Im working on this one karuzo~san ^^ (EDIT: Now done, see link below) It can be very difficult to translate from romaji, and Ive had a hard time finding a kanji version, but I have one now, even though I think it contains mistakes. The the anime sub version has mistakes too, so its a bit tricky ^^; Still, fascinating song to translate, should have it done soon, but it wont be perfect, i dont think. lets see ^^ Sadame means decision or law, regulation etc. It means "something that has been determined" so it can mean "fate" or "destiny", which are believed to be "pre-determined". I think in the song, this is the meaning. UPDATE: English translation here: Destiny - Shukumei (English) ☆★☆★ Jin~san: "Hi can someone help me translate (one hit kill) in romanji i saw this word in one of the forums but i kindda forgot where to find it.please" ikken hissatsu 一拳必殺 in kanji literally: one fist invariable kill ichi-ken hitsu-satsu but said "ikken hissatsu"  |

is 1)zettai= definitely, surely? yes, it means absolute, unconditional (noun) with another noun its "zettai no" with a verb or adjective its "zettai ni" e.g. "zettai no fukujuu" (absolute obedience), "zettai ni omoshiroi da" (totally fascinating) With some words ni & no are not used, not sure what the rules are for that! e.g. zettai hantai (total opposition), zettai yaru (I will definitely do it!) 2)yorokobi= happiness? yes, or "delight". from the verb yorokobu, to be glad. what is the meaning of: 1) zutto (can be used in many ways) "all along","for a long time", "straight through" (lit. "straight") "zutto mae ni" means "a long time ago". "zutto touku ni" means "a long way off", "in the distance" zutto + direction means "far (in that direction)" e.g. okinawa wa, zutto minami no kata da (Okinawa is far to the south) 2) aitsu "that guy", when referring to someone not present, or at a distance. also koitsu, "this guy" (here), and soitsu "that guy" (just there). "itsu" means guy (impolite). ko- so- a- are the same as in kono, sono, ano, etc. |

yoroshiku (宜ã—ã) is an adverb, its honorific (used to show respect) the kanji yoro means good or well. When people say "yorishiku ne" or "douzo yoroshiku" etc. its actualy short for "douzo yoroshiku onegai shimasu" which means something crawly like, "i beg you treat me with kindness". Talk like this died out in English 100s of years ago, but its still expected in Japan. |

Sorry, I think the scans will too low-res for people to read many of the kanji. I couldnt read it well enough, anyway. Oh Smania, Oh Furie is from an opera called Idomeneo by Mozart, by the way. The lyrics are originally Italian. |

Eek, missed this translation question, somehow. omatase shimashita ^^; Just some comments on pinkrms answers shoppai is a good word, but its kind of colloquial, but you might want to know "shiokarai" which is the more standard word for salty taste, lots of people will say shoppai though. Also might as well mention "hot/spicy" which is "karai" as its in the same group of words for tastes (in fact its the same words as in shiokarai). samui is used for a cold atmosphere or that you are feeling the cold temperature, tsumetai is used for something cold to touch, and for a cold personality or attitude. eg its a cold day: samui hi desu Do you feel cold? samui desu ka BUT a cold wind is tsumetai kaze cold beer: tsumetai biiru Sakura is cold to Naruto! (unfriendly, cold-hearted): sakura wa naruto niwa tsumetaiyo! Of course, the illness "a cold" is something else, "kaze" same word as wind, but spelled differently. |
