quicktime prt2

Alright rather than flame me explain why quicktime no longer works as a plug-in? That faq doesn't list it as a bad program.... i did pay for it afterall so i could listen to the first part decide if i want the song or not and then finish downloading. I'm not a moron, i've been with this site for 2 years now and i've been using quicktime the entire time. Gendou are you blocking quicktime now? This really sucks. edit... this is depressing cuz if quicktime doesn't work here anymore i'm probably not gonna download anymore here. I loved the site too. :( If you search my older posts in my info you'll see just about the only times i've posted here were about quicktime lol :( I read through some other threads and you say that streaming causes bandwidth problems? well i can see that from most of those programs because a lot of them don't let you save the file after the download is finished. a registered version of quicktime lets you save the file when its done... so it acts just like a normal download as a "save-as" but you can listen at the same time and cancel if you don't want the song. I have one last question if this is a perm (because quite a few of the songs still do work with quicktime), can you make it so only registered versions of quicktime can download? Thanks for reading gendou. Oh and PLEASE for the love of god let me at least respond to this thread once before you lock it if you plan on locking it. |

Here's a tip: download the file and if you don't like it delete it from your hard drive. It's that simple! ![]() ![]() |

Okay, I apologize if I have been rude to you thusfar, but if you're streaming, you really are wasting bandwidth. Just because you're using a registered version of Quicktime doesn't mean it downloads files 'normally'. What you're doing is wasting bandwidth for files you don't want after listening to them for a few seconds. If you need an analogy, I have one up my sleeve. Other than that, if you don't want an explanation from me, I'll leave it here then. Good luck! ...(You might be asking what the hell's that supposed to mean :P) Edit: Okay, I spoke to late. Gendou, I'll give my analogy here, so tell me if this is good or not. ANALOGY In your situation, think of it like this; you turn a hose on and water flows out. After leaving it on for a few seconds, you decide you want to turn it off, thus wasting water in the process. The next time you turn the hose on, you decide to leave it on and do something with it instead of waste the water. But you come back and start the hose again and decide you don't want to use the water, wasting it again. This is what happens when you stream media from a server. ![]() ![]() |

Ok here we go: explanation not all of the mp3 files are hosted on gendou.com. some are linked up from my various accounts elsewhere. this change effects only gendou.com. i do not believe that you know how to read. if you did, you would have read the above thread.

It's a shame you had to ban me for 3 months, i appologised in an email and i appologise here too. Like i said... i do know how to read; i do know how to do more than that(how you think i got back here?). I just wanted an explanation thats all (i didn't see that post before thank you for showing it to me). PS: quicktime uses a cache so if i were to do what you say i do rice it still wouldn't waste bandwidth. Your analogy is flawed. |

I tried to be nice, but here goes. I fail to see how downloading a song and then deleting it is something someone like you CANNOT do. 1) It's common sense. 2) It's simple. 3) Read the RULES. Also, getting around a ban does NOT help you. ![]() ![]() |
