KOTOR 1 The story is better drawn out. The subplots just don't end before their conclusion (ie the droids subplot). The story actualy ends, as opposed to the mysterious ending of KOTOR 2 (not a good mysterious). Alhough KOTOR 2 offers a more robust combat system some of the new force powers serve little purpose (ie force sight). Enimies twards the end of the game become push-overs while the bosses become increasingly impossible (ie final boss's lightsabers). Also KOTOR 1 is slighly the longer, while offering overall less number of worlds the time required for each is longer. Also the average size (walkable terrain) in KOTOR 2 is larger but often filled with little interactivity (people that talk, quest areas, item pickups, ect.) I do have both games, I have achieved both female and male ending on both light and dark for both games. Overall I've dumped over 200 hours of my life into both games. I still play KOTOR 1, but not KOTOR 2. |

I agree, and also another thing about KOTOR 2: In Citadel Station, at the beginning of the game, your character seems to have difficulties striking the enemies with any type of weapon |

:P Old thread, old game, I know, but I've got a couple of questions. So I just replayed KOTOR 1 twice in a row non stop (-.- I know, I have no life) and I was wondering about 2. I'm really bored this summer and I don't have much money so I was wondering if KOTOR 2 is worth buying since it's relatively cheap now. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it and if anyone has any opinions about it, it'd be helpful. :) |
