (I also got rid of the shortcut arrows.XD) |

@C, as Jon said, most hardware manufacturer doesn't create drivers or softwares for Linux, but the reason why they could work in Linux is because uh...(dang i don't know how to explain it. it has to do with libraries and interfaces and other technical jargon). you also need to know a little bit of Linux's basic command line commands since you'll be using it to install or compile a software. also, you shouldn't jump into Linux right away. you might need some practice to get use to using command line interfaces, but if want to try out Linux, try using it on an old PC that you're not using anymore to practice and get use to the interface first before deciding to make the leap.even if you decide to install and use Linux, i recommend double booting with Linux and Windows. anyways, this is getting outta topic, so we should end the talk about linux here. anyways, will be posting my WinXP desktop soon. the wallpaper i tried to make turned into a disaster T_T, so i'll be looking for a new wallie... |

Maia-san:: Did you make the entire wallpaper yourself? I was coming around to ask you this, but I forgot all the time, lol. Also, how do you do anything without the taskbar there? The only way is to bring up "Windows Task Manager" [alt+ctrl+delete], then switch to whatever window you want. ^_^'

TT___TT but i can't add anything else because dad will get angry if there's too much 'stuff' on the wallpaper. <.<" ooooooooooohhhhhhh~ i set my ObjectDock so it will show the active windows.. but it's still difficult since my ObjectDock is in autohide [and i dont' want to change it because it bothers me when i'm editing things in Photoshop XP] so, i SHOULD remember to hover my mouse on the ObjectDock from time to time. -______- but dad is too busy to send this computer to the shop... -_____- so it isn't fixed yet~! waaaaahhh~ TT________TT |

@Maia,lol...i don't survive on game so meh.... btw, i have the same chobits mascots that ya have^^(got it from the link Izumo gave that time) and they can talk(i use Sumomo XD. i just love her *_*)...but i prefer the Linux version though...whenever i get new e-mail, the mascot will either dance and announce that i've got new mail or set a new mascot then appear from the edge of the screen and walk on the taskbar and then pull out an envelope saying you got new mail and stuff like that^^ |
