The anime's getting really twisted. Priscilla killed Teresa (of the Faint Smile) in like... a flash since she was too careless, and now you have this incredibly powerful Yomi flying around.

I just finished watching episode 9. I really like Clare, but she's not as strong as I thought. |

I think she might learn more moves and get stronger along her journey with Raki. [e d i t] Oiy, so the Clare that was with Teresa became a Claymore and is the current Clare we know now with Raki. *watching episode 9*

I finished ep 9 yesterday; I really have to say; the anime is so wonderful. I was still so upset that Theresa was death. Claire asked the black coat man to put her to Theresa's flesh and blood. I'm looking forward to ep 10. Go, go, Claire...go, go Raki!! mi-chan yori~

Well he's by Clare's side of course. :D I hope his fate, doesn't end up like Clare's. Except... he won't become a Claymore. Ladies only, lol.

guys can be claymore jus that they cant control their power and will turn into awakened ones faster then the ladies |

Exactly, so there are no male Claymores in the organization. Mostly all of them who would've been a Claymore, are already Yomi or Awakened so you can't even call them Hanjinhanyou anymore.

Ano I have doubts whether there's any male Claymore members. As mentioned in anime; awakening ones are actually originates of Claymore (Hanjinhanyou); as what Mr Man in black coat said, Claymore organization do not want to take up responsibilities of the flaw (as he said: awakening ones are also part of their miscalculation), the elders grouped the awakening ones as part of Yomi. In ep. 9 Claire and the three (forgot their names, better not to remember) met an awakening ones; he's a male right?? Wasn't he a former Claymore who transformed into the Awakening beings?? Or, once a Claymore had turned into an Awakening beings; they can eventually change their genders??? I don't have manga; so really wanted to know more abt the story. Perhaps there would be a more detailed explanation in manga which was not in animated series ah~ Domo~ mi-chan yori

i love claymore. so far i watched ep 9. this is awesome anime. im lazy to read mangas... when i watched ep 1 it reminded me blood+. im a big teresa fan, so you know i cried a lot... if anyone didnt watch claymore yet WATCH! WATCH! WAAAAAAACH!!!

» åƒé³¥ãŠãƒãƒ“, I guess they were Claymores, original of course. But, once you become "Awakened", then you're not considered a Claymore or Hanjinhanyou anymore. In episode 9, the Awakened Yomi is a male because when the leader tried to get closer, she saw him out and then she was attacked without sensing it before hand.

There were male Claymores. In the very begining, all Claymores were males, but they reached their limits too quickly and thus, females, who doesn't reach their limits as quickly were used. Once a Claymore Awakens, they lose all of their humanity and become full monsters. An Awakened Being cannot change their genders. Mr. Man in Black is named Rubel. The 3 with Clare are named Miria (#6), Deneve (#15), and Helen (#22)

Minna-san: Thank you for those who replied my query. Yep; watched ep 10; and Claire is so kakkoi~ My; I can't believe that she can actually move like that. I think Helen is dropping her glasses...hahha...for No.47 to move like. Its getting more and more exciting!! I really can't wait for the next episode to come!!! mi-chan yori

She looked like Teresa dodging those attacks so easily... Her methods were very simple though.
