i dont get it... i saved a .css file in a folder different from the location that i stored my html file. like example: files%jhong%internet%???.html and files%data%???.css. The problem is that when i use (link) to use the .css file, it doesnt load. Should they belong to the same folder, or at least in a folder within the folder containing the html file?

you can use link to include a css file from anyplace that the browser can download it from. for example, http://www.foo.bar/some.css or C://Windows/bill_gates.css as long as the browser can read the file, the contents will be parsed by the css engine. if the css is not working, chances are you have a syntax error. |

Hey, I looked at this thread and I thought it was about the CSS in the signatures. I just thought this was the coolest forum I've ever been into cause you're free to edit using CSS. And it actually works! Although some people might abuse it...

i thought about the possibility of people abusing the CSS. my forum has been designed with that in mind. for example, someone might put a </html> tag in their nickname, screwing up the page wherever their nickname is displayed. i think the fact that they will get the shit banned out of them is reason enough to deter anyone from exploiting potential this security hole. |
