DNA testing

I don't think this is too old of a current event.....Anyway, my teacher brought it in about 2 weeks ago..... Anyone hear about the testing of a swab from your cheek that tells you your ethnic status? The class talked about this man who thought he was African but really Indian (as in from India, not Native American). Anyway I thought this was interesting ^^. I think it's sort of linked to the case of Jefferson and all his kids, in a way?....That was an interesting story too. |

That actually isn't really that surprising to hear, especially scince they have been using that sort of DNA analysis in crime labs for at least the past two decades. It is surprisingly accurate too, seeing as how it can also give a reasonable estimate on the persons age as well as gender, that is assuming that the DNA sample was a saliva sample that was found nowhere near the person in question.  |
